Funeral services for Mr. Johnathan McCaleb will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery in West Monroe.
Mr. McCaleb Passed away Friday, Feb. 6, following an automobile accident. He was born Sept. 21, 1964.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Hightower and father, Johny McCaleb.
He is survived by his wife, Delores of West Monroe; daughters, Johnni McCaleb of Minden, Melanie Clower and fiancé Mark Shipley of West Monroe; sons, Justin McCaleb of Minden, and Jeremy Clower and wife Jana of Florida; one granddaughter, Jayden Shipley of West Monroe; sisters, Susan Wood of Oklahoma , Sherriel McCaleb of Ringgold and Crystal Stanford of Minden; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

George Wise
Funeral services for Mr. George Blanchard Wise, 81, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. Kit Hathorn officiating and the Rev. Dwight Wesson assisting. Burial followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Mr. Wise, a native of Springhill and a resident of Minden, Passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, in Shreveport. He was a retired engineer for L&A Railroad. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, and was a member of the American Legion and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Cosper Wise of Minden; son, Maurie Wayne Wise of Minden; daughter, Sarah Elaine Merritt and husband George Curtis of Heflin; grandchildren, Adam W. Merritt and wife Sherry of Ringgold, Paul Curtis Merritt of Heflin, Sarah Louise Wise, Melissa Anne Wise and Christina Marie Wise, all of Minden.

Katherine Carter
Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine “Kat” Carter will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at St. Rest Baptist Church in Minden. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Homer under the direction of Patterson Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Carter Passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport, after a brief illness.

Glayds Cone
Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Graves Monzingo Cone, 96, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Randy Hales officiating. Burial will follow at Minden Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 6 p.m. today, Feb. 6, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cone, a native of Strong, Ark., and a resident of Minden, Passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, in Minden. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, N.J. Cone and Glen Monzingo; daughters, Jean Scruggs, Sybil Osborn, Ann Crawford, Cecile Cole and Matt Ward.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Monzingo Ballard and son-in-law James C. Ward; brothers and sisters, John H. Graves, Opal New, Geneva Wilder of Arkansas, and Sue Majors of Texas , and Irene Thomas of West Monroe; grandchildren, Pam Loftin and husband Bob, Annette Wimberly, Layten Osborne, Donna Ashley and husband Bill, Stan Haney and wife Belinda and John Crawford; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

John Cornelius
Funeral services for Mr. John Earl Cornelius will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Wesley Grove CME in Cotton Valley. Burial will follow at Wesley Grove Cemetery under the direction of Patterson Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. today, Feb. 6, at the funeral home.

Willie Heard
Funeral services for Willie “Coopy” Heard will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Miller Chapel Gospel Baptist Church under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Homer.

Hazel Key
Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Lorraine Key will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 7 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Minden. The place of burial will be Sheppard Street Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Chapel Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Willie Bradford
Funeral services for Willie “Coopy” Bradford will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Miller Chapel Gospel Baptist Church under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Homer.

Lin Holston
Funeral services for Mr. Lin Ervin Holston will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Tillman Church of God in Christ in Heflin. Services are under the direction of Miller-Pioneer Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the funeral home.
Mr. Holston, a resident of Bossier City, Passed away at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27. He was born Feb. 10, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He moved to Heflin in the summer of 1966. He was the son of Ida Mae Cash of Heflin and Linnard Holston of Ogden, Utah. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior while attending Tillman Church of God in Christ. In Bossier, he was a member of Harvest Temple Church of God in Christ. He graduated from Sibley High School in 1976, and attended Webster State College in Ogden and Southern University in Baton Rouge. He was a member of the U.S. Army for two years. His passion was being a volunteer advocate for persons with disabilities. He was a volunteer staff member on the board of directors with the New Horizon Independent Living Center.
Mr. Holston was from a family of four siblings, one brother and two sisters. He was married to Annette Coleman Holston, and had two children, Jonathan and JaWana Holston.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bedford Cash; and father-in-law, John C. Coleman.
He is survived by his wife; his parents; mother-in-law, Mattie A. Coleman of Heflin; son, Jonathan Lin Darick Holston of Dallas, Texas ; daughter, JaWana DeAndra Holston of Heflin; sisters, Serula Little and husband Nick of Austin, Texas ; Carolyn Nicholson and husband Hilton of Westborough, Mass., sister-in-law, Jocelyn Cash of Montgomery, Ala.; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Louis Blackmon
Funeral services for Mr. Louis Edward Blackmon will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden. Burial will follow at Doyline Community Cemetery.

Greg Gray
Funeral services for Mr. Greg Gray, 47, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at First United Pentecostal Church in Minden with the Rev. Tom Murphy officiating and the Rev. T.W. Barnes, the Rev. Bob Rhymes and the Rev. Jason Calhoun assisting. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. today, Feb. 2, at the funeral home.
Mr. Gray, a lifelong resident of Minden, Passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, in Shreveport. He was the former owner of Gray’s Jewelry in Minden. He was a professional jeweler throughout his entire career. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawson Gray.
He is survived by his two sons, Chad Nicholas Gray and wife Elizabeth of Minden, Phildon Ryan Gray and wife Rachel of Minden; mother, Rosemary Gray of Minden; one brother, Benny Gray and wife Millie of Minden; three sisters, Aundria Hunter and husband Herman “Doc” of Texarkana, Ark., Lona Murphy and husband, the Rev. Tom Murphy of Spring, Texas , Reba Dawson and husband Mike of Kerrville, Texas ; three grandsons, Nicholas Gray, Dillon Gray and Jacob Williams; many nieces and nephews; a host of family and friends; and lifelong friend Reed Bogues.
Pallbearers will be Reed Bogues, Bruce Gray, Steve White , Daniel White , Jarrod Murphy and Lonnie Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Dawson and Kevin Gray.

Christine Koonce
Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Hawkins Koonce, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 2, 2004, at Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. J.C. Clements officiating. Burial will follow at Zions Rest Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Mrs. Koonce, a resident of Minden, Passed away Friday, Jan. 30. She was born Nov. 2, 1923, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Chuck Koonce and wife Benita of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Charlene Dickenson of Memphis, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Shaun David Koonce and Christine Lucille Koonce.

Roger Wilson
Funeral services for Mr. Roger Lee Wilson, 74, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 2, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson, a native of Selma and a resident of Minden for the past 50 years, Passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, in Shreveport. He was a retired pipe fitter for Riley Beaird. He was also a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife Doris L. Wilson of Minden; two sons, Mike Wilson and wife Cindy of Minden, Kelly Wilson of Blanchard; three daughters, Glenda Collums and husband Ronny of Minden, Diane Davis and husband Earl of Minden, Jo Neal and husband Grady of Bossier City; one brother, Grady Wilson and wife Myra of Minden; one special grandson, Jordan Wilson of Minden, and 14 more wonderful grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of wonderful friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Grace Home.

Sarah Coburn
Graveside services for Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Faith Coburn, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden with the Rev. Don McCormick officiating. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 7 p.m., today, Jan. 30, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Coburn, a resident of Minden for most of her life, Passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born Dec. 31, 1924. She was a faithful member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Sears, where she worked from 1957 until 1985.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Coburn Jr.; parents, Ed and Ethel Faith; and “little brother,” Ed Newman Faith Jr.
Mrs. Coburn, better known as “Nana,” is survived by her son, R.G. and wife Debbie Coburn of Princeton; two grandsons, Robby Coburn and wife Ashley of Haughton, Randy Coburn and wife Nicole of Princeton; one granddaughter, Marsha White and husband Jimmy of Bossier City; six great-grandchildren, Kyelor and Kelsey Coburn, Ryan, Sarah, Ashley, and Madison White ; three sisters, Ann Wyatt of Grand Prairie, Texas , Pearlie Sherrill of Grand Prairie, and Elzie Reagan of Minden; one brother, Leroy Faith and wife Ethel of Bossier City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary Building Fund, 102 Seminary Drive, Minden, LA 71055; or Christus Schumpert Hospice, One Saint Mary Place, Shreveport, LA 71101.

Bonnie Sumrall
Funeral services for Bonnie Lou Batton Sumrall, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Richard Methvin officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bastrop under the direction of Golden’s Funeral Home in Bastrop.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at the church.
Miss Bonnie was born Dec. 17, 1917, in Brookhaven, Miss., to Leola and Harvey Batton. She Passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, in Minden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Sumrall; brothers, W. J. (Dub) Batton and Jimmy Batton; sister, Malloy McManus; daughter-in-law, Ann Sumrall; son-in-law, Coy Son; grandchildren, Christie Lynette Sumrall and Brian Sumrall; and great grandchildren Nicholas and Austin LeSueur.
She is survived by two daughters, Ada Son of Madisonville, Ky., and Debbie Sumrall and husband Joe Sumrall of Minden; two sons, Guy Applewhite and wife Wilma of Picayune, Miss., and David Sumrall and wife Diana of Lumberton, Texas ; two sisters, Faye Lawrence and husband Ed of Bogalusa, and Sue Sumrall and husband B.L. of Bogalusa; sister-in-law, Betty Batton of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Chatman, Gary Floyd, Tim Greer, Phil Guin, Robert Jackson , and Jeff McCormick. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Memorials may be made to the Eastside Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1201 Park Hwy., Minden, LA 71055.

Mary Lineberry
Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Agnes Lineberry, 76, will be held at 3 p.m. today, Jan. 27, 2004, at Springhill Cemetery with the Rev. Cleo Paul officiating. Services are under the direction of Bailey Mortuary in Springhill.
Mrs. Lineberry, a native of Troy, Ala., and a resident of Springhill, Passed away Friday, Jan. 23, in Shreveport following a lengthy illness. She was born July 20, 1927, to Vallie Frances Wilkerson Mills and Terrell G. Mills Jr. She was a longtime resident of this area and business owner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Harold Lineberry I; her brother, Terrell G. Mills Jr.; and her sister, Betty Mills Fricke.
She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Lineberry Pepper of Naalehu, Hawaii, Elaine Lineberry Addison of Daejeon, South Korea; one son, James H. Lineberry and wife Lisa of Minden; six grandchildren, Jennifer Pepper Talley and husband Heath of Frisco, Texas , Donald Heath Addison and wife Dr. Gillian Addison of Boston, Mass., Heather Addison Goodman and husband Kraig of Crane, Mo., Amanda Lineberry, Stephanie Lineberry and Jamie Lineberry, all of Minden; and four great-grandchildren, Skylar Madison Talley and Chloe Peyton Talley, both of Frisco, Kylie Grace Goodman and Nicholas William Goodman, both of Crane.

Flora Anderson
Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Lee Anderson, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City with the Rev. Bill Ichter officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. today, Jan. 26, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderson, a native of Limestone County, Texas , and a resident of Haughton, Passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, in Minden. She was a retired dietician for the Bossier Parish School Board. She was a devoted wife of 61 years and a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, G.J. Anderson of Haughton; son, William Arch Anderson and wife Reita of Shreveport; daughter, Linda Irene Miller and husband James of Minden; sister, Willie Fae Roberts of Haughton; brother, Melvin R. Sterling of Mexia, Texas ; granddaughters, Shannon Wilson and husband Todd, Tina Haynes and husband Jeff, Jamie Boothe and husband Scott, Dawn Allen and husband Danny; and great-grandchildren, Cierra Wilson, Hayden Haynes, Stanton Haynes, Mary Claire Booth, Elynn Kate Boothe, Charles Wine, Heather Starr, McKenzie Allen and Madison Allen.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Haynes, Scott Boothe, Todd Wilson, Danny Allen, Paul Zimmerman and Charles Starr.

Funeral services for Mr. Carlmetheius L. Hill will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at Benevolent Funeral Home in Shreveport.
Burial will follow at Sheppard Street Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 7 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
