Funeral services for Mrs. Jewel Marie Adcock Curry, 91, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 25, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with Dr. Richard May officiating and the Rev. Tom Carlton assisting. Burial will follow at Doyline Cemetery.
Mrs. Curry, a native of Hall Summit and a resident of Doyline, Passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, in Doyline. She was a retired clerk for the Postal Service in Doyline. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Doyline, and loved her Faithful Followers Sunday School class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rufus Curry; and son, William Richard Curry.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Curry Reeves and husband Roger C. of Doyline; sisters, Mary Giddens of Ringgold, and Ada Bess "Bobbie" Talbert of Blanchard; brother, Elton "Sambo" Adcock of Ringgold; grandchildren; William Robert Curry and wife Pam of Houma, Diane Carpenter of Shreveport, Kelli Reeves Madden and husband Stacy of Haughton, Leigh Ann Reeves of Haughton, and Kara Harris and husband Shane of Doyline; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Simmons, Wayne Adcock, Hal Montgomery, Robert Hayden, Robert Giddens and Gary Giddens. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church in Doyline.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.

Annie Musgrow
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Gillis Musgrow, 84, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Good Samaritan Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. B.F. Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Sheppard Street Cemetery under the direction of Miller-Pioneer Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from noon until 5 p.m. today, Aug. 25, and family hour from 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Louise ReavesLouise Reaves
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise C. Reeves, 76, will be held at Mt. Calm Baptist Church with the Rev. T.A. Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Sheppard Heights Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Reaves Passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, at Minden Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Reaves; father, Dave Corley; mother, Caroline C. Valentine; daughter, Linda R. Henry; and two sons, Roderick Reaves and Kerry Dale Corley.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherrell Corley of Minden; sons, Kelvin Corley of Riverside, Calif., Dwight Reaves of Bossier City, David E. Reaves of Leominister, Mass., and William Seamster of Shreveport; and brother, F.C. Corley of Winnfield.

Marilyn Lowe
Graveside services for Mrs. Marilyn Brown Lowe will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden with the Rev. J. Roddy Taylor , pastor of First United Methodist Church in Minden, officiating, and Father Karl Daigle, pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, assisting. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Family visitation will be held from 1 until 3 p.m. in the Wesley Room at First United Methodist Church, located at 903 Broadway in Minden.
Mrs. Lowe, a native and resident of New Orleans, Passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, at her home in New Orleans. She was born June 9, 1946 at the Methodist Children's Home in New Orleans. She was a creative person who loved children. She graduated from Minden High School in 1964, from Louisiana Tech in 1968, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She received a master's degree in special education from the University of New Orleans. She was a retired educator. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1235 Louisiana Ave., in New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her father, J. Davidson Brown of Minden.
She is survived by her mother, Rolene Brown of The Glen in Shreveport; her son, Clayton Davidson Lowe and wife Jennifer Powell Lowe of New Braunfels, Texas ; sister, Beth Brown O'Donnell and husband Sammy of Shreveport; nephew, Davidson Brown O'Donnell of New Orleans; and niece, Virginia O'Donnell Pederson and husband Jeremie of Houston, Texas .
Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities Development Dept., 1000 Howard, Suite 700, New Orleans LA 70113 to help others with mental health disorders.

Billy Ray LeDoux
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Ray LeDoux, 61, will be held at 4 p.m. today, Aug. 23, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Sulphur.
Mr. LeDoux, a native of Sulphur and a resident of Minden, Passed away this morning, Aug. 23, in Minden. He was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maebel; and father, Joseph LeDoux.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Sean LeDoux, Michael Dean LeDoux, Anthony Craig LeDoux; daughter, Christina Renee LeDoux Starkey; sisters, Pam LeDoux and Michelle Prejean.
Pallbearers will be Robby LeDoux, Anthony LeDoux, Mike LeDoux and Brian Starkey.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Nadine Smith
Funeral services for Mrs. Nadine Reeves Smith will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, with Dr. Scott L. Tatum officiating. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. today, Aug. 20, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith, a native of Stamps, Ark., Passed away Monday, Aug. 16. She was born on April 12, 1922. Her family moved to Minden in 1923. She graduated from Minden High School in 1939, and went into nursing training at Tri-State Hospital. She married John Walter Smith of Alexandria. She was a loving mother and grandmother, always offering words of encouragement and Southern hospitality. She loved the Lord and she loved music, playing the piano and singing.
On earth, she enjoyed sitting on the back porch, watching the birds and having her morning coffee. She was blessed beyond measure. As the daughter of a Baptist preacher, she heard the gospel early and often.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Bobbie Jean Sanford and Frances Ham.
She is survived by her children, John W. Smith Jr. and his two daughters, Whitney and Shelley; Judy Smith Lindle and her five children, Robin Henry, Michael Herriage, Christi Luby, Wendy Roche' and Julie Hays; SuEllen Smith Bond and her three children, Jack Bond Jr., Jason Bond and Jennifer Patton; and a stepdaughter, Ann Coody; sister, Christine Parnell and her brothers, Wayne and Claude Reeves; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Philip Collins
Funeral services for Mr. Philip DWayne Collins, 67, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Camp 8 United Pentecostal Church in Otis with the Rev. Samuel Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Camp 8 United Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Otis under the direction of John Kramer and Son. Military honors will be provided by Barksdale Air Force Base.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. until midnight, Friday, Aug. 20, and from 8 a.m. until the time of services at the church in Otis.
Mr. Collins, a resident of Elmer, Passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, at his residence. He was a retired master sergeant after 21 years of service in the United States Air Force, and was a Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Collins; and four sisters, Maxine Watts, Denease Trent, Clarice Vascocu and Amy Leggett.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Lorraine Collins of Elmer; two daughters, Phyllis Lambert and husband Benny and Karen Alexander Jusselin, all of Elmer; two sons, Darrell Collins and wife Lisa of Elmer, and Jerry Collins and wife Debbie of Tioga; two sisters, Arnettie Jones of Minden, and Verdie Young of Pioneer, Calif.; one brother, Simon "Doc" Collins of Louisville, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Bruce Alexander, Jason Lambert, Brent Collins, Brandy Savage and Amy Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Terrell, Randy Terrell, Randy Leggett, Jeff Leggett, Steve Hale and Marvin Jones.

Donald Griffin
A memorial service for Mr. Donald Lee Griffin, 62, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton.
Mr. Griffin Passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, after a long illness. He was born Oct. 11, 1941 in Minden. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, graduated from Homer High School in 1959, and for six years, served in the Army National Guard in the 1086th Transportation Unit. He was a disc jockey in the Shreveport area for more than 20 years and was a member of the DJ Hall of Fame in Nashville. He worked several years for KASO, KWKH and KRMD. He was an accomplished musician, published songwriter, and was a member of many bands over the years.
Mr. Griffin moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1979, residing there for 19 years, where he pursued careers in music, real estate and gold mining. He returned to Minden in 1997.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Albert Griffin; mother, LaVaye P. Griffin and his brother, Harold Kelly.
He is survived by his wife Tamara Mingo Griffin; daughters, Donna Eaves and husband Jack of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Nyah Merritt of Minden, Jerri Giordano of Ruston; sister, Marie Parker of Minden; lifelong friend, James Crow of Ontario, Calif.; three grandchildren, Jacob, Jonathan and Rebecca; and many nieces and nephews.

Gerald Hennigan
Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Randall Hennigan, 52, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday Aug. 15, 2004, at Bethel Church of Christ with Steve Bartlett and James Harston officiating. Burial followed at Bethlehem Cemetery in Calvin under the direction of Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield.
Mr. Hennigan, a resident of Calvin, Passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, at Minden Medical Center. He was retired from Global Santa Fe of the oil industry. He was the son of Paul Hennigan and Penny Locke Hennigan of Minden.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte McNeill Hennigan of Calvin; three sisters, Paulette McPherson of Pineville, Angel Hennigan of Shreveport, and Jackie Baylis of West Columbia, Texas ; one brother, Ricky Hennigan of Minden; and a host of close friends.
Pallbearers were Robert Kelly, Mike Baughman, Jerry Rhymes, Frank Collins, Jimmy Delaughter, Alan Hennigan, Rudy Hennigan and Victory David.

Jeanette Hicks
Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette Irene Hicks, 86, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 19, 2004, at First United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. J. Roddy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Hicks, a native of Letona, Ark., and a resident of Minden, Passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, in Minden. She was a bookkeeper for William and Hicks Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Sherrill Hicks.
She is survived by her sisters, Lula Mae Williams and husband Cy of Minden, and Geneva Headstream of Minden; nephews, Danny Headstream of Eatonton, Ga., and Scott Hicks of Morrilton, Ark.; nieces, Cindy Williams Brewer of Collierville, Tenn., Jill Headstream McClure of Wimberly, Texas , and Jan Headstream Hoke of Asheville, N.C.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Minden.

Jeanette Hicks

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Mae Robinson will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Haynesville School Auditorium.
Burial will follow at Hightower Cemetery in Homer under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. at Church of Christ in Haynesville.

Julia C. Traylor
Funeral services for Mrs. Julia C. Traylor will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Beach Grove Baptist Church in Spearsville.
Burial will follow at Beach Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Spearsville under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 7 until 8 p.m. at the church.

Helen Yates
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Harvey McLaren Yates were to be held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 17, 2004, at Bailey Funeral Home with Dr. Burton Blair officiating. Burial was to follow at Springhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Yates, a native of Hortman and a lifelong resident of the Springhill area, Passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, in Springhill. She was born Nov. 6, 1923, and was a member of Springhill United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Arnold McLaren and V. "Red" Yates; brother, J.A. Harvey and sister, Bonnie Hall.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jeanne McLaren Aillet and husband, Robert Jr. of Monroe, Bonnie McLaren Baiamonte of Stafford, Texas ; grandchildren, Brandon Aillet of McKinney, Texas , Kristen Aillet, Jordan Aillet, both of Monroe, Kimberly Baiamonte, John Baiamonte, both of Stafford, Texas ; great-grandchildren, Emily Aillet and Caleb Aillet, both of McKinney; and one niece and one nephew.
