Funeral services for Mr. U.L. Martin, 69, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at Springhill CME Church on Germantown Hwy, with the Rev. Joseph Martin. Burial will follow at Springhill Community Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Martin Passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivory Martin.
He is survived by his mother, Corene Martin of Minden; two brothers, Leroy and James L. Martin of Minden; two sisters, Doris Martin Harris and Loris Martin of Santa Monica, Calif.; one uncle, the Rev. Joseph Martin; two aunts, Everlean Harper and Ethel Kennedy.

Phil Sellers
Funeral services for Mr. Phil Sellers, 63, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Randy Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Woodard Cemetery in Taylor .
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, Sept. 30, at the funeral home.
Mr. Sellers, a native of Birmingham, Ala., and a resident of Minden, Passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, in Shreveport. He was retired from Delta Airlines. He was a Mason, Scottish Rite, Shriner, member of the NRA, SASS, SCV, and the SAR. He was also a member of Taylor Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Sellers of Minden; son, Mark Sellers of Thompson's Station, Tenn.; daughter, Erin Brand of Chapin, S.C.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the Single Action Shooting Society.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Sybil Reeves
Funeral services for Mrs. Sybil Cook Reeves, 81, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with Minister Benny Baker, Jim Frazier and Adrian DeLukie officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 5 until 9 p.m. today, Sept. 29, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reeves, a native of Simsboro and a resident of Minden, Passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, in Shreveport. She was a retired owner of Bayou Inn Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Aubrey Reeves; and her son, George Lynn Reeves.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Landaiche and husband Carroll of Minden; sister-in-law, Alene Cook of Kenah, Texas ; two step-sisters, Myrtle Pfister of Easton, Pa., and Hazel Clymer of New Jersey; six grandchildren, David Landaiche and wife Patricia, Susan Landaiche Roddy, Sharollyn Landaiche and husband Joe Gray, Cord Landaiche and wife Shannon, Gregor Reeves and wife Kindra, and Meagan Cook and husband Rodney; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and devoted friends, Jimmy and Wilma Allums, Ruby and Perry Sanders, Stan and Gloria Kaczenski and Peggy Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Cord Landaiche, David Landaiche, Jimmy Allums, Perry Sanders, Cornel Landaiche and Gregor Reeves.

David Lee Fox
Funeral services for Mr. David Lee Fox, 48, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 28, 2004, at First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, Ark., with the Rev. Jim Polk and the Rev. Phil Pinkard officiating. Services are under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Mr. Fox, a native of Shreveport and a resident of El Dorado, Passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, at Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born Aug. 4, 1956 to parents, William Earl Fox and Virginia Stewart Fox. He was a chemical engineer for Amercable; International Cable Engineers Association and El Dorado Jaycees. He was also an Eagle Scout and a member of First United Methodist Church.
The family will be at 715 East 9th, El Dorado, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Lis" Fox of El Dorado; mother, Virginia Fox of Minden; daughter, Stephanie Alice Fox of El Dorado; sister, Jenell Kidd of Minden; nephew, Josh Tucker of Minden; and niece, Jena Tucker of Minden.
Memorials may be made to David Lee Fox Memorial Scholarship Fund at Simmons First Bank. The account number is 86151901. Contributions may be made at any Simmons First Bank location throughout Arkansas.

Claire Robinson
Funeral services for Mrs. Claire Robinson, 68, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at Brushwood Methodist Church with the Rev. Judy Bazer officiating. Burial will follow at Brushwood Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. today, Sept. 27, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robinson, a native and resident of Minden, Passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, in Minden. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Mabel Holley; and sister, Linda Reynolds.
She is survived by her husband, John "Robbie" Robinson of Dubberly; daughter, Jane Harris of Port Allen; brother, Bootsie Holley of Dubberly; nieces, Debbie Reynolds and Leanne Holley; nephew, Jeff Reynolds; and great-nephew, Aubrey Reynolds.
Pallbearers will be Ray Worsham, Bud Perryman, Sandy Perryman, Harold Holley, Steve Robinson and Curtis Hirth. Honorary pallbearer will be her nephew, Aubrey Reynolds.

James Moore
Funeral services for Mr. James Doris Moore, 68, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at Miller-Pioneer Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Ricky Alstock and the Rev. Felix Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Merritt Cemetery in Claiborne Parish.
Mr. Moore, a resident of Minden, Passed away at Willis-Knighton Hospital in Shreveport. He was a native of Homer.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gloria Jane Moore; brother, Willie Clyde Moore, Neil Moore of California; sister, Marilyn Moore and son, Roy Lee Rice.

Rayford Farrington
Funeral services for Mr. Rayford Charles Farrington, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 23, 2004, at Bailey Mortuary with the Rev. Bill Lott officiating. Burial will be held at Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Farrington, a native and lifelong resident of this area, Passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, at his residence after a long illness. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy, and was a retired welder with FMC Sidewinder Equipment Company in Minden.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Martile Beene Farrington; son, Charles Ray Farrington, both of Springhill; a step-son, Jerry Savell and his wife Brenda of New Orleans; a brother, Willard Farrington of Springhill; step-granddaughter, Tina Fouget and husband Louis; two step-great-grandchildren, Kristan and Sarah; and three nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Jones, William Beene, Danny Devers, Paul Farrington and Taylor Devers.

Eddie Maupin
Funeral services for Mr. Eddie James Maupin, 69, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 23, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Minden Cemetery.
Mr. Maupin, a native of Hall County, Texas , and a resident of Minden, Passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, in Minden. Most of his career was spent in the corporate world, mainly in sales and marketing. He imported from the Orient and resided in Dallas, Washington , D.C., New York City and Chicago. Mr. Maupin semi-retired to Minden in 1985, and along with his wife, Dinah, purchased The Blossom Shop in downtown Minden.
For the past several years, he worked as a deputy for the Webster Parish Sheriff's Department. Many will remember him as the security guard with the cigar at the Minden Courthouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michie and Berene Maupin.
He is survived by his wife, Dinah David Maupin of Minden; sons, Greg Garcia of Pensacola, Fla., and Edward Maupin of Minden; daughter, Dawn Garcia of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; sister, Donna Mann and husband Milton of Clarendon, Texas ; and brother, Jerry Maupin and wife Patricia of Amarillo, Texas .
Pallbearers will be Blake Rogers, David Fox, Neil Wood, Hugh Wood, Allen McEachern and Jim McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers will be the deputies of the Webster Parish Sheriff's Department.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.

Raymond E. Howell
Funeral services for Mr. Raymond E. Howell, 75, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 21, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Tom Brown and Father Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Sarepta Cemetery.
Mr. Howell, a native of Plain Dealing and a resident of Heflin for 28 years, Passed away Sunday, Sept. 19 in Minden. He was a self-employed salesman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brooks and Ophie Howell; and his brother, Jimmy Howell.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Rae Howell; son, Raymond V. Howell; daughters, Deanna Rae Powell; stepchildren, Sherri Powell, Ronnie McNeely, and Shelli Lynn Treselen; sisters, Jean Howell Thomas and husband Leon, Sue Beckett and husband Ben, Hazel Karle and husband Richard; brother, Leon Howell; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 11 nieces and nephews; and 24 great-nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church or to Yellow Pine Church.

Willie Watkins
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Watkins, 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold with Bobby Guin Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery.
Mr. Watkins, a native of Lena and a resident of Jamestown, was born June 14, 1919. He was a World War II veteran that survived the Leyte Gulf Battle.
He is survived by his wife, Jacque Watkins of Jamestown; son, Bruce Watkins of Jamestown; daughter, Sonya Kirkham and husband Mike of Jamestown; grandsons, Tracy Kirkham of Lafayette, Jonathan Kirkham of Minden; sisters, Edna Ledoux of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Lucille Martin of Simpson; and several other relatives and friends.

Emogene Rogers Conkright
Funeral services for Mrs. Emogene Rogers Conkright, 91, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Burial will follow at Minden Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 9 p.m. today, Sept. 20, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Conkright, a native of Stamps, Ark., and a resident of Austin, Texas , Passed away Friday, Sept. 17, in Austin. She was retired from Foley's Department Store for 19 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin "Red" Conkright; and her daughter, Judith Ann Conkright.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Conkright and wife Dian of Augusta, Ga., and Bob Conkright and wife Barbara of Austin; sister, Maxine Alley and husband Tom of Minden; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Alva Null
Funeral services for Mr. Alva Andre' Null, 67, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Bailey Mortuary in Springhill with the Rev. Danny Long officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, Sept. 20, at the funeral home.
Mr. Null, a resident of Springhill, Passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, at his residence, following a long illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of this area, and was a member of Unity Methodist Church in Taylor , Ark. He was a retired detective for the Webster Parish Sheriff's Department with seven and a half years service, and was a former police officer for the Springhill Police Department for 12 years. He was the owner and operator of Null's 7/11 Store from 1971 to 1983, and was a member of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Glenda "Bootsie" Colvin Null; sons, Michael Null of Springhill, Jarrett Null of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Nathan Null and wife Toni of Anderson, Mo.; mother, Lula Mae Null of Springhill; grandchildren, Abbey Null, Danielle Matlock, and Ashley Matlock; sisters, Celia Ann Hanson, Barbara Wilks and Judy Greer, all of Sarepta; brothers, Hugh Null of Chiloquin, Ore., Charles Null of Atlanta, Texas , William Null of Cotton Valley; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Wilks, Scott Wilks, Randy Null, Jeffrey Null, Brent Hanson and Kyle Greer.

Marie Plunkett
Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Youngblood Plunkett, 63, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. David Griffin officiating. Burial followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Mrs. Plunkett, a native of Tallulah and a longtime resident of the Minden area, Passed away Friday, Sept. 17, in Arcadia. She employed at Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Mellie Youngblood; four brothers, J.C., Jim, Lloyd and Lee Boyd Youngblood.
She is survived by her husband, John Plunkett of Heflin; sons, Walter Scott Plunkett and wife Debra of Arcadia, John Wesley Plunkett and wife Dana of DeRidder; daughters, Tina White of Heflin, Janet Green and husband Mark of Arcadia; sisters, Mary Polk of Minden, Aline Shows of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, William Youngblood of Roxie, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jonathon Plunkett, Jason Plunkett, Bobby Young, Jeffrey Young; nephew, Leon Langley; and brother-in-law, David Walker.

J.C. Monzingo
Funeral services for Mr. J.C. "Cliff" Monzingo, 98, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with Dr. C.D. Miles of First Church of God in Homer, the Rev. Billy Franks of Oakmont Church of God in Shreveport, and the Rev. Bill Crider of First Baptist Church in Minden officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Homer.
Visitation will be held today, Sept. 17, from 5 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Monzingo Passed away Wednesday, Sept. 15, in Minden. He was born in Gibsland on Feb. 26, 1906. He was retired from the Webster parish School Board, where he drove a school bus and worked in the material center. He was a member of First Church of God in Homer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clotele Tinsley Monzingo; and his daughter, Carolyn Monzingo Ulmer, both of Minden.
He is survived by one son, John D. Monzingo and wife Madeline of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter, Linda Monzingo Dean and husband Larry of Homer; son-in-law, Laddie K. Ulmer of Minden; one sister, Lucille Bishop of Minden; seven grandchildren, Ashlee Bullock of Shreveport, Deveda Moore and husband Al of Shreveport, Teresa Coplen and husband Mike of Monterey, Keith Ulmer and wife Kathie of San Antonio, Texas , Melissa Caskey and husband John, Belinda Perry and husband Ronnie, and George Dean of Homer, Dick Barnes and wife Sharon of Benton, Cecile Sammons and husband Steve of Waskom, Texas , Charmaine Toney of Houston, Texas , and Madeline Borden and husband Louis of Tulsa, Okla.; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Blake, and Emily Morales, Paul Coplen, Kristie Statham and husband Michael, Bryan and Brittney Ulmer, Brooke Perry, Terra, Whitney and Bridget Caskey, Ricky Barron and wife Mechela, Emiley Henry and husband Matt, Sarah Grau and husband Martin, Lauren Foster and husband Seth, Eric Sammons, Tyrel and Hunter Toney; and great-great-grandchildren, Jake and Sophia Barron and Jacob Grau.
