Funeral services for Mrs. Shadie Ganey Robertson, 83, will be held at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Randy Hales officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. today, Jan. 25, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robertson, a resident of Minden, Passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, in Ruston. She was a retired beautician and former owner of Shadie's Beauty Shop and Robertson's Mobile Home Park in Minden. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Minden chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Robertson of Minden; parents, Leonard F. and Allie R. Ganey of Trout; and her brother, Seville Ganey, also of Trout.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Robertson Fallin and husband Alton of Ruston; grandson, Robert A. Hutchins of Ruston; granddaughter, Carole Hutchins Marquez and husband Brian of Haughton; great-granddaughter, Chelsea Erin Gilbert of Haughton; several nieces, nephews and a special friend and beloved companion, Revis "Mac" McBride.
Pallbearers will be Brian Marquez, Don McMahone, Sam Morgan, Lee Walker, Jim Cox and Benny Salter.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Minden, 71055, Fellowship Baptist Church in Trout, 71371, or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Nadia Harris
Funeral services for infant Nadia Lurese Harris "Lil Lu" will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005 Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Billy J. Hawkins officiating.
Baby Harris was born July 24, 2004, at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport to Lashunda Harris and Patrick Moore of Minden. She Passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18.
She is survived by her mother and father; two sisters of Minden, Yokyetta Harris and Tatega Lewis; one brother, Deundre Harris of Minden; maternal grandparents, LueReecie Harris of Minden, Charles Markray of Shreveport; paternal grandparents, Cora D. Love of Minden, and James Mingo of Chicago, Ill.; special granddaddy, James Howard of Ruston; maternal great-grandparents, Louise Lewis and Selma Harris of Minden; paternal great-grandparents, Catherine Moore of Minden, Catherine Thomas of Minden; her beloved great-great-grandmother, Laura B. Fuller of Minden; Gladys Martin; aunts, Raven Harris, La Shanta Love, Crystal Moore, Rachel Johnson , Vinnie Chapple, Docia Sutton, Charlene Markray, Charbrenda Markray; uncles, Brodrick Harris, Dalton Moore, Trumaine Love, Juanreikia Collins, La Charleston Markray, Donnie Markray, Eddie Markray; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles; and cousins.

Harvey Lee
Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Lee, 76, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Bill Ichter officiating and the Rev. Tom Carlton and the Rev. Ronnie Whitlock assisting. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, Jan. 21, at the funeral home.
Mr. Lee, a native of Claiborne Parish and a resident of Minden, Passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, in Minden. He was born March 25, 1928, and retired from the U.S. Postal service after 31 years of service as a letter carrier. He graduated from Harris High School and was a member of the 1947 state championship basketball team. He was on the Minden Volunteer Fire Department from 1968 until 1985. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Lee and Ethie McDow Lee; and his brother, William Joe Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Josephine Horn Lee of Minden; daughter, Lisa Griffie and husband Bobby of Minden; sons, Bruce Lee and wife Marilyn of Sibley, Alan Lee and wife Marcia of Minden, and Rickey Lee and wife Barbara of Heflin; brothers, Grady Lee and wife Elenora of Minden, Robert Wayne Lee of Houston, Texas ; sister, Genice Cage of Minden; grandchildren, Eric Lee, Greg Lee, Kolby Lee, Gretchan Lary, Jeff Lee, Kourtney Fogleman, Daniel Lee, Matthew Wilson, Billy Fish and John Fish; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Greg Lee, Jeff Lee, Kolby Lee, Daniel Lee, Matthew Wilson and John Lary. Honorary pallbearer will be SFC Eric Lee, who is serving with the 1/156th Armored Battalion, Louisiana National Guard in Baghdad.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.

Alee Rowe
Funeral services for Mrs. Alee Rowe, 68, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at New Light Baptist Church with John H. Nash officiating. Burial will follow at Newsom Cemetery under the direction of Miller-Pioneer Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Rowe was a native of Minden.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Moncrief; sons, Paul D. Edwards, Rodney N. Moncrief and wife Jamie, Keith W. Edwards and wife Margie, all of Minden, Welton A. Edwards and wife Felicia of Killeen, Texas ; five step-daughters, Beverly Winzer and husband the Rev. Charlie Winzer of Minden, Annie M. Rowe, Theressa Raby and husband Earnest of Baton Rouge, Carolyn Battley and husband Marvin Sr. of Downey, Calif., Barbara Bowie and husband Edward of Houston, Texas ; three step-sons, Jerry Davis and wife Annette, Charley Rowe of San Antonio, Texas , Willie D. Rowe Sr. of DeCator, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Shelton "Pete" Scott Jr.
Funeral services for Shelton Scott, Jr., 34, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Gibsland, with the Rev. Stephen Murphy officiating. interment will follow in the Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Patterson's Funeral Home in Arcadia.
Shelton Scott, Jr. was born Dec. 8, 1969, to Shelton Scott Sr. and Barbara Ann Scott. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005.
He is survived by his loving wife, Catrenia Scott of Minden; four children, Jordan, Chelsey, Caitlyn, and Shelton, III, all of Minden; father, Shelton Scott, Sr. and wife, Jo Ann of Gibsland; two sisters, Charlotte Renee' Scott of Arlington, Texas , and Andrea Paige Scott of Gibsland; niece, Kenndi Stewart of Arlington; mother-in-law, Delores Gandy of Minden; father-in-law, Kermit Walker and wife, Mary Ann of Springhill; grandmother-in-law, Levion Gandy of Minden; stepbrother, SPC Gabriele Ramon Sneed of Baghdad, Iraq; stepsister, Melanie Monique Sneed of Gibsland; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bernice Stanley
Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Shyne Stanley will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Phillips Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Dayton, Ohio. Burial will follow in Dayton.
Mrs. Stanley, a native of Minden and a resident of Dayton, was a graduate of Webster High School, Class of 1944.
She is survived by four children; three brothers; three sisters, of Dayton; along with three sisters of Minden, Pearlena Clark, Elva Manning and Cora B. Shyne.

Ezekiel Willis
Funeral services for Mr. Ezekiel Willis will be held at noon, Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Sibley. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Sibley under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.

Alvaina Holmes
Funeral services for Mrs. Avaina Miles Holmes will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Galilee Baptist Church in Dubberly. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery in Dubberly under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Family hour will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home.

Bernice Giesse
Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Gossett Giesse will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Graveside services will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. today, Jan. 17, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Giesse Passed away Friday, Jan. 14, at Minden Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1920, in Sylvester, Texas , to Neal Benjamin and Ester May Gardner Gossett.
She was a young lady when she answered the call to join the Navy in 1944. She served as a nurse with the WAVEs. It was during this service that she met Dick, and they married Dec. 23, 1944.
After leaving the service, Bernice began her life's work of raising a family. Although she had many outside jobs to help support her family, her main focus was always the home. Her home was always open, not only for her children, but for foster children who she cared for through the years, and later for her grandchildren. She always had cookies in the cookie jar and an extra pillow on her bed.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Clifton Gerald, Garland Avis, Chell Benjamin, Jerome Weaver, and Ima Doris; her husband of nearly 60 years, Dr. Richard J. "Dick" Giesse Sr., who Passed away six months ago.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Carnes of Euless, Texas ; children, Judy Giesse Hart of Oahu, Hawaii, Richard "Rick" Giesse Jr. of Converse; Carl K. Giesse and wife Janet of Doyline, Lisa Giesse Samuel and husband Dawson of Minden, Michelle Giesse of Shreveport; daughter-in-law, Nancy Conville Giesse of Ruston; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a foster care or adoption agency of your choice or to the Webster Parish Library.

Rebekah Holleman
Funeral services for Mrs. Rebekah Burnham Holleman, 85, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 17, 2005, at Bailey Mortuary with the Rev. Roy Dale Strother officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Holleman, a resident of Cullen since 1971, Passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, in Springhill after a short illness. She was a former resident of New Orleans; was a retired food service manager working with Morrison Food Service for 20 years and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, M.C. "Doc" and Madeline Grimes Burnham; and a granddaughter, Deborah Carson.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky St. Pierre-Bandy and husband Ronald of Bentonville, Ark.; son, James Burney and wife, Nancy of Cullen; grandchildren, Randall Burney and wife Lori, Alan Burney and wife Margaret, Monique St. Pierre and Seth St. Pierre; great-grandchildren, Tara, Tanya, Ben, Will, Luke, Carrie and Kristie; great-great-grandsons, Gage and Micah; brother, Charles Burnham and wife Dessie of Springhill; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Bandy, Troy Strother, Randy Burney, Alan Burney, Seth St. Pierre, Richard Rodgers, Tony Rodgers and Michael Rodgers.

Eugene Lunsford
Graveside services for Mrs. Eugene Perdue Lunsford, 92, will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver, Colo., date and time pending.
Mrs. Lunsford was a longtime resident of Minden. She Passed away Thursday, Jan. 13. She resided in Denver for the last five and a half years. She was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church in Minden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Lunsford; step-daughter, Nelta Rhae Park, and son-in-law, P.D. Park Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Allison Carter and husband Ray Carter of Denver; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview United Methodist Church. Acknowledgements may be sent to her daughter, Shirley Carter, 3984 So. Pinehurst Circle, Denver, CO 80235.

Dr. Ronald Prince
Funeral services for Dr. Ronald Watson Prince will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel in Tyler, Texas with Dr. Michael M. Massar and the Rev. B. C. McCoy officiating A committal service will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Park Amphitheatre, Bossier/Haughton, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Ichter and Dr. B F. Martin officiating. Services are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-7:00 PM at Lloyd James.
Dr. Prince Passed away on Saturday evening, Jan. 15, in Tyler, Texas . Dr. Prince was born Aug. 14, 1922, in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. He grew up in Boston, Mass.
He met Roberta Lewis, a student at Youngstown University in Youngstown, Ohio. They were married in 1942 and moved to Denison, Texas to pastor a church. He attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas and later graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. In 1957, he received his masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Howard Payne University awarded him the Doctor of Divinity Degree. He also received the Doctor of Humane Letters from the United Seminary of the National Baptist Convention.
He served in several pastorates in Texas and Louisiana . He served in various leadership capacities at Howard Payne University, Baptist Convention of Texas , Louisiana Baptist General Convention, Louisiana Baptist Convention. He directed two missions for the USAF War College, University Personnel and at Perrin Air Force Base. The Home Mission Board invited him to conduct crusades in Panama, the Philippines and Australia.
Dr. Prince served as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Paris from 1956-1963 and in Minden, Louisiana from 1966-1987. Upon retirement, he became a member of First Baptist Church in Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his eight year old daughter, Joye.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Roberta Prince of Tyler, son, Ronald Prince II; granddaughter, Stacey Malone and husband Mark and their children, Parker and Macey Malone all of Plano, Texas ; brother, Harry Prince of Springfield, Mo.; sister, Evelyn Eckstadt of St. Louis, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Emma Cosby
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Cosby, 95, will be held at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion CME Church with the Rev. David Thornton officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery under the direction of Miller-Pioneer Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held at the church from noon until time of services.
Mrs. Cosby was a native of Minden and a resident of Houston, Texas , and a member of Mt. Zion CME Church.

Kenneth Mitchell
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Darnell Mitchell will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at Mt. Calm Baptist Church in Minden. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Mr. Mitchell, "Nell," was born April 10, 1983, to Doris and Robert Hill, and Passed away Saturday, Jan. 8. He was a faithful member of Mt. Calm Missionary Baptist Church, where he joined Aug. 14, 1992. He graduated from Minden High School with the class of 2001. He was employed by Wal-Mart and Mt. Calm Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Lois Mitchell and Ida Mae Thomas; four aunts, Olivia Holland, Betty Brown, Jewel Jackson and Lavon Ferrell.
He is survived by his loving mother, Doris and husband Robert of Minden; father, Kenneth Jones and wife Ruby of Minden; sisters, Knykkia Mitchell of Dallas, Texas , Kendra Jones of Minden; two brothers, Robert Hill Jr. and Jafferson Marquil, both of Minden; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Helen Lee Webb
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Lee Webb will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at St. Rest Baptist Church in Minden. Burial will follow at Mt. Comfort Baptist Church Cemetery in Minden under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Web was born April 16, 1934, in Bradley, Ark., to the late Susie Mae and Willie Drew Lane. She was a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. John Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; and her son, Chester Lee.
She is survived by her five children, Roy Lee Webb, Louis O'dell Webb; Shirley Walker and husband Willie, Pamela Webb and Rosiland Lathan and husband Donald; five stepchildren, Rickey Gilbert and wife Lynette, Billy Gilbert, Dorothy Kirkerdolph and husband Robert, Debbie Gilbert and William Gilbert and wife Linda; 30 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives, friends and former customers.

Selena Faith Sparks
Funeral services for infant Selena Faith Sparks, only six months old, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at Faith Christian Center in Arcadia with the Rev. Darryal Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Simsboro Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. today, Jan. 12, at the funeral home.
Selena, born in Minden, Passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville.
She is survived by her parents, Amy and Lucas Sparks of Simsboro; paternal grandparents, Jeffrey and Cherry Sparks of Arcaida; maternal grandparents, Gary Allen of Rayville and Sheila Allen of Rayville; and sisters, Jasmine Sparks of Simsboro and Victoria Sparks of Simsboro.
