Eddie Hair
Funeral services for Mr. Eddie Dean Hair, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Bill Ichter and the Rev. Floyd Stratton officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Branch Cemetery on Spring Branch Road in Springhill, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, Feb. 22, at the funeral home.
Mr. Hair, a native of Mt. Pleasant, Texas , and a resident of Minden, Passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, in Shreveport. He was a retired truck driver. The family would like to thank Steve Luvkin at Willis-Knighton North.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Hair.
He is survived by his son, Bill M. Dougharty of Rockmart, Ga.; daughters, Bettye Lee and husband Robert of Minden, Jo Ann Campbell of Tallahassee, Fla., Gale Sobotka and husband Don of Fort Worth, Texas , and Connie Jo Chandler and husband Johnny of Princeton; one brother, Joe Hair and wife Dorothy of Gilbert; sister-in-law, Billie Hair of Springhill; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and their adoptive family, Dwight and Beth Wesson of Minden and their two children, husbands and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Navy Seabees. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the United Christian Assistance Program (UCAP).

Gusse Heron
Funeral services for Mr. Gusse LaVelle Heron, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 22, 2005, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Heron officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Church Cemetery under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold.
Mr. Heron, a native of Castor, Passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, at Ringgold Nurse Care Center. He was born July 12, 1926. He was a faithful member of the Baptist church and a 50-plus year member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Addison; two brothers, LaVaughn and Jimmye Ray; one grandson, James Cook; and step-son, Stevie Weiss.
He is survived by his mother, Lillian Page Heron; one son, Ronnie and wife Yvonne of Houston, Texas ; three daughters, Iris of Campti, Vonna of Summerfield, and Becky of Castor; their mother, Alice, also of Castor; one step-daughter, Jeannie Joyner of Castor; one brother, Gerald of Livingston, Texas ; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one uncle and a host of many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ben, J.D., Jesse, David, Dustin, Cody, Daniel and Joel.
Five of his granddaughters, Erin, April, Lindsy, Casey and Rachael, will sing.

Tracy McLemore
Graveside services for Mr. Tracy Albert McLemore, 75, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley with the Rev. Scott LaLiberte officiating and Dr. Jimmy Tharpe assisting. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, Feb. 22, at the funeral home.
Mr. McLemore, a native of Heflin and a resident of Sibley, Passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, in Sibley. He was the owner/operator of Associated Printing in Bossier City. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Sibley Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Mr. McLemore was a mason and a dean's deputy with the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Department. The family would like to thank Odessey Hospice Care, especially Suzie, Jamie, Susan, Jan and Debbie.
He is survived by his wife, Alys McLemore of Sibley; son, Tracy Leon "Buster" McLemore of Minden; daughter, Connie Brown and husband Ronnie of Bossier City; grandchildren, Renee Brown Ponder and husband Jim of Bossier City; Peyton McLemore, Molly McLemore and Leah McLemore, all of Minden; and great-grandchildren, Caroline and Benjamin Ponder, both of Bossier City.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Brown, Will Hubbard, Carl "Bubba" Tharpe, Al Bullock, David Morgan, Don Tharpe, Jack Tharpe and Peyton McLemore.

Lorene Warwick
Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Warwick, 82, were to be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 22, 2005, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Warwick, formerly of Minden, Passed away at Cartmell Home in Palestine, Texas , Sunday, Feb. 20. She was a lifelong resident of Louisiana before moving to Palestine in 2000, and was born in Shongaloo to Dewey B. and Nobie Haynes Lennard. She was a lifelong member of Southside Baptist Church, now known as North Acres Baptist Church, in Minden. Her life was filled with service to others, laughter and a love for people.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Vollie Warwick in 2000.
She is survived by her son, Steve Warwick of Minden; daughter, Sherry Keeling and husband Johnnie of Elkhart, Texas ; grandson, John B. Keeling and wife Bonita of Flint, Texas ; granddaughter, Christine Keeling of Houston, Texas ; great-granddaughter, Gabriela Keeling of Flint; and sisters, Maurice Baird of Haynesville, and Betty Patterson of Shongaloo.
Pallbearers were to be Tommy Kemp, Bruce Lee, Justin Lennard, Jason Lennard, Joe Montondo and John B. Keeling.

Cecil Alexander
Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Alexander, 82, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 21, 2005, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Johnny Adkins officiating and the Rev. Roy Southern assisting. Burial will follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly.
Mr. Alexander, a native of Fryeburg, and a resident of Bienville Parish for the past 14 years, Passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, in Shreveport. He was a retired boiler fireman with the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant. He was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, but attended Fryeburg Baptist Church for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Minden Masonic Lodge, enjoyed playing and listening to Bluegrass music. He also worked in the oilfield for many years.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Wallace Alexander; mother and father, Lola and David Alexander; infant grandson, Jeremy Todd Alexander; and four brothers, Milton, Bob, Donald and Gordon Alexander.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Alexander of Fryeburg; one son, Terry Alexander and wife Judy of Dubberly; grandson, Casey Alexander of Dubberly; two step-daughters, Rita Bates and husband Jerry of Fryeburg, and Grace Eskew and husband Mike of Fryeburg; two step-sons, Carl Rhodes of Fryeburg, Keith Rhodes and wife Anita of Sibley; one sister, Betty Martin and husband Ralph of Longview, Texas ; two brothers, Marion Alexander and wife Ella of Haughton, and Tom Alexander of Jackson ville, Fla.; eight step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Neal Frazier, Randal Wallace, Carl Rhodes, Keith Rhodes, Jerry Bates and Mike Eskew. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Bates, Brian Lindberg, Raymond Wallace, Grover Arthur, Tom Reagan and Josh Matheny.

Mary K. Hendrix
Graveside services for Miss Mary K. Hendrix, 75, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at Bistineau Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Miss Hendrix, a native of Ringgold, Passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, at Meadowview Health and Rehab.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Webb and Sally Hendrix; and two sisters, Bessie Jane Hendrix and Dorothy Evans.
She is survived by her brother, Edwin Hendrix of Independence, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

Wilfred Parker
Funeral services for Mr. Wilfred Jinning Parker, 76, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today, Feb. 21, 2005, at First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Eugene Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mr. Parker, a native of the Evergreen Community and a resident of Sibley, Passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, in Minden. He was a truck driver for a gravel company.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Parker of Sibley; son, Mickey Parker of Shreveport; daughters, Brenda Weber of Cleveland, Texas , Beverly Morgan of Sibley, and Mary Parker of Minden; sister, Marjorie Turner of Shreveport; brother, Raymond Parker of Sibley; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Jonathan Rumby
Funeral services for Mr. Jonathan Gregory Rumby, 21, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Wayne DuBose officiating and the Rev. Bill Ichter and Casey Dees assisting. Burial followed at Gilgal Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mr. Rumby, a native and resident of Minden, Passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, in Minden. Mr. Rumby was a member of First Baptist Church in Minden. He loved music and played the guitar, drums and keyboard. He also wrote several songs.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, James David Miller and cousin, David Miller McCormick.
He is survived by his mother, Rheba Savell and step-father, Sammy; father, Greg Rumby and step-mother, Sherry; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James C. Miller of Minden, Fran Puckett of Minden, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby W. Rumby of Shreveport, and Martha Savell of Minden; sisters, Genny Hasty and husband Carter of Minden, and Kadie Rumby of Minden; step-brother, Casey Dees and wife Marta of Apache, Okla.; numerous cousins; one niece; one nephew; and numerous family and friends.

Lena Sessions
Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Pearl Sessions, 78, were to be held at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 21, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Burial was to follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Mrs. Sessions, a native of Lexington, Miss., and a resident of Minden, Passed away Friday, Feb. 18, in Minden. She was an insurance agent with Jim Branch. She was one of the first women insurance agents in Minden. She was the wife of A.L. Sessions for 47 years, and was active at First Baptist Church in Minden for numerous years. Mrs. Sessions was also a volunteer at the Family Life Center and served in the dining room on most Wednesday nights. She was also a member of the Faith Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Sessions.
She is survived by her son, William Charles Sessions and wife Janet of Bossier City; two daughters, Sandra S. Martin and husband Larry of Columbia, S.C., and Terri Prothro and husband David of Minden; brother, Richard Armstrong and wife Penny of Diamond Head, Miss.; grandchildren, Kenny Martin, Amanda Martin of Columbia, Drew Sessions of Shreveport, Lauren Sessions of Ruston, Christy Adams of Minden, and Alan Adams of Minden; and great-grandchildren, McKenzie Brayboy, McCella Martin and Jade Riley of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Martin, Alan Adams, Drew Sessions, John Edward Quade, Rob Cox and Jonathan Brayboy.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Minden.

Lorene Warwick
Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Warwick will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. today, Feb. 21, at the funeral home.

Edward Youngblood
Funeral services for Mr. Edward "Zeke" Youngblood, 92, were to be held at 11:30 a.m. today, Feb. 21, 2005, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Rick May and the Rev. David McKinney officiating. Burial was to follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Mr. Youngblood, a native of Webster Parish, Passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, in Minden. He was a lifelong resident of Webster Parish and was superintendent of the Webster Parish Highway Department for 39 years. He was also a member of Gilgal Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 39 years, Doris Evans Youngblood; his second wife of 23 years, Imogene Cole Youngblood; parents, John Ed and Florence Youngblood; sister, Ina Royce Gipson; brothers, Willard and Samuel Youngblood; and his son-in-law, Maurice Contine.
He is survived by his daughters, Delores Cornett and husband Harold of Lake Charles, and Sylvia Contine of New Orleans; step-children, Jackie Ashley, Tommy Addison, Johnny Addison, Jane Cassel and Jean Allison; sisters, Mary Alice Sanders of Minden, and Marjorie Gipson of Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, "Bobbi."
Pallbearers were to be Wayne Gipson, Carlos Gipson, Barry Sanders, Sentell Gipson, Johnny Addison, Tommy Addison, Richard Temple, Norman Temple, Bill Thomas, Alvin Martin, Ray Bearden, Robert Pennington and Jim Pledger.

Harold Wayne Johnson
Funeral services for Harold Wayne Johnson , 67, will be held Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Minden, with the Rev. Wayne Dubose officiating. interment will follow at Gardens of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson Passed away Wednesday, February 16.
Mr. Johnson was born in Kingsland, Ark., March 3, 137 to Doris Helen Goggans Johnson and William Leslie Johnson . He was married in 1958 to Ruth Cummings of Delhi.
After graduating from Cotton Valley High School, he received a degree in business management from Louisiana Tech University where he was active in Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
Mr. Johnson lovingly devoted his life to his family and his church. For many years he served his church as a Sunday School teacher and deacon. He was a Gideon and had been a member of the Jaycees and Lions Club. He has also served on the Webster Parish School Board, Webster Parish Police Jury and Glenbrook School Board.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years; two daughters, Rhonda Legg and husband David, and Constance Madden and husband Doug, all of Minden; six grandchildren, Matthew, Will and Caroline Madden and Olivia, Adrienne and John David Legg; two sisters, Wanda Stinson and husband Buddy, and Joan Johnson , all of Cotton Valley; an a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Woodard, Matt Woodard, Jason Woodard, Tommy Walker, Lem Grigsby, James McKenzie, Graydon Kitchens and James Legg. Honorary pallbearers will be James Davis, Bob Johnson , Bobby Grafton, Andy Walker, Truman Walker and John Woodard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Minden of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Johnnie Brooks Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Ray Brooks Sr. will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Mayflower Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. George Rice of Growing Valley Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home.
Mr. Brooks was born to the late Mr. Oria and Carrie Dudley Brooks. He joined Growing Valley Baptist Church at an early age, under the leadership of the Rev. Jessie Dixon.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Jessie Clark Brooks; daughter, Kemitha Brooks of Minden; son, Johnnie Ray Brooks Jr. of Minden; David Clark and wife Hope, Richard Clark, Armond Clark of Minden and Tracy Clark of Florida; sisters, Alice Tyson of Minden and Ida Jackson and husband A.B. of Dallas, Texas ; brothers, Oria Brooks and wife Willie Mae of Dallas, and Rawlin Brooks of Dallas; maternal aunt, Bernice Dudley of Minden; sisters-in-law, Emma Gill and husband Johnny and Mary Williams of Minden; brothers-in-law, the Rev. Emmitt Clark and wife Patricia, Glenn Clark and James Clark and wife Mary; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Sue Dietrich
A memorial service for Mrs. Sue Sanders Dietrich, 90, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Minden with Father Wayne Carter officiating.
Mrs. Dietrich, a native of Haynesville and a resident of Minden for the past 70 years, Passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, in Shreveport. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and Women of the Church of St. John's. She was a member of the Junior Service League, Minden Book Club, Study Club and the Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Emile Dietrich.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Dietrich Rolfs and husband Emile Christian Rolfs III of Baton Rouge, Kristine Dietrich Keating of Shreveport; grandchildren, Susannah Rolfs Elliott and husband Jeffrey Johnson Elliott of Charleston, S.C., Charlotte Elizabeth Rolfs of New Orleans, Ainsley Rolfs Grigsby and husband Todd William Grigsby of Dallas, Texas , Dr. Christine Mischler Keating of New Orleans, and John Walsh Keating and wife Dana of Louisville, Co.; great-grandchildren, Samuel Johnson Elliott, Susan Claire Elliott, William Lane Grigsby, Crawford Emile Grigsby and Charlotte Ellen Keating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Webster Parish Library, St. John's Episcopal Church, or the Warren Emile Dietrich Scholarship Fund at St. John's Episcopal Church.

Para Lee Richardson
Funeral services for Para Lee Richardson, 91, will be held at noon, Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Doyline with the Rev. Richard Jefferson , Pastor, and the Rev. Rodney Williams officiating. interment will follow in the Doyline Community Cemetery under the direction of Kennon's Mortuary in Minden.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 18, at the funeral home.
Para Lee Richardson was born Aug. 12, 1913, to John Henry and Mattie Johnson Richardson. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, Feb. 13.
She is survived by two brothers, John Henry Richardson, Jr. and wife, Velma of Houston, Texas , and Willie Herman Richardson and wife, Dianne of Shreveport; special nieces and nephews, Bobbie R. Collins, Ethel Parker and husband, Billy, James Richardson and wife, Annie Ruth, Sam Richardson, Mary Lou Webb Jiles, Flavia Bryant, Johnny Mack Richardson and wife, Tonya, Russel Richardson and wife, Mary Ann, and Clara Jackson ; and a host of other relatives and friends.
