Dupre

Gerald Joseph Dupre Jr., a native of Morgan City and resident of Slidell, passed away on April 29. He was 67 years old.

He is survived by his sons, Aaron J. Dupre, Gerald J. Dupre Jr., Ralph Dupre and Edward Martina, daughters Lisa Dupre and Lana Hollis, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Odette Delane Dupre.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 4 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands, followed by burial at St. Gertrude Cemetery.

Emil

Edward Emil Jr. passed away on April 13 at Oscher Hospital. He was 77 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Avinell Barletter Faucheux Emil of New Sarpy, stepdaughters Donnell and Avinell Faucheux and Pandora F Bollingham, stepson Donald Faucheux, brothers Richard, Albert Donald and Walter Emil, sister Ruthie Rose Youngren, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers Leonard Emil II, George N.W. Terrenal and Benjamin Terrenal.

Visitation with the family was held on April 16 at Alexander Funeral Home in Norco.

Evans

Teresa Marie Evans of Luling passed away on April 10. She was 41 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Don Evans, mother Nancy Tweedy, stepfather Edward Tweedy, daughters Dawn and Donna Evans, son Paul Bega, sister Debbie Matise and grandchild Brennan Bega.

A graveside service was held on April 15 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose.

Fountain

Alise Dean “A.D.” Fountain, a retired carpenter, passed away on April 10 of emphysema. He was 73 years old.

Mr. Fountain was born in Oklahoma and lived in Destrehan for 34 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Cleovis Fountain, daughters Lahonda Schexnayder, Sharon Larkin, Brenda Parker and Gail Dillman, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on April 14 at First Baptist Church in Norco.

Gaubert

Denis Vincent Gaubert, a native of Ama and resident of Luling, passed away on April 15. He was 78 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Zeringue Gaubert, sons Lowell “Buddy” Gaubert, Theron “Moss” Gaubert, Guinn “Black” Gaubert and Roth Gaubert, daughters Duenna G. Poché, Denise G. Boyd, Leila G. Bourgeois and Jaida G. Bergeron, brother Irby Gaubert, sisters Eunice G. Roberts, Ethel G. Keller and Leah Rae G. Cantrelle, 17 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Leah Zeringue Gaubert, brothers Lawrence, Norman, Emerson and Clifford Gaubert, sister Agnes G. Adams and one grandson.

A U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, Mr. Gaubert was a retired foreman for Shell Oil.

A service was held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville on April 19.

Haynes

Marguerite “Daisy” Walker Haynes, a retired employee of St. Charles Pharmacy in Norco, passed away on April 20 of pneumonia at Northshore Regional Medical Center in Slidell. She was 84 years old.

Haynes was born in 1919 and lived in Norco for the past 80 years. Wife of the late Easil E. Haynes, mother of John E. Haynes and Thomas J. Haynes Sr. of Slidell, sister of Georgette Chauvin and a brother, Rudolph “Bud” Walker. She is also survived by three grandsons and one great-grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alice Walker, brother Howard Walker Sr. and sisters Edna Anderson, Gertrude Brannon, Marie Simecek and Cecilia Kracen.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on April 23 at Sacred Heart Church in Norco, followed by interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses.

Jones

Ruby Mace Jones, formerly of El Dorado, Ark., passed away on April 7 at her home in Luling. She was 81 years old.

Born on April 26, 1922, in Crossett, Ark., she was the daughter of William E. and Sarah P. Mize Mace, a member of the Parkview Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxilliary of the VFW.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allison V. Jones, brother William Ed Mace and sister Loraine Jarmon. She is survived by her son, Buddy Jones and his wife Pat of Watauga, Texas, daughter Susan J. Weems and her husband Buddy, of Luling, grandchildren Gary Jones of Wilson, N.C.; Dawn Lawrence and husband Mike of Washington Terrace, Utah; Natasha Gilbery and husband M.C. of Fort Meade, Md.; Jeff Weems and Jody Weems of Luling; great-grandchildren Tim Jones, Michael Lawrence, Taylor Gilbert, John Gilbert, Hope Gilbert and Phoebe Weems, sister Vivian McIlveene of Chattanooga, Tenn., sister-in-law Mary Frances Mace of Caledonia, Ark. and many other nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

A Funeral was held on April 10 at Parkview Baptist Church in El Dorado, Ark.

Landry

Michael David Landry of Lafourche Parish passed away on April 22. He was 39 years old. He is survived by his mother, Doris Rizzuto of Harahan, daughters Brittany Nicole Landry and Brandy Ann Landry of Destrehan, brother Richard James Landry of Atlanta, Ga. and sister Sheryl Landry Karger of Luling. He is preceded in death by his father, Louis W. Landry Sr., and brother Louis W. Landry Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on April 26 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan.

Ordoyne

Louise Mary Bergeron Ordoyne, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Cut Off, passed away on April 29. She was 89 years old.

She is survived by her companion, O’Neil Triche, sons Jimmy, Gilbert and Tony Ordoyne, daughters Rose LeBlanc, Geraldine Creppel and Virgie LeBouef, brother Eli Bergeron, sisters Lucille Shutter and Rita Morvan, 23 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ordoyne, companion Percy Farve, parents Camille Bergeron Sr. and Selvina Guillot Bergeron, brothers Henry Bergeron and Camille Bergeron Jr., sister Elizabeth Bonner and one great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands on May 1, followed by burial at Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche.

Plaisance

Irma Cologne Plaisance, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Raceland, passed away on April 2. She was 77 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Edison P. Plaisance, sons James A. “Tony” Plaisance and his wife Jill and Holden J. Plaisance and his wife Vera Lee, daughters Gwen P. Taylor and her husband John and Joy P. Carson and her husband Timmy, brother Clifton “Dago” Cologne and his wife Genevieve, sister Shirly Bergeron and husband Kerner, 11 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest “Boone” Cologne and Lavinia Loupe Cologne, and her sister Virgie Bergeron. She was a parishoner at St. Hilary of Poitier Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on March 5 at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Raceland, followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery.

Tregre

Rita “Faye” Tregre, a native and resident of Norco, passed away on April 18 at Cannon Hospice. She was 81 years old.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Tregre, she is survived by her daughters, Carol T. Bean, Janet T. Beber, Margaret T. (Phil) Chauvin and Joy Tregre, sisters Florette Ribby and Laura Grace “Bea” Smith, grandchildren Monique Garcia, Carolyn McArthur, Michelle Crippen, Lisa Gilcrease, Angell, Jan and Kristen Chauvin and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eno and Grave Landry, daughters Yohanna and Crystal Tregre and granddaughter Marilyn Snyder.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on April 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Autin

Sunny June Autin of New Orleans, and former resident of Luling, passed away on May 31 at 11 p.m. She was 26.

Miss Autin is survived by her parents, Melani D. Autin of New Orleans and Mervin P. Autin Sr. of Luling, brothers and sisters-in-law Vince Autin Sr. and Cindy of Des Allemands, Mervin Autin Jr. and Velvet of Paradis, sister Lisa Ann Taravella of Paradis and grandparents Marfa Alexander and Eugene Kwiatkowski.

She is also survived by nieces Lacey and Abbey Autin and Alyssa Taravella; nephews Vince Autin Jr. and Kerry Taravella Jr. and great nephew Logan Michael Autin.

Miss Autin was preceded in death by her grandfather Claude A. Autin.

Private services were held on June 7.

Boudreaux

Malvin J. Boudreaux Sr. of Paradis passed away on May 7. He was 63 years old. He was beloved husband of Marian Parks Boudreaux, father of Barry, Garry, Malvin Jr., Don Paul, Shane Sr., Bambi Harrell and Dana Folse; father-in-law to Lea, Stephanie, Carla, Cindy, Tanya, Mark Harrell and Bert Naquin, grandfather of Tiffany, Barry Jr., Chad, Don Jr., Michelle, Celeste, Nicole, Lauren, Scarlet, Dustin, Kevin, Tim, Shane Jr., Jordan, Joey, Taylor, Maci and Ashley; step-grandfather of Mark Allen, Felicia, Brian, Jessica and Sadie; great-grandfather of Jason Paul; brother of Myra Trahan, Sarah Bumgarden and Kerry Bernard and brother-in-law of Melvin and Beverly Parks, Lucien DiMarco, Randy Bernard, John Bumgarden and the late Bobby Trahan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Clara, brother Clarence Jr. and sister Beverly DiMarco.

A funeral mass was held on May 11 at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Marrero, followed by interment in Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche.

Ferraro

Keith Anthony Ferraro, a native and resident of Green Acres, died on May 23. He was 29 years old.

Mr. Ferarro is survived by his wife, Jody Gros Ferarro, parents Luther R. Comardelle Sr. and Bonnie F. Comardelle, son Brandon Gros, grandmother Dorothy Ferraro, grandfather Lester Comardelle and brother Luther R. Comardelle Jr. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Ignazio Ferraro and grandmother Nellie Comardelle.

Services were held on May 25 at Falgout Funeral Homes in Raceland, followed by burial at Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche.

Hymel

Norma J. Hymel, a native and resident of Luling, passed away on May 14. She was 94 years old.

She is survived by her sons, Donald J. Hymel and Raymond B. Hymel, sister Anita Zeringue, fie grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanislaus Hymel Sr. and Matilda Webre Hymel, brother Stanislaus Hymel Jr. and sisters Lelia St. Pierre, Margorie St. Pierre and Florence Favaron.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 17 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling.

Keller

Gladys Knowles Keller, a native of Algiers and resident of Norco, died on May 18 at River Parish Hospital. She was 100 years old.

Mrs. Keller was wife of the late Noe Keller, mother of Margaret Keller Hotard and the late Robert Keller, grandmother of Sally Hotard Brewster and husband Eric, Catherine Bender and husband Scott, Nancy Hotard and fiance Tor Fuglem, great-grandmother of Hayden and Heidi Brewster, daughter of the late Ella Gersdorf and William Knowles, sister of the late Gus Knowles, Lillian Peres, Daniel Knowles and Louis Knowles. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Altar Society and the Shell Retirees Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 22 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, followed by intombment at Lakelawn Mausoleum.

Morehead

Stella S. Morehead, a native of Destrehan and resident of Jonesboro, Ga., passed away on May 23. She was 87 years old.

Mrs. Morehead taught CCD at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for 20 years and was a member of the church for 82 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Andre Schexnaydre and Marie Trosclair Schexnaydre, husband J.C. Morehead, sisters Marie Reine, Iga Schexnaydre, Edna Schexnaydre and Angele Schexnaydre and brothers Nicholas, Willie, Benoit and Emenien Schexnaydre. She is survived by her son, Glen P. Morehead of Jonesboro, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home on May 25 and 26. Funeral services were held on May 26 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 135-B Bradford Square, Fayetteville, GA, 30215.

Parks

Irene Cavalier Parks, a native of Brusly St. Martin and resident of Paradis, passed away on May 2. She was 81 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Venis Parks; daughters Kathleen Parks Kinler and her husband Joseph and Greta Parks Valliant and her husband James “Gerry”; brothers Thomas Cavalier and wife Georgianna; and grandchildren Janina and Bart Kinler and Jamsie and Lacey Valliant. She is preceded in death by her parents, Godfrey and Eloide Landry Cavalier.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 5 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis, followed by burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.

Zeller

Harry Paul Zeller, Sr., a native of Des Allemands and resident of Luling, passed away on May 6. He was 80 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Agnes Brady Zeller, sons Harry Paul Zeller Jr. and Anthony Joseph Zeller Sr., daughter Anne Z. Thomassie, sister Anita Z. Tregle, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Nora LeBlanc Zeller, brothers Jules A. Zeller and George A. Zeller, Sr. and sisters Rita Waterman and Mary Lee Robert.

Mr. Zeller was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2409, the V.F.D. and the American Legion. He was a retired employee of Monsanto Chemical Company with 31 years of service.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Luling. In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations be made to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, 3501 North Causeway Boulevard, Suite 940, Metairie, La., 70002.
