Lucille Duhon

LAFAYETTE - Services for Lucille D. Duhon, 86, will begin at 2 p.m. today with a Mass of Christian burial at the Martin & Castille Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cedric Sonnier officiating. interment will be in the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation was from 5 p.m. Friday until time of services today, with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday at the funeral home chapel.

A native of Vermilion Parish and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Duhon died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 1997, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Duhon is survived by two sons, Jim Duhon and Lynn Duhon, both of Maurice; four sisters, Neuvee Vincent, Alga Landry, Audrey Mae Villien and Jane Broussard, all of Maurice; three brothers, Paul Duhon of Maurice, Carrol Duhon of Port Acres, Texas and Clarence Duhon of Groves, Texas , and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Duhon was preceded in death by her parents, Ode and Anna Baudoin Duhon; her husband, Clovis Duhon and one grandson, Yancy Duhon.

Pallbearers will be James Patrick Duhon, Bo Broussard, Derek Touchet, Kyle Duhon, Clint Savoy and Brian Baumgardner.

Memorials may be made to the Lafayette Council on Aging, 160 Industrial Parkway, Lafayette, La 70508, or to the Vermilion Council on Aging, P.O. Box 543, Abbeville, La 70510.

Erma Delaune

Services for Mrs. Lester Delaune, 91, the former Erma Halpin, will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. William Rogalla officiating. interment will be in the Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. rosary at the David Funeral Home of New Iberia, which will reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday until time of services.

A native of Arkansas and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Delaune died at 2:45 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997, at her home.

She was a housewife.

Mrs. Delaune is survived by one son, Robert Johnson of New Iberia; a daughter, Marye Delaune Partin of San Diego; a sister, Gladys Harris of Indiana; eight grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Delaune was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Delaune; her father, Frank Halpin; her mother, Bertha Gebhart Halpin Young; a son, Paul Johnson , and a brother, John R. Halpin.

Pallbearers will be family members.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements

Yolande Dugas

ERATH - Services for Mrs. Dudley Dugas, 83, the former Yolande Boudreaux, will begin at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Langlois officiating. interment will be in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Delcambre.

Visitation was from 3:30-10 p.m. Friday, with a 5 and 7 p.m. rosary at the Broussard Funeral Home Chapel, which will reopen at 8 a.m. today.

Mrs. Dugas died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997, at the West Jefferson Hospital in Marrero.

The Broussard Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.

Jack Tilbury

Services for Jack Vernon Tilbury, 78, will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Monsignor Guy Lemoine officiating. interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Loreauville with military graveside rites conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at the David Funeral Home of New Iberia, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday until time of services.

A native of Detroit and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Tilbury died at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, 1997, at Dauterive Hospital.

A World War II veteran, Mr. Tilbury was a compressor operator for Texaco for 38 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1982.

Mr. Tilbury is survived by his wife, Lydia "Tiny" Amy Tilbury of New Iberia; one son, John Tilbury of New Iberia; two brothers, Joe Tilbury of Monaville, Texas , and Richard "Dick" Tilbury of Corpus Christi, Texas ; one sister, Pat Pillows of Caldwell, Texas ; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Margaret Hunt Tilbury; a daughter, Diane T. Conner; three brothers, Bill Tilbury, Jerry Tilbury and Robert Tilbury, and a sister, Mary Malone.

Pallbearers will be Edward Tilbury, Harold Hulin, Frank Romero, Eddie Sorrell, Chad Tilbury and Scott Tilbury.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Tilbury and Travis Tilbury.

The David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.

Sue R. Hensley

ANGLETON, Texas - Services for Sue Rodriguez Hensley, 56, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, at the First Baptist Church of Angleton with the Dr. Rodney Bowman officiating.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Angleton, Mrs. Hensley died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

She graduated in 1964 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She taught nursing in Baton Rouge before moving to Texas with her husband, Richard, a chemical engineer.

Her nursing career included work at Community Hospital of Brazosport, Angleton Danbury Convalescent Center, Cypress Woods Care Center and the Angleton Independent School District, where she had been employed since 1987. At the time of her death, she was the nurse for Angleton High School.

A former Angleton city councilwoman, Sue was hostess for "Angleton Answers," a current events program sponsored by Crown Cable TV and the First Baptist Church of Angleton, where she was a member.

Mrs. Hensley is survived by her husband, Richard Allen Hensley of Angleton; her mother, Myrtis Rodriguez Young and her stepfather, Ernest Young , both of Shongaloo; one son, Roy Hensley of Carrollton; and two daughters, Elizabeth Hensley Joy of Arlington and Maria Patience Rose of Denton.

She was preceded in death by her father Major Dolzey Joseph Rodriguez.

Pallbearers were Nicholas Allen, Andres Calderon, James R. "Bubba" Finley, John Fuchs, James Schneider and Buddy Simmons.

Honorary pallbearers were James Blackstock, M.L. "Hank" Fulbright, Waverly Jefferson Jr., Clyde Neal Sr., Buddy Scott and Dr. Herman Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the Sue Hensley Memorial Scholarship Fund established by the Angleton Independent School District, 1900 N. Downing Road, Angleton, Texas , 77515. The money will fund a scholarship for a high school senior majoring in nursing.

The Cristo Rey Funeral Home of Pasadena was in charge of arrangements.

B. Margot Delahoussaye

ST. MARTINVILLE - Services for B. Margot Delahoussaye, 67, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the St. Michael Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. rosary at Pellerin Funeral Home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Delahoussaye died Monday, March 23, 1998, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and various art organizations in Acadiana.

Mrs. Delahoussaye is survived by two sons, Bert Delahoussaye of New Iberia and Paul Delahoussaye of Cankton; three daughters, Ann D. Akers of Catahoula, Denna M. Lanerie and Julie D. Fuselier, both of St. Martinville; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Delahoussaye; and one sister, Rae Jones.

The Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.

Nelson P. Trahan Sr.

ERATH - Services for Nelson Paul Trahan Sr., 59, will begin at 3 p.m today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at David and Broussard Funeral Home until the time of services.

A native of Vermilion parish and resident of Erath, Mr. Trahan died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 1998, at Lafayette General Hospital.

The David and Broussard Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.

Arthur Benoit Jr.

LYDIA - Services for Arthur "Popeye, Sugarbear" Benoit Jr., 49, will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with the Rev. Emmanuel Fernandez officiating. interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-10 p.m. today with a 6:30 p.m. rosary at the church, which will reopen at 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.

A native of Lafayette and resident of Grand Marais for 14 years, Mr. Benoit died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, March 22, 1998, at Iberia Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was a member of the St. Nicholas Holy Name Society and a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Mr. Benoit is survived by his wife, Lovenia "Sis" Olivier Benoit of Grand Marais; his parents, Arthur Benoit Sr. and Elizabeth Benoit of Lafayette; two sons, Jamal Benoit and Jarred Benoit, both of Grand Marais; one brother, Austin Benoit of Scott; four sisters, Ora Cormier of Scott, Jeanette Singal and Diane Robertson, both of Duson and Marcella Robertson of Carencro.

Pallbearers will be Austin Benoit, Paul I. Olivier, James Olivier, Clifton McZeal, Emar Singal and Joseph Robertson.

The Journet and Bolden Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
