John J. Johnsen, 77, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 in Clearwater, Fla. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Our Lady of the Isle Roman Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, followed immediately by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Mark Ueland, 74, of Philadelphia, Pa. and a longtime summer visitor, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at home. Services have already been held.
Georgina Charlene Mackie, 44, of Waldo, Fla. and formerly of Nantucket, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009. Memorial services were held Oct. 17 in Waldo.
Walter P. Lukens, 85, of Alexandria, Va. and Nantucket, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 at the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Alexandria. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Fort Myer (Va.) Chapel, followed by burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
Jane C. Mullen, 90, of Holland, Pa. and Nantucket, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Newtown, followed by interment at St. John Neumann cemetery in Chalfont, Pa.
Sean M. Marcaurelle, 37, of Nantucket, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009. Services were held Oct. 10 in South Yarmouth, Mass.
John F. Keating, 83, of Nantucket, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 at Our Island Home. A graveside service was held Monday, Oct. 5 at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Wilhelmina (Robinson) Shaw, 93, a native of Nantucket and summer resident for over 60 years, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 in Middletown, R.I.
Henry “Hank” N. Wazan, 79, of Norfolk, Mass. and Nantucket, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 at the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham, Mass. Services were held Saturday, Oct. 3, followed by burial in Norfolk Cemetery.
Margaret Anne Lindquist, 82, of San Diego, Calif. and Nantucket native, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2009 at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. Services have already been held.
Sarah Halsey Hazard, 80, of Bedford, N.Y. and Nantucket, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at home in Bedford. A service was held Oct. 3 in Bedford.
Gerald Dean “Jerry” Mainhart, 83, of Walstonburg, N.C. and formerly of Nantucket, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2009 at home in Walstonburg. Services were held Oct. 1 in Snow Hill, N.C., followed by burial at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans cemetery in Jacksonville, N.C.
Isabelle Hollister Tuttle DeWitt, 82, of New Haven, Conn. and Nantucket, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at home in New Haven. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Trinity Church on the Green in New Haven. A reception will follow at the Parish House of nearby Christ Church.
Herton Ray Hallett Jr., 84, of South Yarmouth, Mass. died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009. A funeral service was held Oct. 2 in South Yarmouth, followed by private burial.
Robert Leo “Bob” Keenan, 81, of Nantucket, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at Our Island Home. A celebration of his life will be held in March 2010.
Thomas Whitall "Tom" Martin, 55, of Concord, Mass. and Nantucket, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009 on Nantucket. A memorial celebration was held in Littleton, Mass. Sept. 26.
John Foster Place, 88, of Rye, N.Y. and a frequent summer visitor to Nantucket, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Conn. A funeral service was held in Rye, N.Y. Sept. 25.
Lee Higbie Van Ness, 82, of Nantucket, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2009 in Boston.
Ted Brown, 88, of Sarasota, Fla. and formerly of Nantucket, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2009. A memorial service will be held March 10, 2010 at St. Andrew’s Church in Boca Grande.
Tammy Richard, 39, of Nantucket, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at Nantucket Cottage Hospital after a five-year battle with ovarian cancer. A celebration of her life was held Sept. 26 on Nantucket.
Linden Harris White Jr. 93, of Parkville, Md. and a long-time summer resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 in Parkville. A private family service will be held on Nantucket later in the fall.
Catherine Marie Wilson, 46, of Plainsboro, N.J. and formerly of Nantucket and Madison, Conn., died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009. A funeral service was held Sept. 3 in Madison, followed by private nterment at West cemetery in Madison.
Janet Ann Baxter Siegner, 86, of Naples, Fla. and Nantucket, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009 in Naples. A memorial service was held Sept. 5 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Nantucket.
Amy K. MacDonald, 46, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 in Colorado Springs. A celebration of her life was held Aug. 26 in Colorado Springs. Interment was Aug. 29 at Saint Mary’s cemetery on Nantucket.
Marianne “Nan” Collette, 63, of Nantucket, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009. She was cremated and a celebration of her life held Aug. 29 at the Sconset Chapel.

Paul G. Crommelin Jr., 86, of Willow Street, Pa. and a long-time summer resident of Nantucket, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. A celebration of his life was held July 18 in Lancaster, Pa. Burial was private.
Gary Michael DaSilva, 52, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Mashpee Care and Rehabilitation Center. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Our Lady of the Isle on Nantucket July 16, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery.
