Jessica Lynne Peterson
Jessica Lynne Peterson was born on April 12, 1994, the loving daughter of Eric and Betsy Peterson. She died unexpectedly on Sunday March 14, 2009, as a result of an accident.
Jessie was a beautiful happy ninth grader at Harvard’s Bromfield High School. She loved, sports, art, theater, politics, and her friends. She was a member of the Field Hockey Team, Girl’s Lacrosse Team, and Indoor Track Team.
Jessie was known for scoring numerous goals during the Field Hockey season. She was asked as an 8th grader to play on the Varsity team for several games last season. During her first Varsity game she scored two goals. A proud dad was looking for a bragging story only to be told by a humble Jessie “I was just in the right place at the right time.” Field Hockey was her passion, she loved the game and her team.
Jessie was also very artistic, always creating art for her room and doodling wildly intricate designs on her arms, and worked with many other crafts. A couple of years ago she won a contest to design the logo for the Harvard Lion’s Club Fall Festival, which is still used today.
She is remembered by all for her infectious smile and laugh, and happiness. She had the ability to light up a room with her presence.
She leaves behind her loving family: parents, Eric and Betsy Peterson; brother, Beck; Grandparents, Jim and Barbara Schautz and Wayne and Marie Peterson, all of Norwell; Great grandmother, Louise Sheehan of Hanover; and Aunt Ingrid and Uncle Will Dehler, and their two children of Connecticut.

Stanley Michael Cantino
“Mr. Boots”
Littleton – Sometimes you see a man so vigorous and full of life you think that death will never be able to catch him. Then you find he moved too quickly, coming to his end much too soon. That describes our “Mr. Boots.”
As we delivered the sad news, many kind words were used to show who Bootsie was and what he meant to those who knew him. He was known to most as a great guy, someone with a great sense of humor who liked to have a good time. He was considered unique, appearing hard on the outside while being soft on the inside, truly one of a kind. But what was surprising, was the number of people who commented that he had helped so many people, always willing to lend a hand and go out of his way, doing what he could to help.
Stanley Michael Cantino, known to most as Bootsie, was born June 25, 1943 in Ayer, Massachusetts, the son of the late Stephen Cantino and the late Mary Karpeichik Cantino. Bootsie left us suddenly and unexpectedly on April 19, 2009. He is survived by his sister Joyce and her boyfriend Neil, nieces/goddaughters Lynne and Jenna, nephew Stephen and his fiancée Allison, great-nephew Christopher, great-niece Ashley, sister-in-law Jeanne, an aunt, uncles and many special friends, too numerous to list. He was also predeceased by his brother and best friend Frank S. “Bud” Cantino in April of 1992.
Bootsie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and racing at the Finish Line Racing School in Daytona Beach. He had a passion for nice cars and motorcycles, always adding his personal touch to everything he owned. He was a lifelong Littleton resident, attended Littleton schools and was a successful excavating contractor for forty-five years. Bootsie was a member of the NRA and Ty-Rods. He was happiest when he was on-the-go, spending little time idle and had a great fondness for animals, always enjoying their company, playfulness and carefree attitudes.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass in celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Anne’s Church, 75 King Street, Littleton with burial immediately after at Westlawn cemetery in Littleton. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to Jeanne’s home for a reception honoring Bootsie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Littleton Historical Society, the Second Chance Fund for Animal Welfare, Inc. (PO Box 118, Bolton, Ma 01740) or another animal charity of your choice.
Arrangements provided by Badger Funeral Home.

Melburn C. Zwicker, Jr. (Rick)
Melburn C. Zwicker, Jr. (Rick), 60 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 21st, 2009, at his home in Nashua, NH.
He was born in Stoneham, MA, February 12, 1949 son of Lucille R. (Levasseur) Zwicker and the late Melburn C. Zwicker, Sr. He graduated from Groton High School in 1968.
Rick held several jobs in his lifetime, but perhaps the most significant would be working with his dad at Townsend Ford in Townsend, MA, where his passion for the power of the automobile was conceived. To this day, there was not an automobile or its’ mechanics that Rick could not conquer. His most recent accomplishment was that of becoming a crew member and mechanic for the Anderson-Hill Racing #25 Pro 4 Modified of NE race team. His knowledge and expertise was immediately welcomed by the family team, Sonny, David and Tyler Anderson, Norm Hill, Larry Jones and Scott Tyler. Their love for Rick as a person and his passion for the sport became a major factor in helping the team reach new levels of success. They most recently reached a podium finish in 3rd place, their best finish ever! Please feel free to visit their website @ www.pro4mods.com. Rick also just returned from an ISMA tour race in Ohio where he was also a crew member for the #5 car, which he was responsible for rebuilding, for Vern Romanoski’s Super Modified Cars.
The Zwicker family would like to personally express their gratitude to the Andersons, Rick’s extended family, for opening their home and their lives to Rick and providing him with the opportunity to live his dream this past year. Cis, David & Michelle, Sonny & Terri, Tyler & Amanda, Travis, Ian, Isaac, Kirsten, Aaron, Jason, Norm Hill, Larry Jones and Scotty Tyler, we are forever grateful to you all.
As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, the “weekend in the country” at Yasgur’s farm, Bethel, NY in August of 1969, an event that Rick would partake in, we can’t help but realize that Rick lived his life as they all did that weekend. Being a hippie, having a social conscience, being free of materialism, peaceful and liberating. That festival set the standard for peace, music, people and expression and showed to the world that all was not just violence and hatred…it was life! It was an era that has no equal, as is Rick. As Rick would so often say, “If we all share what we’ve got with the people around us, there’s plenty for everyone.” “Peace.” May we all keep Rick in our hearts and our memories.
Rick is survived by his devoted mother, Lucille Zwicker, of Nashua, NH; his loving brothers and sister, Michael Zwicker, of Townsend; David Zwicker, of Nashua, NH and Lucianne Fitzpatrick, of Townsend; his sisters-in-law, Terri Zwicker and Debra Schultz; his brother-in-law, Mark Fitzpatrick; his nieces and nephews: Shawn, Alicia, Zachary, Nicholas, Katie, Jennie and Tom; his great-nieces: Cassidy, Halle, Kalyn and Madison and his closest friends whom he loved as family.
In honor of Rick’s wishes, a private service will be held for the family. Services provided by Badger Funeral Home, Groton, MA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rick’s honor may be made to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua.
