McGee, Maryellen M. -- Maryellen M. McGee, 58, died late Saturday evening, surrounded by friends and family, in her home following a brief challenge with cancer. Maryellen was a resident of Topsfield for the last 36 years. She is survived by her two loving daughters Molli and Kati, her friend and caregiver, Jenna Nevins of Topsfield, and many friends and cousins located around the world.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware on August 5, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Molly (Caffery) McGee. She was raised and educated in Delaware. She was a 1969 graduate of East Stroudsburg State College in PA and earned her Masters Degree in Education from Boston University, where she completed doctoral work.
Maryellen was employed as a Professor at Salem State College. During her 36 - year tenure, she was the Coordinator of Leisure Studies, Director of Intramurals and Advisor to the Women's Recreation Association. For ten years she coached the women's field hockey team and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. She initiated the Walt Disney World College Internship Program at SSC.
Maryellen was the co-founder of Families with Adopted Children from China. She was active in many volunteer organizations, including H.A.W.C., the American Red Cross, Strongest Link AIDS Services, and Campfire Girls. In Topsfield she helped to reestablish the Holiday Walk.
She enjoyed a lifetime of summers in Sea Isle City, NJ; loved Disney World, traveling, and recently made a special trip to China with her children.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Dec 9th, at 10AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, Park St., Topsfield. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923. Maryellen requests that friends bring a perennial to her home this spring and plant it in her garden. As a keepsake for her children, Molli and Kati, she invites friends to record and send a cassette tape with memories and stories that serve as a reminder of how Maryellen's life impacted them.

CHRISTIANE (Fievez) MEERS, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Jacques Meers.
Born in Belgium on March 18, 1925, she moved to the United States with her family in 1962. Mrs. Meers volunteered at the Danvers Town Hall and was a resident of Danvers for the past 43 years. She enjoyed boating and traveling with her husband and loved to bird watch.
Mrs. Meers was a devoted mother to her daughter Liliane Meers and her companion Timothy Beede of Merrimac.
Her Funeral service will be held graveside at 11:00am on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Sylvan St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Christiane's name to the Danvers Senior Center, 25 Stone St., Danvers MA 01923. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.

Patterson, Beatrice M. -- Beatrice M. (Crateau) Patterson, 84, of Danvers, died Tuesday evening, November 29, 2005 at a local nursing facility following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Ralph O. Patterson, with whom she shared over sixty years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on May 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Louis and M. Louise (Castonguay) Crateau. She was raised in Danvers and was educated in Danvers schools. A Danvers resident for more than sixty years, she lived in Salisbury for several years before becoming ill.
Mrs. Patterson was an accomplished homemaker and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also loved playing board games with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Waddell of Danvers, six grandchildren: Pamela, Kimberly, George, Patricia, Patrick, and Jackie, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, a sister, Evelyn Trod of Newbury, and an especially devoted brother, Louis Crateau of Danvers. She was the mother of the late Linda Martin.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at 10:00AM in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 4:00-8:00PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. KOUSKY, VERNON G. -- Vernon G. Kousky, 88, died Sunday evening at Beverly Hospital. He was the husband of the late June (Smith) Kousky.
Born in Syracuse, NY on Nov. 11, 1917, he was the son of the late Edgar and Florence Kousky. Mr. Kousky was raised and educated in Syracuse and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Syracuse, NY. He moved to Boxford in 1957 and has resided there for the past 48 years.
Mr. Kousky was employed as a chemical engineer by Crystal Systems of Salem for many years. Mr. Kousky volunteered for the Topsfield Fair for over 40 years and was Co-Chairperson of the committee for the Vegetable Barn. He loved gardening and rock hounding and faceted many gems out of rocks he found. Mr. Kousky also enjoyed birding and along with his wife were members of the Mass Audubon Society. He was a true lover of the great outdoors.
Mr. Kousky is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Vernon E. Kousky and Viviane Silva of Waldorf, MD, David and Mildred Kousky of Corinth, ME and Thomas Kousky of Venus, FL; six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thurs. at 10:00AM in the St. Rose of Lima Church, Park St, Topsfield. Burial will follow in the Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. Hrs. are Wed. from 4:00pm-7:00PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mr. Kousky's name to the Mass Audubon Society, Attn: Development Office, 208 South Great RD, Lincoln MA 01773 or The Nature Conservancy, Attn: Treasury, 4245 North Fairfax DR, Suite 100 Arlington, VA 22203.

McNichol, Albert -- Albert McNichol, 65, formerly of Danvers, died Sunday at Exeter Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Salem on Nov. 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Ralph and Saphrona (Pension) McNichol. He was raised and educated in Danvers and a member of the Holten High School Class of 1959. In recent years he had resided in Seabrook.
Mr. McNichol was employed as a truck driver for several companies, including Donald Innis Inc. and most recently Bentley Warren Trucking of Ipswich.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Jonathan and Marcie Brasier of CO and Mark and Kimberly Brasier of Haverhill; four grandchildren: Caitlyn, Madison, and Hannah Brasier of Haverhill, and Sean Brasier of CO; and seven brothers and sisters: Joseph, Charles, Robert, Leo, and John McNichol, Fronie Ann Thompson, and Martha Barrowclough; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul and Stephen McNichol.
His funeral service will be Thursday at 7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Visiting hours will precede the service from 4-7PM. Relatives and friends are invited.

PLAS, RAYMOND-- 76, passed away on Nov. 21, 2005, at the Lahey Clinic after a brief illness. Raymond Plas was born April 28, 1929, in Belgium. He brought his family to the United States in October of 1963, and robustly believed that learning the language and becoming a citizen of the United States was the pinnacle of success. He became a United States Citizen on February 14, 1969 accomplishing a lifelong dream. Mr. Plas was a firm believer and succeeded in learning the language of his new country, and never wavered from articulating Patriotism for his new native soil. His belief was what had inspired his son to become an Honorable United States Marine. Raymond Plas attended the Institute for Technical Engineering and specialized in integrated circuitry. He then worked and retired from Honeywell Corporation in Waltham with the esteem and respect from his colleagues. In addition to his profession, he faithfully volunteered at the Food Pantry in Hamilton for over 10 years, helping to relieve the suffering of the less fortunate. Mr. Plas was also an Eucharistic Minister of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers, where his beliefs were unparalleled.
Raymond Plas is survived by his wife Colette with whom he shared 45 years of marriage; his son, Phil; his granddaughter Nicole; his brother Jean Plas and family still living in Belgium as well as many nieces and nephews living in Europe.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Fri. Nov. 25, 2005 at 9:00AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers

DONOVAN, AUDREY B. -- Audrey B. (Higgins) Donovan, 80, died Monday morning, November 21, 2005 in her home following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Daniel J. Donovan, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in Cambridge on May 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Doris (Smith) Higgins. She was raised and educated in Boston and Wakefield and was a 1941 graduate of the former St. John the Evangelist High School in North Cambridge. She went on to graduate from the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She resided in Middleton for many years where she raised her family and had been a resident of Danvers since 1971.
Mrs. Donovan worked until her recent illness as a legal assistant in the family law firm of Donovan and Donovan. She was also a licensed real estate broker.
She was a member and past secretary of the Friends of the Hunt Center and a past member of St. Agnes Church Sodality. An accomplished swimmer and extensive traveler, she enjoyed more than forty years summering in Rockport.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her children: Brian Donovan and his wife Debra of Wakefield and Marsha Donovan of Danvers; two grandchildren: Philip and John Donovan of Middleton; and many dear friends. She was the sister of the late John Higgins.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Donations in Audrey's memory may be made to Partners Home Care VNA, 800 Cummings Center, Suite 166S, Beverly, MA 01915.

DOOLING, C. FREDERICK -- C. Frederick "Freddy" Dooling Jr., 60, died early Friday morning at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Beverly on October 8, 1945, he was the son of Mary E. (Tierney) Dooling and the late C. Frederick Dooling. He resided in Peabody for many years before moving to Danvers where he had resided for over forty years.
Freddy loved life and being with people. For several years, he attended Catherine's Adult Day Health Care in Salem. He enjoyed music and traveling, and especially enjoyed his trip to Ireland. Freddy was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Mary Ellen Dooling of Salem, and a supportive and loving extended family.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours are Monday from 3-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. JACK, MADELINE URSULA -- Madeline Ursula (Bechard) Jack, 90, died Thursday evening at a New Hampshire Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Albert Jack.
Born in Danvers on August 8, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Cyprien and Agnes (Spears) Bechard. Ursula was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School. Mrs. Jack was employed by the Ideal Baby Shoe Company in Danvers as a bookkeeper for many years. She moved to Lynn in 1953 and resided there until 2001, when she moved to New Hampshire.
She is survived by a brother, Gardner Bechard and his wife Ruth of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Mildred Frost, Mary Alexander, Charles Bechard, Wilbur Bechard and Lorraine Wegrziniak.
Her Funeral services will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.

STEVENSON, C. ELIZABETH -- Clara Elizabeth "Betty" (Wells) Stevenson, 78, died June 20, 2005 in Orlando, FL. She was the wife of the late George D. Stevenson.
Born in Lynn on July 30, 1926, she the daughter of Elwin and Florence (Smith) Wells. She was Raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1944. She went on to further her education at the New England Conservatory of Music.
For many years, she was a piano teacher at Rollins College. She was an accomplished church organist, and an accompanist to the Winter Park Musicale, the Orlando Opera Guild, and the Martin Marietta Chorus. She was a truly great woman who was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Richard and Gwen Stevenson, Laurie and David Casey, and Melanie and Charles Filko; a brother, Paul Wells; a sister, Gracie Thomas, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.
A Graveside Service will be held tomorrow, Nov. 19 at 10AM in the Holten Cemetery, Holten St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements are under the direction of C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.

PROVOST, EDMOND SCOTT -- Edmond Scott Provost, 44, died Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Brigham & Womens Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born in Lynn on April 14, 1962, he was the son of Marsha (Scott) Provost and the late Edmond F. Provost. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, Class of 1981. Living in Danvers in recent years, he had also made his home in Maine, New Hampshire, and Florida.
Scott served in the U.S. Air Force for three years at Pease AFB in New Hampshire.
A music lover and accomplished guitarist, he played in the Beatles cover Band Beatle Invasion.
Currently studying to be a paralegal at North Shore Community College, he was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and a Deans List student.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by an aunt, Sandra Fortier of NH; two uncles: Richard Scott and his wife Kris of FL, and Wayne Scott and his wife Mary of Quincy; several cousins, and many dear friends.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006 at 10AM in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St., West Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
