BONNEMA, JAMES V. -- James V. Bonnema, 56, died unexpectedly on Monday evening following a sudden illness. He was the husband of Janet (FitzSimonds) Bonnema, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.
Born in Passak, NJ on March 31, 1950, he was the son of the late Vincent and Rose (Bakelaar) Bonnema. He was raised and educated in New Jersey and was a graduate of Clifton High School, Class of 1968. He attended M.I.T. and Northeastern University, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering.
He began his career as an engineer with the Gillette Corporation. He was with Schawbel Corporation of Bedford for nearly 20 years, where he was Vice President for Research.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a brother, Kenneth Bonnema and his wife Roberta of Ohio; a dear aunt, Mildred Anderson of FL; two nieces, and a loving extended family.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Funeral and burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in James' memory may be made to MSPCA-Angell, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.

BERRY, WARREN, O. -- of Danvers, Warren O. Berry, 82, died Dec. 26, 2006 at a local nursing facility following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Eleanor (Knowlton) Berry, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in Gardner, on May 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Harold and Marion (Norton) Berry. He was raised and educated in Gardner. Mr. Berry was a graduated of MIT, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. He was employed as an industrial engineer with Sylvania for over 15 years. He had been employed with the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital as the Administrator of Radiology and also been employed at AVCO in Wilmington. Mr. Berry served his country during WWII with the United States Army Air Force, and was discharged honorably.
Mr. Berry had been a resident of Danvers for over 55 years. He was active within his community, serving as a past member of the Danvers School Committee. He was vocal in local and state politics.
Besides his wife Eleanor, he is survived by his children and their spouses; James and Susan Berry of New Bedford, Neil and Stephanie Berry of Durham, ME, Karen and Bobby Brown of Ipswich, Ann and Mike Dignard of Reading, Thad and Margaret Berry of Reading and Jeffrey and Lisa Berry of Topsfield, sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, David Berry.
Visiting Hours are Fri., Dec. 29, 2006 from 4- 8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Funeral Service will be Sat., Dec. 30, 2006 at 10AM in the Maple Street Congregational Church, 90 Maple St., Danvers.. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the George Peabody Society at the Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.

BAILEY, PATRICIA, H. -- of Danvers, Patricia H. Bailey, 84, died Dec. 24, 2006 following a lengthy illness in a local nursing home.
Born on March 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helena (Guiddry) Bailey. She was raised and educated in Salem and a graduate from St. James High School in Salem. Ms. Bailey had been a resident of Danvers for most of her life and a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish.
She is survived by a brother, Charles Bailey and a niece Charlene Bailey Allard, both of Florida. She was predeceased by siblings, James, Francis and Mary Bailey.
Her funeral will take place from C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers on Thursday, Dec. 28 at 8:15AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will immediately follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. There are no visiting hours.

BRINKLEY, ANNA M. (CRAIG) - Of N. Hampton, formerly of Danvers, Anna M. (Craig) Brinkley, 84, died Saturday Dec. 16, 2006. She was the wife of the late William Henry Brinkley.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on January 9, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Mary (Mosher) Craig. Anna moved to Medford from Canada in 1923 along with her family. Mrs. Brinkley had been a resident of Danvers for of 40 years, where she was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish. Mrs. Brinkley was employed with Sylvania in Salem and Western Electric in N. Andover prior to retiring to New Hampshire and Melbourne Beach, Florida with her husband.
Anna loved painting and gardening and would often share her art with friends and family. She was also a Patriots fan, especially of Tom Brady. When in Melbourne Beach she enjoyed events with the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Diane Brinkley of Danvers, two daughters and sons-in-law, Roseanne and Tony Baglio of Boxford and Gail Brinkley and Tony Jenney of New Hampshire, four grandchildren; Steven Brinkley and Kristin Cicerone, both of Danvers and Annie and Alex Jenney of New Hampshire, four great grandchildren, Ella and Grace Brinkley and Sean and Kaitlyn Cicerone, one brother; George Craig of NY, three sisters; Doris Cole of Danvers, Alma Caton of Wakefield and Eleanor Brown of Worcester, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister and six brothers.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Fri., Dec. 22, 2006 at 11:00AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Anna's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.

FOSSIANO, GUY -- Guy M. Fossiano, Jr., 84, died Thursday, December 21, 2006 following a lengthy illness at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody. He was the husband of the late Kathryn (Johnston) Fossiano.
Born in Beverly on July 18, 1922, he was the son of the late Guy and Bernice (Foster) Fossiano. He was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School.
Mr. Fossiano was an honorably discharged veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
For many years, Guy worked at the former New England Telephone & Telegraph Company.
He is survived by a daughter, Carol Fossiano and her fiance, Richard Faulkner, both of Beverly, a son, Alan Fossiano of NH, and a grandson, Tyler Fossiano of NH.
As requested, all funeral services will be private and there are no visiting hours. Arrangements are by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.

VAUGHN, CAROLYN F. -- Carolyn F. (Kowalski) Vaughn, 87, died Saturday, December 16, 2006 following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Wendell Vaughn.
Born in Salem on March 8, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maryanna (Majka) Kowalski. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1937.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Sylvania in Danvers during World War II.
Carolyn was a member of the Rosary Society at the former St. Joseph Church in Peabody, where she was a longtime parishioner.
She is survived by two brothers and their wives: Theodore and Pauline Kowalski of Peabody and Edmund and Delphine Kowalski of Danvers, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alice Mahoney, Jane Quimby Wake, Stanley Kowalski, and Victoria Kohn.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10AM in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday (today) from 3-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carolyn's memory may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers Square.

SIMARD, BILL -- A. William Simard, 60, died early Thursday morning, December 14, 2006 following a lengthy illness surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Elissa A. (Gorman) Simard, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on May 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (McInnis) Simard. He was raised and educated in Danvers and Beverly, and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1964. He was a Beverly resident for many years.
Bill was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969.
For over twenty-five years, Bill was the general manager of Bill & Bobâ€s Roast Beef. In 1975, he founded Simardâ€s Family Restaurants, which he operated until his death.
He was active in the Beverly Youth Soccer Association, where he had been a coach for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Michelle Trask and her husband Richard of Chester, NH, and Amanda Nicole Simard of Medford; a brother: John Simard of Peabody; three sisters: Elizabeth Simard of Wilmington, Donna Burt of Beverly, and Peggy Mulligan of Danvers; a grandson, Stanley Trask III; his mother-in-law, Martha Gorman of Marblehead; and a large, loving extended family.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 18, 2006 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. CROSBY, ALLISON -- Allison Elizabeth Crosby, age 7, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born on May 29, 2000, she was the loving daughter of Michael and Katherine (Horvath) Crosby. Allison had just completed first grade at Fuller Meadow Elementary School. Allison loved animals and especially dogs. She also enjoyed reading, coloring, riding her bike and loved playing with her little brother.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Justin Michael, her grandparents, Thomas Horvath of PA, Marilyn Horvath of PA and James and Patricia Crosby of Danvers, her great grandmothers, Betty Ingram of Ohio and Eleanor Horvath of PA, her cousins, Ben and Ryley Crosby, Kyle and Kelsey Clancey and Bethany and Jared Ross, and many aunts and uncles.
As requested, funeral services are private. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allisons memory may be made to the Animal Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20037. Arrangements are by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm Street, Danvers Square.

COLE (LANDRY) JOAN -- of Danvers, Joan (Landry) Cole, 74, beloved wife of Linwood B. Cole, died peacefully on July 20, 2007 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Home in Danvers surrounded by family and friends, following an extended illness.
Joan is survived by her husband Linwood Lenny Cole, her brother Richard Landry of NY, two daughters, Sherry Gruber and her husband, Stephen of Danvers and Debrale Murphy and her husband Peter of Lancaster, MA, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A life-long resident of Danvers, Joan was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1951.
Joan and Lenny were actively involved in the early stages of the North Shore Retarded Childrens Association, helping to establish mandatory public education for special needs children. Joan was intimately involved with the first preschool for special needs children, held at Riverside Elementary School in Danvers. Pamela Anne Cole, Joans eldest daughter, was among the first special needs children to receive a public education on the North Shore. Joan diligently and faithfully cared for Pamela as a devoted mother until Pammie died in 2005.
Joan loved to teach children of Gods love and taught Sunday School at Holy Trinity United Methodist Church in Danvers for thirty years. She had been a member there since 1945.
Joan loved people and was quick to offer help to those in need. She worked as a nurses aid at the Hunt Memorial Hospital and then at Kalos Adult Health Program in Beverly. As an avid reader with a remarkable breadth of knowledge, Joan was always greatly respected and valued by superiors as well as co-workers. With a great sense of humor and a brilliant story-telling ability, she was a great conversationalist for the patients that she so faithfully served, as well as for her many friends and loved ones. Joan was a caring person with a large heart, a listening ear and shoulder to cry on for any one in need.
Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she is sorely missed.
Joan's Funeral service will be held on Wed., July 25, 2007 at 11:00AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. Vst. Hrs. are Tues. 2-4PM and 6-8PM.

MARIBITO, ALFRED -- Alfred S. Maribito, 79, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Beverly Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Margaret (Firth) Maribito, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.
Born in Salem on November 1, 1927, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace (Aiello) Maribito. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. He was a Danvers resident for many years until he retired to Palm Bay, FL, where he lived until returning to Danvers in 2005.
He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army.
For several years, Fred was employed at Oxford Motors in Salem. Then, he was employed as a mechanic for the Town of Danvers for more than twenty years.
Fred was active with the Blue Angels and the Shooting Stars, the drum and bugle corps sponsored by the Danvers VFW.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children: Laureen Moore and her husband Paul, Rosemarie Anastosopoulos and her husband Frank, Valerie Bliss and her husband Kenneth, and Ellen Allain and her husband Raymond; his grandchildren: Shayla Copeland, Brenda McKenney, Stacey Anastopoulos, Frank Anastopoulos Jr., Bonnie Willette, Darlene Schavone, Brian and Jamie Bliss, and Paul and Pauline Allain; 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers: Frank, Joseph, and Anthony Maribito.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Freds name may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
