KELLER, JOSEPH, F. OF DANVERS- Joseph F. Keller, Jr., 84, died May 7, 2008 at a local nursing facility. He was the husband of Adele (Grigonis) Keller with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.
Born in Peabody on Nov. 24, 1923, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ida (Smart) Keller. He served his country with the United States Coast Guard during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. Mr. Keller was a resident of Danvers for over 55 years. He summered in Wakefield, New Hampshire for many years. He was a handyman and could fix anything. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. Mr. Keller loved spending time with his family and his dog Max. Mr. Keller was employed as a Maintenance Mechanic for Ventron for many years.
Besides his wife Adele, he is survived by his children and spouses, Wayne and Toni Keller of Danvers, Joseph Keller of Middleton, Janice and Bob Pederson of Derry, NH, Douglas and Joanne Keller of Amesbury, Ronald and Janice of Sandown, NH, Judith and Douglas Hardy of Beverly and Kevin and Cheryl Keller of Rowley, ten grandchildren, Ashley, Lisa, Debbie, Sheila, Shaun, Olivia, Joseph, Melissa, Douglas, Jr. and Sara, and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Jason.
His funeral services are private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Kellers name to the Alzheimers Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA, 02472 or American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.

HALL, FRANK -- Franklin C. Hall, 61, died Tuesday evening at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Sandra (Wallace) Hall, with whom he shared the last thirty-four years of his life.
Born in Swampscott on Nov. 26, 1946, he was the son of Wilda (Bunker) Hall of Marblehead and the late Frank C. Hall. He was raised and educated in Swampscott and Beverly and was a graduate of the Beverly Trade School, Class of 1964. He had been a Danvers resident for over 25 years.
For more than twenty years, Frank was employed at Verizon. Previously, he had worked as a printer and also as a millwright at Lowe, Inc. in Danvers. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Thomas E. Power Council #1505 and the Polish Club of Danvers, where he ran Polski and the meat raffles for several years. He was proud of the fundraising he did for Toys-for-Tots each Christmas.
An avid motorcyclist, he loved the Harley-Davidson that he recently restored.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a sister, Wilda Kraus of Marblehead, a brother, Harry Hall of Georgetown, two nephews, David Cole and Frank Hall, a niece, Emily Smith, and two grandnephews and a grandniece.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Friday from 4-8PM in the funeral home. Donations in Franks name may be made to Strays In Need, PO Box 223, Danvers, MA 01923.

TEAL, IRENE F. OF MARSHFIELD- Irene F. (Kennedy) Teal, 84 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the home of her son Richard C. Teal, JR and his wife, Catherine.
Born and raised in Salem and the youngest of 12 children, she graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1940. She was married for 51 years to Richard C. Teal, who died in 1994. Irene and her husband raised their family in Framingham before returning to Danvers in 1967. She moved to Marshfield last year due to declining health.
Irene was one of the original drivers of the Danvers Council on Aging Senior Citizens Bus, retiring from that position at age 65 after 12 of service. She was a former member of the Wenham Golf Club, and an avid Bingo and Cribbage player. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all.
Besides her son and his wife, she is also survived by a daughter, Linda Burwell of Yarmouth, a sister, Catherine Connors of Danvers, her grandchildren, Kristin, Brent, Maggie, Erin, and Adam, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will immediately follow in Wadsworth Cemetery. Vst. Hrs are Tues. from 4PM-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations in her name may be made to: Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.

WHEELER, HAZEL -- Hazel Dalrymple Wheeler, 71, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
Born in Framingham on Sept. 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence (Johnson) Dalrymple. She was raised and educated in Hopkinton and was a graduate of Hopkinton High School and Framingham State Teachers College.
Hazel was a loving mother and partner who enjoyed spending time with her family, ocean kayaking, reading, and traveling.
She is survived by her partner, Fred Menschel of Danvers, four children: Bruce Wheeler of Chelmsford, Scott Wheeler of Newport, RI, Mark Wheeler of Chelmsford, and Lynne Swanson of Carlisle, four grandchildren, and two brothers, James Dalrymple of Westerville, OH and Charles Carlstrom of Dennis.
Funeral Services are private and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Hopkinton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hazels name may be made to the NSMC Cancer Center, 17 Centennial Dr., Peabody, MA 01960. Arrangements are by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square

CLOHERTY, BARBARA -- Barbara M. (Klein) Cloherty, 59, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, April 22, 2008.
Born in New York on May 16, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Viola (Neibling) Klein, she was raised and educated in New Jersey where she was a graduate of Mawah High School. A resident of Danvers and Peabody in recent years, she had resided in Wilmington, NC for several years after raising her family in Mansfield.
After graduating from Worcester State College, Barbara worked for many years as an occupational therapist in both Massachusetts and North Carolina and she had also worked as an aide in the Mansfield School System.
Barbara loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren Sean and Anna. She also loved playing with her cats Smoky and Sousa, doing arts and crafts, playing Scrabble, and working on crossword puzzles. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and keeping a beautiful and clean home. She was a great hostess and always enjoyed bringing the family together at her home on holidays and special occasions. She was an incredibly caring and generous person who always went out of her way to make others happy. As an occupational therapist, she thrived on the success of her patients and loved seeing the progress they made. As a mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she loved those around her endlessly and will always be remembered and appreciated.
She is survived by two children: Sarah Cloherty and her fiancé Brian Freiermuth of San Francisco, CA and Sean Cloherty and his wife Dianna of Rockport; two grandchildren: Sean and Anna Cloherty of Rockport; and two brothers: Thomas Klein and Arthur Klein Jr., both of New Jersey.
A celebration of Barbaras life will be held privately. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbaras name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the Alzheimers Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.

VENTRE, JAMES WILLIAM OF BEVERLY- James William Ventre, 75, died unexpectedly on April 24, 2008, while running in Newburyport.
Born in Swampscott on September 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Sutherland) Ventre. James was raised and educated in Danvers. He served with the United States Air Force for over fifteen years; which stationed him in Texas and Hawaii. He raised his family in Boxford where he also served as a police officer. He also resided in Newburyport before living in Beverly for the past 8 years. Mr. Ventre was a member of the YMCA, Sterling Center in Beverly and was an enthusiastic runner. He was also an avid reader, film buff and enjoyed spending time at the Salem Public library. James loved music and especially enjoyed Jazz.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Sharon Ventre of Salem and a daughter and son-in-law, Tawny and Tim Learned of Salisbury, a brother Harry Ventre, Jr. of Beverly, a sister Joan Morrison of Lynn, four grandchildren, Bailey and Zoe Ventre and Tiffany and Timothy Learned, his former wife Beverly (Spooner) Ventre and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ventres family will be receiving friends and relatives on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Ventres name to your local library.

TOLEOS, ELIZABETH -- Elizabeth A. (Begin) Toleos, 82, died Thursday at a local nursing facility. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Toleos, with whom she shared forty-eight years of marriage.
Born in Salem on Sept. 17, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Portelance) Begin, she was raised and educated in Salem and had been a Danvers resident for over fifty years.
Over the years, Mrs. Toleos was employed as a seamstress at a number of locations. She was a parishioner of the former St. Alphonsus Church.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Toleos and his wife Shryl of Danvers and Nicholas Toleos of Brentwood, NH; three grandchildren: Steven, Tracy, and Matthew Toleos; three great-grandchildren: Jackie, Makayla, and Nicholas Toleos; two sisters: Bernadette Jodin and Gabrielle Morin; two brothers: Leo and Oscar Begin; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8PM in the funeral home. KUSEK, ROSALIA, J. -- OF DANVERS- Rosalia J. Kusek, died April 20, 2008 at a local nursing facility.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Peter and Anna (Burek) Kusek. Ms. Kusek was a communicant of the former St. Joseph Church in Peabody and a member of the Holy Rosary Society. She was employed as a Quality Inspector at GTE where she was also a member of the Quarter Century Club.
She is survived by a niece, Linda Repucci of Topsfield and a nephew Peter Kusek of Florida, two nieces of California and two great nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Peter Kusek and a sister Genevieve Connolly.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11AM on Wednesday, April 21, 2008 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, North St., Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Discalced Carmelite Monastery, 15 Mt. Carmel Rd, Danvers, MA 01923.

TANNER, FLORENCE -- Florence G. (Smith) Tanner, 87, died late Wednesday evening following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late John M. Tanner, with whom she shared fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Boston on Nov. 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Wakefield) Smith. She was raised and educated in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. A Danvers resident for the last two years, she made her home in Everett for many years, where she raised her family.
For thirty-eight years, Florence was employed as a salesperson at the former Jordan Marsh Co. in Boston.
A longtime parishioner of the former St. Therese Church in Everett, she volunteered her time at the churchs bingo nights for many years. A New England Patriots fan, she and her husband enjoyed being season ticket holders. Florence was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to many beautiful places with her late husband.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and William Russell of Danvers; two grandchildren: Susan Russo and her husband Charles of Lynnfield and Christopher Russell and his wife Julie of Derry, NH; and two great grandchildren who were the light of her life, Louis Russo and Nolan Russell. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Mary Smith.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Florences name may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.

PEASE, ELSIE -- Elsie A. Pease, 99, died Saturday at a local nursing facility following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Guy A. Pease.
Born in Nova Scotia, Canada on Dec. 30, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (White) Boudreau. She was raised and educated in Joggins, Nova Scotia and came to the United States as a young woman. She resided for many years in Dedham where she raised her family and had made her home in Middleton for several years.
Until the time of her retirement, she was employed in the insurance industry by John Hancock in Boston.
Elsie was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with family and traveling.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Lois and James McCarthy of TX, Joan and James Alexander of Danvers, and Robert and Marilyn Pease of Marlboro, eight grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Leona, Irene, Hazel, Leonard, Alton, and Daniel.
Her Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. There are no visiting hours are burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

RING, MILDRED -- Mildred G. Ring, 89, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Francis Ring, who predeceased her in 1991.
Born in Salem on Jan. 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Dragon) West. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. Before settling in Danvers thirty years ago, Mrs. Ring lived in Salem and Peabody.
For fifteen years, she was employed as an inspector at the former EG&G in Salem.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Connie Ring of Stoneham. She was predeceased by her sisters and brother, Pauline West, Elizabeth Levesque, and Walter West.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mildreds name may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
