ORRALL, JOHN H. "JACK" -- John H. "Jack" Orrall, 83, died Friday afternoon, November 14, 2008 following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Charlotte (Crosier) Orrall, with whom he shared fifty-nine years of marriage.
Born in Winthrop on February 15, 1925, Mr. Orrall was the son of the late John and Winifred (Ives) Orrall. He was raised and educated there and was a graduate of Winthrop High School, class of 1942. He then attended the University of New Hampshire before enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corps. During World War II, he served in the 8th Air Force, 533rd Squadron, and 381st Bomb Group. During his service, he was the recipient of the Purple Heart, the European, African, Middle Eastern Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, and the Air Medal with five Oak Clusters.
Following his discharge, he joined his father at Winthrop Printing Co. in Boston. He retired in 1995 as past President and Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Orrall served as a deacon and trustee at the Centre Congregational Church in Lynnfield. An Eagle Scout, he was active in scouting for many years, serving as a scoutmaster in Winthrop and then with Troop 48 in Lynnfield.
In addition to his wife, he leaves: a son, J. Peter Orrall and his wife Kathy of North Reading; two daughters, Nancy Marquis and her husband Wayne of Danvers, and Judith LaCapra and her husband William of Thompson, CT; four grandchildren: Peter and Jamie Orrall of North Reading, Jennifer and Kathryn Marquis of Danvers; a brother, Roy Orrall and his wife Mabel of Lynnfield; a sister, Cherrie Wilichoski of Danvers; and several nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Ann Marie Orrall and brother of the late Frank Q. Orrall.
Mr. Orrall's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at 10:30AM in the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield. Relatives and friends are invited. As requested, there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Orrall's name may be made to the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer St., Lynnfield, MA 01940 or All Care Hospice, 16 City Hall Sq., Lynn, MA 01901.

Francis "Frank" O'Neil McKinnon, 83, passed away Nov. 9, 2008 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the husband of the late Mary (Payne) McKinnon.
Born on Nov. 21, 1924 in Manchester-by-the-Sea, he was the son of the late Duncan and Helen McKinnon. Mr. McKinnon was a graduate of Salem High School and served with the United States Navy during WWII. He was employed as a machinist for many years before working as an operator at the Winona Pond Water Treatment Facility in Peabody for many years. He had been a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers. He was also a member of the AOH Division 11 in Peabody and the American Legion Post 153 in Peabody. Mr. McKinnon enjoyed ten pin and candle pin bowling and won many high single and high triple awards. He also was an avid professional sports fan and especially enjoyed the Patriots, Celtics and Bruins.
He is survived by a son John "Jack" McKinnon of Danvers, two grandchildren, Shannon Campbell and her husband Joe of Groveland and Sean McKinnon of Danvers, two great grandchildren, Vanessa McKinnon and Owen Campbell, a brother James of Raymond, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Archibald, Thomas and John McKinnon, Edith Sleeper and Joan Sigman.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thurs., Nov. 13, 2008 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.

BARNETT, DONALD R., JR. -- Donald R. Barnett, Jr., 56, died Sunday, November 2, 2008 surrounded by his supportive friends and family following a six year battle with multiple myeloma. He was the devoted husband of Jewel (Melanson) Barnett, with whom he shared the last ten years of his life.
Born in Beverly on June 21, 1952, Don was the son of Theresa (Valcour) Barnett of Danvers and the late Donald R. "Jeff" Barnett Sr. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1970.
For more than thirty years, Don owned and operated Barnett's Truck and Auto. He later worked for Curran Bros. Florist and Lyons Ambulance Service.
A lifelong Danvers resident, he was active in both the American Little League and the Babe Ruth League, serving in various positions of both organizations, was a longtime member of the Danvers Touchdown Club, and served as president in 1996. Over the years, Don shared his time and talents with Danvers Youth Hockey, the Danvers Kiwanis Club, the Knights of Columbus, and the Danvers Historical Society. For more than twenty years, Don volunteered his time with the Danvers Family Festival Committee, where he was a past chairman; and was especially proud of serving as chairman of the Fireworks Celebration Committee for the last eighteen years.
In recognition of Don's commitment to his community, he was the recipient of the Arthur E. Balser Award for his service to youth baseball in 1995, the Contribution to Youth Award from the Touchdown Club in 2002, and the Baron Mayer Award in 2003.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves his children: "Anastasia "Stacey" Barnett of Texas, Donald R. Barnett III of Beverly, Dane Leveton of Peabody, and Paige Barnett of Danvers; two sisters: Donna Laskowsky of MI and Karen Madden of Danvers; two brothers: Chuck Barnett of CO and Michael Barnett of Danvers; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday at 10AM at Plains Park, where Don directed the fireworks for so many years. Relatives and friends are invited. As requested, there are no visiting hours. Kindly omit flowers. Instead, donations in Don's name may be Made to the Don Barnett Memorial Fund, Danvers Family Festival, PO Box 448, Danvers, MA 01923. IANNITELLI, LAURA -- Laura Jean (Geggatt) Iannitelli, 41, died Thursday Oct. 30, 2008 at Salem Hospital surrounded by her loving and dedicated family following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of David Iannitelli, with whom she shared ten years of marriage.
Born in El Paso, TX on July 12, 1967, she was the daughter of Philip and Kathleen (Jankoski) Geggatt. She was raised and educated in New Jersey and Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1985 and Salem State College. A Danvers resident for many years, she resided in West Newbury for the last 12 years.
Laurie made her career as an accountant for several businesses, and most recently was employed by Surmet in Burlington.
With a love of life and a love of family that kept her strong through her illness, she was an avid quilter. Laurie won a blue ribbon for her quilting at the Topsfield Fair in 2007. She was a motorsport enthusiast who enjoyed her Harley-Davidson and snowmobiling. Laurie loved gardening, cooking, and baking, and had a special place in her heart for her dog, Abbey.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother Lula Parsons of Danvers, a sister Karen Alley and her husband Michael of Danvers, two brothers Philip Geggatt and his wife Theresa of NH and Michael Geggatt and his fiancée Holly Braddy of Beverly, an aunt Crystal Atherton, her father-in-law, Richard Iannitelli, her mother-in-law and her companion, Linda Iannitelli and Bob Carey, her sister-in-law Diane Hagan, her brother-in-law Dustin Iannitelli, her nieces and nephews Nicole, Joshua, Caitlyn, and Angela Geggatt, Dana, Meggie, and Shane Alley, Emma Hagan, and Jason, Daniel, and Lauren Iannitelli, two grandnephews Joseph Rousseau and Jason Geggatt, her lifelong dear friends Cathy and Randy Blake and Kristin Iannitelli, and a loving extended family.
Her Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10AM in the Maple Street Congregational Church, 90 Maple St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. ZAGARELLA, PETER -- Peter Zagarella died Friday afternoon, October 24, 2008, at the age of 82, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Rita (Ouimette) Zagarella, his wife of 59 years, and devoted father of daughter Dona Page and sons Peter, William, and Neal Zagarella.
Peter was the son of Italian immigrants, born December 21, 1925 in Boston to his late parents Peter and Louise. He was raised in East Boston with his brother William, and enjoyed telling stories of his youth there. During WWII, Peter enlisted in the Navy and served aboard the USS Ahrens in the Atlantic and Pacific. His ship was part of Task Force 58 that supported the invasions of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
After returning from the service Peter met his wife at the Oceanview Ballroom in Revere, danced with her that evening, and they continued dancing for the rest of their lives together. All of Peter's friends and relatives admired and reveled in his skill and exuberance on the dance floor.
In 1986 he retired from Devcon in Danvers where he worked as supervisor of shipping and receiving. Previously he had spent twenty years at Vulcan Electric in Danvers. Throughout his working career he was a man who would stand by his co-workers and those that worked for him.
At home he was as handy in the kitchen as he was with his tool box. Through the years he completed many changes and renovations to the family home. He enjoyed cooking and took pleasure in making gifts of his food, especially his wonderful eggplant. He enjoyed hosting Father's Day celebrations and creating all the dishes on the menu.
Peter also enjoyed painting both on the canvass and on the walls of his home. He enjoyed watching painting shows on television and would often use his creativity in color schemes and patterns in his house.
Over the years Peter collected miniature wind-up toys and distributed them amongst his grandchildren. He also took joy in his hat collection. Over 100 different caps hang in a special room in his house. Some of the hats were gifts, some souveniers, many of them were humorous, but the one he took the most pride in has the name of his ship, the USS Ahrens on the front, and his nickname Ziggy on the back.
Peter enjoyed rooting for the Boston sports teams, following politics, and reading books and the daily newspaper.
Along with his wife and children, he is survived by a son-in-law Donald Page of NH and daughters-in-law Joanne Zagarella of Amesbury and Kerry Zagarella of Beverly and the grandchildren he was so proud of, Seth and Josh Page, Daniel, Melissa, Gregory, and Nathan Zagarella, and Gus and Henry Zagarella. He will also be missed by countless friends and relatives.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. DECOFF, PETER A. - OF DANVERS- Peter A. DeCoff, 56, died following a brief illness on Thursday, October 23, 2008.
Born in Saugus on Dec. 15, 1951, he was the son of the late Roy E. and Helen (Kapnis) DeCoff. Peter was raised and educated in Danvers and a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1969. He was very active within his community and volunteered his time coaching for the Danvers National Little League and Danvers Youth Hockey, where he also served as the president. Peter also loved spending time at his vacation home in Lake Shore Park in New Hampshire. He was employed as an electrical engineer with National Grid and the former Massachusetts Electric for 39 years and was a member of the Local 317.
He is survived by a son Jason DeCoff and a daughter Kristin DeCoff, both of New Hampshire, a brother Thomas R. DeCoff and his wife Dee of Danvers, niece and nephew Tom and Tiffany DeCoff, his former wife Deb (Talbot) (DeCoff) Skinner and his two cats Kramer and Lucky.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tues., Oct. 28 at 9AM in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Vst. hrs are Mon. 4PM-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Peter's name to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.

LARRABEE, LORRAINE "LORI" - of Chelmsford, formerly of Danvers, Lorraine "Lori" V. (Ouimette) Larrabee passed away on Oct. 15, 2008, following a brief illness. She was married for 51 years to her beloved John Larrabee, who passed away in 1993.
Born in Danvers on March 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Amie and Lillian (LaBelle) Ouimette. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Judith and Geoff Bryant of Chelmsford, three grandchildren, Chris, Katie and Daniel, siblings, Charlotte DeBie of Danvers, Pauline Lewis of Beverly and Mickey Ouimette of Danvers, several nieces and nephews, many friends along with her dear church family from Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford. She was predeceased by siblings, Dot Young, Pat Ouimette, and Honey and Fern Ouimette.
Aside from being an active member of her church, some of her favorite things to do were watching old episodes of MASH, spending time with friends who loved her, doing Crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper, taking scenic drives, reading novels and shopping. She especially loved her "girls' days out" with her daughter and granddaughter, her younger grandson's visits to talk and help her with the technological difficulties of her television and DVD player, and seeing her older grandson whenever he visited from California.
Lori lived in Danvers, MA for most of her life and worked for many of those years at the Corner Grocery Store on Hobart Street. She moved to Chelmsford in 2001 to be closer to her family.
A graveside service will be held on Mon., Oct. 20 at 9:30AM in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. A Memorial service will also be held Monday at 2PM in Central Congregational Church UCC, 1 Worthen St., Chelmsford. Vst. hrs are Sun. 3PM-5PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Central Congregational Church, 1 Worthen St, Chelmsford, MA 01824.

CONDON, PATRICK -- Patrick W. Condon, 47, died suddenly on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 after being stricken at home. He was the loving father of Brian Condon, a junior at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School, and Andrew Condon, a 7th grader at Miles River Middle School.
Born in Salem on Dec. 11, 1960, he was the son of Ellen (Lally) Condon of Danvers and the late Everett Condon. He was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1978. He was a resident of Hamilton for many years before moving to Haverhill nearly three years ago.
Most recently, he had been employed as a sales manager with Boston Bean. Previously, he had been employed for more than ten years as a general manager with the Ninety-Nine Restaurant in North Andover.
Mr. Condon touched many lives. He was a loving and caring father, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed.
In addition to his sons and mother, he is survived by two sisters: Susan Hubbard and her husband Bruce of Reading and Marybeth Burak-Condon of Danvers, two brothers: Steven Condon of Oregon and Timothy Condon of Haverhill, his best friend, Steve Serino, his former wife Lisa Condon of Hamilton, and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at 9AM in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. ANDERSON, BEVERLY -- Beverly J. (Spencer) Anderson, 75, died Saturday evening, October 11, 2008 following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late John T. Anderson.
Born in Lynn on Aug. 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Russell) Spencer. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School.
Mrs. Anderson was a real estate agent on the North Shore for over twenty years. For many years she was employed with the former Potter-Thompson Real Estate and then owned and operated Hilltop Real Estate with her late husband.
A Danvers resident for nearly forty-five years, she was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church. Mrs. Anderson was an accomplished artist and enjoyed sharing her paintings and sketches with family and friends. For many years she and her husband enjoyed dancing.
She is survived by two children, Jack Anderson and his wife Cindy of Deerfield, NH and Toni Keller and her husband Wayne of Danvers, a daughter-in-law, Toni Anderson of Amesbury, a brother, Jack Spencer of Lynn, five grandchildren, Lisa LaRocque, Debbie Keller, and Samantha, Jennifer, and Steven Anderson, and a great-grandson, Jason LaRocque. She was predeceased by a son, Steven Anderson, a brother, Earl Spencer, and a sister, Margie Calef.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 at noon in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.

TWISS, MARY LOUISE - OF DANVERS, Mary Louise (Fair) Twiss, 86, died October 9, 2008 at the Masconomet Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Edward A. Twiss, Jr. with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.
Born on January 18, 1922 in Myricks, she was the daughter of the late James Robert and Florence (Morse) Fair. Mrs. Twiss was raised and educated in Qunicy. She moved to Danvers in 1961 and had resided there for much of her life. Mrs. Twiss was communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, She was employed as sales associate for the former Jordan Marsh and now Macy's for over 25 years. Mrs. Twiss was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Mary and Michael Creeden of Salem, Dennis and Madeline Twiss of CA, Regina Twiss of Salem and Elizabeth and Thomas Woods of NH, three brothers, George of NH, John of Quincy and Francis of Texas, three sisters, Virginia Lake of Dedham, Ann Patten of Wareham and Debbie Earle of Fall River and five grandchildren, Angela Shaw, Gabrielle Gannon, Daniel and Patrick Creeden and Sam Twiss, 2 great grandchildren, Kylie DePrieste and Kendall Shaw and many friends at the Masconomet Nursing home. She was predeceased by siblings, Robert Fair, Jr. and Grace Doyle.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. hrs are Sunday from 2PM-6PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923 or Masconomet Residents Council Fund, 123 High St., Topsfield, MA 01983
