Flynn, Gladys (Sullivan) 92, died peacefully surrounded by family on Dec. 8, 2008, following a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of the late G. Warren Flynn.
Born in Standard, Illinois on Jan. 16, 1916, she was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle (Pearson) Sullivan. She had resided in Indianapolis before settling in Peabody in 1960. She had been an active member of her community and was a member of the Peabody Council on Aging, a volunteer at the Peabody Essex Museum and Haven for Hunger. Mrs. Flynn was employed as a secretary at the General Electric Riverworks in Lynn for over twenty years.
She was the beloved mother of Maureen Flynn of Peabody and sister of the late Robert and William Sullivan, aunt of Robert and John Sullivan and Nancy Danielson all of Chicago.
Maureen would like to thank those who helped with her mother's care, including Eileen, Christine, Sarah, Annie and Ellie. A special acknowledgement to Adela and her family for the kindness and compassion they showed Gladys during her illness.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Sat., Dec. 13, 2008 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. Hrs are Friday from 4PM-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Flynn's name to her beloved Peabody Council on Aging, 79 Central St, Peabody, MA, 01960 or the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.

GUARENTE, MARY -- Anda M. "Mary" (Tavano) Guarente, 82, died Saturday morning, December 6, 2008 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of Joseph A. Guarente, with whom she shared thirty-three years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on March 30, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Fannie (DeCotis) Tavano. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a lifelong Danvers resident.
Mrs. Guarente owned and operated several trailer parks on the Northshore. A communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, she was dedicated to family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a loving extended family and many dear friends. She was the loving mother of the late Samuel F. Roberto, who predeceased her in 2001.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.

PERLEY, ALLEN P. -- Allen P. "Brud" Perley, 82, died Friday, December 5, 2008 in a local nursing facility following a lengthy illness.
Born in Peabody on May 16, 1926, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Devine) Perley. He was raised in Danvers and was educated in Danvers schools. He was a lifelong Danvers resident.
Allen was a fixture in Danvers Square for decades where his family operated the former Perley's Market. He compiled a vast record collection and was especially fond of John Phillip Sousa, the New Christy Minstels, Elvis Presley, and the big bands of the 1940s. Allen enjoyed frequenting the fine eating establishments in Danvers, where he was on a first name basis with many of the proprietors. His sense of humor was appreciated by all who knew him.
He is survived by a niece, Sally Kerans of Danvers, three nephews, Thomas Kerans of Rockport, Stephen Kerans of Salem, and T. Christopher Kerans of Beverly. He was the brother of the late Priscilla (Perley) Kerans.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 3-5PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.

MICHALSKI, LEOPOLD -- Leopold M. "Mike" Michalski, 94, died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 26, 2008 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Marcella (Lyon) Michalski, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.
Born in Lawrence on Oct. 29, 1914, he was the son of the late John and Eva Michalski. He was raised and educated in Lawrence and had been a Danvers resident since 1960. He also resided in Beverly and West Boxford for several years.
Mr. Michalski was employed at the New England Power Company in Salem Harbor until the time of his retirement in 1977.
He was an active parishioner at the former Saint Joseph Church in Wilson Sq., Peabody as well as Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for several years and enjoyed golf and traveling the country with his wife.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Michalski is survived by a daughter, Barbara Michalski and her fiancé Philip Donovan Jr. of Brentwood, NH, four grandchildren, Jimmy, Allisha, Marcie, and Bryan Zabelski, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward, Walter, John, and Henry Michalski.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sat., Nov. 29 at noon in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boxford. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will precede the Mass from 10:45 to 11:45 in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Sq. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Michalski's name may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.

SWEETER, GLORIA -- Gloria J. (Gagnier) Sweeter, 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2008 surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Bruce M. Sweeter, Sr., with whom she shared forty-two years of marriage.
Born in Portland, Maine on November 30, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer Gagnier and Olive (Ward) Gagnier, who passed away six months ago and shared a special friendship with her daughter. Raised in Peabody, she had been a Danvers resident since 1972.
Mrs. Sweeter had been employed with Hub Manufacturing for many years before working as a housekeeper at Beverly Hospital and Hunt Hospital for fifteen years. She was also employed by Heritage Assisted Living in Danvers.
Mrs. Sweeter enjoyed sitting on her front porch, reading the paper and talking with neighbors who would walk by. She also enjoyed home decorating and trips to Atlantic City. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who loved sharing time with her family. A happy and loving woman, she touched every life she came across.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Bruce M. Sweeter, Jr., and his wife Kristine, of Whitingham, Vermont; two grandchildren, Gavin and Ryan, a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Bart Madruga of Plymouth; two nieces, Jamie Houde of Plymouth and Jillian Madruga of Easton, a great-niece, Miranda, and an aunt and uncle, Gloria and Frank Niles of Danvers.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting Hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Sweeter's name may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.

NOYES, CLIFFORD --BEVERLY- formerly of Danvers, Clifford W. "Oyster" Noyes, Jr., 82, passed away on Nov. 18, 2008 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the husband of Virginia (McCarthy) Noyes of Beverly.
Born in Haverhill on September 7, 1926, he was the son of the late Clifford W. and Helen F. (MacDonald) Noyes. Cliff was educated in Danvers and was honorably discharged from the United States Army, serving his country during World War II. Cliff was employed as a police officer for the Town of Danvers in the early 1950's. He was later employed by the former Creese and Cook Leather Company in Danvers Port. Mr. Noyes was a longtime employee of the Village Green Restaurant and Bar in Danvers. In his later years, he was custodian for the Beverly School Systems.
Cliff was a member of the Italian Community Center (ICC) of Beverly. He was active in the Town of Danvers semi pro football team, played softball, and was an avid golfer throughout his adult years.
In addition to his wife Ginny, Cliff is survived by a son Jeffrey of Beverly, two daughters, Christine Noyes of Beverly and Dawn Clay of Newburyport, three grandchildren, James, David and Megan Clay all of Newburyport, four brothers Harry, Robert, Donald and Charles all of Danvers and four sisters, Betty Skoneicki of Beverly, Margery Falkowski of Peabody, Carol Walsh of Beverly and Sandra Riley of Lynn, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Cliff was predeceased by a young brother, Richard.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00A.M. on Sat., Nov. 22, 2008 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.

LEVESQUE, LORRAINE - OF DANVERS- Lorraine M. (Sylvester) (Ludden) Levesque, 87, died peacefully at her daughter's home on June 5, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Ruth E. (Diggins) and Frederick B. Sylvester. She was the loving wife of the late Lionel J. Levesque of Peabody and Naples, Florida.
Lorraine established and operated "Lorraine's, Inc." of Beverly, a popular, exclusive ladies boutique, formerly on the corner of Cabot and Bow Streets. Upon retirement, Lorraine and her husband Lenny, traveled by RV for six years discovering and exploring the United States and Canada and taking in the awesome natural wonders both above and below the earth's surface. They then lived in the Florida Keys for six years, later settling in their Naples home for twenty-four years. Their home was always open for family and friends to enjoy.
The love of palm trees and cultivation of gardenias, jasmine, stephanotis, roses and fruit trees played a large part in Lorraine's life as well as boating, fishing, walking the beaches and snorkeling in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Lorraine also enjoyed painting and creating various works of art which won many a blue ribbon in Naples, and the islands of Sanibel and Marco.
As a member of St. Peter's Parish (in Florida), she served as both Eucharistic Minister and Lector within the parish, at Naples Community Hospital and local nursing homes. For the past seven years Lorraine resided in Danvers and was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christine (Ludden) and James E. Morse III of Danvers, three sisters, Eleanor Bovio of NH, Dorothea Knowlton of Beverly and A. Ruth Gaboriault of Danvers, three grandchildren and their families, James E. Morse IV, his wife Debra and their children Haley and Olivia of ME, Christopher J. Morse, his wife Patricia and their daughter Anna of ME and Jennifer M. Morse of Beverly, twenty-three nieces and nephews and many treasured friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her sister Theodora (Dody) O'Connor and her only brother Frederick A. Sylvester.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Mon., June 8, 2009 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers. Vst. Hrs are Sun. from 4pm-7pm at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923 of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 15 Mount Carmel Rd., Danvers, MA, 01923.

FALLETTE, STEVEN JOHN 26, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 unexpectedly at his home in Danvers.
Born in Danvers on April 24, 1983, he was the beloved son of Bruce Fallette of Danvers and Janet (Matthews) and Paul Bateman of Wenham. He was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School, Class of 2001. Steven played baseball with the Danvers National Little League and Danvers Youth Hockey.
He and his family especially enjoyed trips up to Quebec with his hockey team. Steven also enjoyed BMX racing, where he had ranked third in the state. He had been employed as a mechanic and most recently worked for Hogan Tire in Beverly.
Steven enjoyed working alongside his father in the family business, S & B Auto Repair. He also was an avid New England sports fan and especially enjoyed Bruins games with Gramp Sal. Steven will be deeply missed by Grammy Millie; he was the apple of her eye.
Besides his parents, Steven is survived by his brother P.J. and sisters Courtney and Tayler Bateman of Wenham and Danielle Fallette of Danvers, his grandparents Salvatore Fallette of Danvers and Richard and Millie Matthews of Danvers, his aunt Kim Cifra of Everett and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visiting hours are Thursday, June 4, 2009 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. The funeral is private at the requests of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Steven's name to the Danvers People to People Food Pantry, P.O. Box 2076, Danvers, MA, 01923.

CONLEY, MARY-OF DANVERS- Mary (Jankoski) (Sagan) Conley, 90, died May 23, 2009 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Gardner R. Conley with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.
She was born in Saugus on July 22, 1918, the daughter of the late Barney and Annie (Kotowicz) Jankoski. She resided in Saugus prior to moving to Danvers, where she was raised and spent most of her life. Mary worked as an operator for the telephone company for many years. She then took a job as a cafeteria worker and worked at the Great Oak School and Danvers High so she could be home when her children got home from school.
She also volunteered as a crossing guard. Mary was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church and most recently St. Richard Church
As much as she loved traveling, she truly loved being at home with her family and friends, where she enjoyed gardening, reading and cooking. Mary was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and polish golabki. She also enjoyed knitting and made many afghan blankets which she shared with her family.
Besides her husband, Gardner, she is survived by a son Robert Sagan of Danvers, two daughters and a son-in-law, Karen Sagan of Danvers and Debra and John Hutchins of Danvers, two step-sons, Gardner Conley Jr. and his wife Paula of Maine and Bruce Conley of Danvers, two sisters Estelle Trueira of Amesbury and Katherine Freeman of Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her previous husband Henry Sagan and siblings, Robert Johnson, Barney, Anthony and Frank Jankoski, Irene Thorner, Sophie Tonge and Anne Bushby.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Friday May 29, 2009 in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923 or American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street
Framingham, MA 01701.

O'BRIEN, DORIS - OF DANVERS- Doris (Donovan) O'Brien, 79, passed away following a brief illness at a local nursing facility. She was the wife of the late George F. O'Brien.
Born in Lynn on Dec. 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Gertrude (Stone) Donovan. She was raised and educated in Lynn and a graduate of Lynn English High School. She moved to Danvers with her husband to raise her family and was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church. Until recently, Mrs. O'Brien volunteered at various hospitals and schools.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jill Ells-O'Brien and her husband Andrew of Lowell and Joy Snellgrove and her husband Tom of Wakefield, a grandson Toby Snellgrove and a sister Nancy Monaco of Hamilton. She was predeceased by her brother James Donovan.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wed., May 27, 2009 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. hrs are Tues. from 6PM-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St, Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Doris's name to the Alzheimer's Assoc. 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
