MACDONALD, ROBERT -OF BEVERLY- formerly of Danvers, Robert R. MacDonald, 79, passed away on April 11, 2009 at a local nursing facility.
Born in Peabody on January 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Roy H. and Sarah F. (Kennedy) MacDonald. Mr. MacDonald served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953. He had been a baker in the Army and when discharged opened a bakery in Beverly. Most recently he had been a salesman at the former Wilmington Ford Automotive Dealer. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid outdoorsman and loyal Boston sports fan.
He is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Bruce and Mary MacDonald of Tewksbury, Brian MacDonald of Beverly, Robert Jr. and Mary MacDonald of Beverly and Scott and Nicole MacDonald of Salem, a daughter and son-in-law Linda and Simon Kaalman of Conn. and six grandchildren.
The funeral services will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to americanbrittanyrescue.org. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.

DUNLEAVY, CORRINE C. -- Corrine C. Dunleavy, 79, joined her loved ones in heaven on April 10, 2009. She was the wife of the late Walter Dunleavy, with whom she shared forty-five years of marriage.
Born in Boston on June 22, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Clausson) Downey. She was raised and educated in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1947. She had been a Danvers resident since 1955.
For several years, Mrs. Dunleavy was employed as a telephone operator at New England Telephone in Salem.
A communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, Mrs. Dunleavy enjoyed hooking rugs, reading, and cooking. Devoted to her family, she loved family gatherings, going out to eat, and Sunday drives.
She is survived by five daughters, Susan D'Agnese and her husband Felice of Haverhill, Kathleen Huntington and her husband Gregory of Danvers, Debbie Valentine and her husband Thomas of Danvers, Donna Rogers of Danvers, and Joan St. Pierre of Danvers, a sister, Marylou Ridley of CT, 14 grandchildren, Jonathan, Colleen, and Christopher D'Agnese, Greg, Lisa, and Darryl Huntington, Ryan, Judith, Cheryl, and Sarah Valentine, Jennifer Desrosiers, and Patrick, Jessica, and Erin St. Pierre.
She was predeceased by a son, John Dunleavy, a grandson, Kurt St. Pierre, and two brothers, Charles and Billy Downey.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 3-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Dunleavy's name may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc., 31 Milk St., Boston, MA 02109, the Cotting School, 453 Concord Ave., Lexington, MA 02421, or the Make A Wish Foundation, 1 Bulfinch Pl., 2nd Fl., Boston, MA 02114.

COLCORD, EDWARD D. -- Edward Dayton Colcord, 59, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. He was the loving husband of Marilyn (Wilkins) Colcord, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.
Born in Melrose on March 24, 1950, he was the son of the late Drummond and Florence Colcord and the loving foster-son of the late John and Bertha Todd. He was raised and educated in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1968. Mr. Colcord was a resident of Beverly for thirty years before residing in Danvers in recent years.
An honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy in submarine service, Mr. Colcord served during the Vietnam era aboard the sub tender USS H.W. Gilmore.
He was the owner and operator of Colcord Flooring in Beverly and was employed as head mechanic at Woburn Foreign Motors.
An avid coin collector, Mr. Colcord was a dedicated family man. He especially loved being a grandfather.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Marc Colcord Todd and his wife Terese of Foxboro, Jennifer Stasinos and her husband Demetrius of Kingston, NH, Nancy Stevens and her husband Michael of East Kingston, NH, and Cynthia Lepore and her husband Albert of Beverly, ten grandchildren, Katherine, Andrew, Peter, Matthew, Katarina, Karissa, Michael, Margaret, Melanie, and Mackenzie, his sisters and brothers, Susan Colcord Smith, Linda French, William Colcord, Richard Colcord, Joseph Pare, and Paul Pare. He was predeceased by a brother, Steven French.
His Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. As requested, there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yankee Clipper Council - Boy Scouts of America, 36 Amesbury Rd., Haverhill, MA 01830 or Operation Troop Support, 16 Trinity St., Danvers, MA 01923.

HUTCHINSON, HELEN M. -- OF DANVERS- Helen M. (Ward) Hutchinson, 86, passed away April 3, 2009 at Beverly Hospital. She was the wife of the late Walter T. Hutchinson.
Born in Peabody on Nov. 30, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Helen (Norton) Ward. She was raised and educated in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in 1940. Mrs. Hutchinson moved to Danvers in 1954. She was a communicant of the St. Richard Church. Helen was employed as a bookkeeper for many years, mainly with Bond Leather in Peabody. She did not retire until she was in her seventies.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Anne and Gail Hutchinson of Danvers, many nieces and nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her two brothers, James and Leonard Ward.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Wed., April 8, 2009 in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. Hours are Tues. 4PM-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
Memorial donations may be made to the VNA of the North Shore, 5 Federal St. #2, Danvers, MA, 01923.

LEVESQUE, KENNETH-OF DANVERS- Kenneth Martin Levesque, 64, passed away suddenly after being stricken in his home on Wed., March 24, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Judith A. (Blanchard) Levesque, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage.
Born in Salem on June 22, 1944, he was the son of Mary (Martin) Levesque of Danvers and the late Philip R. Levesque. Ken moved to Danvers with his family and attended the Danvers school system and graduated from Danvers High School. He attended Salem State College and graduated with a teaching degree. Ken was a marketing education teacher at Reading Memorial High School, where he enjoyed a rewarding and fulfilling career until his retirement in 2001. He also loved photography and developed a second career specializing in wedding photography. Ken was a creative man with many hobbies including, golf, dart competitions, C.B. radios, music and his desire to have all the latest gadgets.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark Levesque of Danvers and Kevin and Leslie Levesque of Salem, a sister Ruthann Pierce and her husband Thomas of Danvers, two grandchildren, Ella and James, nieces and nephews, Carrie Lloyd of Reading, Jill Tersolo of Danvers, Michelle Levesque of FL, Scott Pierce of Beverly, Christopher Levesque of PA, and great nephews, Mikey, Tyler, Ryan, Matthew and Brady. He was predeceased by his brother Wilfred Levesque.
A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Mon, Mar. 30, 2009 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. Hrs are Sun. 3PM-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Pl, Boston, MA 02215.

MALVITCH, EDWARD-OF DANVERS- Edward A. Malvitch, 67, passed away peacefully in his home on Sat., March 14, 2009 following a brief illness.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late John F. and Elizabeth (Innis) Malvitch. He lived in Danvers all his life and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1961. He also attended Wentworth Institute in Boston.
Ed enjoyed carpentry, writing and taking long walks daily. He especially liked to walk to Marblehead to watch the sailboats.
He is survived by his siblings, John, Dean and Paul Malvitch of Danvers, Jeanne Dionne, Patricia Milbury, Lorraine Chenery all of Peabody, Barbara Raymond and Mary Lyness of Salem and Susan Parker of Lynn, thirteen nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Harold Malvitch. His family wishes "Eddie" eternal rest in peace.
The funeral service is private at the request of the family. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.

MORAN, MARIE -- Marie L. (Flagg) Moran, 89, of Peabody died on Monday morning, March 16, at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Moran, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.
Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Rosanna (Ouellette) Flagg of Marlborough. She was raised in Marlborough, resided in Danvers raising four children. She was a devout parishioner of St. Mary's and St. Richards of Danvers.
Marie served in the Woman's Army Corps (WAC) where she worked as a nurse's aide at the Lawson V.A. Hospital in Georgia during and just after World War II. She also worked as a nurse's aide at the Danvers State Hospital for many years, retirement to Seabrook, NH in 1978. She enjoyed her retirement with many hobbies, taking long walks on Hampton Beach, bowling with her friends and loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marie is survived by two sons, John and his wife Melissa of Townsend, James and his wife Kathleen of Peabody, two daughters Patricia Breen of Litchfield NH and Cathy Moran of Peabody, her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eight siblings and her infant son William.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 10AM in St. Ann's Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers, will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the, American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.

LEAR, BARBARA - OF DANVERS- Barbara Ellen (Brown) Lear, 70, passed away on March 14, 2009. She was the wife of the late John Lear, with whom she shared 36 years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on May 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Lake) Brown. Barbara was a life long resident of Danvers and a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1957. She was employed as a clerk for the former Archer Kent in Danvers Square for over ten years prior to working at the CVS Pharmacy at the Danvers Plaza for seventeen years.
She is survived by two daughters, Anne-Marie DiSorbo and her husband John of Groveland and Cathy Porter of Danvers, two step-daughters, of whom she thought of as her own, Pamela Estes and her husband Stephen of Plaistow, NH and Corinne Lear of Haverhill, a sister Edna Mitchell of Canada, nine grandchildren, Daniel DiSorbo and his fiancé Sally Partington, Joseph and Robert DiSorbo, Amanda and Ryan Porter, Kristen Sola and her husband Dominic, Heather Fournier and her husband Scott and Jessie and Marc Cohen, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thurs., March 19, 2009 at 9AM in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst Hrs are Wed. 4-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
