A Mass of Christian Burial was said on Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Malden, for Paul E. Nolan. He was the husband of Elizabeth C. (Griffin) Nolan and the father of Paul W. Nolan of South Boston and Mashpee, Kevin J. Nolan of Wakefield and Brian J. Nolan of CA. He was the brother of John of Lexington, Frederick of TX, William of CA, Florence of CT and the late Thomas, Joseph, Francis, Rhoda, Margaret and Dorothy. He also leaves 4 grandchildren.

KENNETH J. PRESKENIS

A funeral mass will be said on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at the Gate of Heaven Church for Kenneth J. Preskenis, Ph.D. He was the husband of Elaine S. (Bloom) Preskenis. He was the son of Alice (Matuliaitis) of South Boston and the late Bronislaw J. Preskenis and the brother of Janet M. Pfeiffer of OH and the late Philip J. Preskenis. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

THERESA M. SMITH

A funeral mass was said on Saturday, November 30, 2002 at St. Brigid's Church for Theresa M. (Kelly) Smith. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Buddy Smith and the mother of Paul F. of Dorchester, Theresa M. Olson and Nancy A. Pickup, both of South Boston and Mary Beth Conley. She was the sister of Catherine Pryor of South Boston and James M. Kelly of Westwood. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

MARGARET A. SWIMM

A private interment service was held for Margaret A. Peggy Swimm. She was the mother of Peter Purcell and Norma Swimm. She was the sister of Mildred Kline, Donna Akusis, Stanley, Frances and Freddy Swimm. She also leaves 2 grandchildren.

HENRY DOHERTY

A funeral Mass was said Tuesday, January 28, 2003 in St. Augustine's Church for Henry M. Doherty. He was the husband of Rita (Fisher) Doherty; the father of Patricia A. Doherty of South Boston and Kathleen Capuzzo and her husband Paul of Norwell; the papa of Katie and Paul Capuzzo; the brother of Roseanna Corless of Quincy, the late Catherine Hornsby, Mary Cunningham, Margaret Curley, James, John and Vincent Doherty. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

WILLIAM FOYE

Private funeral services were held for William J. Billy Foye. He was the husband of Lillian P. Sis (Coombs); the father of Trish, Lia and Robert Foye and his wife Kristine; the grandfather of Brandon and Ria and the brother of Buzzy, Joannie, Dolly, Lester, Linda and the late Mary. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 24, 2003 for Richard S. Kiatos, formerly of South Boston. He was the husband of Margaret E. Peg (Rogers) Kiatos; the father of Richard P. Kiatos and his wife Dawn of NJ, Susan M. Sullivan and her husband Dan of FL and Christopher J. Kiatos and his wife Melissa of Saugus; the grandfather of Matthew and Benjamin Kiatos, Katherine and Daniel Sullivan and the brother of Gloria Hill of South Boston. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was said Friday, January 24, 2003 in St. Vincent's Church for James Llewellyn. He was the son of Patricia A. (Callanan) Llewellyn-Kaupp and the late John A. Llewellyn Jr.; the stepson of Kenneth E. Kaupp Jr.; the husband of Patricia (Silva) Llewellyn of Dorchester; the brother of John A. Llewellyn III of Roslindale, Margaret Hood of FL, Patricia Medeiras of Atttleboro, Debbie Urban of Weymouth, Donna Erickson of Westwood, Robert Llewellyn, Diane Shock both of Weymouth and Paul Llewellyn of South Boston; the stepfather of Charles, Kelly and Christine Silva and the stepgrandfather of Kayla. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

ALDONNA MASON

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date for Aldonna A. D. (Ivas) Mason, formerly of South Boston. She was the wife of Robert J. Mason; the mother of the late Robert P. Mason and the sister of Arline Carroll of Weymouth and Algert Ivas of ILL.

THERESE MURRAY

A funeral Mass was said Monday, January 27, 2003 in St. Brigid's Church for Therese M. (Allen) Murray. She was the wife of the late William D. Murray; the mother of Edward A. and Robert P. Murray both of South Boston, William D. Murray of Arlington and Paul T. Murray of CA, the grandmother of Rian and Shannon Murray both of Arlington and Marina Murray of South Boston; the sister of Fawney Arena, Anne Wieners, Claire McCarthy and James Allen all of South Boston, and the late Joseph Allen, Thomas Lefty Allen, Mary Sheehan and Rita Nave all of South Boston.

CATHERINE O'CONNOR

A funeral Mass was said recently in St. Mary's Church, Randolph for Catherine L. O'Connor of South Boston who died at New England Medical Center after suffering liver failure. Miss O'Connor was born in Boston, grew up and was educated in South Boston. She lived in Randolph for a few years before moving back to South Boston. She was a student at a hairdressing school. She leaves her mother Christina Layhe of South Boston; two sisters Jill Piscitello of Stoughton and Stephanie Wright of South Boston; her godparents Mary Barber and William Barber of Weymouth; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a niece. She was the daughter of the late William E. O'Connor

CHARLES SELTER

A funeral Mass was said Wednesday, January 29, 2003 in St. Augustine's Church for Charles E. Chuck Selter. He was the husband of Patricia J. (Munroe); the father of Chelese Selter of Quincy and James and his wife Mary Selter of Salem, NH; the brother of Elaine Bumpus of WA, Robert Selter of VA, James Selter and Dottie both of CA and the late Richard Selter of South Boston and Robert Marion of Bridgewatwer; the grandfather of Clarese Deibel of Quincy and James Selter Jr. of NH. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

HELEN SHEPHERD

A funeral Mass will be said Thursday, January 30, 2003 in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church for Helen (Banuslewicz) Shepherd. She was the wife of the late Charles franklin Shepherd; the mother of Susan Shepherd of Cambridge; the sister of John and Stanley Banuslewicz both of South Boston and the friend of Peter and Marcia Hams of Cambridge.

Private funeral services were held for Janet Jenny (Burnham) Baker. She was the wife of Arnold Baker; the daughter of the late Gertrude (Varley) Burnham and the aunt of Heather Ann and David P. Jones.

A funeral Mass was said Monday, April 7, 2003 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Braintree for James E. Barry. He was the husband of the late Frances L. (King); the father of James A. of Holbrook, Richard T. of Bellingham and Carolyn J. Gilliland of Weymouth; the brother of John Barry of South Boston and the longtime friend of Bill W.
