Ahern, Jr. of South Boston, Karen and her husband William Connor of South Boston, Nancy and her husband Anthony Ingemi of Abington; the grandfather of Sean and William Connor, Aimee Miller, Kerri Bernard, Nicholas and Kaitlyn Ingemi and the brother of the late William and John Ahern. He also leaves 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

JONAS BOGUSIS

A Mass of Christian Burial was said Wednesday, February 1, 2006 in St. Peter's Lithuanian Church for Jonas Bogusis. He was the husband of Frances (Wenskevitch); the father of Joseph Bogusis of NH and Anne Bogusis of South Boston and the brother of Ona and Albina of Lithuania. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.

JAMES CASEY

A funeral mass was said Saturday, January 28, 2006 in St. Brigid's Church for James D. Casey. He was the husband of Charlene (Stokinger) Casey; the son of the late Timothy and Edith Casey; the brother of Kathleen and Thomas Massey of Marshfield, Patricia Casey of Key Largo, FL, Elaine Casey of Hanover, Paul Casey of Boston, Joanne and Robert Macken of Islip, NY and the brother-in-law of Janet Ahern, Sharon Pacitti, Eddie Stokinger and the late James Stokinger. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

MARY CONNOLLY

A funeral mass was said Friday, January 27, 2006 in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Wakefield for Mary A. Connolly, formerly of South Boston. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (McCormack) Connolly; the sister of the late Catherine A. MacInnis, Joseph T., Margaret T., John P., Francis and Anne Connolly and the sister-in-law of Rose Connolly of Jamaica Plain. She leaves numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

ANTHONY FERENT

A funeral mass was said Saturday, January 28, 2006 in St. Brigid's Church for Anthony Paul Ferent, formerly of South Boston. He was the son of Alexander E. and Sandra K. (White) Ferent; the brother of Lynn and her husband Michael Wholley of Peabody, Wilhelmina and her husband John Connolly of Weymouth, John and his wife Kathy Ferent of South Boston, Kevin and his wife Marie Ferent of Quincy, Edward and his wife Jennifer Ferent of South Boston and Robert Ferent of South Boston and the uncle of Olivia and Matthew Wholley, Krista and Kevin Ferent and Cameron Ferent.

A funeral mass was said Thursday, February 2, 2006 in St. Brigid's Church for James J. Horan. He was the husband of the late Catherine E. (Lang); the father of Mary H. George and husband Douglas of West Springfield, NH, and Catherine A. Morrison of Squantum; the grandfather of Douglas and Stephen George, Kelly and Michael Morrison; the great grandfather of Thomas and Anna George and Michael Morrison, Jr. and the brother of Helen Joyce of South Boston

A funeral mass was said Wednesday, February 1, 2006 in St. Thecla Church, North Pembroke for Robert J. Kennedy, Jr. He was the son of Robert J. Kennedy of Pembroke and the late Rose-Marie (Wesley) Kennedy; the brother of Joseph P. Kennedy of Pembroke and South Boston, Carol J. Colantuone of Kingston and Deidre A, Kennedy of Columbus, OH and the nephew of Richard and Joy (Kennedy) Cox of Quincy.

JADWIGA KURCEWICZ

A funeral mass was said Tuesday, January 31, 2006 in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church for Jadwiga (Grygorcewicz) Kurcewicz. She was the wife of Joseph and the mother of Jessie McNulty, Teresa Gillard and Leon Kurcewicz. She also leaves 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

ALGIS LEONAVICIUS

A Mass of Christian Burial was said Saturday, January 28, 2006 in St. Peter's Lithuanian Church for Algis Leonavicius. He was the husband of the late Mary (Cox); the father of Vytis; the brother of Jade Kokol, Jouzas, Zeonas, Leonas Leonavicius and the late Sofija Markin and the son of the late Kazimeras and Stanislava. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was said Thursday, January 26, 2006 in the Marian Manor Chapel for Ellen R. (Sheehan) McAveeney. She was the wife of the late James A. McAveeney and the sister of Rose McCarron of CA, the late Frances Hennessey, mary Tracey, Margaret DeMont, Alice, John, James and Joseph Sheehan. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

DOUGLAS MERLIN

A Prayer Service was held Thursday, February 2, 2006 for Douglas A. Sonny Merlin. He was the husband of Anna (Bradford); the father of Douglas B. Merlin of South Boston, Denise Shea of Townsend and Donna Merlin of Baltimore, MD and the brother of Ruth Dupont, Dorothy Doucette, Freda Hodgdon, Louise Giannone and the late James Merlin. He also leaves his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

STEVEN SHEDD

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family for Steven Joseph Shedd, formerly of South Boston. He was the husband of Peggy Mullen; the son of Mary Shedd and the late Robert Shedd; the father of Robert Matthew Shedd and Ann Margaret Shedd and the brother of Catherine Sarno, Joan O'Connell, Christine Shedd-Nixon, Ron Shedd and Carol Shedd-Moses.

KEVIN WARD

A Prayer Service was held Friday, January 27, 2006 for Kevin Ward. He was the father of Michelle; the son of Sidney Ward and the late Helen (Ostiguy) and the brother of 3 sisters, 3 brothers and the late Shawn Ward. He also leaves 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

DANIEL FOLEY

A funeral mass was said Saturday, February 11, 2006 in Gate of Heaven Church for Daniel T. Foley, formerly of South Boston. He was the father of Meaghan, patrick and Lauren Foley all of Middleboro; the son of Patricia A. (Gilboy) Foley of Rockland and the late Coleman F. Foley; the brother of Maureen H. Curran and her husband Peter of Weymouth and the late Edward F. and George C. Foley and the former husband of Amy (Sylva). He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.

JOHN GREALISH

A funeral mass was said Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in St. Monica's Church for John J. Jack Grealish, formerly of South Boston. He was the husband of Barbara (Tilton) Grealish; the son of the late Patrick and Katherine Grealish of Rosmuc, County Galway; the father of Kevin Grealish of CT, Kathleen Monahan and Karen Murphy of Kingston; the brother of Ann Halloran and her husband Patrick of Quincy, Michael Grealish of Dorchester, James Grealish of Medford, Mary Bella-fontaine of Watertown, William Grealish of Boston and the late Edward Grealish and the grandfather of Aidan Grealish, Hanna and Ceira Monahan.

BARBARA HERMAN

A memorial service was held Saturday, February 11, 2006 in Old South Church for Barbara (Wermeyer) Herman. She was the wife of Joanne A. Herman. She leaves her father-in-law Henry Herman, Jr. of Chester, CT, brother-in-law Glenn Herman and his wife Linda, their daughter Melanie and son Matthew all of Ivoryton, CT. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Thelma (Williams) Wermeyer of Fort Thomas, KY

ANNA JACKIEWICZ

Private interment services were held for Anna Jackiewicz. She was the wife of the late John S.; the mother of Veronica Pickren, Irene Shankweiler and Marion Shankweiler all of South Boston; the grandmother of Janice Coronity and her husband John and the great grandmother of Nicholas and Amy.

MARY KEATING-DERANY

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Quincy Point Congregational Church for Mary (Zahar) Keating-Derany. She was the mother of Emily Elmore of Weymouth, Sharon Price and her husband William of Weymouth, Maxine Bellew of Southboro, Dianne Bertocchi of Quincy, Leslie McGeever and her husband Edward of South Boston and Denise Keating of South Boston and the sister of Zanab Zahar of Malden, George Zahar of Beaumont, TX, Salim Zahar of Tewksbury, Sarah Zahar of Wakefield and the late Rose Magoulas. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

PAUL MANNING

A funeral mass was said Tuesday, February 14, 2006 in St. Gregorys Church for Paul E. Manning. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth E. (Woodford); the father of Paul G. Manning of Dorchester, Terry Spencer of South Boston and Jeanne Kelley of Milton; the grandfather of Jacqueline and William Spencer, Paul Manning and Samuel Kelley and the brother of the late Jerry, Ernie, Dr. Louis, Robert Manning, Gertrude, Helen Whittaker and Bella Geraughty. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
