Jose Chamarczuk
April 28, 1939 - February 27, 2007

WORCESTER - Jose Chamarczuk, 67, former longtime Auburn resident died Wednesday in his home after an illness.
He is survived by his two children, Helene Chadwick, of Sutton and Christian Chamarczuk, of Warwick, RI, 2 granddaughters, he is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Roberto and Irene Chamarczuk of Buenos Aires, Argentina as well as relatives in the Worcester area.
His wife Maria (Della Porta) Chamarczuk, predeceased him.
He was born in Argentina, son of the late Casimiro and Bruna (Holub) Chamarczuk, and immigrated to the US in 1963.
Mr. Chamarczuk was a driver for UPS in Shrewsbury for many years, retiring in 2000.
He enjoyed deep sea fishing and spending time with his granddaughters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4-6 PM Sunday in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Monday in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.

Colleen M. (Carrigan) Chambers
November 15, 1958 - January 12, 2007

SHREWSBURY - Colleen M. (Carrigan) Chambers, 48, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Pittsfield, MA died Friday night January 12th in her home surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer.

She leaves her best friend and devoted husband, of 29 years, Paul D. Chambers and their two daughters, Lori and Emily Chambers of Shrewsbury; her parents, William and Carol (O'Connor) Carrigan of Pittsfield; four caring and supportive sisters, Lisa Kirchner of Londonderry, NH, Kathy Carrigan of Vancouver, WA, Laurie Connor and Susan Doner both of Pittsfield, a brother, Patrick Carrigan of Pittsfield; along with all their families, several loving nieces and nephews and many close friends. She is predeceased by two brothers, Michael and William Carrigan.

Colleen graduated with the class of 1977 from Saint Joseph High School in Pittsfield. She was a strong fighter as well as a loving and caring mother, wife, sister, and friend who always enjoyed being in the company of others. She lit up the room with her smile and consistently made the best she could out of everyday.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Colleen' s family on Wednesday, January 17th from 5-8 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Lois M. (Jordan) Charron
March 24, 2007

AUBURN, MA - Lois M. (Jordan) Charron, 83, formerly of Leicester St., died Saturday March 24th in West Chester, OH, where she moved in 1999.

She leaves her twin daughters, Janet Rabidou of Auburn and Janice Hull of Cincinnati, OH; 4 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her brothers, Earl Jordan of Millbury, Norman Jordan of Worcester, and sisters, Laura Drown of Vermont, Beverly Jordan of Worcester, and her former husband, Richard J. Charron.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred W. and Lillian M. (Giddings) Jordan, and lived many years in Auburn.

Mrs. Charron had worked as a quality control supervisor for the Wright Machine Company, Worcester for 15 years before retiring.

She enjoyed, bowling, bingo and loved the senior citizens center both in Millbury and Springdale Ohio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, April 3rd from 6-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 4th from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Following cremation, burial in Hope Cemetery, Worcester will be private.

GLADYS V. (BOURBEAU) CLAPP
May 28, 1924 - February 2, 2007

WORCESTER/SHREWSBURY - Gladys V. (Bourbeau) Clapp, 82, of Worcester, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Friday, February 2nd in the Radius Healthcare in Worcester after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 37 years, John H. Clapp; two daughters, Eileen M. Zelenak and her husband, William of Millbury and Elaine A. Triola and her husband, Lucian of Worcester; a son-in-law, Ernest T. Bishop of Shrewsbury; a sister, Mildred Merrill of Holden; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Gladys was predeceased by a daughter and a granddaughter, Kathleen and Shannon Bishop; three brothers and one sister.

Gladys was born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury, daughter of the late Cyrille and Emma M. (Progin) Bourbeau. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School. At one time, Gladys and her husband lived in Florida for 10 years before returning back to Massachusetts several years ago.

Mrs. Clapp had worked as a claims processor for State Mutual Insurance Company in Worcester for over 20 years before she retired.

Gladys's funeral and visiting hours will be private and held on Monday, February 5th in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.

Vivian Clark
April 21, 1926 - March 30, 2006

AUBURN, MA - Vivian S. (Bibeau) Clark 79 of 28B Timrod Dr. Worcester died peacefully in her daughter's home, on Thursday, March 30th, after a brief illness.

Her beloved husband, Fred Clark Jr. died in 1980.

She leaves her son, Fred E. Clark, III of Auburn; her daughter, Pamela J. Paquette of Auburn; a brother, Robert W. Bibeau of North Grafton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Norman Bibeau, of Vero Beach FL., and her first husband Arthur A. Paquette, of N. Grafton.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank L. and Eva M. (Lamoureux) Bibeau and lived there all of her life. She attended Commerce High School and Becker Junior College.

Mrs. Clark worked for 10 years in the mail center for the TJX Distribution Center in Worcester, retiring in 1990. She also had worked for the former Denholm & McKay store in Worcester.

Vivian loved to travel and cruise and especially enjoyed the time she spent with friends and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, April 2nd from 5-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3rd at 11 AM in the funeral home followed by burial in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester.

MILDRED AVILLA CLARKSON
February 14, 1915 - March 19, 2006

CHARLTON - Mildred Avilla (Magune) McSheehy Clarkson, 91, a resident of the Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center, and formerly of Exeter Drive, Auburn died Sunday, March 19th at the home, where she has resided for 2 years.

She was born in Worcester, February 14, 1915, the daughter of Dr. Frank L. and Mildred (Richards) Magune. One of four children, she was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Curtis of Worcester, and her two brothers, Robert Magune of Florida and Francis "Jack" Magune of Worcester.

She leaves her four children, Patricia Hurley of Worcester, MA Lloyd Carter McSheehy of Orange Park, FL., Bruce R. McSheehy of Nelson, NH and Meredith B. Henderson of Holden, MA. She also leaves seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Villa graduated from Classical High School, Worcester and Lasell Junior College, Newton.

She married Thomas Clarkson in 1955 and moved her family to Auburn where she resided until moving to Charlton. Thomas died in 1986.

She took special delight in her family. Villa many hobbies included music, movies, flea markets, traveling and dining out. She was also and avid reader. Her special interest was as a collector and dealer of movie memorabilia, focusing on Clara Bow, "The It Girl", star of silent films and early talkies.

Villa will be dearly missed by her family and fondly remembered by her many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, March 22nd from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home; 91 Central St., Auburn. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23rd at 10 AM in the Nicholls Chapel of the Masonic Home, 88 Masonic Home Rd., and Charlton. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.

Russell J. Cleary
May 19, 1916 - December 10, 2005

Auburn - Russell J. Cleary, 89, son of the late Ignatius and Ella Cleary, passed away on Saturday morning.

He was born in Auburn, MA on May 19, 1916. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy LaBarge, and his daughter, Nancy LeBreton.

Survived by his sister, Eleanor Perron, and his son, Robert J. Cleary, he also leaves five grandchildren: Kevin LeBreton, Mark LeBreton, Nancy Clark, Deborah Grady, and Brian LeBreton, and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cleary worked at Leland & Gifford, Crompton & Knowles, and had been an Enforcement Officer for Marine & Recreational Vehicles. He served as president of, and chaired many committees at, the Auburn Sportsman's Club. He also served as a delegate to the Worcester County League of Sportsman's and Mass Council of Sportsman's Clubs. He was president of Marine and Recreational Vehicles Union, and was their delegate to C.O.P.S. He was a former member of the Council on Aging, a Committee Member and Explorer Advisor for Post 53, and also served as Assistant Commissioner for Council.

Mr. Cleary was a past member of the Auburn Democratic Committee and received the Democrat of the Year Achievement Award. He also received an award from the Secretary of State for voting in every election for over fifty years. He loved to hunt and fish, and he was also an avid card player, running pitch and cribbage parties at the Lorraine Gleick Nordgren Senior Center.

It is his wish that there be no funeral or calling hours. A Graveside Service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lorraine Gleick Nordgren Senior Center, 4 Goddard Drive, Auburn, MA 01501.

Robert Cole, Esq.
November 23, 2005

SHREWSBURY - Robert Athy Cole, Esquire, 57, of Park Grove Lane, Shrewsbury died Wednesday, November 23rd in his home after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Pamela (Gordon) Cole; two daughters, Sarah Jane Cole Camerer and her husband, Ernest D. Camerer of Boston and Elizabeth Cole Stapp, Esquire and her husband, Brion A. Stapp of Eire, Colorado; his father, Robert B. Cole of West Boylston; a sister, Susan B. Foley and her husband, Thomas Foley of Sterling; one granddaughter, Madeline Sarah Stapp of Eire, Colorado; and a niece and four nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy Jane (Horgan) Cole, and a sister, Nancy Jane Cole.

Mr. Cole was born in Holden and lived in Shrewsbury for over 50 years. He graduated from Saint John's High School in 1966. He then earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in 1970. He received his Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Assumption College in Worcester in 1972. Later, he received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Massachusetts College of Law. He also completed post- graduate work at Boston University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Mr. Cole had started out his professional career as Clinical Psychologist. However, his passion for architecture led him to the field of real estate design and development, during which time he developed Colonial Drive and Park Grove Farms, both in Shrewsbury. Other notable projects included Eastern Point Condominiums, Quinsigamond Plaza, and the refurbishment of several prominent buildings in Shrewsbury. While continuing his career in real estate development, Mr. Cole was a solo law practioner specializing in Real Estate Litigation and Bankruptcy Law.

His was a member of Saint Mary's Parish, and served as a member of the Open Space Planning Committee for the town of Shrewsbury for many years. He was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and was admitted to practice in The United States Court of Appeals, First Circuit, The United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts, and The Supreme Judicial Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Cole family on Sunday, November 27th from 2-5 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. A funeral Mass for Robert will be celebrated on Monday at 11 A.M. in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.

GEORGIA M. (GRIGGS) COLLETTE
May 22, 1944 - June 1, 2007

AUBURN, MA - Georgia M. (Griggs) Collette, 63, of Washington St., passed away Friday, June 1st in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, surrounded by her loving family.

Georgia was the beloved wife of Henry R. Collette. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage on May 5th.

She also leaves her three daughters, Lori Clinton of Leicester, Deirdre Leal and her husband Dennis of Scottsdale, AZ, and Justine Lavallee and her husband James of Auburn; her sister, Frances Knox of Worcester; her seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard H. Collette, her grandson, Matthew P. Leal, and by her siblings, Robert and George Grigss, and Eleanor Reynolds.

She was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn. She attended David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School, Worcester.

A longtime homemaker, Mrs. Collette enjoyed creating ceramics, and loved to ride with her husband on his Harley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, June 4th from 5-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM in the funeral home, followed by burial in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.

Lee A. Collier
February 13, 1948 - August 21, 2006

WORCESTER / SHREWSBURY - Lee A. Collier, 58, of Worcester, formerly of Shrewsbury died Monday, August 21st in his home.

He leaves his wife, Theresa A. (Lavoie) Collier; a son, Kenneth G. Collier of Shrewsbury and a daughter, Renee C. Collier of Worcester; a sister, Claire Lennerton of Beverly Hills, Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Lee was born in Boston, the son of the late Kenneth L. and Gladys (Knowlton) Collier. He graduated from Lynn English High School in 1966 and received his Certificate from Sylvania Technical School.

Mr. Collier had been employed for several years as a Network Engineer.

He was an amateur radio operator and a member of Saint Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lee's family on Friday, August 25th from 10-11 A.M. with a prayer service to begin at 11 A.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial donations in Lee's memory can be made to The Christian Children's Fund, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, Virginia 23294.

LINDA E. (NIELSON) COLLINS
December 10, 1937 - May 26, 2007

SHREWSBURY - Linda E. (Nielson) Collins, 69, of Shrewsbury, died Saturday, May 26th in her home, surrounded by her family.

She leaves her husband of 48 years, John R. Collins; her daughters, Kerry M. Collins DiBuono and her husband, Phillip of Marlborough; and Kristine E. Kelley and her husband, Michael of Shrewsbury; also survived by two grandchildren Ryan P. and Thomas "TJ" Kelley of Shrewsbury and many friends.

Mrs. Collins was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Leonard and Alvida (Swift) Nielson and had lived in Shrewsbury for the past 40 years. She graduated from New Bedford High School.

Linda had worked as a secretary for Young's Travel Service for 5 years before she retired. Previously she had worked as a Supervisor at New England Telephone Company. For 30 years Linda enjoyed being the scoring chairman for the PGA events at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton. Linda loved sports, especially basketball and when her favorite Duke Basketball Team was on television her world came to a complete halt to watch them.

The Collins family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses on the Bone Marrow Unit and the Cancer Clinic at UMass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus for all their help, dedication and support that they showed their family during Linda's illness.
