William F. Esip. Jr.
May 19, 1922 - June 17, 2007

AUBURN, MA - William F. Esip. Jr., 85, died Sunday, June 17th at home following a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Valerie R. (Beaudet) Esip; his daughter, Patricia Ann McGrath and her husband David of South Grafton; two grandchildren, Alyssa A. McGrath of Worcester and Jeffrey McGrath and his wife Sara of South Grafton; a sister, Barbara A. Chenard and her husband Maurice of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son William F. Esip, III, and his daughter Kathleen Ann Esip.

He was a graduated of both Saint John's Grammar School and Saint John's High School, then both in Worcester, as well as the College of the Holy Cross and Suffolk University School of Law. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and was a past member of the Worcester County and Massachusetts Bar Associations. He was also a member of the Holy Cross Club of Worcester, the Golden Knights at Holy Cross, and the Fifty Year Club at Suffolk University.

As a veteran of World War II, he served with the US Army Air Forces. He was a member of the American Legion and Saint Joseph's Parish, Auburn. Mr. Esip retired from the Travelers Insurance Company in Worcester, where he was the Assistant Claims Manager. He also served as Assistant Clerk Magistrate of the Worcester Central District Court.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, June 19th from 5-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. His funeral will be held on Wendesday, June 20ht from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 10 AM in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.

Donald W. Ethier
March 16, 1916 - June 25, 2007

AUBURN, MA - Donald W. Ethier, 91, formerly of Malvern Rd., died Monday, June 25th in the Life Care Center of Auburn.

His wife of 57 years, Lora E. (LaPrad) Ethier died in 1996.

He leaves his three children, Richard D. Ethier and his wife Sheila of Cherry Valley, Linda M. Grady Backholm and her husband Philip of Northborough, and Kenneth R. Ethier and his wife Ellen of Auburn; seven grandsons, a granddaughter, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Ethier, and his sister Loretta Gervais. He was born in Auburn, son of the late Frank and Ida (Croteau) Ethier and was a life-long Auburn resident. He attended Auburn elementary school and graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester.

Mr. Ethier worked as a machinist for the Norton Company in Worcester for more than 40 years, retiring in 1980. He was a founding member of North American Martyrs' Church, where he served as an usher and collector for many years. He was a former member of the Auburn Lodge of Elks.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Donald's family on Thursday morning, June 28th from 9-10:30 at Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. His funeral will follow with a Mass celebrated at 11 AM in North American Martyrs' Church, 8 Wyoma Dr., Auburn. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Helen M. (Haddad) Faddoul
July 12, 2006

SHREWSBURY - Helen M. (Haddad) Faddoul, of 115 Boston Turnpike, and formerly of St. James Rd., died Wednesday, July 12th in the St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after a short illness.

Her husband, Joseph P. Faddoul died in 1992.

She leaves a daughter, Mary E. Brough of Marlborough; a son, Edmund J. Faddoul of Dennisport; a nephew, Rev. John D. Thomas of Worcester; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Joseph Haddad and the Rev. Msgr. Edmund G. Haddad, and her two sisters, Eugenie Thomas and Alice Haddad.

She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Elias F. and Isabel (Ashkar) Faddoul. She graduated from the former High School of Commerce in 1933 as well as the former Saint Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1936.

Mrs. Faddoul worked as a registered nurse at the St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester for many years. In her later years, she worked along with her husband in the family business, J.P. Faddoul Company, in Shrewsbury. Helen will always be remembered as a loving mother, devoted grandmother and a cherished sister and aunt. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, July 14th from 5-8 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 15th at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury. Burial in the family lot will follow in Mouuntain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.

Donald Paul Fairbanks
December 13, 1933 - October 13, 2006

WORCESTER - Donald Paul Fairbanks, 72, of Worcester, died peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2006 in his home where he was born and raised.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Starrett) Fairbanks; two daughters, Kelly Champagne and her husband Andy of Holden, and Erica Bemis and her husband Russell of Worcester; a grandson Andrew Jr... He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends. Paul was predeceased in death by two brothers, Herbert Jr. and Robert.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Herbert W. Fairbanks, Sr. and Grace (Delahanty) on December 13, 1933. Paul graduated from Commerce High School in 1954 and later attended Worcester Junior College with a major in Electrical Engineering.

He was honorably discharged from service in 1958 as a radar operator for light weapons infantry in the United States Army Reserves. He served in Korea, and was an honor guard at Arlington National Cemetery. He retired in 2001 as an agent of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Social Services in both the Fitchburg and Worcester offices.

He was a long standing officer of the Morning Star Lodge of Mason, providing services as a master Mason, also as a chaplain of the Isaiah Thomas Lodge for many years.

Paul interests included astronomy, history, photography, cartooning, computers, model ship building, and collecting antique postcards. He enjoyed aviation, eventually becoming a private pilot and serving with the Civil Air Patrol for many years. He was also largely influenced by Native American studies.

Paul will be remembered as a kind-hearted, free thinking spirit with a quiet wisdom. He had an innate ability to comprehend with out judgment, counsel without conceit, and comfort others by simply paying attention.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Paul's family on Monday, October 16th from 5-8 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Members of the Morning Star Lodge will be performing their ritual during calling hours. His funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 17th at 12:30 P.M. in the funeral home. After cremation, burial will be private.

Memorial contributions in Paul's name can be made to the American Liver Foundation, 75, Maiden Lane, Suite 603, New York, NY 10038 or to the Masonic Learning Center, P.O. Box 519, Lexington, MA 02420.

Beverly J. (Sampson) Falk
March 11, 1936 - May 18, 2006

SHREWSBURY - Beverly J. (Sampson) Falk, 70, of 145 Worthington Ave, died Thursday, May 18th in her home, after a long battle with cancer.

She leaves her husband of 50 years, Carl R. Falk, Jr.; her two sons, William R. Falk of Shrewsbury and Carl R. Falk, III of Worcester; her two sisters, Joyce Bergman and Connie Southworth, both of Shrewsbury; her four brothers, George Sampson of Maine and Florida, Dennis Sampson and William Smith, both of Worcester, Douglas Sampson of Shrewsbury; as well as many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister Priscilla Mara and her brother, Bradford Smith.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George L. and Beatrice N. (Garganigo) Sampson and lived here for most of her life. She attended Shrewsbury Schools and graduated from Ascension Catholic High School, Worcester.

Mrs. Falk retired in 1999 from the Glavin Regional Center in Shrewsbury, where she had worked for 20 years as a mental retardation assistant. Previously, she had worked as a nursing assistant at the Masonic Home in Shrewsbury until its closing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury on Sunday, May 21st from 5-7 PM. Her funeral will be celebrated on Monday, May 22nd at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. CATHERINE F. (NAREL) FANEUFF
June 19, 1911 - September 26, 2007

AUBURN, MA - Catherine Florence (Narel) Faneuff, 96, a long-time resident of Auburn died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2007 at Life Care of Auburn.
She leaves two sons Roy W. of North Oxford and Ronald R. and his wife Eileen of Auburn. She leaves 7 grandchildren, Denise of Worcester, Steven of Auburn, Jeffrey of Ashland, William of Hampden, Kenneth of Lakeland, Florida and Keith of Rindge, New Hampshire and Brian, of Auburn, ME 10 great grandchildren, Nick, Angie, Kyle, Sarah, Benjamin, Lucas and Christopher, Claire, Madison, and Roderick. She was predeceased by her husband Walter O. in 1969, her daughter Shirley Mardirosian in 1993, her parents Louis and Catherine (Urbanowski) Narel and her brother Frankie Narel.
Katie was born on June 19th, 1911 in Webster, MA. She graduated from Catholic High School. She married Walter in 1933 and moved to his family farm in Auburn. She worked hard on the farm and was lovingly known as "the tomato lady" selling vegetables in town. After the farm was sold and her husband died she worked as a sales clerk in downtown Worcester department stores. When her son moved back to Auburn she easily took to helping in raising and caring for two of her grandchildren.
Family was everything to Katie. She loved holiday meals at her home and playing with the children, especially giving extra treats. She had a lot of faith in God and was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She will be missed dearly, especially her wonderful sense of humor and her old adages and words of wisdom.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October Ist from 5 to 8 pm in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Katie's Funeral will be held Tuesday from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 10 am in St. Joseph's Church, 189 North Oxford Street, Auburn. She will then be laid to rest in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.

Robert D. Faucher
March 26, 1927 - May 18, 2007

NORTHBOROUGH - Robert Faucher, 80, of West Main St., died Friday, May 18th in the Coleman House, Northborough, after an illness.

He leaves his loving wife of 36 years, Nancy E. (Beckwith) Faucher; six children, 15 grandchildren, and a great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Antoinette (Galipeau) Faucher, and by two brothers and two sisters. He was born in Worcester and has lived in Northborough for many years. A proud veteran of World War II and the Korean War, Mr. Faucher served in the US Marine Corps. Mr. Faucher owned and operated a Pepperidge Farm distributorship in the Shrewsbury area, and was awarded it Top Salesman of the Country Award in the 1960's.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, May 21st in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury from 4-7 PM. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 AM in Saint Joseph's Church, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northborough Senior Center.

George Ernest Faust
September 6, 1934 - April 26, 2007

Auburn - George E. Faust, 72 of 26 Laurel St, died Thursday in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester, after a long battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully with his family nearby.
He is survived by his children; Andrew G. Faust of Oxford, Dianne M. Heinrich and her husband David, of Charlton, Janine L. Ewings, and Christine M. McNally and her husband Dale, both of Auburn, he leaves his 11 adoring grandchildren; Dustin, Sean, Andrew, and Alex Heinrich, Christopher and Amanda Ewings, Rachael and Stephanie Faust, and Danielle, Shannon and Shayne McNally. He also leaves his former spouse and caregiver Anne Marie Faust (Maple) as well as his long time companion Linda Massey. He is survived by two sisters; Theresa Adams of Shrewsbury, Jacqueline Melanson of Sandwich, and several nieces and nephews.
A sister, Jean Leone predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Ernest and Lillian (LeMay) Faust; he was educated in Worcester schools. He is a graduate of Holy Name High School.
Mr. Faust was an Insurance Broker and co-founder of Northeast Insurance Agency in Auburn. He had previously worked for many years as a broker for All-State Insurance Co.
He is a member of the Auburn Elks, and the Greendale Retired Men's Club, and its golf league. He was a member of Saint Joseph's Church.
He enjoyed friends, golf, and the Red Sox.
He had a passion for his grandchildren and loved their August weekends spent at Hampton Beach.

Dorothy L. (Consiglio) Feinen
February 27, 1924 - May 7, 2006

SHREWSBURY - Dorothy L. (Consiglio) Feinen, 82, of Shrewsbury died Sunday, May 7th in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus after an illness.

She leaves a son, Richard J. Feinen of Lunenburg; a daughter, Candace A. Longo of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Maurice Consiglio of Shrewsbury, and Lawrence Consiglio of Connecticut and Florida; two sisters, Sophie Shea of Shrewsbury and Mary Kunigonis of Worcester; also survived by two grandchildren, Nicole A. Longo and Will R. Feinen and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Peter Consiglio and two sisters, Isabelle Stearns and Lena Grilla.

Mrs. Feinen was born in Worcester daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (Mastropasqua) Consiglio and had lived in Shrewsbury for the past 35 years.

Dorothy had worked as a waitress for many years at the former Ground Round in Shrewsbury before she retired.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dorothy's family on Wednesday, May 10th from 4-7 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 11th at 10 A.M. in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. MARY E. (KELLY) FERGUSON
August 8, 1912 - August 31, 2007

Northborough - Mary E. (Kelly) Ferguson, 95, a resident of Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing facility in Northborough and formerly of Shrewsbury, MA, died Friday August 31.
Her husband, William L. Ferguson died in 1993. She is survived by her son, Brian J. Ferguson of Swansea, and her daughter and her husband, Jean M. Sordillo and Donald A. Sordillo of Litchfield, NH.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late James P. Kelly and Mary (Scales) Kelly and graduated from South High School in 1929 and Becker Business School, now Becker College.
Until her retirement, Mrs. Ferguson was the Medical Librarian at Worcester State Hospital. Prior to that she was the administrative assistant to the Superintendent of the Hospital. She began working at the hospital in 1930.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church for more than 50 years. She was a former member of the Shrewsbury Historical Association; she served on the Historic District Commission, and had been a member of Old Sturbridge Village and Tower Hill Botanical Garden for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 5-7 PM Tuesday in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street. Her funeral will be held Wednesday from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at10 AM Wednesday in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

VIRGINIA L. (MOYNAGH) FINNERAN
February 20, 1926 - April 11, 2007

SHREWSBURY - Virginia L. (Moynagh) Finneran, 81, of Shrewsbury, died Wednesday, April 11th in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.

Her husband, John M. Finneran died in 1978. She leaves her children, Daniel J. Finneran and his wife, Christine Finneran of Shrewsbury; Judith M. Sousa and her husband, Dr. Carl M. Sousa of Medway, Jane M. Jolly and her husband, Keith R. Jolly of Worcester, Kelly A. Finneran of Shrewsbury with whom she lived and David M. Finneran and his partner, Stephen J. Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Lillian Peloquin of Spencer and a brother, Richard Moynagh of Worcester; also survived by 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew, Timothy, Patrick, John and Kate and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and Paul Moynagh and two sisters, Dorothy Moberg and Kathleen Lyden.

Virginia was born in North Brookfield, daughter of the late James and Lillian (Bousquet) Moynagh and had lived in Shrewsbury for over 45 years. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. After marrying John in 1949, she stayed at home to raise their five children. After they went off to college, she worked for several years for the former Calvert's Department Store before she retired.

She was a member of Saint Mary's Parish and enjoyed spending time at the Shrewsbury Senior Center where she participated in the line dancing sessions there. She also was a wonderful bowler and loved to travel.

Virginia's most precious times though were being surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Virginia's family on Sunday, April 15th from 2-5 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 16th at 10 A.M. in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
