SERAFINO W. "FIFFY" PAOLINI
October 13, 1913 - September 16, 2006

SHREWSBURY - Serafino W. "Fiffy" Paolini, 92, of Shrewsbury, died Friday, September 15th in Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 22 years, Doris (Meunier) Abair Paolini; a son, Kenneth Paolini of Boston; 3 step-children, Judith Gorin and her husband, James of Wayland, Robert Abair and his wife, Mary of Shrewsbury and Nancy Kielbasa and her husband Joseph, Jr. of Westfield; a brother, Ernest Paolini of Hopkinton and 5 sisters, Jean Trotta, and Margarite Santora, both of Milford, Mary LaPlante of Tennessee, Amena Paolini of Attleboro and Gloria, wife of Denis White of Centerville; one granddaughter, Kendall Nelson of Atlanta, Georgia, 4 step-granddaughters, 2 step-grandsons and 8 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anne (Yulenski) Paolini who died in 1980, and his daughter, Jeanne Gauthier on New Hampshire in 2002; 3 bothers, Rocco, Guido and Henry Paolini and 3 sisters, Bernice Loncar, Rose Ladd and Ida Jaskulka.

He was born in Westborough, son of the late Adolf and Minnie (Moretti) Paolini and had lived in North Grafton for many years before moving to Southgate in Shrewsbury 3 years ago. He graduated from Westborough School System.

Mr. Paolini was employed for 37 years at Bay State Abrasives as a Supervisor of the Mix Department.

He was a member of Saint Anne's Parish, Friends of the Senior Center, Senior Men's Club, The Frohsinn Club all of Shrewsbury, also the Westboro Fish and Game and the John Boyle Council # 85, Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Paolini played the drums in his own band known as "Fiffy and the Boys" he loved music, dancing, gardening, bowling and was an avid fisherman. He was known as beloved pepere to many great grandchildren.

He lived a long and happy life and will be missed by so many.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Serafino's family on Monday, September 18th from 4-8 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 19th at 10 A.M. in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Saint Luke's Cemetery, Westborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Nazareth Boy's Home, 77 Mulberry Street, Leicester, MA 01524.

BERNICE E. (TANSEY) PARKER
September 20, 1926 - October 12, 2007

WESTBORO - Bernice E. (Tansey) Parker, 81, former long time resident of Hudson, died on Friday, October 12th at Westboro Healthcare Center in Westboro, after a period of declining health.

Bernice is survived by her husband of 61 years, James E. Parker, Jr; two sons, Richard W. Parker and his wife, Dorothy of Hudson and Gary S. Parker and his wife, Holly of North Grafton; 4 grandchildren, Kristine Sherman of Hudson, Renee Smigliani of Grafton, Julie Parker of Ohio and Ryan Parker of Sterling: 6 grandchildren and a brother, Roger Tansey of Concord, New Hampshire

Mrs. Parker was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Ralph and Nellie (Cave) Tansey. She graduated from Hudson High School with the class of 1944.

Bernice was employed at Victory Plastics in Hudson during World War II. She later was a long time volunteer at both Marlboro Hospital and Epson Manor Nursing Home in Epson, New Hampshire. One of her passion in life was music she was an active member of the Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women signers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performances.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hudson.

Funeral and burial services for Mrs. Parker will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory can be made to Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury is assisting the Parker family with arrangements.

Evagelos "Angelo" "Vageli" V. Pashos
April 4, 1985 - September 24, 2006

SHREWSBURY - Evagelos "Angelo" "Vageli" V. Pashos, 21, of Shrewsbury, was tragically killed in a car accident, he was hit by a drunk driver Sunday, September 24th in Northborough.

He leaves his parents, Vasili and Lisa Pashos of Shrewsbury who both loved him very much and did everything for him. He also leaves two sisters who loved their brother more than life and looked up to him as their best friend, Lina 18, and Christina, 16, both of Shrewsbury. He also leaves 18 first cousins in Worcester, New York and in Greece; his grandparents of Worcester and Greece; aunts, uncles and many many friends who loved him dearly.

Angelo was born in Worcester on April 4, 1985. Growing up he enjoyed playing soccer, and most importantly he loved music. His passion of music gave him the opportunity to be a DJ in Boston and Worcester.

He graduated from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury in 2003 with honors. He then continued his education at Suffolk University where he would have graduated in 2007. He majored in political science and aspired to become a successful lawyer. While attending college Angelo also worked at his family owned pizza restaurant.

Angelo had many dreams and aspirations, but his life was cut short by a drunk driver. He was handsome young man with a beautiful smile and big loving eyes that warmed your heart; he lit up the entire room. He will be missed by those who loved and knew him, forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Angelo's family on Wednesday, September 27th from 5-8 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. A Trisagion service will be held during calling hours. Funeral services for Angelo will be held on Thursday, September 28th at 10 A.M. in Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester. Burial will take place in the family lot in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral Family Center, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609.

JOSEPH B. PASKAVITZ
March 21, 1915 - October 30, 2007

WORCESTER - Joseph B. Paskavitz, 92 of Radius Health Care Center of Worcester, a World War II veteran and US Steel wire drawer died peacefully Tuesday in the presence of his daughter Eleanor.
He leaves his wife of 69 years, Mary A. (Sakalauskas) Paskavitz; two daughters, Eleanor, wife of Dennis A. Dailida of Auburn and Patricia, wife of Frank Allelunas of Warminster, PA., a sister, Dorothy, wife of Neil Olen of Holden; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A brother Bernard Paskavitz and sisters, Nellie Babin and Mary Toloczko preceded him in death .
He was born in Worcester, son of William and Eva (Reteika) Paskavitz and graduated from North High School. He was a Navy veteran serving with the Pacific fleet aboard the destroyer USS McCalla.
Mr. Paskavitz retired after 25 years as a wire drawer at the South Works unit of American Steel and Wire, and 9 years as cook for Worcester City Hospital.
Mr. Paskavitz was a member of St. Casimir's Parish, a former commander and life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3657 and a long term board of director and active member of American Legion Post 318.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, November 2nd from in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be held on Saturday from the funeral home with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Casmir Church, 41 Providence Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Church, Building Fund, 41 Providence St., Worcester, MA 01604. FLORENCE H. PEASE
July 10, 1918 - August 22, 2006

Worcester - Florence H. (Safer) Pease, 88, formerly of Seabury Heights and Eastern Ave. died Tuesday, August 22nd in The Meadows of Leicester.
Her husband of 43 years, Frederick W. Pease, died in 1983.
She leaves her children Richard W. Pease and his wife, Joanne of Worcester; Frederick R. Pease and his wife, Christine of Lakeland, FL; Beverly Mercier and her husband, Edward of Holden; Linda E. Johnson and her husband David H. of Charlton; David C. Pease of Laguna Beach, CA; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Florence was born in Worcester the daughter of George and Anna (Ohan) Safer and lived here most of her life. She had been an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Florence was loved by all for her wonderful hospitality and famous cooking and baking.
Burial: Fri. August 25, 2006, 12:30 PM at Hope Cemetery

SANTINA R. PECKHAM
February 15, 1913 - December 2, 2006

AUBURN, MA - Santina R. (Renzoni) Peckham, 93, of Auburn, died Saturday, December 2nd at home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Her husband, Donald E. Peckham died in 1991.

She leaves her three children, David L. Peckham and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" of Auburn, Frances Reddig Barry and her husband Raymond of Merrimack, NH, and Barbara A. McLear and her husband Thomas of Auburn; her 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandsons; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Renzoni of Worcester, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard F. Peckham, by her three brothers and two sisters.

She was born in Worcester, son of the late Luigi and Amelia (Fanelli) Renzoni. She was raised in Winchendon and has lived in Auburn for 75 years.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, family and friends were most important to Santina.

She was a longtime member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church, Worcester and the VFW Post 6907, West Boylston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating Santina's life on Saturday, Dec. 9th at 10:30 AM at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 911 Main St., Worcester. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn will be private. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Congregational Church, 911 Main St., Worcester, MA 01610 or to the Auburn District Nursing Association, 191 Pakachoag St., Auburn, MA 01501.

ARLENE (STISITIS) PELLERIN
December 11, 1939 - October 8, 2007

AUBURN, MA - Arlene (Stisitis) Pellerin, 67, of Pakachoag Village, died Monday in her home after a brief illness.
She is survived by her four children; David Pellerin of Auburn, and his wife Carol, Cynthia Blais, of Auburn, and her husband Michael, Sandra Witkowski of Leicester, and her husband Francis, Cheryl Reynolds of Charlton and her husband Timothy, she leaves her beloved grandchildren, Eric and Shawn VanDekop, Christopher Blais, Christine and Laura Pellerin, Heather and Jillian Witkowski, Brandon, Katharine and Emily Reynolds, also nephews and nieces.
Her brother William Stisitis predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Vincent and Helen (Grudzinskas) Stisitis; she was raised and educated in Worcester, graduating from the former High school of Commerce.
She worked for many years as a tool grinder at Wyman Gordon until her retirement.
She was an avid card player; she also loved to go camping, ride horses and square dance.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 5-8 PM Wednesday, in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. Auburn. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street, N. Auburn. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.

ROBERTA PERRON
August 5, 1922 - August 18, 2007

Auburn - Roberta E. Perron, 85, of 4-3 Victoria Drive, passed away Saturday August 18, 2007 in the Life Care Center of Auburn. She is survived by her nieces, Denise Perron, of Auburn, and Joanne Lambert, wife of Alan Lambert, of Lancaster, NH, and a great nephew Joshua Lambert, of Sandy, UT. She was predeceased by her twin brother Robert Perron, of Auburn.
Roberta was born on August 5, 1922 in Worcester, the daughter of John and Jennie (Brownlie) Perron. She was a graduate of Saint Peter's High School, and Worcester City Hospital Nursing School. She joined the United States Navy as a navy nurse. She had duty all over the world and returned from the Navy after 25 years in 1969 as a Commander. She returned to Auburn after retirement and was a devoted member of Saint Joseph's Church. She graduated from Indiana University and Anna Maria College, and she was a member of the Navy Nurse Corps Association.

Mildred (Allen) Peterson
January 8, 2006

Mildred Allen Peterson, 78, of Auburn, died on January 8, 2006 at the Jewish Healthcare Center. One of six children, she was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur and Marion (Hayward) Allen, and grew up in West Boylston. After graduating from West Boylston High School, she attended Simmons College. She thereafter lived many years in Shrewsbury, Rochester, NY, and Leicester. She was a gifted landscape painter and dedicated homemaker and mother. She enjoyed painting, travel, reading, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Clifford L. Peterson; sister, Dorothy Allen Parker; children - Amy Russo Piro Chambers, Lynne Russo Dallas, David Nicholas Russo, Pamela Russo Valliere, and Elizabeth Russo Graham; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; stepchildren - Christine Peterson Rawley, Melinda Peterson Gauthier, and Lennie Peterson; three stepgrandchildren; her first husband, Nichola P. Russo; and many nieces and nephews. Her brothers, George J. Allen, William H. Allen and Walter F. Allen, and a sister, Priscilla J. Allen, predeceased her.
Family and friends are invited to attend the calling hours on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 11 AM at the First Congregational Church, 128 Central Street, Auburn. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church in Auburn or any other charity of the donor's choice.

GERTRUDE M. PETERSON
July 17, 1913 - January 21, 2006

WORCESTER - Gertrude M. (Corr) Peterson, 92 of Worcester, died in Holy Trinity Nursing Home, after an illness.
She is survived by children; Walter K. Peterson, Charles A. Peterson, and Linda Grenon, all of Auburn, a sister Thelma Martin of Westford, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers Charles and Donald Williams predeceased her.
She was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late William and Vera (Morton) Corr.
She was a member for Greendale Peoples Church, and a former member of Burncoat Baptist Church. She was a 50 year member of the Stella Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Family and friends are invited to a visiting hour from 9-10AM Thursday in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in All faith Cemetery, Worcester

Carolyn W. (Wesby) Peterson
September 8, 1961 - August 14, 2007

SHREWSBURY - Carolyn W. (Wesby) Peterson, 45, of Shrewsbury, died Tuesday, August 14th in her home surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Gerald R. "Jerry" Peterson; her children, Jeffrey T. Peterson and Kayla L. Peterson both of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Joseph S. "Terry" Wesby III of Northborough, and Roger H. Wesby of Staten Island, N.Y; a sister, Jane Spencer Wesby of Lambertville, N.J.; a brother-in-law, James R. "Jim" Peterson of Vernon, CT; also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister-in-law Nancy E. Mekjian, who also had died of breast cancer in 2001.

Mrs. Peterson was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph S. "Joe" Wesby, Jr. and Eleanor "Ellie" (Mansur) Wesby and had lived in Shrewsbury for the past 14 years. She graduated from Bancroft School in Worcester and received her B.S. Degree in Medical Technology from Anna Maria College. Carolyn had been employed as a Quality Assurance Specialist for 2 years at UMass Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus, previously she had worked for 23 years for the Blood Bank at the UMass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus.

She was a faithful church member of Greendale People's Church and was very active on several committees including being the former chairperson of the Music Committee.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and was loved by all who knew her.

LILLIAN M. (ASHTON) PETRONE
April 21, 1911 - June 5, 2006

SHREWSBURY - Lillian M. (Ashton) Petrone, 95, of Rolfe Ave, died Monday in her home after an illness.
She is survived by her son, James V. Petrone, Jane L. Petrone, her primary care giver, and Margaret S. Angelico, wife of V. James Angelico, all of Shrewsbury. She leaves 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent "Jim" Petrone who died in 1978, a daughter Pauline, and a sister, Christina Bradford, of Montreal, Canada.
She was born in Canada, the daughter of the late Albert A. and Margaret (Coogan) Ashton; she was educated in Montreal schools.
She was a member of Saint Anne's Church, and the Massachusetts Association for the Blind. She used to bowl with the blind and loved knitting and crafts.
