TEWKSBURY - Judith H. Creamer, 65, a lifelong Tewksbury Resident, died Saturday morning, May 25, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was the wife of Harold D. “Hal” Creamer, with whom she would have celebrated a 47th wedding anniversary in October.

She was born in Somerville, Feb. 21, 1937, a daughter of Elizabeth L. “Lill” (Harndon) Hewitt of Tewksbury and the late Forest H. Hewitt. She was raised in Tewksbury, and remained a lifelong resident of the community.

She graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School, and later became active in the Tewksbury-Wilmington Emblem Club.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by one daughter, Sharon Creamer of Nashua, NH, three sons, David Creamer and his wife Terry Kennedy of San Diego, CA, Steven and his wife Cathy (Cardinal) Creamer of Easton, Mass., Harold “Hal” Creamer Jr and his fiancee Danielle Tolonen both of Tewksbury, four grandchildren, Daniel Cross of Lawrence, Angela Papakostas of Nashua, NH, Donna Creamer and Harold “Hal” Creamer III both of Tewksbury, one great granddaughter Ariadne C. Metzler, one brother Dennis Hewitt of Wilmington, one sister, Susan Wilson of Lowell, and many nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Forest H. Hewitt, Valarie Coutreau, and Richard Hewitt.

Her funeral service was held Thursday in the funeral home. Following cremation, interment will be private.

John C. Lobao

...WWII Navy Veteran, worked at Courier Citizen; 76

No. Chelmsford - John C. Lobao, 76, died Friday evening, July 19, at Saint’s Memorial Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Lillian J. (Fisher) Lobao, who died on July 22, 2000.

Mr. Lobao was born in Lowell, October 5, 1925 and raised in Lowell. He lived his entire life in the greater Lowell area.

During WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy, as a pharmacists mate.

He was employed by the Courier Citizen Company for more than 21 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Karen Fleury of Lowell, Kathleen Stoddard of Dracut, one son, Charles Carroll of Wilmington, six grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Matthew, Jennifer, Jessica, Charles Jr., and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Beverly and Walter Crowley of Tewksbury, Joan and Walter Pondelli of Newton, NH, Sheila Fisher of Rochester, NH, Josephine Fisher of Brockton, and his best friend Maxi. P>He was also brother-in-law of the late William Fisher, and will be sadly missed by all.

His funeral Service was held Thursday, July 25, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.

Emily A. Marrone

TEWKSBURY - Emily A. (Ardagna) Marrone, 75, a member of St. Dorothy’s parish in Wilmington, died Saturday night, July 20, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Andrew R. Marrone, who died in 1994.

She was born in East Boston, April 28, 1927, the daughter of the late Bill and Mary (Fresco) Ardagna. She was raised in Medford and Somerville, and moved to Tewksbury in 1961.

She was a communicant of St. Dorothy’s Parish in Wilmington.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew A. Marrone and Mary (Cameron) Marrone of Bradford, a daughter and son-in-law, Julia Ann Eagan and Robert Eagan of Hudson, NH, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Anthony “Sony” and Mary Ardagna of GA, William Ardagna of Arlington, Mass., and five grandchildren, Nathan, Paul, David, Jessica and Andrew.

Her Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, July 24, in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St. (Rte 38) Wilmington. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.

Memorials to the Am. Heart Asson., 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701-4688 will be appreciated.

TEWKSBURY - Rita Theresa (Nutter) Aubut, age 77, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, July 24, at Saint’s Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. She was the wife of Joseph A. Aubut Sr, with whom she would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this coming November 23rd.

She was born in Lowell, Feb. 2, 1925, a daughter of the late James and Rose (McCabe) Nutter. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. She had lived in Tewksbury for the last 50 years.

Mrs. Aubut devoted her life to her family, her community and their family businesses, which they founded in 1961 in Tewksbury.

Mrs. Aubut was also a communicant of St. William’s Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Joseph A. Aubut Jr. of Tewksbury, one daughter, Debra A. Aubut of Atkinson, NH, two sisters, Madeline Nutter of Tewksbury, Helen Dion of Lowell, sisters and brothers-in-law, Marcelle Egan of Fla., Howard Whitten, Frank and Jeannette McCusker all of Tewksbury, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Catherine Nutter, and Robert Nutter.

Her Funeral Mass was held Monday, July 29, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.

Memorials to St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.

Carol Ann Cormier
August 01, 2002

...former Tewksbury resident; 55

CLINTON, MA - Carol Ann Cormier, 55, died Thursday morning, Aug. 1, at the Coachlace Nursing Center in Clinton after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Medford, Aug. 15, 1946, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (MacDougal) Cormier. She was raised in Wilmington and Tewksbury, where she lived the greater part of her life.

She is survived by one sister and two brothers-in-law, Jeanne and her husband Edward Racicot of Webster, Mass., one brother-in-law, Paul York of Wilmington, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also sister of the late Ruth York.

At her request all funeral arrangements are private.

Memorials to: Special Olympics Massachusetts, Attn: Donations, 450 Maple Street Building 1, Danvers, MA 01923, will be appreciated.

Estelle M. Barchard

LOWELL - Estelle M. Barchard, age 28, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 31, at her home.

She was born in Haverhill, Oct. 10, 1973. She lived in Lowell the greater part of her life, and had graduated Lowell High School.

She was employed as a manager at the Chelmsford Street Store 24 in Lowell.

She is survived by her mother, Susan Godfrey of Lowell, a sister, Sherry Lynn Bell of Lowell, her grandmother Claire Godfrey of Tewksbury, two uncles and an aunt, William and Georgia Godfrey of Merrimack, NH, and Donald Godfrey of Manchester, NH, and her dear friends, Lisa Collins of Salem, NH, Irene Wagner and Kayla Wagner of Lowell.

At Miss Barchard’s, request all funeral arrangements are private.

TEWKSBURY - Mary F. (Moynahan) Costa, 86, died Friday, Aug. 2, at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in No. Billerica after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of John F. Costa, with whom she had celebrated a 47th wedding anniversary this past May 1st.

She was born in Malden, Feb. 15, 1916. She was raised in Malden, and attended Malden parochial schools. She had lived in Tewksbury for the past four decades.

She worked for the former New England Telephone Company as an operator, and later as a clerk in the engineering department.

She was an active member St. William’s Parish, and in her later years was also active at the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center. She also belonged to the Tewksbury Golden Age Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and James Cullen of Humbleton, PA, a son and daughter-in-law, John F. Jr. and his wife Deborah of Houston, TX, two sisters Josephine Cecchine of Melrose and Kathryn Moynahan of Medford, and three grandchildren, Keefe Costa, and identical twin girls, Margaret and Elizabeth Costa.

Her Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Aug. 7 in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701, will be appreciated.

Jewel M. Cadieux
August 05, 2002

TEWKSBURY - Jewel M. (Blackler) Cadieux, 75, died unexpectedly at her Carnation Drive home, Monday afternoon, Aug. 5. She was the wife of the late John J. Cadieux, who died in 1983.

She was born in Somerville, Mar. 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Rita (Doyle) Blackler. She was raised in Somerville, and lived the greater part of her life in Billerica. She had lived in Nashua, NH, before returning to Billerica. She moved to Carnation Drive in Tewksbury three years ago.

In her earlier years, she was a model for the Ford Agency in Boston. She later founded and operated a Café in Copley Square in Boston.

She had been a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church in Billerica, and was currently a member of St. William’s Parish in Tewksbury.

She is survived by a daughter, Jan Jamieson of Dracut, a son, Frank Dunbar of Calif., two grandsons, Jason Jamieson of Lowell, Jeffrey Jamieson of Billerica, a son-in-law, Robert Jamieson of Billerica, two beloved sisters, Jean Kelley of Tewksbury, Linda Miceli of Wakefield, four brothers, Wilfred Blackler of NY, Harold Blackler of Medford, Charles Blackler of Charlestown, Robert Blackler of Hull, and her dear friend Amy Sickler of Lowell. She was also sister of the late Ronald, Michael, James, and John Blackler.

Her funeral was held on Friday, Aug. 9, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.

Robert Tellier
July 29, 2002

LOWELL - Robert J. Tellier, 59, died Monday, July 29, at the Tewksbury Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born in Lowell, August 24, 1942, a son of the late Leonel and Lorraine (Durrfo) Tellier.

Mr. Tellier worked for the Adden Furniture Company in Lowell as a machinist for many years.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Tellier his wife Eileen Bealieu of Lowell, five daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia Tellier and husband John LeRiche of Hudson, NH, Christine Tellier-Gilkes and her husband Daniel Gilkes of Lowell, Gina Tellier and her husband Carlos Colon of Lowell, Denise Tellier of Lowell, and Marie Armstrong of Dracut, one sister, Lorraine Tellier of Lowell, one brother, Jerry Tellier of Lowell, seven grandchildren, John and Alyssa LeRiche, Amanda and Jessica Bealieu, Kalil and Nigel Colon, and Alyssa Armstrong, and his caretaker, Virginia Carvalho of Dracut.

Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated Sunday, August 4, at 10:30 a.m. in Notra Dame D’Lourdes Church, Smith Street, Lowell. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.

Re. Fr. Joseph Murphy, O.M.I.

...oldest living Oblate priest

TEWKSBURY - Rev. Joseph P. Murphy, O.M.I. died after a short illness, Tuesday, August 6th at the Town and Country Nursing Home in Lowell, Ma. Fr. Murphy was 101 and recently celebrated his 75th Anniversary as a priest.

Father was a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and was at the time of his death the oldest member of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

Fr. Murphy was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. the son of Patrick and Mary (Curran) Murphy. He graduated from Boston College High School in 1915 and entered the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1919.

Father attended Canisus College in Buffalo, N.Y. He was ordained to the priesthood in Washington, D.C. on April 29th 1927. Father Murphy served the Oblates for many years as a Missionary assigned to Lowell, MA, Tewksbury, MA. at Duck Creek, WI. and Newburgh NY. He was also Pastor in McCook, NE. He was a Hospital Chaplain at Bronx State in New York City for many years .

In his last years Father lived in Roslindale MA and in September of 1996 was assigned to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Residence in Tewksbury, MA. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Father Murphy's Funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 9, in the Residence Chapel. Burial followed in the Oblate Cemetery.

Donations in Father Murphy's memory may be made to the Oblate Retirement Fund, PO. 419 Tewksbury, MA. 01876.

Marie C. Cunningham, R.N.
August 06, 2002

...worked at St. John’s Hospital; 86

TEWKSBURY - Marie C. (Rigney) Cunningham, R.N., age 86, died Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 6, at the Blairehouse of Tewksbury, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late John F. Cunningham, who died in 1997.

She was born in Bayonne, N.J., April 27, 1916, a daughter of the late Patrick and Nora (Beirne) Rigney. She lived in Belmar, N.J. in the 50's, Tewksbury, from 1957 until 1984, Harwich from 1984 until 1992, and then Dracut. She had been in residence at Blairehouse for the past 6 years.

Mrs. Cunningham graduated from the Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing and was certified on October, 12, 1939. She worked locally at St.John’s Hospital in Lowell, now Saints Memorial Medical Center, during the 1960's.

She was a communicant of St. William’s Church, and a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality at St. William’s.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law, Edmund and his wife Sharon (Sullivan) Cunningham of Dracut, Timothy and his wife Cynthia (Meuse) Cuningham of Dunstable, formerly Groton, Jackie Cunningham, in residence at the Fernald School in Waltham, Kathy (Baxter - Cunningham) Morlock of N.J., seven grandchildren, Karen Mitchell, Daniel and Michael Cunningham all of NJ, Christopher and Ryan Cunningham of Dracut, Courtney and Kristin Cunningham of Dunstable. She was also mother of the late Brian Cunningham, and sister of the late Ann Rigney, and Rev. Fr. Ed Rigney.

Her funeral was held on Saturday, Aug. 10, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.

Memorials to Greatr Lowell V.N.A., Hospice, P.O. Box 1965, Lowell, MA 01853 will be appreciated.
