Mary Theresa (Bubri) Bench
Born: Mon., Jan. 9, 1928 - Died: Mon., Mar. 9, 2015

Mary Theresa Bench, 87, of Sykesville, died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Fairhaven.

Born January 9, 1928 in Chester, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Giallette Bubri. She was the wife of the late William P. Bench, Sr. who died in 2005. They had been married for over 50 years.

Prior to her marriage she had been employed as a telephone operator with Bell Telephone. She was also employed as a typist with Westinghouse where she met her future husband William. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was the last of her immediate family.

She is survived by son William P. Bench, Jr., daughters Jane Bench, Debra Kunaniec and Donna Heying and her husband Richard. She is also survived by grandchildren Christopher, Jessica and Patrick Heying. She was preceded in death by brothers Leonard and Albert Bubri.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 10-11 AM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Deacon Karl Bayhi officiating. Inurnment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, sympathy’s may be expressed in the form of contributions to The American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Ste. 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.

William "Bill" Charles Rosenbusch

William "Bill" Charles Rosenbusch, 57, of Boonsboro, Md. died on Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Hagerstown.

Born on February 2, 1953 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Lloyd A. Rosenbusch and Frances V. Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Natasha E. Rosenbusch and his son William Dane Rosenbusch, both of Boonsboro.

A memorial service will be planned for the Spring of 2011 with interment in the family burial plot at Oak Hill cemetery in Georgetown.

Sharon Elizabeth (Davis) Forsyth

Sharon Elizabeth (Davis) Forsyth, 59, of Hagerstown, Maryland, went to be with the Lord, October 29, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born August 25, 1951, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Betty L. Davis, and Leonard L. Davis of Sharpsburg Maryland.

She was a member of the Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren and a 1969 graduate of Boonsboro High School. Sharon worked 16 years as an Office Manager for TruGreen Chemlawn Lawn Care Company.

She was the wife of David M. Forsyth, and mother of two daughters, Nicole Hambleton and Angel Britton, two sons, David M. Forsyth, and Justin M. Forsyth of Hagerstown; five grandchildren, Courtney Hutchinson, CJ Hambleton, Brittney Hambleton, Jasmine Keefer, and Johnnie Britton III; two great-grandchildren, Kayden, and Kamryn all of Hagerstown. She is survived by one sister Lydia Mitchell and husband Bill of Frederick, Maryland, and one brother Leonard (Lin) Davis and wife Brenda of Cumberland, Maryland. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 1, 2010 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, at 1:00 p.m. Rev. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View cemetery in Sharpsburg, Maryland.

Charles "Bim" Edward Monninger

Charles Edward "Bim" Monninger, 70, of Netz Road in Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 while surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 14, 1940 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Roy V. and Florence V. (Thomas) Monninger.

Charles was the owner of Monninger's Farm Machinery on Netz Road near Boonsboro. He was previously employed by the Washington County Roads Department in Hagerstown.

Charles was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Clopper-Michael Post #10 in Boonsboro. He had formerly been a member of the North American Rod & Gun Club in Hagerstown and the Catoctin Fish and Game Protective Association in Myersville, Maryland.

Charles enjoyed his blue grass music every Thursday night at the Woodman of the World. He was also an avid trap shooter, metal detector and mushroom hunter. He also enjoyed attending auctions after his retirement.

Charles is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice. L. (Brown) Monninger; his four daughters, Cheryl Poffenberger and her husband Doug of Sharpsburg, Maryland, Tammy Love and her companion Russell Morgan of Keedysville, Maryland, Vonda Whitehair and her husband Marty of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and Tina Marx and her husband Brad of Mayville, Wisconsin; his nine grandchildren, Casey Poffenberger and his wife Mandi of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Montana Love of Baltimore, Maryland, Cody Poffenberger of Sharpsburg, Jared Hines of Horicon, Wisconsin, Kayla Smith of Longneck, Delaware, Cheyenne Love of Hagerstown, Evan Marx, Edyn Marx and Eyan Marx all of Mayville; his two step-grandchildren, Megan Whitehair of Temple, Texas and Reid Whitehair of Charles Town, West Virginia; his two brothers, Robert Monninger and his wife Shirley of Smithsburg, Maryland and Raymond Monninger of Boonsboro; and his two sisters Rose Brinkley and her husband Frank of Keedysville, and Becky Rohrer and her husband Jerry of Rohrersville. He was expecting his first great grandson, Brayden, on November 25th, and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his caregiver Debbie Austin.

Charles was preceded in death by his two brothers, Victor and Lester Monninger and his beloved grandson Kory Smith.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. Burial will follow at the Boonsboro cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the funeral home where the family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Linda Lu (Schmidt) Iseminger

Linda Lu (Schmidt) Iseminger, 70, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Born on October 11, 1940, in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Leonard and Vivian Adele (Stone) Schmidt.

Linda was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to caring for her family, especially during the 17 years of her husband's deployments in his 30 year career in the United States Navy.

Linda had been employed as the Office Manager for the Alzheimer's Association of Western Maryland in Hagerstown.

She was a member-at-large of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association and also worked as a volunteer at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Linda is a member of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Lee Iseminger; one daughter, Dawn and her husband Alan Murphy of Stafford, Virginia; her son Rev. David Iseminger and his wife Carmen of Charlotte, Michigan; her sister, Kathleen L. Cline of San Diego, California; her two brothers, Dale L. Schmidt of Mesa, Arizona and Thomas L. Schmidt also of the West Coast; her five grandchildren, Nathan Murphy and his wife Domonique of Triangle, Virginia, Christopher Murphy and his Fiance' Katrina Wiley of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Lena Iseminger, Emilee Iseminger and David Iseminger, II all of Charlotte, Michigan. She is also survived by her great-grandson Aiden Murphy and was expecting her second great-granchild in May. She will also be remember by her many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service well be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Brownsville, Maryland. Rev. Alan M. Smith and Rev. David Iseminger will officiate. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.

Daniel Gerald Ellis

Daniel Gerald Ellis, 61, of Keedysville, Maryland, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 24, 2010.

Born on March 8, 1949, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Fred Gerald and Edith Louise (Whittington) Ellis.

Daniel was a 1967 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Shepherd College in 1971 with a major in Business Administration and with a minor in Computer Science. Daniel additional earned his Master's Degree in Information Systems from the the University of Maryland in 2000.

Daniel was currently employed as a System Administrator with CSSS.NET in Falling Waters, West Virginia. He had previously worked with Solarex in Frederick, Maryland and SFA, Inc. in Frederick and Easton, Maryland.

Daniel was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi, EK Chapter. He also volunteered as a coach with BAAA (Boonsboro Youth Football) Program. Daniel was a past member of the Antietam Jaycees, the Boonsboro Park Board and the Keedysville Ruritan Club.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Frances (Ruffner) Ellis; his daughter, Gretchen Marie and her husband Andreas A. Laporta of Charlotte, North Carolina; his son, Jason Daniel Ellis and his wife Vicki E. (Mellott) of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania; his three sisters, Lori Lynn and her husband Ernest Uzicanin of Hagerstown, Maryland, Patricia Mae and her husband Kenneth Crutchfield also of Hagerstown, and Ann Elizabeth and her husband Nelson Kline of Williamsport, Maryland; his brother Ronald Wayne Ellis and his wife Debra also of Williamsport; and his four grandchildren, Jackson Daniel Ellis, Grant Kincaid Ellis, Edith Gray Ellis and Sophia Francesca Laporta. He is also survived by four nieces and eight nephews. He will also be remembered by Alnudena Delgado-Sanchez of Madrid, Spain.

Daniel was preceded in death by one nephew.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November, 29, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the funeral home.

Emory Clarence Stotler, Jr.

Emory Clarence Stotler, Jr., 85, of Maugansville, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 26, 2010.

Born on April 5, 1925 in Cool Hollow, Maryland, he was the son of the late Emory C. and Ada May (Thomas) Stotler, Sr.

Emory was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.

He had been an employee with Thomas and Sons in Boonsboro and at the Cavetown Planing Mill. He retired in 1990 from Crafters and Builders in Lake Wales, Florida.

Emory was a member of the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro and AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Elizabeth (Smith) Stotler; his daughter, Barbara Jean Mason and her husband Richard of Keedysville, Maryland; his two sons, Clarence L. Stotler and his wife April and James W. Stotler and his wife Marlene, all of Myersville, Maryland; and his sister Evelyn E. Kline of Hagerstown. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Blaine E. Feightner will officiate. Burial will follow at the Boonsboro cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Evelyn Mae Anderson

Evelyn Mae Anderson, 44, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 27, 2010 while surrounded by her family.

Born on May 4, 1966, in Prince William County, Virginia, she was the daughter of William M. and Melba (Rhodes) Anderson of Haymarket, Virginia.

Evelyn was a 1984 Graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and later from Hagerstown Business College.

Evelyn was a member of the Church of Christ at Hagerstown.

She was employed as a transcriber from both her home and at the Washington County Hopsital and the Chambersburg Hospital.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her beloved fiance' Jeff Stone of Hagerstown, Maryland; her three daughters, Jessica Biddle of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, Amber Shelton of Clarksburg, West Virginia and Cassie Downs of Boonsboro, Maryland; her four brothers, Jerry Rhodes of Bristow, Virginia, Robert Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Billy Anderson of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Joseph Anderson of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. She is also survived by her grandson, Dominick Shelton.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Bast Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Gerard R. Fess will officiate. Burial will be held privately.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at the funeral home.

Vivian Eileen (Stouffer) Van Voorhis

Vivian Eileen (Stouffer) Van Voorhis, 84, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, November 28, 2010.

Born in Mt. Lena, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lottie S. (Kinsey) Stouffer.

Her husband, David Clark Van Voorhis preceded her in death in 1991.

Vivian was a member of the Mt. Lena United Methodist Church and most recently the Benevola United Methodist Church where she was proud to be a member of the "Apple Dumpling Gang." She was also a member of AARP.

She was co-owner with her husband of the Boonsboro Motor Company and will be remembered for her loving devotion and love for spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, going to the Hagerstown City Park and playing games with her family.

Vivian is survived by her son, John E. Bailey and his wife Brenda of Frederick, Maryland; her daughters, Jacqueline S. and her husband David Lewis of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, Cheryl A. and her late husband Ronald Kline of Hagerstown, and Annette E. and her husband Herman Griffith of Boonsboro, Maryland; her brother, Fayette W. Stouffer of Mt. Lena, Maryland; and her grandchildren, Colleen Bailey, Charlene Cross, John Bailey, Crystal Moody, Joseph Quirion, John Dodson, Eric Lewis, Brett Lewis, Brad Lewis, Keith Kline, Joshua Griffith, Matthew Griffith, Christopher Griffith and Jonathan Griffith. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Eileen Bailey; her sister, Mildred I. Hogan; and her brothers, Vernon L., Marvin O., Charles O. and Elvin E. Stouffer.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Benevola United Methodist Church, 19925 Benevola Church Road in Boonsboro. Rev. John H. Dean will officiate. Burial will follow at the Mt. Lena United Methodist Church cemetery.

Friends may visit beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, where the family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
