Greenwalt, Blanche A.
Blanche A. Greenwalt (nee Staines), age 87, of Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA, formerly of Randallstown, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011. She was born January 9, 1924 in Baltimore County, Maryland the daughter of the late Walter B. Staines and the late Cora F. Staines (nee Troyer). She was the wife of the late Linwood H. Greenwalt for 57 years who passed away on Sept. 5, 2000. She worked at Bendix and Black & Decker. She was a secretary for the family Paving Company and a homemaker. She was a Life member of the Women of the Moose, Reisterstown Chapter 227 and a member of the College of Regents 6/66, she enjoyed her shore home in Maryland and her retired life in Jensen Beach, FL, before moving back to MD and PA. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she enjoyed her friendship with Mel and Evelyn Fisher and many other friends that preceded her. Mother of George H. Greenwalt and wife Brenda of New Windsor, Nancy C. Stang and husband Joseph of Airville, PA, Michael L. Greenwalt, Sr. and wife Nancy of Manchester, MD and the late Catherine Greenwalt. Sister of- of Doris Lamp and the late Walter B. Staines, Nancy Raver, Robert B. Staines and Charles Robinson, also survived by 9 grandchildren- Sherrie Kreft, Melissa Williams, Craig Stang, Jennifer and Bradley Greenwalt, Carrie Brett, Nicole Kyker, Anna and Michael L. Greenwalt, Jr., and 13 great grandchildren, and one late great granddaughter Kelli. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School). Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.

Pickett, Stanley M.
Stanley Matthew Pickett, age 81, of Mt. Airy, Died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at home. He was born December 31, 1929 in Poplar Springs, MD, the son of the late J. Leland Pickett and the late Elizabeth Gertrude Pickett (nee Rippeon). He was the husband of the late Martha Liann Pickett (nee Britton). He was a farmer and lived to work. He was a member of the Mt. Airy Prudence Lodge # 190 A.F. & A.M. and a member of Poplar Springs U.M. Church. He was the father of Allan Pickett, Mark and Jeanie Pickett of Mt. Airy, Bruce Pickett and girlfriend Gayle Luaces of New Market. Brother of- Calvin Pickett of Woodbine and the late Howard Pickett. Grandfather of- Amy Pickett-Hurst, Theresa, Ashley, Katie, Ryan and Angie Pickett. Also survived by several great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM with a Mt. Airy Prudence Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M. service at 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM, at Poplar Springs U.M. Church, 915 E. Watersville Road, Mt. Airy with the Rev. Webster, Irma L.
Irma Lucille Webster (nee Marriott), age 89, of Sykesville, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at her home. She was born June 7, 1921 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late William Samuel Marriott and the late Ruth Carolyn Marriott (nee Greninger). She was the wife of the late Douglas Garfield Webster. She was a Homemaker. She worker for Webster Construction Company, Pikesville Office Supply and Top Value Stamp Store. She was the mother of Beverly and husband Dale Ireland of Sykesville. Sister of Ida Mae Tomlinson, William S. Marriott and the late Ruth Ileen Rush. Grandmother of Lisa Hall and husband Craig, Debbie Shenton and the late Matt Shenton. Great grandmother of Abby and Sara Hall, and Katelyn and Nick Shenton. Gathering of family and friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Frizzell, William H.
William Harry Frizzell 75 of Mt. Airy, MD Died Tuesday March 8, 2011 at the Dove House. He was the spouse of the late Eleanor Louise (Johnson) Frizzell. He was born November 4, 1935 in Watersville, MD the son of the late Truman A. Frizzell and the late Hazel V. (Haines) Frizzell. He worked for Donald VanSant building Cabinets for 17 years and later worked as a Welder at Westinghouse. He also rode in a truck with Harvey Myers for North and South Frozen Food Company. He enjoyed woodworking and Restoring Antiques, and belonged to the VFW in Oakland, MD. Surviving him are Daughters and Son-in-laws Terry and Kenneth Hamby of Ellicott City and Sherry and Albert Musgrove of Mt. Airy, MD Brother and Sister-in-law Kenneth and Rosalee Frizzell of Westminster, Brother and Sister-in-law Robert and Sue Frizzell Sr. of Mt. Airy, MD Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Walter and Gail Johnson of Mesa, AZ, Brother-in-law Gilbert Mayne, Sr. of Mount Airy, Mother-in-law Ruth Johnson of Baltimore, MD Grandchildren Edward Cason, III, and Melissa Caslow, Great-grandson Brian Hunter Blackburn. Preceded in death by Sister Betty Mayne and nephew Gilbert Mayne, Jr. Funeral Services will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 2:00 PM Saturday March 12, 2011. Interment will be in Prospect cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. On February 18, 2011, Dorothy Mae Ford, (nee Higgs), Devoted wife of the late Wallace Herbert Ford, Loving mother of Wallace H. Ford, Jr. and Gail M. Buck. Dearest grandmother of Brendon and Brittany Buck. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 on Tuesday, February 22nd, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Granite Presbyterian Church, 10637 Old Court Rd. Woodstock MD 21163 with Internment immediately following the service in the Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Granite Presbyterian Church, Woodstock, Maryland.

Sharrer, Genevieve O.
Genevieve Opal Sharrer, nee Boone, of Taneytown, MD, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Lorien of Taneytown. She was the Spouse of the late Maurice Henry Harbaugh who passed in January of 1945 and later the spouse of the late Carroll David Sharrer who died in 1991. She was born December 9, 1918 in Johnsville, MD (Frederick CO) the daughter of the late Charles Jessie Boone and the late Lora Irene Eyler Boone. She was a homemaker, a member of Beaver Dam Church of the Brethren. Enjoyed Reading, Bird Watching and Singing. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Surviving her are Daughter and Son-in-law Marlene and Richard Black of New Windsor. Grandchildren: Teresa and husband Dennis Brightwell, Kevin and wife Cheryl Black. Four great-Grandchildren Scott, Bradley, Corey and Angie Brightwell. Sister-in-law Naomi Boone and Niece Shirley Wisner. Preceded in death by Sisters Goldie Barnes, Lena Engle, Brothers Chester, Woodrow, Gerald and Grafton Boone. Services and Interment at Private. Interment will be in Linganore UMC cemetery, Unionville, MD. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Taneytown Vol Fire Dept., 39 E. Baltimore St. Taneytown, MD 21787. Sandra M. Litchfield, age 45, of Sykesville, died Monday, March 14, 2011, at Transitions Health Care in Sykesville. She was born March 12, 1966 in Westminster, MD the daughter of Helen May Wirtz Litchfield of Sykesville and the late John Edward Litchfield. She was a special child to her mom and family and a God’s Angel. She was the sister of Roger L. and Jody Litchfield of Taneytown and Andrew L. and Jennifer Litchfield of Pasadena. James H. “Jim” Harrison, age 71, of Romney, West Virginia, formerly of Winfield, MD, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Hampshire Center Nursing Home in Romney, West Virginia. He was born March 28, 1939 in Howard County, Daisy, Maryland the son of the late Ira Harrison and the late Mamie Unglesbee Harrison . He was the husband of Rosalie Harrison (nee Riggleman). He was a retired Building Service Manager for Montgomery County School Board. He was the father of Greg Harrison of Romney, West Virginia and Tammy Hensley of Westminster, MD, Dwayne Harrison of Berkley Springs, West Virginia and Debbie Eckard of Westminster. He was the brother of Gilbert Harrison of Eldersburg, Charlotte L. Sirk of Lisbon, Eleanor Hodges of Mississippi and Shirley Duvall of Woodbine. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends especially the old “geezer”. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Zomaya Shleiman Solomon, PHD, age 85, of Westminster, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. He was the husband of Nancy Jane Solomon (nee Grimes). He was born November 19, 1925 in Syria. He was the son of the late Shlimon Zomaya and late Nimo Nisan. He was a Linguist for U.S. Federal Government for 38 years. Father of Nathan and Karen Solomon of Ellicott City, Thomas and Cindy Solomon of Westminster. Brother of Ashur Solomon of Chicago, IL. Grandfather of Rebecca, Jonathan, Sarah, Kimberly Solomon.
