Charles “Sam” Poole, Sr. 65 of Louisville, MD, died on Saturday July 9, 2011 due to Complications from Heart Surgery at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He was the spouse of Brenda Marie (Nickoles) Poole. Mr. Poole was born April 26, 1946 in Gaithersburg, MD the son of the late Maurice Theodore and late Mary Virgie (Duvall) Poole. He was a Butcher and Meat Cutter from age 16 until his time of death. He was the Owner Operator of Sam’s Deer Processing, Enjoyed working in his garden, his beach house, boating and spending time with family and friends. Surviving him in addition to his wife are Son: Charles “Sam” Poole, Jr, of Taylorsville, Son: Kevin Brian and wife Heather Poole of Louisville, Grandson: Kevin Brian Poole, Jr., Brothers and Sisters: Hallie Martin, Ethel and husband Howard Morrison, Doris and Husband Ralph Sprague, Maurice Poole, William and Judy Poole, Ernest and Georgia Poole, Robert Poole, John and wife Dorothy Poole, Catherine Reaver, Wanda Smith and Companion Aldo Baldwin, Evelyn and Arch Muller Brother-in-law Charles Will, Jr. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by Sister Virginia “Sissy” Will. Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 15, 2011 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Finksburg, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wed 7 to 9 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM . Falkenklous, Alice R.
Alice Rose Falkenklous (nee Hager), age 85, of Randallstown, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, MD. She was born June 12, 1926 in France, the daughter of the late Jean Hager and late Anne Bourg Hager. She was a beautician. She was the wife of the late Francis Gibney and the late Endel Falkenklous. She was the mother of Endel Falkenklous, Lisa Lewis, Melanie Falkenklous, Phil Falkenklous, Louis Alex Falkenklous and the late Audrey Gibney. She was the sister of Melanie Benner and aunt of Benjamin Benner and wife Jodi; and survived by 5 grandchildren and many friends and other relatives. Predeceased by son in law Steven M. Lewis. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Friday from 7-9 PM with a wake service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, 10800 Old Court Road, Woodstock with the Fr. Joseph P. Lacey, SJ officiating. Rehmeyer, Wilmer A.
Wilmer A. “Bud” Rehmeyer, age 96, of Rockdale, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Chapel Hill Nursing Home in Randallstown. He was born November 7, 1914 in Glenrock, PA, the son of the late Wilmer Louis Rehmeyer and the late Florine Belle Rehmeyer (nee Young). He was the owner of a clock, watch and jewelry repair shop in Rockdale. He was a member of Mt. Olive U.M. Church in Randallstown. He served in the army from 1941-1945. He grew up in the Hampden area. He was the husband of Vanna G. Rehmeyer (nee Sullivan). He was the father of Vanna Lee Ruffner and husband Aubrey of Fairfax, VA and Nancy Gerace of Rockdale. He was the grandfather of Sean and Van Ruffner of Henrico, VA and Scott and Jen Ruffner of San Francisco, CA. Also survived by 2 great grandchildren. Private Services. Sylvester, Kathy J.
Kathy J. Sylvester (nee Thacker), age 46, of Randallstown, died Monday July 11, 2011. She was born December 14, 1964 in Pikesville, MD the daughter of Jean A. Thacker and the late James W. Thacker. She was a programmer coordinator for Parxcel Co. Member of Alive Community Church in Columbia. She was the wife of Timothy M. Sylvester. She was the mother of Elizabeth I. Darling, Kaitlin B. Sylvester and Nikolas Sylvester. She was the sister of Karen Thacker and Sharron Roberts. Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Steve Slifker of Alive Community Church in Columbia. Private Interment. Memorial Contributions can be made to: Autism Speaks www.autismspeaks.org.

Cecial Irene(Oxendine) Ensko 70 of Woodbine, MD, passed away Saturday July 16 after a long and lengthily battle with cancer at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was the spouse of Michael Robert Ensko, Sr. Mrs. Ensko was born January 1, 1941 in Maxton, NC the daughter of the late Wilton and late Lystra (Lowery) Oxendine of Maxton, NC. Mrs. Ensko was a Systems Analyst for Howard County Government for over 25 years. She liked Sudoku puzzles, enjoyed crocheting, needle point, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving her are Son and Daughter-in-law Michael Robert and Susan Ensko, Jr. of New Windsor, Daughter and Son-in-law Michelle Pauline and Benjamin Sullivan of Hanover, PA, Grandchildren: Ryan Reider, Kelley Ensko, Kaitlynn Ensko, Abigail Sullivan and Twins Samantha and Allison Sullivan. Sisters Olieanthis Kyger of Catonsville, Audrey Sonney of Malabar, FL, Gwendolyn Locklear and Veronica Lee of Maxton, NC Brother Milton Wallace Oxendine and Ricky Murton Oxendine of Maxton, Aunt Sally Oxendine of PembrokeNC and Aunt Luana Davis of Roswell, GA. She was preceded in death by her sister OLinda (Oxendine) Stetcher of Slainsville, WV and Brother Winford Oxendine of Maxton, OH. Pearl Lillian (Cook) Thomas, 78 of Winfield, MD, died Saturday July 16, 2011 at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was the spouse of the late Charles Howard Thomas, Sr. She was born April 19, 1933 in Winfield, MD the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Della (Jason) Cook. Mrs. Thomas was a Dietary Supervisor for the State Of MD, A member of Fairview UMC. Enjoyed doing puzzles and watching the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. Surviving her are Daughter Brigitte M. Thomas of Winfield, Son and Daughter-in-law Charles H. and Darnella E. Thomas, Jr. Of Winfield, Sister Bernice Wilson of Winfield, Brother Maurice and wife Betty Cook of Johnsville. Sister-in-law Martha Cook, Grandchildren Brittlynn, DeAndre, and Kennedy Thomas. Sister-in-law Regina Thomas. Best and Longtime Friend Sally Greene and a host of nieces and nephews. David B. Wilhelm, age 55, of Eldersburg, died Monday, July 18, 2011 at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, MD. He was born April 3, 1956 in Baltimore, MD the son of Alva L. Wilhelm (nee Smith) of Eldersburg and the late William Franklin Wilhelm, Jr. He was a computer Analyst for family business Wilhelm Energy Services, Inc. and various companies, Avid reader, loved science fiction and mystery books, and loved playing on the computer. Brother of Kimberley and Joseph Pyles of Eldersburg and Lynda Wilhelm of Eldersburg. Also survived by two nephews- William and Thomas Pyles. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Roland “Bud” Brown and Rev. Charles Shacochis of St. Paul’s U.M. Church in Sykesville officiating. Interment Lake View Memorial Park. Fleming, Jr., John E.
Mr. John Edgar Fleming, Jr., 74, of Lisbon, MD died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Mary Jane, his wife of 53 years. Born May 14, 1937, he was the son of the late John Edgar Sr. and Mary Fleming. Mr. Fleming retired from Howard County Government, Communications. After retirement, he owned and operated Fleming’s Furniture in Mt. Airy for 20 years. He was a member of the Mt. Airy Rotary Club and served on the board of Union National Bank. He was a member of Lisbon Fire Company, and served as past Chief and President. John enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to gatherings and holidays with his family and friends. He was an avid collector, enjoyed crafting furniture and refinishing antiques. Surviving are four children: Douglas W. Fleming and wife Debora of Mt. Airy, James E. Fleming and wife Mary Ellen of Mt. Airy, Cynthia L. Harrison and husband Darryl of Woodbine, Lisa R. Fogle and husband Kenneth of Mt. Airy; brothers Mark Fleming of Mt. Airy and Frank Fleming of Westminster; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his brother Randolph Brightwell. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd, Winfield (beside South Carroll High School). Funeral services will take place at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ernest Thayil Officiating. Schlotterbeck, Letitia B.
Letitia Belle Schlotterbeck, born March 15, 1932 in Hagerstown, Maryland, left this earthly life Friday, July 22, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Douglas Schlotterbeck, and her beloved parents, Edgar and Margaret Sprecher of Hagerstown. She is survived by her two sons: Michael, his wife Patricia, and Jeffrey Schlotterbeck, her grandchildren: Jeffrey Schlotterbeck and his wife Darcy, Kristin Schlotterbeck Durham and her husband Peter, Katie Schlotterbeck Stoner and her husband John, and Lauren Schlotterbeck Vickrey and her husband Michael, as-well-as three great-grandchildren: Ava, Caden and Amelia. Tink, as she was known to one-and-all, graduated from Hagerstown High School, and attended nursing school at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She was also an active member of Order of the Eastern Star chapters Prudence #95 and Plymouth #91. The family will receive friends 10 to 11AM and hold a funeral service at 11 AM on Thursday, July 28th, at 11:00 am at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Road, Winfield, Maryland 21784. The interment service will follow at 2:00 pm at Rest Haven cemetery 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21742, The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Springhill Home Health and Hospice, 10 Mobile Street, Mobile, Alabama 36607.

Robert Abrahm Schuman, 84 of Fort Pierce Formerly of Randallstown, MD, died Monday July25, 2011 at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the spouse of Ann June Schuman and predeceased spouse Mary J. Schuman. Mr. Schuman was born October 8, 1926 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Benjamin and late Edith (Stulman) Schuman. He was a Heating and Plumbing Salesman for Schumacher and Seiler. A US Army Veteran, Active in Holy Family R.C. Randallstown and St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Towson, He was a long time Boy Scout Leader for Troop 970 Randallstown. Surviving in addition to current spouse are Children and their spouses, Joan and Tim Samples of Purcellville, VA, Dan and Cathy Schuman of Owings Mills, Ann Schuman of Hanover, PA, Laura and Mike Riley of Glenelg, Julie and Bryan Pearson of Ormond Beach, FL, Michael and Michele Schuman of Manchester, Shawn and Mercy Schuman of Taneytown, Grandchildren; Jill, Ryan, Megan, Rose, Shannon, Jesse, Danielle, Rachel, Cameron, Bryan, Alex, Christine, Colin, Grace, Joseph and Isaiah; Great-Grandchildren Ashley and Lily. Preceded in death by Brother Dave Schuman. Funeral Services will be held Thursday July 28, 2011 2:00 PM at The Old Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 10636 Liberty Rd. Randallstown, MD 21133. Piotr Sokolinski 68 of Westminster, MD, died Monday July 25, 2011 at his home. He was the spouse of Wanda E. (Stasiewiez) Sokolinski. He was born October 12, 1942 in Lithuania. The son of the late Jan Sololinski and the late Maria (Adamonis) Sokolinski. He was and Woodworker for 43yrs for Eastern Stairs. He enjoyed Fishing and Hunting. Surviving in addition to his wife are Grandson Carl Remus Crawford and Great-grandson Luke Trotta. Son-in-law and Daughter-in-law Connie and Carl Crawford. Preceded in death by daughter Ina Crawford and Grandson Robert Sokolinski. Funeral Services will take place Friday July 29, 2011 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd.
