Clegg, Frederick
Frederick Clegg 76 of Marriottsville, MD, died Saturday January 23, 2010 at Seasons Hospice in Randalllstown. Mr. Clegg was born November 3, 1933 in Paris VA. He was a Roller Mill Operator for Proctor Silex. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving him are Sons Fred M. Clegg and Jim R. Clegg both of Marriottsville and Daughters and Son-in-laws Sharon and Jack Cowart of Eldersburg, Gail and Eddie Naill of Union Bridge and Judy and Scott Bullock of Hanover, PA Brother Kelsey Clegg, Grandchildren Kelly and Ryan Bullock, Rebecca and husband Dan Kaufman, Kate Cowart, Jeremy and Jake Naill Great-grandsons Bryan Bullock and Blake Kaufman. Friends may call Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784, where Funeral Services will take place Friday January 29, 2010 11 AM. Interment Lake View Memorial Park.

Tittle, Beatrice M.
Beatrice Marie (Lacy) Tittle, 72 of New Windsor, died January 23, 2010 at Golden Living in Westminster. She was the spouse of 37 years of the late Meredith F. Tittle. Mrs. Tittle was born February 13, 1937 in Charleston, WV. The daughter of the late Lawrence Lacy and the late Mary Catherine (Newhouse) Tittle. For many years, Beatrice and her family were active members of the Chase Church of God, in Chase, MD where she was committed to the children’s ministry and the church choir. She drove a school bus with a perfect driving record for 20 years, first in Baltimore County and then in Carroll County, after the family moved from Chase to New Windsor, MD Beatrice also was a popular health care worker at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster for a number of years before her retirement . Beatrice by nature was artistic and loved to sing. Family and friends remember her as warm and fun-loving, with a youthful spirit. She was also loved the outdoors, especially the mountains, which reminded her of her childhood home in West Virginia. Beartrice was affectionately called “Bea” all of her life by those closest to her. Surviving are Children and their spouses Cindy and Jim Maggio of Damascus, Fred and Donna Tittle of Chestertown and Shari and Mike Hyser of New Windsor. Also survived by Four granddaughters and Three grandsons. The family will receive friends on Saturday January 30, 2010 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 from 9:30 to 10:30 when Funeral Services will begin. Interment will be in Holly Hills cemetery, Middle River, MD . Those desiring may make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1850 York Rd. Suite D Timonium, MD 21093.

Niederleher, Judy
Judy (McMichael) Niederleher 62, of Mt. Airy, MD, Died January 26 2010 while visiting with her sister in Severn, MD. She was the spouse of the late Kurt Malcolm Mattis Niederlehner. She was born October 24, 1947 in Cheverly, MD the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin McMichael and late Dolores M (Ager) McMichael. She was a homemaker. She had a lot of love for people and would do anything for people that are in need. Adored her grandchildren and was very proud of them. Surviving are her Daughter and Son-in-law Debbie Lynn and Joseph Conrad Konczal of Mt. Airy. Grandchildren: Elizabeth Marie, Benjamin Conrad, and Andrew Mattis Konczal all of Mt. Airy. Sisters : Mary Jane Stallard of Severn and Jenny Rippey of Germantown and Brother Benjamin McMichael of Columbia, MD. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday January 30, 2010 10:30 AM at Goshen Mennonite Church, 8410 Brink Rd. Laytonsville, MD 20882 with the Pastor Ezra Maust officiating. A meal will be provided after services and everyone is welcome. Those desiring may make contributions to Goshen Mennonite Church.

Herbert, Lottie M.
Lottie M. Herbert (nee Hare), age 84, formerly of Sykesville, died at her home in Ft. Pierce, FL. She was born December 11, 1925 in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina the daughter of the late Claude J. Hare and the late Daisy Mims Hare. She retired from the A & P meat Department. She was a former member of Elders Baptist Church in Eldersburg. She was the wife of the late Elton W. Herbert. She was the mother of Sandra Whitmore of Westminster, Pamela Hargrove of Ft. Pierce, FL, Jeannie Stark of Reisterstown, Linda Thompson of New Windsor, and the late Connie Koenig. She was the sister of Marvin Haire of Richmond, VA, Lemon Ray Hare of Chesapeake, VA and A.J. Hare of Buies Creek, North Carolina. She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Loving grandmother of Floyd Flowers, Edward Edmonds and Casey Chappell. Great grandmother of Brandon Barrett, Lexy Edmonds, Taylor Edmonds and Hailey Chappell. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held Thursday February 4, 2010 at 11:30 AM at Elders Baptist Church, 1216 Liberty Road, Sykesville with Rev. Jim Edmonson officiating. Interment will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD.

Justine Ford-Euler, age 58, of Ocean City, MD, formerly of Baltimore, died Friday January 29, 2010 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD. She was born January 3, 1952 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of Jerome Ford, Sr. of Frederick and the late Clara Benesch Ford. She was a receptionist in the medical field. She worked at Pizza Hut in Ocean City. She did a lot of volunteer and community service. She was wife of John C. Euler of Ocean City. She was the mother of Christopher Ford of Woodstock, MD. She was the sister of Anna Burd of CA, Jerome Ford of Emmitsburg, Max Weinstein of Anne Arundel County, and Lawrence Weinstein of Colorado. She was the grandmother of Rhiana Ford. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Carter, Elise R.
Elise Rebecca Carter, formerly of Chestertown, MD, died on February 1, 2010 at the age of 91 while a resident of Senior Constant Care in Winfield, MD. She was born in Caroline County, MD on October 15, 1918. On July 3, 1947, she married the late George W. Carter, III. Elise worked as a bookkeeper for Delmarva Power in Chestertown prior to her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chestertown. She is survived by her two daughters: Vicki Carter of Salisbury, Md, Christi Karman and her husband Tim of Westminster Md., two grandchildren: Rebecca Gondak and her husband James of Annapolis, Md and Michael Karman and his wife Kristen of Evans Ga. Elise is also survived by 5 great grandchildren: Carter and Logan Gondak and Angela, Thomas and Nathaniel Karman. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s cemetery in Chestertown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elise’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association ALZ.ORG.

Cullison, Sterling E.
Sterling Earle Cullison, 85 of Mt. Airy, MD, died Thursday January 28, 2010 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was the spouse of 52 years to the late Frances Yingling Cullison who died in 1995. He was born September 29, 1924 in Hampstead, MD the son of the late Clara Burk Cullison Fowble and Richard Earle Cullison. Mr. Cullison was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy, He graduated from Hampstead High School in 1941 and Stayer Business School. He served in the United States Army during WWII stationed in the United States. He worked for Warfield Chevrolet, Clements Chevrolet and was the owner and operator of Liberty Dry cleaning and Laundromat until retirement in 1989. He drove part time for Jeff Barnes Chevrolet. Was a member of Mt. Airy Lions Club and Gold Star American Legion Post 191 in Mt. Airy, MD. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, dancing and big band music. He liked to spend January thru April in Florida and enjoyed bus trips in his later years. He is survived by his Daughters and son-in-laws Sandy deWitt and Doug Dutterer of Mt. Airy, Connie Sue and Ronnie Shipley of Frostburg. Son and daughter-in-law Larry E. and Mickey Cullison of Kingwood, WV. 6 Grandchildren; Jennifer Cullison Stanford, Amy Cullison, Gretchen deWitt Laufer, Matthew deWitt, Jessica and Jackson Shipley. 2 Step-grandchildren Debby Benefield, Dan Dutterer, 6 great grandchildren: Meghan, Madison, Kaci, Ryan, Brooke, Jayden. 2 step great grandchildren Justin, Jakob. And a very Special Friend Ruth Knatz of Hampstead. He is preceded in death by Sister Iona Mae Cullison. Memorial Services will take place Friday February 5, 2010 11:00 AM at Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 South Main St. Mt. Airy, MD 21771 with Rev. Dennis Yocum officiating. Inurnment Private at a later date. The family will receive friends on Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Tenny, Jr., Lynn W.
Lynn W. Tenny, Jr., age 80, of Boonsboro, died Thursday February 4, 2010, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD. He was born November 18, 1929 in Elmira, New York, the son of the late Lynn W. Tenny, Sr. and the late Charlotte Cooper Tenny. He was a grocery manager for Safeway for 43 years. He served in the US Navy from May 6, 1947 till January 20, 1950. He was pilot of his own plane. He was the father of Penny L. Falls of Hagerstown, Nancy Diann Impellizzeri of Hagerstown and Bobbi Bierman of New Windsor. Brother of Donald Tenny of Florida. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Spittel, Gordon H.
Gordon H. Spittel, 93 of Westminster, MD, died Wednesday February 10, 2010 at the Dove House. He was the spouse of Anna Carrie (Kaiss) Spittel. He was born October 30, 1916 in Baltimore, MD the Son of the late George L. Spittel and late Anna (Beck) Spittel. Mr. Spittel was a retired Telecommunications Engineer for C & P Telephone and worked with the Bell Companies for over 40 years. He was a member of Westminster VFW and American Legion. A Life Member of the Telephone Pioneers. He was former member of Westminster Kiwanis Club, Enjoyed collecting Trains, Model Cars and Clocks. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Surviving him in addition to his wife are Daughter and Son-in-law Barbara and Curtis Fahholz of DE. Daughter: Deborah Pickett – Spittel of Westminster, Sister Elizabeth Ann Martz of Timonium. Grandchildren: Rachel Lynn Bournival, Andrew Curtis Fahsholz and Jessica Lynn Pickett. Preceded in death by Son: late Gordon H. Spittel, Jr. and Brothers Louis and George Spittel. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday February 15, 2010 11 Am at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Kevin Clementson officiating. Interment will be in Messiah Lutheran Church cemetery, Berrett, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Munshower, Florence C.
Florence Catherine Munshower 85 of Westminster, MD, died Tuesday February 9, 2010 at the University of MD Medical Center. She was the spouse of the late Lake William Leroy Munshower. She was born June 17, 1924 in Carroll County MD the daughter of the late Charles Nickoles and the late Myrtle R. (Merryman) Nickoles. She was a Homemaker and an Avid Gardener. Surviving are Children: Richard Munshower of Easton, Joan Meekins of Hanover, PA, Gerald Munshower of Parker, FL, Ronald Munshower of Clearville, PA and Brenda Frebertshauser of Westminster, 11 Grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will take place Monday 7:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Private Inurnment in Lake View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4PM and 6 PM until time of service at 7 PM.

Lucas, Jr., Eugene M.
On Monday, February 15th, 2010, “Geno” worked in the restaurant field for many years. He and Erika owned Let it Ride Beach Stands in OC, Md. Gene was a huge Ravens and Terps Basketball fan. One of his greatest joys was fishing off the pier in his own back yard with his faithful dog Roxie by his side. Gene always wore a smile on his face and those who knew him soon came to realize what a special person he was. Gene was loved and will be missed by his many, many friends. “My Brother”. He was born February 21, 1964 in Baltimore, MD. Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 100th Street, Ocean City, MD, Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive guests at 1:30 p.m.

She was born April 7, 1918 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Edward Scheidt and the late Edith Slonaker Scheidt. She was the wife of Vernon E. Hornberger, Jr. of Sykesville and the late Earl W. Tucker. She was a Housewife. She was the mother of Earl W. Tucker, Jr. and wife Beth of Allentown, PA and Paul E. Tucker and wife Sherry of Sykesville, MD. Also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W.
