Ethel V. Anderson
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Ethel Virginia Roberson Anderson, 77, of 1011 Second Ave., died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at her home.
Born Aug. 1, 1920, in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Hazel Dell Dean Roberson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry William Anderson, in 1977.
She was retired from National Geographic Society at Gaithersburg, Md.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church at Petersville, Md.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Kelbaugh of Brownsville, Md., and Glinda Moss of Brunswick; one sister, Dorothy Polan of Cumberland, Md.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two friends, Marie Pentley and Violet Benner.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lottie Conner and Bessie Broderick; two brothers, Howard Roberson and Roger Roberson; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, Petersville. The Rev. Edward A. Jordan, the Rev. Jack Marcum and the Rev. Boyd Frank will officiate. Burial will be in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.
The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

David C. Small
David C. Small, 37, of Indian Cottage Road, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born May 14, 1960, in Smyrna, Ga., he was the son of Janet L. Ankerbrand Small of Hagerstown and the late Roy M. Small.
He worked as a sales representative for R.J. Reynolds Co. in Austin, Texas, and later in the Hagerstown area as a life insurance representative.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Nancy C. Hamilton of Boonsboro and Sue Ellen Kline of Maugansville; and one brother, Randy B. Carpenter of Hagerstown.
Graveside services will be held Monday at the convenience of the family at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg, Pa.
Arrangements are by Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.
Earl M. Corderman
Earl Martin Corderman, 79, of 521 Frederick St., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at the home of his daughter in Myersville, Md.
Born Dec. 5, 1917, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Luther H. and Irene Alice LeFever Corderman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Rhodes Corderman, in 1980.
He was employed by Victor Products for 30 years. Earlier he was employed by Eastern Products for 10 years.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where he served as a council member, usher, Property Committee member, and Luther Sunday School Class member.
He was a member of Eagles Club of Waynesboro, Pa., and West Hagerstown Lions Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Suzann C. Palmer of Myersville; two sisters, Charlotte Witherspoon and Pauline Everhart, both of Hagerstown; one brother, Roscoe Corderman of Smithsburg; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and friends Gale Koogle and Clarence and Mary Lou Koontz, all of Hagerstown.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Corderman, Ernest Corderman and Howard Corderman.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. David B. Kaplan will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Myersville.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.

Paul J. Wilhide
MAUGANSVILLE - Paul Jacob "Peanie" Wilhide, 89, of 13824 Distant View Ave., died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at Williamsport Nursing Home, Williamsport.
Born Sept. 19, 1908, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Edgar and Eva Lowery Wilhide.
He was the owner of Wilhide Dairy for 33 years. Later he was employed by Western Maryland State Hospital and Washington County Parks.
He was a member of Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 378 and a life member of Maugansville Fire Co.
He is survived by his wife, Vada M. Wilhide, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Fuss; and three brothers, Arthur Wilhide, Harold Wilhide and Donald Wilhide.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Pastor Leon Yoder will officiate.
Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.

Connie L. Williams
SMITHSBURG - Connie Lee Williams, 60, of 21916 Holiday Drive, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born May 10, 1937, in Antietam Furnace, Md., she was the daughter of the late John D. and Nellie M. Boyer Gray.
She was employed with Londontown Corp. in Boonsboro for 20 years.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Keedysville.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth L. Williams; one daughter, Kendra K. Kaetzel of Gapland, Md.; two sons, Michael R. Williams of Woodbridge, Va., and Brett K. Williams of Hagerstown; one sister, Beverly J. Wade of Hagerstown; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda L. Grim.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Kenneth J. Fizer Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Louise V. McCallum
Louise V. McCallum, 93, formerly of 100 Stone Croft Court, Hagerstown, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 1997, at Clearview Nursing Home.
Born Sept. 22, 1904, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charley W. and Emma Uglow Kunkle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick L. McCallum, in 1971.
She is survived by two sisters, Charlotte Vick and Irene Stover, both of Hagerstown; two brothers Jack V. Kunkle and Charley W. Kunkle Jr., both of Hagerstown; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Rose G. McCauley
Rose Grace McCauley, 80, of 12 Walnut St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, at her home.
Born Nov. 10, 1917, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Mary Elizabeth McCarter Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Milford McCauley.
She was retired from Western Maryland Hospital; and was previously employed with Washington County Hospital.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she was a member of a prayer group.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia A. Smith and Darlene M. Yetter, both of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Linda L. Bonds of Clear Spring; two sons, Denton L. McCauley of Williamsport and Kenneth J. McCauley of Falling Waters, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Donald M. McCauley Jr.; two sisters, Catherine Koons and Virginia Moore; and one brother, Thomas H. Moore Jr.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 226 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, Md. 21740.
Gladys A. Blickenstaff
WOLFSVILLE, Md. - Gladys A. Blickenstaff, 92, of Wolfsville, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 10, 1905, in Wolfsville, she was the daughter of the late Asbury E. and Mary Virginia Valentine Hoover.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Wolfsville for more than 70 years.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harry G. Blickenstaff Jr.; two sons, Marvin Lee Blickenstaff of Wolfsville and George E. Blickenstaff of Myersville, Md.; one sister, Elizabeth Biser of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church in Wolfsville. The Rev. Randall Reid, the Rev. Hayden Sparks and the Rev. Ronald Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery in Wolfsville.
The family will receive friends at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville, today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Louise E. King
Louise Elizabeth King, 58, of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born April 25, 1939, in Grimes, Va., she was the daughter of the late Odis Raymond and Mary Elizabeth McCarty Sine.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by two sons, Mark A. King and Anthony W. King, both of Hagerstown; three brothers, Raymond Sine of Hagerstown, Henry Sine of Columbia, S.C., and James Sine of Chewsville; and one granddaughter.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. There will be no viewing.
