Charles B. Faulhaber
Charles B. Faulhaber, 91, of 829 Armstrong Ave., Hagerstown, and a resident of Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 20, 1906, in Budapest, Hungary, he was the son of the late Adam and Frances Faulhaber.
He retired from Mintie Co. of Washington, D.C.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a member of Dixon Troxell Post 211 Funkstown American Legion, W.D. Byron Post 1936 Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS Post 10, and A.F. of L. Union B. of P.D. and P. of America.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Faulhaber; two sons, Charles A. Faulhaber of Clinton, Md., and Joseph N. Faulhaber of Stafford, Va.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Ballestar and Frances Cotton; and one brother, Joseph Faulhaber.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Rachel E. Black will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Mary E. Koons
Mary Elizabeth Koons, 92, formerly of 217 Longview Drive, Hagerstown, who died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, is survived by a daughter, Genevieve E. Pearson of Champlin, Minn.; and one son, George S. Koons Jr. of Hagerstown.
Friends may call at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.
Vera H. Adams
BOONSBORO - Vera Hutson Adams, 73, of 20767 Beaver Creek Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 11, 1924, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Mae Hutson.
She was employed by Potomac Edison Co. in Statistical Property Records.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served with the tape ministries, and as a Sunday school teacher.
She was a member of Leitersburg Homemakers, American Legion Morris Frock Post 42 Auxiliary, Potomac Edison Forerunners Club, AARP, and a charter member of Beaver Creek Country Club.
She is survived by her husband, Charles A. "Chuck" Adams; and one cousin.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Christopher J. Chantelau will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Carroll E. Haines
FREDERICK, Md. - Carroll Eugene Haines, 73, of 4623 Araby Church Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at his home.
Born May 27, 1924, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Ira and Amy Bussard Haines.
He retired as service manager of Frederick Natural Gas Co., after 28 years. Prior to that, he was employed by Fairchild Industries of Hagerstown for 16 years.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ of Frederick.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Catherine V. Hall Haines; one son, Ernie E. Haines of Middletown, Md.; two sisters, Anna Rudy of Middletown and Viola Shank of Frederick; three brothers, Merle Haines of Braddock Heights, Md., Charles Haines and Guy Haines, both of Middletown; two grandsons; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The Rev. Joseph R. Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
Friends may call Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Marlene E. Commer
WILLIAMSPORT - Marlene Elizabeth Commer, 57, of 11417 Pinesburg Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 24, 1940, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Carl Antonio and Jettie Marie Garrett Bellomo.
She previously was employed with Stanley Co. of Chambersburg, Pa. for 28 years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Commer; one daughter, Barbara Lynn Arnsparger of Williamsport; three sons, Anthony E. Commer and Michael Commer, both of Williamsport, and Eugene Commer Jr. of Clear Spring; four sisters, Betty Sigel, Joyce Farris, Patricia Wright and Shirley Churchey, all of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne Commer.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Jack Fullen will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Shirley L. Repp
CLEAR SPRING - Shirley Louise Repp, 65, of 14727 St. Paul Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 23, 1933, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late James Luther and Lucy C. Schmidt Younker.
She was a graduate of Hagerstown Business College.
She formerly was employed by Fairchild Industries of Hagerstown. She retired from Mack Trucks of Hagerstown as a computer operator in the engineering department.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church of Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Repp; one sister, Rosalee C. Light of Hagerstown; one brother, James L. Younker Jr. of Hancock; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Jean Younker.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Stone Bridge Church Cemetery, Hancock. The Rev. Harry E. Strite will officiate.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

Beatrice C. Brady
Beatrice C. Brady, 85, of 522 Brown Ave., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village, Hagerstown.
Born June 14, 1912, in Woodsboro, Md., she was the daughter of the late William A. Watkins Sr. and Margaret Ramsburg Watkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roland Brady, in 1996.
She was a former manager of W. B. General Store in Brunswick, Md. She earlier worked as an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance Co.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by one son, John Reed Brady of Hagerstown; one brother, William Watkins Jr. of Frederick, Md.; two grandsons, Sean Brady of Easthampton, Mass., and Richard Brady of Largo, Fla.; one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Wenner, in 1967.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Cornelius A. Eyler Sr.
SMITHSBURG - Cornelius A. "Gus" Eyler Sr., 75, of 19 Blue Mountain Estates, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1998, at his home.
Born June 3, 1922, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Clarence H. and Clara V. McClellan Eyler.
He was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church.
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a supervisor at Mack Trucks From 1951 to 1963, he had been employed as a Hagerstown city police officer.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II.
He was a member of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion; and BPO Elks Lodge 378.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen E. Smith Eyler, in 1990.
He is survived by three daughters, Sheila E. Moser of Chambersburg, Pa., Evelyn A. Martin and Susan A. Kauffman, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Clarence H. Eyler and Cornelius A. Eyler Jr., both of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his companion, Dorothy Carty of Smithsburg.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Cline and Mildred Wasson; and six brothers, Jack Eyler, Gerald Eyler, Clifton Eyler, Robert Eyler, Clarence Eyler and Elvin Eyler.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 9 Maple Ave., Smithsburg. The Rev. Elaine Prince will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

Helen J. Rudolph
Helen Jeanette Rudolph, 85, of 17630 Meadowood Drive, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, at Williamsport Nursing Home, Williamsport.
Born June 24, 1912, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annetta DiGiorgio Scalco.
She is survived by one son, James F. Rudolph of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Concettia Ackenback.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown. The Rev. Michael T. Buttner will be celebrant. Burial will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Cockeysville, Md.
