Milo C. Fales III

MARIETTA, Ga. - Milo C. Fales III, 44, of Marietta, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Sunday, March 1, 1998.

He was born in Hagerstown.

He attended Georgia State University.

He was president and C.E.O. of Norga Investment Management Group of Marietta for the past six years.

He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

He was a founding member of Center Stage North Theater Co., Marietta.

He is survived by his father, M. Clark Fales Jr. of Marietta; grandmother, Helen Fales of Kennesaw, Ga.; three brothers, Brad Fales Sr., and Kevin Fales, both of Marietta, and Kurt Fales of Kennesaw; two nieces; two nephews; two aunts; and two uncles.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Medford-Peden Funeral Home, 1408 Canton Highway, N.E., Marietta. The Rev. Ken Terrell will officiate. Burial will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Promina Northwest Hospice, 55 S. Medical Drive, Marietta, Ga. 30060; or to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta, Ga. 30319.

Doris E.G. Beliveau

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - Doris E. Gossard Beliveau, 62, of 328 Main St., and formerly of Big Spring, died Sunday, March 1, 1998, at her home.

Born Jan. 23, 1936, in Big Spring, she was the daughter of Anna Murray Gossard of Big Spring, and the late Samuel Mason Gossard.

She graduated from Clear Spring High School, and Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore as a registered nurse.

She was a member of North Andover Womens Club and North Andover Historical Society.

She enjoyed reading, gardening and travel.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 41 years, Dr. Eugene A. Beliveau; three sons, Dr. E. Charles Beliveau and Matthew Beliveau, both of North Andover, and David Beliveau of Hudson, N.H.; one sister, Donna Moore of Hancock; three brothers, Thomas Gossard and Samuel Gossard, both of Clear Spring, and Dean Gossard of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. C. Andrew Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Harold R. Myers

CLEAR SPRING - Harold Ray "Moe" Myers, 72, of 223 Cumberland St., died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born May 2, 1925, in Big Spring, he was the son of the late Jesse Perkins and Corinne Mazie Suffecool Myers.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during World War II.

He was a former employee of Fairchild Industries; and retired from Chessie System.

He served on the Clear Spring Town Council and as assistant mayor. He was a member of Joseph Herbert American Legion Post 222 of Clear Spring; and Last Man's Club.

He is survived by his wife, Edith R. Kershner Myers, whom he married June 12, 1948; one daughter, Carole S. Robinson of Clear Spring; one son, Steven R. Myers of Clear Spring; one grandson; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister; a sister, Gladys Mummert; and a brother, Charles Thomas Myers.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. Dr. Terrence Foor will officiate. Burial with full military honors by Joseph C. Herbert Post will be at Little Rose Hill Cemetery of Clear Spring.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Clear Spring Ambulance Club, P.O. Box 61, Clear Spring, Md. 21722.

Thomas A. Shackelford Sr.

KNOXVILLE, Md. - Thomas "Tommy" Allen Shackelford Sr., 58, of 4320 Burkittsville Road, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.

Born Oct. 20, 1939, in Fredericksburg, Va., he was the son of the late Allen Franklin and Bertha Cooley Shackelford.

He was a dairy farmer and owned and operated the D&D Tire Co., Halltown, W.Va.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Brunswick, Md.

He was a life member of Brunswick Volunteer Fire Co. and Brunswick Ambulance Co.

He is survived by is wife, Dorothy Gaynor Ring Shackelford; two sons, Thomas Allen Shackelford Jr. of Knoxville and Allen Lee Shackelford of Charles Town, W.Va.; one stepdaughter, Joslyn Ring Noland of Kearneysville, W.Va.; one stepson, Franklin Ring Jr. of Charles Town; two brothers, Wayne Shackelford and Robert Shackelford, both of Knoxville; and six grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The Rev. Daniel Spiker and the Rev. Ralph Buddenhagen will officiate. Burial will be in Brownsville Heights Cemetery, Brownsville Heights, Md.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Ann M. Hetzer

CLEAR SPRING - Ann Mary Hetzer, 76, of 13530 National Pike, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, at University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore.

Born June 8, 1921, in Bentwood, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angelo Maria DeCola Domenico.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Hagerstown.

She is survived by her husband, George Hetzer; two daughters, Mary Ann Sharer and Betty Jean Myers, both of Clear Spring; one son, David Anthony Hetzer of Clear Spring; one sister, Mary McKnight of Williamsburg, Va.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Wiemer and Yvonne Long; and two brothers, Jimmy Domenico and Lou Domenico.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Hagerstown. Father Andy Mohl will be celebrant. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

Prayers will be offered Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, with the family receiving friends following prayer from 7 to 9 p.m.

Janice E. Goff

Janice E. Goff, 67, of 16131 Spade Road, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Nov. 26, 1930, in Hagerstown, she was the stepdaughter of Helen E. Goff of Hagerstown and the daughter of the late James H. and Lucille Dyche Goff.

She was in the Washington County Association for Retarded Citizens Program.

She was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to her stepmother, she is survived by one brother, Robert C. Goff of Hagerstown.

Graveside services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Diane R. Stuver

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Diane Renae Thomas Stuver, 29, of St. Augustine, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at Flagler Hospital East, St. Augustine.

Born Dec. 26, 1968, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Kenneth W. and Bonnie L. Kopp Thomas Jr. of Hagerstown.

She was a 1986 graduate of Williamsport High School; and a graduate of Boulder Fashion School in Atlanta, Ga.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Good News Presbyterian Church, St. Augustine; and formerly a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamsport.

She is survived by her husband, David Keith Stuver of St. Augustine; one daughter, Deidra Renae Stuver, at home; one son, Devin Karl Stuver, at home; one brother, Kenneth W. Thomas III of Falling Waters, W.Va.; maternal grandmother, Phyllis L. Kopp of Tilghmanton; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Cline of St. James; paternal grandfather, Kenneth W. Thomas Sr. of Halfway; paternal stepgrandmother, June Thomas of Halfway; paternal stepgrandfather, Robert Cunningham of Hagerstown; one niece and one nephew; and aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles L. Kopp; and her paternal grandmother, Hilda L. Cunningham.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 37 W. Potomac St., Williamsport. Vicar Marty Roberson and the Rev. Bill Neal will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The funeral home will be open Friday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.

Pauleman J. Castle

HANCOCK - Pauleman J. Castle, 78, of Willow Road, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.

Born June 30, 1919, in Cherry Run, W.Va., he was the son of the late Edgar Randolph and Blanche M. Smith Harvey Castle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona June Castle, in 1976.

He attended Red Hill one-room school in Cherry Run.

He served with the U.S. Army, during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He was an agriculture equipment operator for Fairview Orchards, Hancock. Earlier, he was employed by coal mines in Western Maryland; and Western Maryland Railroad.

He attended Hancock Assembly of God Church, Hancock.

He was a member of VFW Post 10502; and Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion, both in Hancock.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet Y. Blankley of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Glenda Nickleson of Hancock; three sons, David Castle and Michael Castle, both of Little Orleans, Md., and Danny Castle of Lakeland, Fla.; one half sister, Mary Golden of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The Rev. Charles W. Helms will officiate. Burial will be in Turner Cemetery.

Diane R. Stuver
