John B. Seibert
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - John Benjamin Seibert, 41, formerly of Clear Spring, died of injuries suffered in a boating accident on Saturday, May 2, 1998, in South Pittsburg, Tenn.
Born Nov. 12, 1956, in Clear Spring, he was the son of Virginia R. Miles Seibert of Clear Spring and the late Daniel K. Seibert.
He was a graduate of Clear Spring High School, Hagerstown Junior College and Shepherd College.
He was plant controller of Collegedale Casework Inc. in Collegedale, Tenn.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was a staff sergeant in the Army Reserve in Tennessee.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Clear Spring, attended Church of the Holy Trinity in Halfway and Christ United Methodist Church in Chattanooga.
An outdoorsman, he hunted, fished and played golf.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sally L. Highbarger Seibert; a son, Benjamin Miles Seibert, at home; two sisters, Cassandra R. Wilhide of Taneytown, Md., and Mariann Saloom of Clear Spring; three brothers, Paul A. Seibert of Lynchburg, Va., and James K. Seibert and D. Timothy Seibert, both of Clear Spring; and nieces and nephews.
Private services will be in Clear Spring at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Thomas Perry and the Rev. Brian Moore will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Harry L. Fulmer
FREDERICK, Md. - Harry Leon Fulmer, 83, of Old National Pike, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at his daughter's home.
Born Dec. 25, 1914, in Frederick County, Md., he was the son of the late L. Norman and Esta Baer Fulmer.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Caroletta Hildebrand Fulmer in 1951 and Pauline Hildebrand Fulmer in 1990.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1979.
He was a member of Edgewood Church of God, Frederick.
He was a member of AMVETS of Frederick and Modern Woodman.
He gardened.
He is survived by two daughters, Charlene Keyser and JoAnn Sensenig, both of Braddock, Md.; a son, William L. Fulmer of Braddock; and six grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Edgewood Church of God, 8204 Edgewood Church Road, Frederick. Burial will be in Middletown Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The funeral home will be open from 2 to 9 p.m.

Frances M. Mulford
WILLIAMSPORT - Frances Mears Mulford, 86, of 16505 Virginia Ave., died Friday, May 1, 1998, at Homewood Retirement Center.
Born Dec. 29, 1911, in Pungoteague, Accomac County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Benjamin and Hallie Battaile Mears.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ephraim Roland Mulford.
She graduated from Hollins College.
She taught mathematics at St. Mary's Hall, Doane Academy, Burlington, N.J., from 1954 until her retirement in 1987.
She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Burlington and attended St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown.
She was a member of the Virginia Chapter of Colonial Dames, the American Association of University Women, Washington County Historical Society and Washington County Retired Teachers' Association.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances M. Young of Hagerstown and Martha M. Gray of Frederick, Md.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Homewood Retirement Center.
Funeral services will be at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Burlington, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Hall, 350 W. Delaware Ave., Burlington, N.J. 08016; or to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 145 W. Broad St., Burlington, N.J. 08016.

Ellsworth M. Renner
WILLIAMSPORT - Ellsworth M. Renner, 78, of Clear Spring Road, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Aug. 20, 1919, in Sharpsburg, he was the son of the late Edward T. and Nora A. Pierce Renner.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of American Legion Post 202, Williamsport; Red Men Club 84, Williamsport; Thomas Pangborn Lodge 88, Hagerstown; and 40 & 8 Voitore 651, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret L. Banzhoff Renner; two daughters, Judy Tenny of Charles Town, W.Va. and Connie Wahl of Frederick, Md.; a brother, Richard Renner of Williamsport; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Bowers; and two brothers, Charles Renner and Willis Renner.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Williamsport at the convenience of the family.

Amos A. Ahalt
JEFFERSON, Md. - Amos Atlee Ahalt, 83, of 3812 Jefferson Pike, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born April 29, 1915, near Burkittsville, Md., he was the son of the late Luther Benjamin and Mary Gross Ahalt.
He retired from farming near Middletown, Md., in 1974.
He was a member of Jefferson United Church of Christ.
He was a member of Jefferson Volunteer Fire Co.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Morrison Ahalt; two sons, Amos Benjamin Ahalt and Ronald William Ahalt Sr., both of Jefferson; a sister, Evelyn Ahalt Morrison of Jefferson; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. The Revs. Guy E. Wenck and Carroll Lee Boyer will officiate. Burial will be in Reformed Cemetery, Jefferson.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from noon to 9 p.m.

Madeline Frushour Beall
FREDERICK, Md. - Madeline Frushour Beall, 86, formerly of Frederick, died Monday, May 4, at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro.
Born May 15, 1911, in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jenny Brandenburg Blickenstaff.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Frushour, and her second husband, Claude Beall.
She retired from Frederick Memorial Hospital, where she had been a nurse for 25 years.
She was a member of Frederick Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Sulcer of Knoxville and Dorothy Weddle of Frederick; a sister, Pauline Butts of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Beitler; and a brother, Jonas Blickenstaff.
Funeral services will be held at Thursday at 11 a.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville, Md. The Rev. Louis Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Grossnickle Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Myersville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Ethel E. Hanes
SUN CITY, Ariz. - Ethel E. Hanes, 88, of Sun City, formerly of Brunswick, Md., died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Born June 28, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Fanny Belle Emery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Luther Hanes, in 1986.
She was a 1928 graduate of Shepherd College.
Before retiring in 1971 she taught school in Weverton, Sandy Hook, Brownsville and Burkittsville, all in Maryland.
She attended Christ Reform Church in Shepherdstown and Church of the Palms in Sun City.
She is survived by a brother, A.R. Emery of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and five nephews, Adrian Reynolds of Hagerstown, Lewis Emery of Alliance, Ohio, Charles Emery of Albuquerque, and Larry Emery and Wayne Emery, both of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Emery and Carlton Emery.
Private disposition will be Friday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at Sunland Mortuary, Sun City.
Earl R. Andrews Jr.
Earl Robert Andrews Jr., 74, of 19825 Bennie Drive, died Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 14, 1923, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Nellie May Stouffer Andrews of Hagerstown and the late Earl Robert Andrews Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Shirley Andrews.
He attended county schools.
He was employed by General Motors Corp. in Martinsburg, W.Va., and previously worked for Mack Trucks in Hagerstown.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a former member of Christ's Reformed Church.
He was a member of American Legion Post 202 of Williamsport and B.P.O. Elks 378.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Anna Virginia Benedict of Greencastle, Pa., and Aleda May Andrews of Hagerstown; a brother, William L. Andrews of Hagerstown; and a nephew, Howard Bingaman of Greencastle, who took care of him.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
