Lizzie R. Wolfe
Lizzie R. Wolfe, 89, of Coffman Nursing Home, previously residing with her daughter, Phyllis Jean Cline of Garfield, Md., died Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Oct. 5, 1908, in Middlepoint, Md., she was the daughter of the late John C. and Katie Toms Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Wolfe, in 1987.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Garfield United Methodist Church.
She grew strawberries and flowers.
She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Hawk-Baker of Smithsburg, Phyllis Jean Cline of Garfield and Janet Rhae Monn of Cavetown; two sons, Ronald Richard Wolfe of Cavetown and Austin Leon Wolfe of Garfield; 11 grandchildren, including Kathy Wolfe Barlup, whom she raised; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vernie Himes and Kathryn Gaver; and seven brothers, Roger Lewis, Guy Lewis, Homer Lewis, Herman Lewis, Merhle Lewis, Thomas Lewis and Leon Lewis.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville, Md. The Rev. Randall Reid will officiate. Burial will be in Garfield United Methodist Cemetery, Garfield.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Robert F. Domer
Robert Fillmore Domer, 78, of 17537 Woodlawn Drive, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Jan. 1, 1920, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late George W. and Ada Kendel Domer.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II in the Pacific Theatre with the 118th General Hospital Unit.
He retired from Hall's Motor Transportation Co., having served 20 years.
He was a former member of United Brethren Church, Benevola.
He was a member of BPOE 378; VFW Post 1936; American Legion Funkstown Post 211; AMVETS Post 10; Golden Ballroom Dancers; and RSVP.
He is survived by his wife, Clare Margaret Donnelly Domer; one daughter, Jane Elizabeth Goetz of Funkstown; two sons, Barry Robert Domer and Daryl Lyn Domer, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Geraldine Chaney of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two stepgreat-grandsons; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; four brothers; two half sisters; and five half brothers.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. James C. Brinkley will officiate. Military services will be conducted at the graveside by William D. Byron Post 1936.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Louise P. Bell
Louise Powers Bell, 80, of 1053 Fairview Road, Hagerstown, died Monday, May 25, 1998, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home.
Born April 3, 1918, in Brunswick, Md., she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Gertrude Weddle Brown Albert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Bell.
She attended Park Avenue Methodist Church, Brunswick.
She is survived by one son, James F. Powers Sr.; one brother Edward Lee Albert of Brunswick; one sister, Ruth Cooper of Brunswick; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Elder Orval L. Driskell will officiate.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Doris V. Tedrick
Doris V. Tedrick, 82, of 11326 Marbern Road, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, at Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport.
Born Feb. 21, 1916, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Albert N. and Mary E. Norman Cullison and stepdaughter of Lillian Worthington Cullison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carlton "Ted" Tedrick Jr., in 1983.
She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 30 Nottingham Road, Hagerstown. Alan W. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be Thursday in Rose Hill Cemetery.

George F. Poffinberger
George Franklin Poffinberger, 72, of 18639 Crestwood Drive, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 19, 1926, in Bellevue, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Luther and Alice Kemp Poffinberger.
He was a 1944 graduate of Titusville High School; and a 1949 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Cincinnati.
He was a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Hagerstown.
He was employed by Mack Trucks Inc., retiring in 1987 after 23 years.
He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was a member of Haven Lutheran Evangelical Church.
He was a member of Antietam Fire Co. Engine 2; Haven Road Senior Citizens Club; and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Winifred Marshall Poffinberger; three daughters, Linda E. Schpok of Merchantville, N.J., Alice L. Poffinberger of Durham, N.C. and Helen F. Poffinberger of Carroll Valley, Pa.; two sons, Mark K. Poffinberger of Hagerstown and David F. Poffinberger of Williamsport; one sister, Jane Zimmerman of Middletown, Pa.; one brother, William F. Poffinberger of Frederick, Md.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Haven Evangelical Luther Church, 1035 Haven Road, Hagerstown. The Rev. Torben G. Aarsand will officiate. Burial will be Monday, June 1, in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown.
Juanita E. Brundidge
BOONSBORO - Juanita Elizabeth Brundidge, 87, died Thursday, May 28, 1998, at Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home.
Born April 2, 1911, in Brunswick, Md., she was the daughter of the late Nimrod C. and Myrtle H. Barnhart.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Padian, in 1954. They were married in 1927.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Dan Brundidge, in 1991. They were married in 1969.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Harrell of Hagerstown and Joan Shaw of Phoenix; two sons, James Padian of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Ronald Padian of Phoenix; a stepson, Gare Brundidge; a sister; two brothers; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Padian; a grandson; a sister; and three brothers.
Burial will be private.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
Richard O. Jenne
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Richard O. Jenne, 73, of Rutland Manor Nursing Home and formerly of Hagerstown, died Thursday, April 16, 1998, at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Brooklyn.
Born Feb. 11, 1925, in Bristol, Conn., he was the son of the late Howard C. Jenne and Marjorie M. Twiss.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Margaret Mockbee Jenne, in 1985.
He was a World War II veteran, serving with the 143rd Infantry Regiment in Rome, Arno, Southern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. His decorations included the French Croix de Guerre.
After the war, he worked as a bookkeeper in New York City and Hagerstown.
He is survived by cousins, George Twiss of Climax, Mich., Allen Twiss of Frederick, Md., Harry Twiss of Stratford, Conn., Patricia Flynn of East Hampton, Conn., Jonathan Twiss of Hartford, Conn., and Alison Powell of Peterborough, N.H.
A graveside memorial service will be Saturday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at Austerlitz Cemetery, Austerlitz, N.Y.
Memorial donations may be made to American Paralysis Association, 500 Morris Ave., Springfield, N.J. 07081.

Charles W. Payne
SANDY HOOK - Charles Wilbur Payne, 68, of Sandy Hook, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.
Born Jan. 16, 1930, in Sandy Hook, he was the son of the late Charles Alton and Edith Goldie Myers Payne Sr.
He retired as a carpenter in the construction industry.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1136, Brunswick, Md.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Payne; one stepdaughter, Mary C. Reynolds of Sandy Hook; one stepson, Mike Norris of Brunswick; one sister, Viola Waters of Brunswick; one brother, Daniel Payne of Martinsburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Snoots and Mae Deener; one brother, Charles A. Payne Jr.; two stepsons, Quentin E. Norris Jr. and Francis Norris; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be Monday, June 1, at 3 p.m. at Samples Manor Cemetery, Samples Manor, Md. The Rev. Daniel L. Montague III will officiate.
