Lillian L. Kinsey

Lillian Louise Kinsey, 68, of 1813 Winston Drive, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at her home.

Born March 27, 1930, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Max Frederick and Pearl Elizabeth Lashley Wolfe.

She received her GED when she was 55 years old.

Along with her husband, she owned and operated Rocco's Italian Restaurant for 23 years.

She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. She was a member of Christian Women's Club; and Prison Outreach Ministry.

She was the founder of Families Anonymous Hagerstown Chapter.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Leon G. Kinsey; two daughters, Patricia Anne Rohrer and Diana Lynn Burke, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Ronald Gail Kinsey of Boonsboro and Brian Ellsworth Kinsey of Hagerstown; seven sisters, Kathryn Poffenberger and Barbara Miller, both of Hagerstown, Rose Crow, Roberta Link, Donna Mathis and Lillie Leonard, all of Michigan, and Nancy Freitag of Oregon; one brother, Gene Wolfe of Hagerstown; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Elizabeth Beyer and Doris Ann Wolf Riethmeier; and one brother, Robert Eugene Wolfe.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Charles Orr and the Rev. James Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 101 E. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, Md. 21740; or Joanne Rockwell House, John's Hopkins Hospital, 1910 E. Jefferson St., Baltimore, Md. 21205.

Jessie L. Hoover

HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Jessie L. Hoover, 90, of Hyattsville, formerly of Hustontown, Pa., died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at Prince George's Medical Center in Cheverly, Md.

Born Aug. 4, 1907, in Waterfall, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Newton and Alice Witter Alloway.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Varian M. Hoover, in 1987.

She was a homemaker and, with her husband, operated Hoover's Grocery in Hustontown.

She was a member of Hustontown United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Janet Richards of Greenbelt, Md.; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at M. R. Funeral Home in Hustontown. Burial will be in Hustontown Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from noon until the 2 p.m. service at the funeral home.

Ruth V. Farra

OLNEY, Md. - Ruth Virginia "Bootie" Tracey Farra, 84, a resident of Brooke Grove Nursing Home and formerly of Rockville, Md., died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at the nursing home.

Born Oct. 12, 1913, in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Etta Key Boyer Tracey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph C. Farra, in 1974. They were married Dec. 25, 1945.

She graduated from Washington Township High School.

She was employed by the U.S. Government in the Corps of Engineers in Washington, D.C., and Richmond, Va.

She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth T. Tracey Coffman and Betty Jane Tracey Shriver, both of Silver Spring, Md.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Louise Sheldrick, Lillian Hicks, Mary Ann Tracey and Hilah Conaway; and three brothers, Stanley Tracey, Charles Omar "Bud" Tracey and John Tracey.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, Pa. The Rev. Charles B. Jessen will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Deloris L. Bye

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - Deloris L. Bye, 54, of Pinellas Park and formerly of Hagerstown, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at North Side Hospital and Heart Institute.

Born in Chestnut Grove, Md., she was the daughter of Evelyn and Harold Gouker of Pinellas Park.

She had worked as a medical secretary and transcriptionist.

She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Seminole, Fla.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, James P. Bye; a daughter, Megan Bye, of Pinellas Park; a son, Scott Dentler, of Pinellas Park; stepmother, Gladys Ingraham of Hanover, Pa.; half sister, Mindy Berry; stepsister, Carla Ottawa of Waynesboro; stepbrother, Wayne Gouker of Waynesboro, Pa.; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at International Funeral Home, Pinellas Park. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Clearwater, Fla.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Hilda L. Lloyd

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Hilda Louise Lloyd, 86, of 224 Rear 9th Ave., died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at Frederick Health Care Center in Frederick, Md.

Born Dec. 11, 1911, in Edinburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Turner and Bertha Steadman Clinedinst.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Aldon Lloyd, in 1962.

She was a retired cook at Dan-Dee Restaurant in Frederick.

She was a member of New York Hill United Methodist Church in Brunswick.

She is survived by two daughters, Ruth E. Long of Keedysville and Barbara Koogle of Port Orange, Fla.; one son, Richard F. Lloyd of Jefferson, Md.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Evelyn "Sissy" Webber; an infant son, Wesley Lloyd; and sisters and brothers.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Park Heights Cemetery in Brunswick.

Memorial contributions may be made to New York Hill United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 217, Brunswick, Md. 21716.

Arrangements are by John T. Williams Funeral Home, Brunswick.

M. Louise Grove

M. Louise Grove, 72, of 237 N. Mulberry St., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at her home.

Born Nov. 1, 1925, in Antietam Furnace, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Franklin and Grace Viola Boyer Crampton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Braden H. Grove Sr., in 1993.

She was employed with the State of Maryland as a caregiver; and with Superior Dairy.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Baughman of Hagerstown and Mary Kinna of Boonsboro; three sons, Braden H. Grove Jr. of Hagerstown, Rodney E. Grove of Martinsburg, W.Va., and David W. Grove of Hagerstown; one brother, Melvin C. Crampton of Sharpsburg; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda M. Grove; one sister, Mary Ellen Bussard; and five brothers, Frank Crampton, Gilbert Crampton, Lloyd Crampton, Arthur Crampton and Herman Crampton.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Braden H. Grove Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Anita J. Greer

Anita June Greer, 66, of 320 Devonshire Road, died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at her home.

Born Sept. 20, 1931, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Lloyd C. and Mary Katherine Ritenour Berger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Greer.

She is survived by one brother, William "Bill" Berger of Hampstead, N.C.; and two nieces, Brenda Lee Curtin and Rebecca Lee Edens, both of Hampstead, N.C.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Rest Haven Cemetery. The Rev. Ernest Thompson will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

Eure M. Jenkins Jr.

Eure M. "Inky" Jenkins Jr., 58, of 13823 Woodland Heights Drive, Hagerstown, died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Sept. 7, 1939, in Newport News, Va., he was the son of the late Eure Merwinn Jenkins Sr. and Elizabeth Hudgins Jenkins .

He was a 1957 graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News. He received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, Va., in 1966; and his master's degree in machine design from Georgia Technical Institute in 1968.

He was employed in the Engineering Department of Eastalco Aluminum Co. in Frederick, Md., for the past nine years. He formerly was employed by NASA at Langley Field, Va.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a member of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion; Moose Lodge; and a life member of AmVets Post 42, Shelby, N.C.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Toney Jenkins of Hagerstown; a son, David S. Jenkins of Charlotte, N.C.; and a brother, Carl D. Jenkins of Newport News, Va.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society Washington County Unit, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21742.
