Mary E. Wade, 80, of 427 Guilford Ave., Hagerstown, who died Saturday, July 25, 1998, was preceded in death by a brother, Perce Sowers.
Betty L. Van Eykelbosch
Betty Lee Van Eykelbosch, 71, of 17543 Gay St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, July 25, 1998, at her home.
Born Jan. 8, 1927, in Bridgeport, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William Keifer and Beatrice Viola Schrack Hull.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Alfred Van Eykelbosch, in 1973.
She was a 1945 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She retired from the City of Hagerstown's accounting department.
She was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Williamsport.
She was a member of Lady Elks 378, Funkstown American Legion Post 211 Auxiliary and AARP.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Rowe of Hagerstown and Diane Parsons of Hedgesville, W.Va.; one sister, Beatrice Broadway of Williamsport; one brother, William K. Hull Jr. of Hagerstown; and two grandchildren.
Services will be today at 7 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Mark A. Sandell will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
There will be no viewing.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Emilie Y. McNamee
Emilie Yvonne McNamee, 62, of 26 Elizabeth St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, July 26, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 2, 1935, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin and Wavie Lee Youngblood McNamee.
She was employed as a private home health care provider.
She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Melinda J. Sweeney of Hagerstown; three sisters, Gloria L. Slate of Hagerstown, Jean L. George of Chambersburg, Pa., and Mary L. Clark of Purcellville, Va.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Phyllis V. Martin, Doris L. Blair and Donna M. Repp; and three brothers, Roy J. McNamee, John C. McNamee II and James W. McNamee.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Josephine A. Dodson
Josephine Alice Dodson, 68, of 17122 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, July 27, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 30, 1930, in Augusta County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lizzie McDaniel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jack Dodson.
She owned and operated Dodson Exterminating.
She was a member of Brethren in Christ Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Dodson of Hagerstown; a son, Lee Dodson of Hagerstown; and two sisters, Lena Fitzgerald and Virginia Lawson, both of Staunton, Va.
Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Toni M. Gonder
SHARPSBURG - Toni Marie Gonder, 5, of 6103 River Road, who died Sunday, July 26, 1998, also was preceded in death by an uncle, Roland Gonder.
Bernadine M. Labille
Bernadine Mary Labille, 65, of 1839 Abbey Lane, Hagerstown, died Monday, July 27, 1998, at her home.
Born Nov. 28, 1932, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Leta Mary McNiss Croghan.
She was a Catholic.
She is survived by five daughters, Mary Bays of Bryans Road, Md., Marie Luper, Victoria Carter and Debbie Combs, all of Hagerstown, and Helen Johnson of Louisiana; three sons, Ralph Labille Jr., Louis Steven Labille and Jimmy Reed, all of Rockville, Md.; two sisters, Mary Rosenthal and Jean Walker, both of Arizona; 26 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery, Rockville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 30 minutes prior to services.
Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

Daniel Rodger Sprecher, 80, of 17907 W. Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, who died Sunday, July 26, 1998, is survived by a brother, Dr. Fred J. Sprecher of Winchester, Va.
Russell C. Brousseau
Memorial services for Russell Charles Brousseau, who died Thursday, July 16, 1998, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, 17906 Garden Lane, Hagerstown. Friends and neighbors are invited.
William F. Stevenson
BOONSBORO - William Felix Stevenson, 75, a resident of Reeders Memorial Home, and formerly of Silver Spring, Md., died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Dec. 3, 1922, in Seat Pleasant, Md., he was the son of the late Charles and Marie VanReuth Stevenson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aurora Dolores Mora Stevenson.
He was a retired employee of the U.S. Treasury.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II.
He was a former member of VFW, Silver Spring.
He is survived by four daughters, Dolores Curling of Vienna, Austria, Carol Callaway of Keedysville, Lisa Rangel of Germantown, Md., and Teresa Pascal of Poolesville, Md.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three sons and a brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 116 E. Second St., Frederick, Md. The Rev. Keith Boisvert will be celebrant. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21742.

Robert J. Wells
Robert James Wells, 16, of 13545 Halifax Drive, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, July 28, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 15, 1982, in Allentown, Pa., he was the son of Joanne F. Wells of Hagerstown and the late Richard S. Wells.
He was a student at North Hagerstown High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Honor Club, North High Academy and the soccer team. A member of the varsity wrestling team, he was county champion in his weight class.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, where he was an altar server. He also was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown, Pa.
He was a member of Hagerstown Youth Soccer League and Hagerstown Soccer Club, where he was a member of Hustler's Soccer Team. He participated in theater in Allentown.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by paternal grandparents, Art and Grace Wells of Clark Summit, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Florence Haas of Allentown; two uncles and an aunt.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen M. Wells.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Edward Manalis will be celebrant.
Visitation will be Friday two hours prior to the service at the church.
An additional Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown. Monsignor John Murphy will be celebrant.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Robert J. Wells Memorial Athletic Fund, c/o North Hagerstown High School, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, Md. 21742.
