Fay M. Stenger
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Fay Myers Stenger, 80, of Boynton Beach, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998.
She was born in Williamsport.
She and her husband, Pete Stenger, sang on the radio for more than 50 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Margie C. Fisher and Dixie L. Thompson; four sisters, Dorine Wood, Reba Fazenbaker, Ivy Warner and Harriette Bowers; four brothers, Jack Myers, Bob Myers, Jim Myers and Tom Myers; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Williamsport United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, Boynton Beach.
Dennis A. Holler
VERMILION, Ohio - Dennis Allen Holler, 33, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, in Pennsylvania.
Born March 28, 1965, in Baltimore, he was the son of Daniel and Elaine Joy Holler of New Windsor, Md.
He served with the U.S. Coast Guard for the past 12 years; he was a machinery technician second class.
He attended forestry school in Oregon for two years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cynthia L. Kneisel Holler; three sons, Richard Shawn Kneisel, Dennis William Holler and Kraig Allen Holler, all at home; a brother, Daniel Floyd Holler of Union Bridge, Md.; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Rosalie Joy of Hagerstown; and paternal grandmother, Mescal Holler of Clear Spring.
Services with military honors conducted by shipmates from the U.S. Coast Guard, Cleveland, Ohio, were held Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. at Brownhelm Congregational Church. The Rev. Stephanie Bikel, pastor of Brownhelm Congregational Church, officiated. Burial was in Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
The family received friends Monday, Sept. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, Ohio.
Memorial donations may be made to Dennis Holler Memorial Fund, for the benefit of his children, at First Merit Bank, Kipton, Ohio.
Ada G. Wolfe
SABILLASVILLE, Md. - Ada G. Wolfe, 67, of Sabillasville Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at the Western Maryland Hospital Center, Hagerstown.
Born Dec. 8, 1930, in Lantz, Md., she was the daughter of Albert M. Portner of Walkersville, Md., and the late Grace Horan Portner.
She was employed by Summit Lake Camp, Sabillasville.
In addition to her father, she is survived by five daughters, June Klinedinst of Dillsburg, Pa., Linda Tracey of Gettysburg, Pa., Mary Lee Tiedt of Westminster, Md., Bonita McClellan of Thurmont, Md., and Karen Funk of Hagerstown; four sons, Ronald Wolfe of Smithsburg, David Wolfe and Daniel Wolfe, both of Thurmont, Chris Wolfe of Sabillasville; three sisters, Glenda Heridia of Green Valley, Ariz., Mary Davis of Gettysburg, and Carole Dingle of Sabillasville; two brothers, Joseph Portner and John Portner, both of Thurmont; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Albert Wolfe; and two brothers, James Portner and Albert Portner.
Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave., Smithsburg. Pastor Jonathan D. Laye will officiate. Burial will be in Brown's Cemetery in Foxville, Md.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mary T. Humelsine
Mary Theophora Humelsine, 91, of 613 Sunset Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, at her home.
Born Aug. 11, 1907, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Leonard E. and Catherine L. Moore Humelsine.
She was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and a 1929 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Baltimore.
She retired from Washington County Hospital in 1980.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she sang on the choir.
She is survived by a brother, Charles B. Humelsine of Baltimore; and two cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Monsignor Robert S. Passarelli will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Prayers will be offered at 8 p.m.

John R. Nolan
SALISBURY, Md. - John R. Nolan, 67, of Salisbury, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, at Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital in Salisbury.
Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John G. Nolan and Bertha Jean Smith Richards.
He was a truck driver for Mack Truck Inc. in Hagerstown. He owned and operated Nolan's Auto Body Shop in State Line, Pa.
He did volunteer service for the Red Cross and Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his former wife, Janice M. Nolan of Greencastle, Pa.; four children, Noreen M. Vance of Hagerstown, John R. Nolan II of Newport, N.C., Diana L. Boone of Greencastle and Donald A. Nolan of State Line; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A private memorial service was held.

Jo Ellen B. Follin
Jo Ellen B. Follin, 72, of 220 Devonshire Road, Hagerstown, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 11, 1926, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Anna Belle Baker.
She retired from Charles A. Gibney Florist.
She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
She was a member of American Legion Post 211 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Follin; a son, Robert H. Follin of Smithsburg; and two grandsons, Christopher Follin and Eric Follin, both of Smithsburg.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Dennis L. Upton will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

William E. Lunsbury
William Edwin Lunsbury, 83, of 1228 Glenwood Ave., Hagerstown, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998, at Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport.
Born April 9, 1915, in New York, he was the son of the late Henry and Emma A. Schlusing Lunsbury.
He retired in 1980 from Mack Truck, Inc.
He was a member of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion, BPO Elks Lodge 378 and UAW 171.
He is survived by a brother, Harold F. Lunsbury of Hagerstown.
Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Raymond Lytle will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

D. Ruth Smith, 84, of 135 Sunflower Drive, Hagerstown, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 8, 1913, in Masonville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Margaret Ours Ketterman.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert C. Smith; a daughter, Glena Hajek of Baltimore; a sister, Virginia Smith of Rockville, Md.; a brother, Charles W. Ketterman of Petersburg, W.Va.; two grandsons; a great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Stephen D. Robison will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Edna M. Rowe
CLEAR SPRING - Edna Marie Rowe, 58, of 13823 Blairsvalley Road, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 2, 1939, in Clear Spring, she was the daughter of Lloyd Paul Pine Sr. of Clear Spring and the late Catherine Louise Leasure Pine.
She was a 1956 graduate of Clear Spring High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Mount Calvary Church of God of Clear Spring.
She was a member of Red Feather Council 59.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles Richard Rowe Sr. of Clear Spring; three daughters, Mary Anna Catherine Shirley of Hagerstown, Susan Renee Rowe and Melissa JoAnn Rowe, both of Clear Spring; three sons, George Allen Rowe of Falling Waters, W.Va., Terry Michael Rowe and Charles Richard Rowe Jr., both of Clear Spring; a sister, Pamela Jean Gatrell of Clear Spring; three brothers, George Edward Pine of Mercersburg, Pa., Lloyd Paul Pine Jr. of Clear Spring and Harold Leroy Pine of Williamsport; two grandsons; a niece, Sharon Kay Dunmire of Hedgesville, W.Va., whom she raised; and two nephews.
Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 13607 National Pike Clear Spring. The Rev. Robert E. Timmons will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open from noon until 9 p.m.
