John Edwin DuBose, 82, of Ft. Myers, FL died Thursday, May 31, 2001 at Shell Point Village in Fort Myers, FL.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2001 at 10:00 am at the Pitts Creek Presbyterian cemetery in Pocomoke City.

Boulden, Edgar & Janet
The cremains of Edgar L Boulden, who died August 22, 1997, and his wife, Janet M. Boulden, who died September 12, 2000, will be interred on Saturday, May 26, 2001, in the First Baptist cemetery in Pocomoke City.
Their survivors include three children and five grandchildren; Brenda Wise and her husband, Barry of Temperanceville; Debbie Outten and her husband Gary of Pocomoke City; a son Ronnie Boulden of Pocomoke City; and grandchildren, Deborah Michelle Northam, Patrick Allen Dize, Todd Edgar Outten, Amanda Paradise Outten and Kristin Alysse Boulden; Edgar’s sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Don Eldon of Port Charlotte, FL; and Janet’s sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Raymond Bennett of Federalsburg, MD.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2001 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist cemetery in Pocomoke City. The Reverend Tom Wall will officiate.
Kelly, Vincent Lee "Ben"
Vincent Lee “Ben” Kelly, 89, of Pocomoke City, died Wednesday, August 8, 2001, at
Salisbury Center: Genesis Elder Care in Salisbury.
Born October 25, 1911 in Powellville, MD, he was the son of the late Alfred and Lizzie Davis Kelly. His first wife, Helen Kelly preceded him in death.
Mr. Kelly was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocomoke City.
He is survived by four cousins. In addition to his first wife, his second wife, Christine Whitehead Kelly and two brothers, Floyd Kelly and John “Jack” Kelly, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2001 at 2:00 PM at the Holloway Melson Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Paul Elligson will officiate. Interment will follow in Springhill cemetery in Girdletree, MD.
Gordy Sr., William H.
William H. Gordy, Sr., 70, of Salisbury cherished husband and father returned home to be with our Lord Friday, June 29, 2001.
The son of the late William Dale Gordy and Hilda Mae Gordy Anderson is survived by his wife of 47 years, Naddah, a son, William Gordy, Jr. of Melsons, a daughter, Brenda Gail Rodman of Hebron, three grandchildren, Robert (Robbie) Rodman, III, Kendall Lee Gordy and Melissa Gail Howe; a sister, Iris McFarland of Beaverton, Michigan and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James (Jimmy) Gordy and a sister, Doris Stott.
Baker Bill Gordy as many knew him, played fast pitch softball for a total of thirty years, playing for teams such as Perdue’s, Dr. Pepper, Sam Seidel, Eastside Men’s Club and Jack’s Sanitary Service, where he excelled at the position of pitcher. He was an avid bowler, winning numerous trophies for his excellence in bowling over a long period of years.
A memorial service will be held Friday evening July 13, 2001 at 7 PM at Harmon Field in Salisbury. The Rev. Howard Travers will officiate. In case of inclement weather, the memorial service will be held at Holloway Funeral Home.

Pennypacker, Robert Lee
Robert Lee Pennypacker, 51, of Pittsville, died Friday, June 8, 2001 at his home.
Born in Boyertown, PA, he was the son of the late William Weller and Pearl Pennypacker Weller.
Mr. Pennypacker worked for Perdue, Inc. in Accomac, VA in the maintenance department for ten years, retiring in 1994. He volunteered for the Holly Foundation. He was an avid NASCAR and baseball fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Rebecca Landing Pennypacker of Pittsville; two sons: Rick Jackson and Tony Jackson both of Delmar, MD; eight brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Sunday, June 10, 2001 at 3 PM at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Calling hours was one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Tom Hurley officiated.

Messick, Robert E.
Robert E. Messick, 66, known by his friends as “Clearwater” of Salisbury, died Saturday, August 11, 2001 after suffering a heart attack at home and being pronounced at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Born in Dames Quarter, he was the son of the late Melvin and Bessie Messick.
Mr. Messick was owner of Messick’s Tax Service in Fruitland for 40 years. He was a member of Elks BPOE 817, Moose Lodge 654-1208, Golden Seniors Moose Lodge of Salisbury, and East Side Men’s Club.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Louise F. Messick of Salisbury; four children: Kim Messick Smith and her husband, Dicky Smith of Salisbury, Kathy Messick Vega and her husband, Ernesto Vega of California, Kelly Messick of Salisbury, and Kevin Messick and fiancée, Wendy Moore of Pittsville; one granddaughter, Kayla Messick of Pittsville; two sisters and their husbands, Grace and Raymond Nichols of Hebron and Barbara and George Murray of Delmar; two brothers and their wives: Richard and Margaret Messick of Dames Quarter and Danny and Bonnie Messick of Salisbury; lifetime close friends, Lawrence and Joann Ford of Salisbury; numerous nieces, nephew and a host of friends who he would do anything for.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2001 at 11 AM at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 AM. The Rev. Tom Hurley will officiate. Interment will be in Beechwood cemetery in Princess Anne, MD. A gathering will follow at the Moose Lodge in Salisbury, where everyone is welcome. Food may be dropped off after 9:00 AM at the lodge on Snow Hill Road.

Bell, Sr., Harold Reginald
Harold Reginald Bell, Sr., 77, a lifelong resident of Shelltown, died Saturday, June9, 2001, at Edward W. McCready Memorial Hosptital in Crisfield.
Born September 16, 1923, in Shelltown, he was the son of the late George and Mary Connor Bell. His wife, Martha Horstman Bell, preceded him in death November 6, 1998.
Mr. Bell was a lifetime member of the Rehobeth Methodist Church, a charter and life member, with perfect attendance, of the Rehobeth Ruritans, a member of Crisfield Lodge #1044 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a member of the Somerset County Farm Bureau and former member of the Marion Lion's Club. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter and Baltimore Oriole fan.
He is survived by a daughter, Anna Hatchell and her husband Archie; a son, Reggie Bell and his wife Jan, all of Shelltown; a step son William Keller and his wife Anita of Fenwick Island, De; Two grandchildren, Leighann Carbaugh of Hebron and Harold R. Bell III of San Diego, CA; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen Blevins of Stockton, and Lillian Jones of Salisbury; a brother, James Bell of Shelltown and several nieces and nephews. In addtion to his wife, three brothers, Jacob M., George A. and Robert A. Bell; and a sister, Rebecca T. Lusk also preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held, Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at 11:00 am at the Holloway melson Funeral Home in Pocomoke City where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Janet Roundsley will officiate assisted by the Rev. Daniel Blevins. Interment will follow in Rehobeth Methodist cemetery in Rehobeth, MD.

Brittingham, Lawrence Filmore
Lawrence Filmore Brittingham, 88, a lifelong resident of Pocomoke City, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born September 15, 1912 in Pocomoke City, he was the son of the late Horace and Jeanette Giltz Brittingham. His wife, Evelyn Shreaves Brittingham, preceded him in death in 1986.
Mr. Brittingham was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII, where he was awarded a Purple Heart, he attended Salem United Methodist Church as a child, was a life member of the American Legion Post #93 and retired from the Pocomoke City Post Office.
He is survived by two nieces, Peggy East and Scarlet Hillman and her husband, Michael, all of Pocomoke City; one nephew, Robert Lilliston of Onancock, a special friend Allen Butler and many other caring neighbors, and several cousins. A brother, Merwin Brittingham also preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist cemetery in Pocomoke City. The Rev. Thomas J. Wall will officiate.

Rollinson, Kathryn Elizabeth
Kathryn Elizabeth Rollinson, 81, a resident of Pocomoke City for the past 14 years, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born April 17, 1920 in Delaware, She was the daughter of the late George and Emma Phipps Phillips. He husband, Wesley Marshall Rollinson, preceded her in death in 1954.
Mrs. Rollinson was raised in Reading PA. She was employed for 25 years with Nice Ball Bearing in Kulpsville, PA. Mrs. Rollinson devoted her life to her daughter and family.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Doreen Tull; four grandchildren, Tommy Fitzpatrick and his wife Pamela; Nicole Daniels and her husband Jonathan and Michael Procaccio all of Pocomoke City and Tracy Taylor and her fiancee Kian Grover of Knoxville, TN; four great grandchildren, Thomas and Darby Fitzpatrick; Brandon Evans and Nicholas Daniels and her beloved cat "Sugar". In addtion to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Marriner in 1977 and a brother, Jack K. Phillips in 1990.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 11, 2001 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Melson Funeral Home in Pocomoke City where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the First Baptist cemetery in Pocomoke City.

Meeks, Helen
Helen Meeks, age 97, of Newark, died on Sunday, June 17, 2001 at Calvert Manor in Rising Sun, MD.
Mrs. Meeks worked as a Nurses Aid at Wilmington General Hospital for 20 years and was a member of Holy Family Church in Newark. Her husband, Robert Meeks, Sr. and son, Edward Meeks predeceased her. She is survived by her son, Roberts Meeks, Jr., a daughter, Helen Dennis of Newport Richi, FL, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; a sister, Rose Glynn of Tarpin Springs, FL.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a viewing at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Roads, on Friday, June 22 from 9 am to 10 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 15 Gender Drive in Newark at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Cathedral cemetery inWilmington.

Fogleman, Clarence E.
Clarence E. Fogleman, 85, of Kennett Square, PA, died Friday June 15, 2001 at Southern Chester County Medical Center in Penn Twp., PA.
Mr. Fogleman, the son of the late John Henry & Carrie Bell Fogleman, was born on May 27, 1916 in Rockdell, VA. He was an Army veteran of WWII and the D-Day invasion.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucille Fogleman of Kennett Square, PA; 1 son, John A. Fogleman of Lincoln University, PA; 2 sisters, Jeanette Dalton of Rising Sun, MD and Stella Temple of Colora, MD; and 1 grandson, Matthew.
Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday June 18, 2001 at R. T. FOARD FUNERAL HOME, 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD where friends may call 1 hour prior. Burial will be in West Nottingham cemetery, Colora, MD.
