Nelle G. Haugh, 94, of Hampstead

Nelle Garland Haugh, 94, of Hampstead, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born Jan. 10, 1909, in Bakersville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Doss M. and Pansy Letterman Garland. She was the wife of the late John Luther Haugh.

She had been a teacher at Manchester Elementary School until her retirement.

She enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are brothers Charles W. Garland of Timonium and James Garland of New Jersey; and sisters Bess Behrens of Hudson Valley, N.Y., Louise Grimes of Parkville, Alice Nelson of Wimberley, Texas, and Cora Johnson of Red Lion, Pa.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. Jerry Grace officiating. Interment will be in Hampstead cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenmount United Methodist Church, 2001 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074.

James D. Middleton, 88, of Mount Airy James D. Middleton, 88, of Mount Airy, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, in Mount Airy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Moody Funeral Home, 714 W. Main St., Sylva, N.C.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in North Carolina.

Evelyn Sanner, 71, of Reisterstown

Evelyn Sanner, 71, of Reisterstown, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at the Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, from natural causes.

Born Oct. 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Daisey Hammett Sanner.

She was a retired bartender.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Kim and Lee Klinefelter of Reisterstown; siblings Mike and Buzz Sanner of Reisterstown, Alice Drury of St. Mary's County, Eleanor McInerary and Lloyd and Donald Sanner, all of Florida, and Karl Sanner of Frizzellburg; and grandchildren Chris, Courtney and Kelsey Klinefelter.

She was predeceased by son Ricky Sanner; and brothers Richard and John Sanner.

Funeral services and interment will be private.

Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, is handling the arrangements.

Henry C. Adams Jr., 66, of Hampstead

Henry Charles Adams Jr., 66, of Hampstead, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at his ug. 29, 1936, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Henry Charles Adams Sr. and Anna Hershey Adams. He was the husband of Mary Greene Adams of Hampstead.

He was a truck driver and had worked at Charlton Brothers Trucking Co.

He was a veteran of the Marines, serving from 1954 to 1956.

He was a member of the Moose Club and a bowling league.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Scott Carls of Reisterstown; son and daughter-in-law Henry Adams III and Mary Jo Adams of Westminster; sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and Ron Silanskas of Landsdowne; brother William Adams of Baltimore; grandaughters Sherrie and spouse Kevin Lohmeyer of Greenville, S.C. and Kristen Hieatzman of Hanover, Pa; brother-in-law Thomas and spouse Dorothy Greene; grandchildren Tim, Greg and Johnny Ward of Westminster, and Justin, Amanda and Ashleigh Carls of Reisterstown.

A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead. Interment will be private.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 95 Carroll Street, Westminster, MD 21157.

Anna C. Packard Buzby, 56, of Westminster

Anna C. Packard Buzby, 56, of Westminster, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Greater Baltimore Medir Baltimore Medical Center in Towson.

Born May 19, 1946, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John Peter and Catherine Marie Jenderk Kupisch. She was the wife of Tom C. Buzby.

She was a manager at PDP Insurance Co.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are son John C. Packard of Westminster; daughter Janet Lynn Packard of Biglersville, Pa.; and sister Mary Jane Fry of Hampstead.

She was predeceased by brothers Joe, John and George Kupisch.

A funeral service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Revs. Martin Feild and Janet Cummings officiating. Interment will be private.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Beverly A. Clelland, 67, of Westminster

Beverly Ann Clelland, 67, of Westminster, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Carroll County General Hospital.

Born Aug. 28, 1935, in Huntingdon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George C. Megahan and Helen Simpson Richards.

For 20 years she had worked at Springfield State Hospital, for the last four years at Granite House.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, J. Douglas and Cheryl Wahl of Hampstead; a son, James E. Wahl of Westminster; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan M. and Tom Hickman of Middleburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Gerald Schwaller of Lady Lake, Fla.; a former husband, John N. Wahl of Melbourne, Fla.; and grandchildren Jessica Lynn Hickman of Middleburg, and Daniel, Andrew and Catherine Wahl, all of Hampstead.

A son, George William Wahl, predeceased her.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with the Rev. Frederick P. Eckhardt officiating. Interment will be in Westminster cemetery.

Joseph V. McGuire, 77, of Reisterstown

Joseph V. McGuire, 77, of Reisterstown, formerly of Martinsburg, W. Va., died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at the Northwest Hospital Center from natural causes.

Born Aug. 26, 1925, in New York, he was the son of the late Joseph and Isabelle Driscoll McGuire. He was the husband of the late Mary Kelly McGuire who died in 1989.

He was a retired manager for a communication company. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was active in veterans affairs.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Donna and Jim Brickley of Reisterstown; grandchildren Tara Kuser and Matthew Brickley, and great-grandchild Danica Brickley.

A funeral service and interment will be held on Wednesday at Calvary cemetery and Chapel in Cherry Hill, N.J.

Arrangements are by the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. n, 72, of Westminster

Betty Jewel Biden, 72, of Westminster, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

Born Aug. 25, 1930, in Clairfield, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Riley and Susie Chitwood Anderson. She was the wife of George Thomas Biden Jr., her husband of 51 years.

She had been an antique dealer and was the owner/operator of Beauty Salon.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are son and daughter-in-law George "Thom" III and Nita Biden of Westminster; sisters Christine Anderson of Baltimore and Van Torchia of Severna Park; grandchildren Ashley, Nicole, Caitlin, Miranda and Julianna Biden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with Monsignor Arthur Valenzano officiating. Interment will be in Westminster cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Carl R. 'Bob' Cashman, 69, of Westminster

Carl Robert "Bob" Cashman, 69, of Westminster, died Monday, April 7, 2003, at Carroll County General Hospital.

Born March 28, 1934, in Frizzellburg, he was the son of the late Emma Mae Carr and stepson of the late Howard Carr. He was the husband of June Cashman, his wife of 45 years.

He was a veteran of th a veteran of the Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Capital Airlines, now United, as a jet mechanic. He had worked with Shipley Transfer as a truck driver and then for 13 years with the Carroll County sheriff's department.

He was a member of the Church of the Open Door.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law the Rev. David Wayne and Sandra Cashman of Fairless Hills, Pa.; sisters Peggy Coulbourne of St. Mary's, Ga., Donna Nelson of Westminster; grandchildren Andrew Robert, Tiffany Diane, LeighAnne Nicole and Jonathan David Cashman.

He was predeceased by son Robert Michael Cashman in 1990.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Norris Belcher officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ralph E. Costley Sr., 83, of Reisterstown

Ralph E. Costley Sr., 83, of Reisterstown, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Northwest Hospital Center, from natural causes.

Born Aug. 27, 1919, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Clarence and Geneva Collins Costley. He was the husband of Virginia Bell Costley, who died in 1988.

He was a retired auto mechanic.

Surviving are sons Aaron and Edward Costley, bown; sisters Agnes Dorsey of Sykesville, Edith Costley and Hazel Thornton, both of Baltimore, and Hilda Costley of Westminster; brother Clenard Costley of Randallstown; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. Interment will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fairview cemetery, Taylorsville.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

John R. McCulloch, 86, of Sebring, Fla.

John R. McCulloch, 86, of Sebring, Fla., died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at the Palms Nursing Home, Sebring, Fla.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Clarence E. Ritter, 73, of Glyndon

Clarence Edward Ritter, 73, of Glyndon, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Northwest Hospital Medical Center.
