Rebecca J. Gogel, 44, of Finksburg

Rebecca Jean Gogel, 44, of Finksburg, died early Thursday morning, Sept. 16, 2004, at the home of her parents of colon cancer.

Born Jan. 22, 1960, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Lawrence and L. Kathy Barnhill Thompson of Finksburg.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are sons Tommy Parrish of Reisterstown and Corey Gogel of Westminster; sisters and brothers-in-law Debbie and Brad Rupp of Finksburg, Sandy and Hafeez Syed of Reisterstown and Sharon Thompson Waldrup of Hanover, Pa.; nieces and nephews Jennifer and John Gibson, Stacy Rupp and Alan Tawney, all of Finksburg, Zarina, Hina and Zayn Syed of Reisterstown and Shannon and Kayla Waldrup of Hanover, Pa.; great-niece Emily Rose Gibson of Finksburg; and devoted friends Steve Goodheart, Brad Fishell and Dave Taylor, all of Westminster and Ann Asher of New Windsor.

She was predeceased by grandparents Hannie Barnhill Potter, Grayson Barnhill and Annie and William Thompson.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with the Rev. David L. Meador, of Carrollton Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Carrollton Church of God cemetery, Finksburg.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Carrollton Church of God Building Fund, c/o Kenny Knight, 913 Lorraine Drive, Finksburg, MD 21048.

J. Richard Severe, 55, of Owings Mills

James Richard Severe, 55, of Owings Mills, died suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Northwest Hospital Center from natural causes.

Born Sept. 20, 1948, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James and Evelyn Presspritch Severe. He was the husband of Suzanne Miller Severe.

He was a retired audio engineer for Maryland Public Television and was the owner of Village Sound Co., Inc. of Owings Mills.

He was a longtime member of All Saints Church, Reisterstown, and a member of the Baltimore Tall Club. He was a ham radio operator, enjoyed collecting model trains and was an amusement park enthusiast.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter Shannon M. Severe; brothers Bernard Severe of Baltimore and Clyde Leonard of Tennessee; and sister Dolores Liberto of Florida.

He was predeceased by brother James O. Severe and sister Lottie Russell.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at All Saints Episcopal Church, Chatsworth Avenue, Reisterstown, with the Rev. David Stenner officiating. Interment will be in All Saints cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.

Irene V. Green, formerly of Hampstead

Irene Virginia Riley Green, formerly of Hampstead, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004.

She was the wife of the late Walter E. Green.

She had been a resident of Hampstead for 20 years.

Surviving are daughter Christine V. Ashby of Halethorpe; sons Calvin E. Green of Sunset Beach, N.C. and David L. Green of Felton, Pa.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her siblings; and one granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Slack Funeral Home, 3871 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City. Interment will be in Good Shepherd cemetery.

Miriam M. Leda, 86, of Owings Mills

Miriam M. Leda, 86, of Owings Mills, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Futurecare Cherrywood, Reisterstown.

Born Sept. 21, 1917, in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George Victor and Adolphina Visti Hill. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Leda Jr.

She was a homemaker and was honored by Channel 13 for her many hours as a volunteer at Rosewood State Hospital.

Surviving are daughters Charlene and Kathy Leda; niece and nephew-in-law Miriam and Florian Cholewezynski of Baltimore; brother and sister-in-law Nicholas B. and Mary Hill of Dundalk; great-niece Valerie Cholewezynski; great-nephew Stephen Cholewezynski; and brother-in-law George Leda.

She was predeceased by brothers Matthew Victor Hill, Eugene B. Hill and James Oliver Hill; and sister Eleanor Elizabeth Bruce.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church, Glyndon, with Monsignor Lloyd E. Aiken officiating. Interment will be private.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are by Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown.

Carroll E. Michael, 81, of York, Pa.

Carroll E. Michael, 81, of York, Pa., died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at York Hospital.

Born Nov. 7, 1922, in Lineboro, he was the son of the late Maurice E. and Helen Dietrich Michael. He was the husband of Pearl V. Yost Michael, with whom he celebrated his 57th wedding anniversary on Dec. 15.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Trenton in the Pacific. He retired in 1986 from Harley Davidson Inc., York, where he worked as a supervisor in the electrical department for over 12 years. Prior to that he worked at Fincor, York, for over 20 years.

He was an active member of Zion Shaffer's Lutheran Church, where he taught Sunday school, was past president of the church council, and served on various committees. He was a member of the Mason Dixon Hunting Club and the Jefferson Chapter 3699 of the AARP.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters and sons-in-law Diane L. and Richard Betlyon of Hanover, Pa., Nancy E. and Randy Swords of York; sons and daughter-in-law Ronald E. Michael of Penfield, N.Y., the Rev. Edward C. and Rhonda Michael of Baltimore; grandchildren Ronald E. Michael Jr., Marie L. Smith, Andrew M. Betlyon, Alyssa R. Michael, Mallory L. Harmon and Jared E. Michael; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brother LeRoy E. Michael; and daughter-in-law Marie Russo Michael.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Shaffer's United Lutheran Church, Shaffer Road, Seven Valleys, Pa., with his pastor, the Rev. J. Thomas Shelley officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.

Anna E. Tamburo, 90, formerly of Sykesville

Anna Elise Reinhardt Tamburo, 90, formerly of Sykesville, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Golden Crest Assisted Living in Westminster.

Born Nov. 23, 1913, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Marian Hughes Reinhardt. She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Tamburo Sr.

She had been a teacher in the Baltimore City Schools and also owned and operated Tamburo's General Store.

Surviving are daughters Christina T. Todd of Eldersburg and Rosemarie T. Martin of Westminster; sons Maurice William Frizzell Jr. of Ocean City, Stephen J. Tamburo Jr. of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Donald Ross Tamburo of Pasadena; sister Dorothy R. Brawner of Pasadena; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by granddaughter Christina Ann Frizzell.

A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Old St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sandosky Road and Main St., Sykesville, with the Rev. Paul Reich as celebrant. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

Laura M. Tillmann, 88, of Westminster

Laura May Tillmann, 88, of Westminster, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2004, at the Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Oct. 4, 1915, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Charlotte Utz Stoll. She was the wife of Leo Joseph Tillmann, who died in 1982.

She had been a homemaker and a bookkeeper. She had attended the Church of the Open Door. She was a seamstress and enjoyed making her own clothing.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Joseph Sparks of Owings Mills; grandchildren Laura Pecunes, Amy Mossman and Andrew and John Tillmann; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by son Nathan H. Tillmann.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

George C. Carrozza, 87, formerly of Carroll County

George C. Carrozza, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Carroll County, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Indian River Memorial Hospital, Vero Beach, following a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc., Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, Pa.

Michael W. 'Mike' Corbin, 24, of Glen Rock, Pa.

Michael W. "Mike" Corbin, 24, of Glen Rock, Pa., died suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in the township of Corodus, Pa., due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was the son of Ruth and Rick Redmond of Glenville, Pa. and Michael and Elise Corbin of Buckingham County, Va.

He was a construction mechanic with the Culbertson Construction Co.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are fiance Sandy Herrmann; sons Bryce and Jayden; sisters and brother-in-law Julie and Jon Goodman of North Carolina, Candace, Angelina, Ginny Lynn and Hannah, all of Virginia and Christina and Diana Redmond of Baltimore; grandmothers Esther Miller of Manchester and Vivian E. Noel of W. Va.; nephew Dylan Goodman; niece Cassidy Goodman; and many relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, with the Rev. David J. Olsen Sr. officiating. Interment will be in the New Lutheran cemetery, Manchester.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rachel V. Klinefelter, 97, of Finksburg

Rachel V. Klinefelter, 97, of Finksburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Northwest Hospital Center, Randallstown.

Born July 14, 1907, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late David and Julia DeVese Allan. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Klinefelter.

She was a factory worker at Bendix.

Surviving are sons Richard M. Klinefelter of Glyndon, Ronald L. Klinefelter of Littlestown, Pa. and Luther L. Klinefelter of Finksburg; daughter R. Mae Christian of Glen Rock, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by son Robert L. Klinefelter.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, with the Rev. David A. Stenner officiating. Interment will be private.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Bonnie R. Leete, 62, formerly of Hampstead

Bonnie Roach Leete, 62, of Hanover, Pa., formerly of Hampstead, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Hanover General Hospital, Hanover.

Born Jan. 27, 1942, in Mount Vernon, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James G. and Gladys F. Simmons Roach.

She worked as a laminator at Malco Plastics. She had also been a Girl Scout leader during the 1970s for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Martha W. and Neil D. Goldstein and Shannon M. and Glenn E. Hamm; son and daughter-in-law James M. II and Sandra M. Leete; grandchildren Ashley M. Wallace, Carissa A. Hamm, Colten G.A. Hamm, Sydney K. Leete and J. Alexis Leete; sisters Evelyn Thorpe of Woodstock, Va., June Tuck of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Rose Ellen Thompson of Pine Bluff, Wyo.; brothers Dorhal Roach of Barto, W.Va., Kenneth Roach and Eric Roach, both of Woodbridge, Va., Steve Roach of Fredericksburg, Va., Lance Roach of Caldwell, W.Va. and Don Roach of Manassas, Va.

She was predeceased by siblings Gail Harper, Phyliss Cuckler, Garland Roach and Randolph Roach.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. Theresa Ramsey officiating. Interment will be private.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
