She was the spouse of Joseph Frederick Lindsay

She was born October 19, 1937 in Portsmouth, OH

The daughter of the late Ira Woodrow and late Ida Mae Rigsby Lambert.

She was a homemaker

She is survived by her husband and Children: Katherine Sue Lindsay of Sykesville, Barbara Ann Twigg of Manchester, Steven Craig Lindsay of Manchester.

Brothers: Wayne Lambert of Brooklyn, MD, David Lambert of Baltimore, Alan Lambert of Baltimore, Sisters: Glennette Bowlin of Baltimore Highlands, Ruth Ann Lambert of Baltimore. Grandchildren: Stevie Lee Stem, Bryan Joseph Lindsay. William Blake Twigg, Robert Steven Twigg. Preceded in death by: brother George Lambert and Sister Linda Lambert.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday June 7, 2003 11:00 at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME, 1212 WEST OLD LIBERTY RD. WINFIELD, MD 21784

Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD

The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.

Emily T. Sweeney Clymer
84, of Sykesville, MD
1919 - 2003

Died, Saturday May 31, 2003 at Golden Age Guest Home, Sykesville.

She was the spouse of the late Rev. William C. Clymer whom was Pastor of 1st Baptist Church of Havre de Grace for 20 years.

Mrs. Clymer was born May 19, 1919 in Clifton Heights, P.A. the daughter of the later James Sweeney and the later Anna Taylor Sweeney.

Mrs. Clymer was a Homemaker, Loved her family, taught Sunday school for over 50 years and was very active at Elders Baptist Church.

Surviving are: Daughter: Virginia Grayson of Jacksonville, FL, and Son: Daniel C. Clymer of Sykesville. Sisters: Anna Sweeney Of Philadelphia, Betty Lobley of Philadelphia and Bernice King of Elkhart, Indiana

Also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 10:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD with the Rev. James Edmonson Officiating.

Interment will be at 2:45 PM at Hillside cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Rd. Roslyn, PA 19001.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.

Irvin W. Williams, Jr.
75, of Westminster, MD
1928 - 2003

Irvin W. Williams, Jr., age 75, of Westminster, died Monday June 16, 2003 at his home.

He was born March 9, 1928 in Roland Park, Maryland. He was the oldest of eight sons born to the late Irvin W. Williams, Sr. and the late Gladys C. Williams (nee Deaver).

He was a member of the St. Peter Claver Parish from the time he was a child through adulthood. He was a product of the Baltimore City School Public System and went on to join the Navy at the age of 18. As a result of Irvin’s first marriage he was graced with three sons, Steven, Donald, and Jeffrey (who preceded him in death). He later married Jacobine Helene Buchkremer Williams in 1970. and this marriage brought to him his fourth son, Marlin. He retired from the US Postal Service after 30 years of service. Irvin touched the lives of so many people with his wit, and generous spirit. He was a very devoted husband, father and brother.

Irvin leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Jacobine; three sons, Steven and his wife, Donald, and Marlin; and the late Jeffrey Williams; 6 brothers, Vernon, Ronald, Iglehart, Michael, Lawrence, Sarsfield and their wives, as well as a half brother, Wesley and two half sisters, Jean and Gail, and late brother Donald K. Williams; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and brother in law Alfred and his wife Helga and son Rolf and his wife Kirsten from Germany.

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday from 7-9 PM where funeral service will be held on Friday June 20, 2003 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment Garrison Forest Veterans cemetery.

Julia Margaret Franklin
82, of Taylorsville, MD
1920 - 2003

Julia Margaret "AH HA" Franklin (nee Caples), age 82, of Taylorsville, MD, died Wednesday June 4, 2003 at her home.

She was born September 23, 1920 in Westminster, MD the daughter of the late Clarence Washington Caples and the late Ethel Blanche Caples (nee McQuay).

She retired as a seamstress for English American Tailors of Westminster. She was a member of Taylorsville U.M. Church in Taylorsville She was a Life member of the Winfield Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and Member of Women of the Moose #897 in Westminster and member of VFW 467 in Westminster, College of Regents honor received in 1971.

She was the wife of the late William Emerson Franklin.

Surviving are daughters and sons in law of Patricia and Donald Lentzner of Woodbine, Doris and Norman Vicarini of Taylorsville and Darlene and Joe Calabrese of Tucson, AZ. Brothers Clarence (Casey) Caples of Glyndon and Gordon M. Caples of Westminster, Sister Ruth E. Fisher of Hampstead. She was predeceased by sister Mildred V. Bennett. Grandchildren: Butch Groft of Taylorsville, Stephani Ciccotti of Preston, Connecticut, Lisa Martin of Westminster, Bobby Groft of Thurmont, Greg Shipley of Miami, FL and Donnie Lentzner of Taneytown.
Great grandchildren: Daryl, Bobby, Angella, Joey, Marcus, Danielle, Nicholas and Todd.
Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Monday June 9, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Chris Goebrecht of Taylorsville U.M. Church in Taylorsville and Rev. O.F. "Bud" Kibbe officiating.

Interment in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Sat. from 7-9 and on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home.

Winfield Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary Memorial Service Sunday at 7:30 PM at the funeral Home. Women of the Moose #897 in Westminster Memorial Service at the funeral home on Sunday 8:00 P.M.

Died Monday June 2, 2003 at Carroll County General Hospital.

He was the spouse of Ethel M. Rose Fuld.

He was born January 20, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany

The son of the late Jacob and late Nanette Zion Fuld.

Mr. Fuld worked for CSX Railway as a Fireman and Engineer.

He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Freedom Optimist where he served on numerous boards.

He is survived by his wife and Children: Karen Shores and Husband Jerry Of New Castle, CA, Deborah Dzielinski and Husband Bruce of Middletown, MD, Keith Fuld of Winfield, MD Sisters: Shirley Knopf of Long Beach, CA and Hilda Goldsmith of Cranberry, NJ

Grandchildren: Adrianne Mayonado, Kirk Shores, Heath Brown, Zachariah, Alexander and Sarah Grace Dzielinski.

Funeral Services will take place Thursday, June 5, 2003 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD

Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD

Died Saturday une 7, 2003 at Fairhaven Retirement Community, Sykesville, MD

She was the spouse of the late Donald A. Eitemiller.

She was born November 15, 1922 in Hebbville, MD. The daughter of the late Percy and late Lillian Henritz Timanus.

Mrs. Eitemiller was a Homemaker.

She was a member of Salem UMC Hebbville, MD and also a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed reading, sewing and canning fresh vegetables..

She is survived by Son and Daughter-in-law Kent and Elizabeth Eitemiller of Woodbine, MD . Grandchildren: Patricia D. Eitemiller of Reston, VA and Matthew C. Eitemiller of Woodbine.

Also Survived by numerous in-laws and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by William Timanus.

Funeral Services will take place on Thursday June 12, 2003 at 10 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME, 1212 WEST OLD LIBERTY RD. WINFIELD, MD 21784WITH THE Rev. Leander Anske and Rev Lamar Kopp officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

Died Saturday, June 14, 2003 at GBMC in Baltimore, MD

He was the spouse of Rhoda Catherine Evans Ripley

He was born June 1, 1925 in Howard County, MD the son of the late Samuel B and Ella Augusta Leatherwood Ripley.

Mr. Ripley was retired from Springfield State Hospital. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy on the SS John B. Lennon. Mr. Ripley is a Life Member of both the American Legion Gold Star Post 191, MT. Airy, MD and The Westminster Elks Club #2277.

Surviving him besides his wife are his Children and their spouses: Donna Jean Ripley Fleming and Husband Gilbert of Finksburg, Joan Frances Ripley Henley of Woodbine, Francine Ripley Dorsey and Husband Tom Dorsey, Jr. of Woodbine.

Also survived by brother: Robert Ripley of Sykesville Grandchildren: Michelle Lee Fleming and fiancée CB Blevins, David Ripley Henley, Katie Rebecca Henley, Tyler Nicholas Dorsey, Claudia Marie Dorsey and Kyle Owen “Karl” Dorsey. Devoted Friend: Talmadge Balance.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday June 17, 2003 10 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Fred Eckhardt officiating. Interment will be in Morgan Chapel cemetery, Woodbine, MD

Dorothy I. McCauley Drapkin
72, of Woodbine, MD
1930 - 2003

Died Sunday March 16, 2003 at Carroll County General Hospital.

Born November 24, 1930 in Reisterstown, MD she was the daughter of the late Benjamin McCauley and the late Hildred Peltzer Tolman.

Mrs. Drapkin, a homemaker, was the spouse of Emanuel Drapkin.

She loved caring for Birds, Cats and Chipmunks.

She is survived by daughters Deborah MacNeil of Pasadena, Dorothy Keith of Westminster, Cynthia Ford of Columbia, Faith Hammond of Lutherville, and Step-daughter Tracy Brown; Brother William McCauley of Hagerstown, and Sisters Ann Taylor of Florida and Margaret Hogan of Parkville.

Mrs. Dapkin is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD Wednesday March 19, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with an Evening Funeral Service at 8:00 PM

The family will serve refreshments at their home, 5903 Woodbine Rd., in between viewing hours. on Wednesday.
