Mary A. Wright (nee Wetzel), age 84, of Woodbine, died Wednesday January 1, 2003, at Golden Age Guest Home, Sykesville, MD
She was born August 29, 1918 in Mt. Airy, Maryland the daughter of the late Howard Wetzel and the late Agnes Virginia Wetzel (nee Hoffmaster).
She was a retired Nursing Assistant at Springfield Hospital in Sykesville. She was a member of the Ebenezer Owls, Westminster Moose Lodge, Taylorsville U.M. Church and the Ladies Auxiliary at Winfield Vol. Fire Co.
She was the wife of late Truman Woodrow Wright.
She was the mother of Charlotte M. Chester of Arbutus, Ginny L. Jones of Sykesville, Linda W. Chrest of Florida, Marvin W. Wright of PA and the late William Wright.
Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren
Funeral Service will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sat. January 4, 2003 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. O.F. "Bud" Kibbe, Methodist clergy, officiating.

Henry C. Shade, Sr., age 68, of Granite, MD., died Thursday January 16, 2003 at Northwest Hospital Center, Randallstown, MD.
He was born March 8, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland the son of the late John G. Shade and the late Eleanor B. Watkins Shade.
He was a retired self-employed Auto mechanic.
He was a member of the Corinthian Masonic Lodge #93 A.F. & A.M.
He was a former member of the Randallstown-Liberty Exchange Club.
He was the husband of Cookie E. Shade (nee Minor).
He was the father of Christina Blucher, Henry C. Shade, Jr., Dolly Link and Gary W. Shade.
Brother of Eva Timchula and Eleanor Shade.
Also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Monday January 20, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Margaret "Peggy" Ferguson of Granite Presbyterian Church in Granite officiating.
Interment will be in Granite Presbyterian Church cemetery, Granite, MD.
Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Sat. 7-9 and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
There will also be a Corinthian Masonic Lodge #93 A.F. & A.M. Service Sunday at 8:00 PM and a Eastern Star #100 Parkville Service Sunday at 7:30 PM.

Died Wednesday July 9, 2003 at her home in Mt. Airy.
She was the spouse of Larry Eugene Mundy, Sr.
She was born June 30, 1939 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of Thelma Mauck Spurrier and Step-Father Wilber Spurrier.
Mrs. Mundy was the Corporate Secretary for Mt. Airy Cold Storage for over 30 years.
She is a member of Liberty Baptist Church . She enjoyed reading and doing needlework.
She liked taking trips to their home in Ocean Pines.
Surviving besides her husband are Son: Larry E. Mundy, Jr. and Wife Dina M. of Woodbine, Daughter: Brenda K. Mundy of Mt. Airy and Daughter in-Law Debbie K. Mundy of Mt. Airy. 5 Grandchildren: Melody, Carolyn, Lauren, Jennifer and Matthew Mundy. Twin Sister Mazie E. Barnes of Winfield and Several Nieces and Nephews
Preceded in death by son Robert L. Mundy.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday July 12, 2003 10 AM at Liberty Baptist Church, 1275 North Ave. Lisbon, MD 21765 with the Rev. Keith Corrick officiating.
Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD.
The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7-9 PM

Roland A. Gosnell, Jr.
81, of Mt. Airy, MD
1921 - 2003
Roland A. Gosnell, Jr. age 81, of Mt. Airy, MD died Monday February 24, 2003 at his home.
He was born November 6, 1921 in Mt. Airy, Carroll County, Maryland the son of the late Roland Anthony Gosnell, Sr. and the late Dorethene E. Gosnell (nee Gunn).
He served in the Army during WWII in the Medics. He had his Realty License, agent for 25 years. He retired from being self-employed, Gosnell Flooring Contractor business for 35 years. He was a member of the State Central Committee Republican Party for 10 years and member of the Tax Assessment Appeals Board for 10 years. He was a Life Member of VFW # 8806 in Union Bridge. He was a Life Time Charter member of the Westminster Elks #2277, and a member of Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Club for 48 years and 1 month, joined January 24, 1955, and he was awarded the highest Lionism award, the Melvin Jones award. He loved the water, fishing, boating and crabbing on the bay. He loved to snow ski. He graduated in 1939 from Mt. Airy High School.
He was the husband of June S. Gosnell (nee Stoner).
He was survived by his son and daughter in law Brett S. and Kim Gosnell of Mt. Airy, his sister and brother in law- Nan and Earl Hyde of Linwood, MD and sister in law- Jean Gosnell of Oakland, MD. He was predeceased by brother Charles E. Gosnell. He was a loving Pap of Austin and Kyle Gosnell. Survived by several nieces and nephews.
Brother in law of Carl Stoner and wife Margie of Westminster and survived by an Aunt Dorothy Gosnell of Mt. Airy.
Memorial Service will be held Sunday March 2, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Club and the Westminster Elks #2277 participating in the service, with the Rev. John O. Price, Methodist clergy officiating.

Died Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at Continuum Care at Sykesville.
Born July 26, 1907 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey J. Gehr and Sudie Alice Shockey Gehr.
He lived in Waynesboro and Reading, PA and Baltimore and Eldersburg, MD. He graduated from Waynesboro High, attended Bucknell and graduated from the Cincinnati School of Embalming. He worked as a Funeral Director in Waynesboro, Reading and Baltimore. He also worked as a machinist for several companies in Baltimore.
He was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church of Randallstown, MD and a Master Mason with Liberty Lodge #219 A.F & A. M. of Cockeysville, MD this is the. He enjoyed golf, pigeon breeding and racing with his son. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and metal work.
Surviving are his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth B. Gehr of Eldersburg, MD; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Victor and Tammy Gehr of Eldersburg, MD; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Valerie and Kevin Dawson and Vanessa and Keith Stewart both of Westminster, MD; and great-grandchildren, Kirsten and Courtney Gehr, Jennifer and Jessica Dawson, and Reid Stewart; sister-in-law, Louise Gehr of Waynesboro, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Isabelle Martin Gehr; his son, Samuel M. Gehr; his brothers, Ralph Edison Gehr, Harvey Wayne Gehr, and John Shockey Gehr; and his sister, Katharine Belle Gehr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2003 from 2 PM until 6:00 PM at the home of Valerie and Kevin Dawson, 4616 Geeting Road, Westminster, MD 21158. Interment will be private.

She was born June 14, 1946 in Carroll County, Maryland, the daughter of the late Dewey John Bryant and late Birdie Margaret Bryant (nee Wolverton).
She was a retired LPN nurse for Springfield State Hospital for 33 yrs.
Mother of Michael Barrie Hall, Jr. of Woodbine, Robin Rebecca Hall of Woodbine.
Grandchildren: Ashley Rebecca Hall of Hampstead, Tyler Michael Carr of Woodbine Also survived by ex-husband Michael Barrie Hall Sr. of Westminster.
Sister of Richard Lynn Bryant of Glenwood and Carol Ann Hungerford-Windsor of Sykesville, Clifford Allen Bryant of Dayton, MD and the late Earl Bryant, William Bryant and Ellen Stanley.

Sarah S. "Sadie" Liddle Douglass, age 82, formerly of Randallstown, MD died Monday February 17, 2003 at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester, MD.
She was born January 4, 1921 in Airdrie, Scotland the daughter of the late John Liddle and the late Helen Storrie Liddle.
She was the wife of the late John C. Douglass, Sr.
She had worked at the Farm Bureau as a secretary and most recently retired from the Social Security Administration Baltimore Federal Credit Union.
She was member of Mt. Olive U.M. Church in Randallstown. Active participant in the Randallstown-Liberty Exchange Club. And Randallstown Bowling League.
