Margaret J. Slick (nee Bailey), age 64, of Monrovia, died Monday February 2, 2004 at College View Center in Frederick, MD.

She was born June 1, 1939 in Tazwell, Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert P. Bailey and the late Mary Hazel Bailey (nee Blankenship).

She was the wife of the late William Howard Slick.

She is survived by one son, William Robert Slick and wife Diana Jean of Monrovia, MD, two daughters, Shirley Ann Prichard and husband Donald of Mount Alto, PA and Barbara Jean Slick and friend Austin Gorsuch of Woodsboro, MD. She is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Ann Harder of Laurel, MD and Nora May Wright of Damascus, MD, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great grand-daughter, Gabriella Naverro.

She was loved and will be dearly missed by friends and family.

Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Friday February 6, 2004 from 10:00 AM till 12:00 noon, at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. Herman Sirk of Goshen Mennonite Church and Rev. Frank Reno will be officiating.

Interment will be in True Gospel cemetery, Lisbon, MD

Arrangements made by Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., Winfield, MD.

David R. Tignor, Sr.
62, of Granite, MD
1941 - 2004

David R. Tignor, Sr., age 62, of Granite, died Saturday January 31, 2004 at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, MD.

He was born July 13, 1941 in Howard County, MD the son of Freda H. Tignor (nee Affeldt) of Eldersburg and the late Grady Thomas Tignor.

He was a retired Steel Worker Machinist for Local Union #12 and he loved wood working and gardening.

He was the husband of Mary Ann Tignor (nee Pickett) of Granite.

He was the father of David Randall Tignor, Jr. of Finksburg, Gregory Allen Tignor and wife Aileen of Glen Rock, PA, Connie Marie Bettendorf and husband Robert of Union Bridge, Brian Kevin Tignor and Wife Jamie of Sykesville, Steven Bradley Tignor and wife Tambrey of Westminster and the late Brandon Edward Tignor.

Brother of Donald M. Tignor of Pasadena, S. Jean Edmondson of Eldersburg, Sharon L. Jordan of Eldersburg and the late Ruby Lee and late Barbara A. Tyler.

Grandfather of David Ray, Nickolas Cody, Matthew Jacob, Kandace Brooke, Jennifer Marie, Megan Rose and Alexander Mendoza.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday February 5, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Mr. Bernard Stokes of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Berrett officiating.

Interment will be in Springfield cemetery, Sykesville, MD

Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Tues. 7-9 and Wed. 3-5 & 7-9 PM.

Grace Lynn "Dee Dee" Robinson
42, of Westminster, MD
1961 - 2004

Died Sunday January 18, 2004 at Carroll Hospital Center.

She was born September 30, 1961 in Hickory, WV the daughter of the late John Benjamin and Mary Juanita Maul Robinson.

Ms. Robinson was a retired Nail Technician and a former employee of Economy Distribution Warehousing.

She is survived by Companion, James W. Buhl of Finksburg, Sisters: Robin Balsamo of Essex, Anita Robinson of Brooklyn Park, Lisa Robinson of Pikesville and Leslie Grimes of Kingsville.

She is also survived by Foster Mother, Lorraine Giordano of Glen Burnie.

Funeral Services will be conducted at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME, 1212 WEST OLD LIBERTY RD. WINFIELD, MD 21784, on Wednesday January 21, 2004 at 10 AM.

Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Burrier-Queen funeral Home.

Ronald "Ronnie" K. Brown
58, of New Windsor, MD
1945 - 2004

Ronald K. Brown, 58, died Thursday, January 1, 2004 at University Of MD Medical Center.

He was born April 25, 1945 in Montgomery County, MD the son of the late Kenneth Brown and the late Charlotte May Skipper Patterson.

Mr. Brown Enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing, Hunting and Fishing, and the outdoors.

Surviving are: Step Father: Walter James Patterson of Dayton, MD

Son: Ronald Warren Brown of Winfield, Daughter: Wendy Millender of Manchester.

Sister and Brother in-law Shirley June and Bryan Lee Kendall of Westminster, Brother: William Edward Brown of Dayton, MD Sister and Brother in-law Patricia Diane and Mark Metzger of Waldorf, MD

Grandson: Brandon Millender

Special Friends: James Dean and Audra Marie Gouge of Westminster.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Earl Glenroy Rice
84, of Mt. Airy, formerly of Cumberland, MD
1939 - 2003

Died Friday March 19, 2004 at Haven Assisted Living in Mt. Airy, MD

Mr. Rice was the spouse of the late Alma Rice and later the later Gloria Ballard Rice.

He was born March 22, 1919 in Cumberland, MD the son of the late Alonzo Glenroy and late Mertie Beall Rice.

Mr. Rice was owner of Concrete Supply Corporation in Silver Spring, MD. He also owned a farm in Cumber land where he raised crops and animals. A Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army in Africa and the European Theatre. He loved to Garden and enjoyed Bowling.

He is survived by a daughter: Robyn Roland of Mt. Airy and 2 Grandchildren Becka and John Roland.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday March 22, 2004 9:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784

Interment will be on March 22, 2004 2:00 PM at Greenmount cemetery, Corner of Shades and Frost Lane in Clumberland, MD

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 21, 2004 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM .

She was born January 22, 1907 in Rockdale, MD., the daughter of the late August Edward Liebno, Sr. and the late Lillie Elizabeth Liebno (nee Reiblich).

The wife of the late Dwight E. Hartman, Sr.

She was a housewife and storekeeper.

She was the mother of Dwight E. Hartman, Jr. of Granite and Carl M. Hartman of Randallstown.

Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Monday March 15, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Dr. Rev. Colin Phillips of Salem U.M. Church in Hebbville, MD officiating,

Edith Virginia Gosnell (nee Mormann) age 73, of Reisterstown, died Friday March 26, 2004 at her home.

She was born May 8, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Clarence Edward Mormann and the late Rose Emma Mormann (nee Jones).

She was a homemaker.

She was the wife of the late Ralph Oliver Gosnell, Sr.

She was the mother of Sarah J. Murray of Baltimore, Cathy M. Szymanski of Taneytown and Ralph O. Gosnell, Jr. of Reisterstown, MD.

Dear sister of Edward Mormann of Jacksonville, Rosemary Mormann of Moorehead, South Carolina and Anne Denner of Hampstead.

Loving grandmother of Jenna C. Slonaker of Baltimore and Kyleen A. Murray of Baltimore and Joseph E. Szymanski of Taneytown.

Memorial Service will be held Tuesday March 30, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe, Methodist Clergy. Officiating.

Private interment

Gathering of Friends and family will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Tuesday March 30, 2004 from 6:00-7:00 PM, at which time service will begin.
