Esther Annette Grandmont Panneton, 87, of Mt. Airy Formerly of Laurel, MD, died November 26, 2004 at Montgomery County General Hospital. She was the spouse of the Late Jules Panneton who passed away last June. She was born October 30 1917 in Manchester, NH the daughter of the late William H. Grandmont and late Malvina Bernia Grandmont. Before retiring to become a homemaker she worked as a telephone operator for Ma Bell. She was Active in the Alter Society at St. Mary of Mills in Laurel MD Where she was a Member of the Ladies of Charity, a branch of the Knights of Columbus. She worked with Meals on Wheels of Laurel . She was also a Lay Apostolate for St.Lukes in Ocean City

Surviving are Children: Robert J. Panneton of Houston, TX, Paul E. Panneton of Sykesville, Annette Fleishall of Sykesville Brothers : Paul Emile Grandmont of NJ Sisters Theresa Panneton and Vienna VA and Jeanette Fleming of Manchester, NH

7 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday December 1, 2004 10 Am at the “Old Church” at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church Poplar Springs, 1125 St. Michael Rd. Mt. Airy, MD 21771. Interment will be in Parklawn cemetery, Rockville, MD

The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 30, 2004 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM with a Christian Wake service at 7:30 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty rd. Winfield, MD 21784.

Donnie Lee Dorsey
51, of Woodbine, MD
1953 - 2004

Donnie Lee Dorsey, age 51, of Woodbine, died Monday November 8, 2004.

He was the son of Raymond N. Dorsey and Grace E. Dorsey (nee Fleming)-both living-of Woodbine.

He was born March 28, 1953 in Carroll County, Maryland.

He enjoyed reading train and golfing books. He enjoyed his baseball cards. He enjoyed his stuffed animals.

Survived by his brothers Thomas N. Dorsey and his wife Barb of Woodbine and Charles Edward Dorsey and wife Inez of Westminster.
Also survived by several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be Friday November 12, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe, Methodist Clergy officiating.

Interment Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

Joseph Braglio
92, of Woodstock, MD
1911 - 2004

Died Friday February 6, 2004 at Mariner Health Care.
He was the spouse of the late Ida Myers Braglio. He was born September 16, 1911 in Baltimore, MD.
Mr. Braglio was the founder of the Windsor Inn and worked along with his son and Grandson at the Woodstock Inn and Millstream Inn. Mr. Braglio was one of the founders of the Baltimore County Licensed Beverage Association. Loved Horse Racing and owned Race Horses for numerous years.

He was the father of the late Joseph “Wayne” Braglio, Sr.

Surviving him are grandsons: Anthony “Scott” Braglio, Sr. and Joseph Wayne Braglio, Jr. Great-grandfather of Anthony Scott Braglio, Jr., Roman Joseph Braglio, Jared Joseph Braglio and Megan Rose Braglio.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 9, 2004 11:00 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784
Interment will be in Granite Presbyterian Church cemetery, Granite, MD

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM

1936 - 2002

Anna Jeanette Fitzgerald (nee Hoover), age 66, of Woodbine, died Monday October 21, 2002 at Carroll County General Hospital, Westminster, MD

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD

The funeral will be at 12:00 noon Thursday Oct. 24, 2002 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home

William Edward Moss
83, of Manchester formerly Mt. Airy, MD
1920 - 2003

Died Friday November 21, 2003 at Pleasant View Nursing Home.

He was the spouse of Nancy May Penn Moss.

Mr. Moss was born July 14, 1920 in Leesburg, VA the son of the late William Oscar and late Elizabeth Nell Peery Moss. Mr. Moss was a life long farmer in the Mt. Airy area. He also enjoyed Oil Painting.

Surviving are Daughter : Sallie M. Moss of Manchester, Son: Clinton Oscar Moss of Manchester, Son-in-law Roger W. Tabler, Sr of Westminster, Sister Margaret Venzke of Arlington, VA Grandchildren : Roger W. Tabler, Jr. of Manchester, Sara E. Valenzuela of Mt. Airy, P. Andrew Tabler of Westminster, Katy L. Tabler of Westminster Great-Grandchildren: Rachel A. Tabler, Roger W. Tabler, III Also Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by Daughter Billie Rose Tabler and Son; William Peery Moss.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday November 25, 2003 at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, 2927 Gillis Falls Rd., Mount Airy, MD 21771 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Terry Gordon the church Pastor officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Olive United Methodist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD on Monday from 7 to 9 PM

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Mt. Olive U.M. Church or cemetery funds.

Roy Lee Lambert
75, of Westminster, MD
1928 - 2004

Roy Lee Lambert, Sr., age 75, of Westminster, died Thursday January 1, 2004 at York Hospital in York, PA.

He was born October 25, 1928 in Rocky Gap, VA the son of the late Jesse A. Lambert and the late Mary Belle Owen Lambert.

He was the husband of Norma J. Lambert (nee Ravenscroft).

He was a retired Shipping and Receiving Administrator for General Electric Company. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1948-1952. He is a member of the U.S.S. Rochester Association. He was a Life Member of the VFW Westminster #467 and the Westminster American Legion Post #31.

Devoted father of Rhonda Lynne Lambert of Westminster and Roy Lee Lambert, Jr. of Westminster. Dear brother of Edgar W. Lambert of Middle River, Ada M. Metten of Fulton, MD, Juanita M. Punte of Fulton, MD and the late James B. Lambert. Also survived by three grandsons and one granddaughter.

Funeral Service will be held Monday January 5, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating.

Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-5 PM and on Monday from 10-11 A.M.

Robert Joseph Gray, Jr., age 52, of Mt. Airy, MD, died suddenly Monday February 23, 2004 at his home.

He was born September 7, 1951 in Patchogue, New York, the son of Robert Joseph Gray, Sr. and Josephine Gray (nee Mercurio) of Clarksburg, West Virginia.

He was a Senior Information Specialist for CSSI, Inc. in Washington, DC. He served in the US Navy for 23 years and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer, W-2. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Jaguar Association. He enjoyed golfing and movies.

Surviving besides his parents are one son Nathan Edward Gray of South Wales, U.K., one sister Terri Lynn Yoos and husband John of Clarksburg, W.V. and two nephews Timothy and Michael Yoos of Clarksburg, W.V. Also survived by one Aunt and seven cousins.

Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held Saturday February 28, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Sykesville with the Fr. Patrick Tonry of Sykesville officiating.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, MD.

1933 - 2004

Died Sunday January 18, 2004 at Westminster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Willey was the spouse of the late Lois Ellen Dennis Willey and currently the spouse of Lennie Smith.

He was born September 8, 1933 in Dundalk, MD the son of the late Lee Mace Willey, Sr. And Late Vida Marcella Mettee Willey.

He was retired Electrician from Bethlehem Steel. He served in the US Army as a Cook during the Korean War. Mr. Willey was an Elder at Granite Presbyterian Church . He was also an Avid Woodworker and Woodcarver.

Surviving are Son: Lee Mace Willey, III of Fairbanks, Alaska, Son and Daughter-in-law Michael and Mary Willey of Hampstead. 5 Grandchildren: Casey, Debbie, Zach, Zeke, and Eli Willey, Brother : Ishmael Willey of Dundalk. Preceded in death by daughter: Julia Kim Willey and Sister: Betty Lee Matthai.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday January 21, 2004 2:00 Pm at Granite Presbyterian Church, 10637 Old Court Rd. Woodstock, MD 21163 with the Rev. Jan Trammell-Savin officiating.

Interment will be Private.

The Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784

In lieu of Flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Granite Presbyterian Church Deacons Fund for the needs of the community.

John Donald Barnes
86, of Mt. Airy, MD
1917 - 2004

Died Sunday January 18, 2004 at Lorien Nursing Home of Mt. Airy.

He was the spouse Beulah Brandenburg Barnes of Mt. Airy, MD

Mr. Barnes was born October 15, 1917 in Woodbine, MD the son of the late Walter S. and Annie M. Davis Barnes.

He was a Member of American Legion Gold Star Post 191 of Mt. Airy, MD and Served during WWII in the US Navy. He was a truck driver for 33 years with Baltimore-Pittsburgh Company.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Virginia Franklin of Gary Minnesota, and numerous other family members. He is preceded in death by a brother the late Raymond Barnes and a sister, the late Clara Zepp.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2004 11:00 AM at Mt. Olivet cemetery, 515 S. Market St. Frederick, MD 21701

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216 Glen Allen, VA 203058-5216

Harry Alwin Nevel
78, of Sykesville, MD
1925 - 2004

Died Thursday January 22, 2004 at Northwest Hospital Center.

He was the spouse of Barbara A. Nevel (nee Longenberger)

Mr. Nevel was born December 18, 1925 in Williamsport, PA the son of the late John E. And Bertha Susan Owens Nevel. Mr. Nevel was Founder and President of Car-Vel Sales and Service working in the Petroleum Industry for over 35 years. Mr. Nevel was a WWII Veteran Serving in the US. Air force as a Tail Gunner in the 8th AF 452 Bomb Group @ Depham Green England and Flew 31 Missions. Mr. Nevel loved family, Music, Books and his many friends. He was an avid collector of Clown Figurines. Mr. Nevel was a member of B.P.O.E 173 of Williamsport, PA and the American Legion of Williamsport, PA.

Surviving besides his wife are Children: Kevin J. Nevel of Belair, Bill Nevel of Sykesville, Keith Nevel of Alpharetta, GA, Susan Goodlaxson of Towson, Marilyn Cheramie of Marrero, LA, Brother: Fenton Nevel of Williamsport, PA

Grandfather of Michelle and Carrie Cheramie, Kristen and Alex Nevel, Donald Goff, Harrison “Harry” Nevel, Harper Nevel, Abagail and Richard Goodlaxson and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday January 27, 2004 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD at 9:00 AM

Interment Garrison Forest Veterans cemetery, Owings Mills, MD

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday form 7 to 9 Pm and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7-9 PM
