Elizabeth G. Bowers (nee Guetler), age 77, of Randallstown, died Wednesday June 1, 2005 at Northwest Hospital Center, Randallstown, MD.

She was born October 30, 1927 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late John Earl Howard Guetler, and the late Marie Guetler (nee Vermillion).

She was the wife of the late Raymond G. Bowers.

She was a housewife and a member of St. Marks on the Hill Episcopal Church.

She was the mother of Bruce Bowers and his wife Stacey of Eldersburg and Kimberly Bowers of Randallstown .

Also surviving are grandson Timothy Bowers and granddaughters Stephanie, Sarah, and Samantha Bowers all of Alpena, MI .

Funeral service will be held Monday June 6, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Marks on the Hill Episcopal Church, 1620 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD with Rev. William M. Dunning officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery .

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (beside South Carroll High School) on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

88, of Mt. Airy, MD
1916 - 2005

E. Elizabeth “Libby” Harrison (nee Buckman), age 88, of Mt. Airy, died Saturday March 19, 2005 at Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, Md.

She was born October 16, 1916 in Mt. Airy, MD, the daughter of the late Charles Buckman and the late Nora Buckman (nee Gilbert).

She was the wife of the late Morley W. Harrison.

She was a Life Long member and Choir director and played the piano for Prospect U.M. Church in Mt. Airy and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mt. Airy Vol. Fire Company and the American Legion Gold Post #191 in Mt. Airy . She was an owner of a novelty store on Main Street in Mt. Airy during the 40’s and 50’s.

She was the mother of Warren E. Harrison and wife Ernestine of Brunswick, Georgia.

Dear sister of Mary Rimby of Mt. Airy, Virginia Linton of Mt. Airy and Emmette Buckman of Baltimore, and the late Audrey Guassardo, late Ralph Buckman, late Leo Buckman and the late Robert Buckman.

Loving grandmother of Kathi Smith of Blythe Island, Georgia, Toni Smoot of Frederick and Erin Harrison of Brunswick, Georgia .

Also survived by 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday March 23, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Prospect U.M. Church, 5923 Woodville Road, Mt. Airy, MD with the Rev. Susan Boehl of Prospect U.M. Church in Mt. Airy officiating.

Interment will be in Prospect U.M. Church cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD.

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on

Tuesday 7-9 PM. And on Wed. from 10-11 AM at Prospect U.M. Church

Mrs. Elizabeth Jean Skinner Hardesty, 73 of Winfield, MD, died Monday November 21, 2005 at her home in Winfield, MD

She was the spouse of Robert Hugh Hardesty of Winfield.

She was born October 19, 1932 in Montgomery County MD

She was the daughter of the late George Skinner and the late Mary King Winters.

Mrs. Hardesty was retired from driving School Buses for Montgomery County Public Schools. She loved making flower arrangements, Gardening and shopping.

Surviving her in addition to her spouse are Son and daughter-in-law Fred and Peggy Oaks Jr. of Berkley Springs WV, Daughter: Elizabeth Jean Dempsey of Mount Airy . Brother: George Skinner of Takoma Park, MD, Sister: Mary May-Grover of North Beach, MD Brother and Sister-in-law; Joseph and Peggy Skinner of Laytonsville, MD Sister Cecelia Winter of Gore VA, Brother; John Skinner of Lynchburg, VA, Grandchildren: Frankie Lee, Edward Hunter, Elizabeth Ann Dickenson, Breannan Marie Dempsey, Holly Christina Pelton all of Mt. Airy, and Danniel Joseph Oakes of Berkley Springs WV

Preceded in death by son: the late Joseph Oakes.

Prayers will be said Friday November 25, 2005 3:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield MD 21784. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2PM until the time of service.

Elsie Thompson Stanton, 68 of Westminster formerly of Taylorsville, MD, died Tuesday May 31, 2005 at her home in Westminster. She was the spouse of the late Stanley T. Stanton, Sr.

She was born December 24, 1936 in Carroll County, MD the daughter of the late Freeman Thompson and late Lillian Fogle Thompson.

Mrs. Stanton was a retired custodian for Carroll County Public Schools. She enjoyed Embroidery and when she was able working in her flower garden.

She is survived by step-children: Stanley T. Stanton, Jr. of Severn, MD Linda S. Stanton of Baltimore and Ruth E. Wright of Laurel . 3 Step-Grandchildren and 1 Step Great-Grandson. Sisters: Martha Ewell of Clearwater FL, Brenda Sharrer of Taneytown, Annabelle Bales of Hanover, PA and Fay Fields of Mt. Airy, MD Brother: William L. Thompson of Hampstead. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by Sister: Betty A. Welsh-Schmidt.

Funeral Services will be on Friday June 3, 2005 11:00 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784with the Rev. Fred Eckhardt officiating. Interment will be in Taylorsville, UMC cemetery, Taylorsville, MD

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM

Eric Paul Haynal, 36 of Mt. Airy, MD, died Tuesday September 13, 2005 at home in Mt. Airy

He was the husband of Erika Christine Backof Haynal and father of Adam Thomas Haynal of Mt. Airy .

He was the son of Steven Haynal of Silver Spring and Nancy Price Doherty of Deale, MD.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are: Grandfather: Ralph Haynal of Baltimore, Grandmother: Emily Bloom of Baltimore, Sisters: Jaime and Brieanna Haynal of Huntingdon, PA. Mother and Father-in-laws: Gary and Connie Backof of Mt. Airy .

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Saturday September 17, 2005 11 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Parish Center Route 75 and Route 26 Libertytown, MD

Interment will be in the church’s cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 on Thursday from 7-9 and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a Christian Wake at 8:30 on Friday.

Marie Fertitta Smith, 82 of Cooper Ridge Retirement Community formerly of Randallstown, MD, died Sunday July 10, 2005 at Copper Ridge.

She was the spouse of the late Samuel Fertitta and also the spouse of her second husband the late Philip Smith. She was born June 10, 1923 in Cefalu, Sicily the daughter of the late Thomas and Francesca Curro Lascuola. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are Daughter: Caterina Grove of Reisterstown, Daughter: Francessca Metheny of Hanover, Daughter: Phyllis Teal of Reisterstown, Son: Phillip Fertitta of Reisterstown, Son: Thomas Fertitta of Reisterstown. Grandchildren: Janine Szokoly, Lucinda Grove, Daniel Grove, Thomas Metheny, Tara Fornaro, Jessica Teal, Ashley Fertitta, Samantha Fertitta, Brayden Fertitta, Matthew Fertitta and Rebecca Fertitta.

Great-Grandchildren: Athena Dahl, Alexander Szokoly, Christopher Metheny, Travis Metheny, Maya Fornaro, Ryan Fornaro. Also Survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and a close friend Marty Resnick.

Services will be conducted on Thursday July 14, 2005 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 . Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM

Etta C. Blizzard (nee Lough), age 83, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Manchester, MD, died Sunday January 30, 2005 at Lakeland Hills Nursing Center, Lakeland, FL.

She was born June 16, 1921 in Beryle, West Virginia the daughter of the late David Clinton Lough and the late Dorothy C. Lough (nee Dermer).

She was the beloved wife of the late Floyd Leonard Blizzard.

She was a Master Barber in Eldersburg. She loved Animals

She was the devoted mother of Mona C. Pickett of Charlestown, West Virginia, David Kenneth Moore, Sr. of Glen Burnie, Floyd R. Droll of Sykesville, Gary L. Blizzard of Lakeland, FL and the late Sandra K. Taylor and the late George W. Lough.

Dear sister of Dorothy Ault of Keyser, West Virginia and Charles Smith of Rawlings, MD.

Also survived by 25 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Friday February 4, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev, Paul Leatherman of Sams Creek Church of the Brethren in New Windsor officiating.

Interment Lake View Memorial Park

Francis Pat Suter, Sr. age 67, of Pikesville, died Monday December 5, 2005 at Great Baltimore Medical Center .

He was born September 23, 1938 in Hagerstown, MD the son of the late Arthur Gable Suter and The late Marie Agnes Park Suter.

He was an Automotive Technician and Owner of Suter Performance Center/Shell Gas Station in Taylorsville, MD. He enjoyed collecting Model Trains, Collecting Coins and Drag Racing.

He was the husband of the late Martha M. Suter, for 45 years before her passing in July.

Surviving are Son: Pat Suter, Jr. of Annapolis, Sons and Daughter-in-laws Phillip and Georgia Suter, Paul and Tracey Suter all of Carroll County, Daughter and Son in-law. Penni and Todd Tyler also of Carroll County, and Son and daughter-in-law: Perry and Stacey Suter of Baltimore County . Sister: Phyllis Hare of Carroll County .

12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be Monday December 12, 2005 at 12:00 noon at St. Charles R.C. Church, 101 Church Lane, Pikesville with the Fr. Raymond Chase officiating.

Interment St. Charles Church cemetery, Pikesville.
