Marjorie B. Whittington (nee Buck), age 83 of Westminster , died Monday August 22, 2005 at Carroll Lutheran Village , Westminster , MD.
She was born October 17, 1921 in Baltimore , MD. She was the youngest daughter of the late Dr. Anthony John Buck and the late Myrtle A. Buck (nee Andrews).
She was predeceased by Brothers Richard and Burt Buck and Sister Vera Buck Butler. She was the wife of the late Emory M. Whittington.
She was a housewife. “Marge” raised her family in Baltimore County . She was active in the Rockdale Garden Club; Randallstown Women’s Club and was well known for her home baked cookie business. She moved to Carroll Lutheran Village in 1981 and was one of the original residents. She enjoyed participation in the singing group, fund raising activities and chapel volunteer work.
Survivors include a son, John “Jack” Whittington of Union Bridge; a son Andy Whittington of Sarasota , Florida ; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday August 31, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Krug Chapel & Auditorium at Carroll Lutheran Village with Pastor Jimmie Schwartz the Chaplain of Carroll Lutheran Village officiating.

Martha Marie Suter, (nee Cugle), age 64, of Pikesville , died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at her home.
She was born September 11, 1940 in Howard County, Maryland the daughter of the late Phillip Arthur Cugle and the late Mamie Ardelia Cugle (nee Derfilinger).
She was a housewife. She was a secretary for Suter Performance Center/Shell Gas Station in Taylorsville , MD.
She was the wife of Francis Pat Suter, Sr. of Pikesville , for 45 years.
Mother of Pat Suter, Jr. of Annapolis , Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Suter, Mr. & Mrs. Penni Tyler, Paul Suter all of Carroll County and Mr. & Mrs. Perry Suter of Baltimore County.
Also survived by 2 sisters, 3 brothers, 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be Thursday August 4, 2005 at 10:00 AM at St. Charles R.C. Church , 101 Church Lane , Pikesville with the Fr. Pat Chase officiating.
Interment St. Charles Church cemetery , Pikesville .

Mary Belle Holt
80, of Lisbon, MD
1924 - 2005
Mary Belle Holt, age 80, passed away at Carroll Hospital Center Sunday morning, June 12th 2005, during a beautiful sunrise. Belle was best known as a beloved mother and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born to Wilbur and Grace (Selby) Smith on September 12, 1924 in Lisbon , Maryland .
Mrs. Holt graduated from Lisbon High School in 1942, and then attended Strayer Business College . Shortly after college, Belle briefly worked at Fidelity Trust until her marriage to Earl K. Holt on April 1, 1945 when she discovered the joys of being a homemaker and mother. She started her notable fashion retail career at Peck & Peck in 1964 until she retired from the sales staff of Miller Brothers Clothiers in 1992. After she moved to Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster , MD in 1992, she became the manager of the Westminster Mission Store where she worked until 2001.
Belle is survived by her children Dennis and Barbara Holt of League City , TX and Marla Holt of Reisterstown , MD. She is also survived by her brothers Crawford and Rose Marie Smith of Greeneville, TN; Robert and Shirley Smith of Mt. Airy, MD; Edward and Patricia Smith of Mt. Airy, MD; her sister Margaret and Cliff Duntley of Owosso, MI. Surviving also are her three grandchildren, Zac, Jeremy and Emily Tibbels; her five step-grandchildren, Christina and Scott Jeffcoat, Holly Goldstein, Jeannie Long, and Stephen Holt; her five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl K. Holt, her parents Wilbur and Grace Smith, her brother Selby Smith, and her two grandchildren, Angel and Missy Holt. She leaves her devoted caregiver, Shirley Masemer, her beloved friends Nancy Billingslea, Lynne Gebhardt, Vince Dyer and her neighbors at the Carroll Lutheran Village community.
Funeral services will held on Friday June 17, 2005 10 Am in the Krug Auditorium and Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village , 300 St. Luke Circle , Westminster , MD 21158 . Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park , Sykesville , MD

Mary Louise Hutchins Cross, 85 of Westminster, MD died Sunday March 6, 2005 at Westminster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was the spouse of the late James Emory Cross. She was born August 27, 1919 in Woodbine, MD the daughter of the late Howard Oliver Hutchins and late Carrie Lee Musgrove Hutchins.
She was formerly employed by Nations Bank. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Mt. Airy, MD
Surviving her are Sister-in-law Ann Hutchins of Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by Brother and Sisters: Howard O. Musgrove, Jr, Dorothy Underwood and Margaret Haugh.
Services will be conducted on Friday March 11, 2005 3:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with Chaplain Judy Stayer from Carroll Hospital Center officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mary Sue Harrison (nee Reed), age 71, of Woodbine died Wednesday May 4, 2005 at her home.
She was born July 5, 1933 in Frederick County, Maryland the daughter of the Alpha Raymond “Jack” Reed and the late Janie Reed (nee Mercer).
She was a homemaker. Graduated from Frederick High School 1951. Worked at Frederick Trading Company before moving to Mt. Airy and later Woodbine, MD to raise her family and help her husband’s farming. She raised chickens and was a member of several organizations, including the Carroll County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee and Woodbine Southern States Farm Home Advisory Committee.
She was the wife of the late Fred E. “Gene” Harrison, Jr.
She was the mother of Sherry Harrison of Citra , Florida and Holly J. Harrison Frey of Mt. Airy .
Also survived by nieces Wendy Sue Miller of Delaware and Jacqueline Reed Ellis of Sharpesburg, MD, nephew Michael R. Harrison of Woodbine, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sister Helena Reed Cover.

Melvin Edison Haines, age 69, of Woodbine, Died Wednesday February 23, 2005 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD.
He was born January 13, 1936 at home in Woodbine, MD., he was the son of the late Melvin Victor Haines and the late Helen Viola Brightwell Haines.
He was the husband of the late Betty Duvall Haines.
Surviving Faithful Companion Mary Ann Eyler.
He was predeceased by brother Frank Eugene Haines and half sister Gloria Jean Van Metre of West Virginia.
He had been a Construction Worker for Randall Construction Company.
Also surviving son and daughter in law William Edison and Janiece Haines of LA, Diane M. Haines of Frederick, Russell L. Haines of Woodbine. Also Frank, Frances and Tammy Eyler. Grandchildren, Betty Kay Haines of Dickerson, MD, Christy Ann Haines and Coy Edison Wetzel of Frederick, Laurie Lee and Curtis Edison Haines of LA. Also Galen Monti, Travis and Hannah Earp of Woodbine, sister Patricia Ann Haines Brabham of Woodbine, Half sister Virginia Lee Haines and Half Brother Calvin Owens Haines both of West Virginia.

Melvin Wesley Collins, Sr., 84 of Carroll Lutheran Village Formerly of Hebbville, MD, died Saturday July 16, 2005 at Carroll Hospital Center.
He was the spouse of Gladys Mae Smoot Collins.
Mr. Collins was born June 14, 1921 in Baltimore , MD
The son of the late William W. Collins and the late Grace Elizabeth Lake Collins.
Mr. Collins was retired from the State of MD where he worked as a purchasing agent. He served in the United States Army from 1943-1945.
Surviving in addition to his wife are Children: Melvin W. Collins, Jr of Berkley Springs WV, Linda Carol Smith of Finksburg and Sister Hazel Wagner of Pleasant Valley , MD.
2 Granddaughters: Suzette Dorsey and Laura Collins and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son: The late Keith Lee Collins

Michael "Chad" Cianci, 30 of Westminster, MD died Friday March 25 2005 at the University of MD Medical Center in Baltimore MD . He is now at peace after a 6 year battle with Leukemia. Chad was born May 3, 1974 in Westminster , MD. He was the son of Frank Joseph Cianci, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Harvey Cianci both of Westminster .
Mr. Cianci was employed with Greens Ace Hardware in Winfield, MD
He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, 4 Wheelers and Motorcycles.
Also survived by Sister: Debi Cianci, Brothers: Tony and Joe Cianci.
