He was born December 7, 1934 in Upperco , Maryland ( Baltimore County ), the son of the late John Franklin Price and the late Myra Cole Price.

He was the husband of Ruby Hanson Price of Seaford , DE , married February 2, 1958 at Mt. Zion U.M. Church , Finksburg , MD ; lived 1958-59 Columbus , Ohio before Returning to Maryland .

Education- Franklin High School-1953, BA/Major in Religion, Houghton College , Houghton, NY-1958, Master of Religion Wesley Theological Seminary Washington, DC-1963.

He was a United Methodist Clergy for Baltimore Washington Conference United Methodist, position Held Elder for 39 years retired on June 30, 1999. 1958-1959 Minister of Youth, Livington U.M. Church, Columbus, Ohio, 1960-63 Pipe Creek Charge, Westminster, MD, 1963-66 St. James U.M. Church, West Friendship, MD, 1966-70 First U.M. Church, Lonaconing, MD, 1970-77 Darlington Charge, Darlington, MD, 1977-89, Taylorsville Charge, Mt. Airy, MD, 1989-94 Centennial Memorial U.M. Church, Frederick, MD, 1994-95 Providence U.M. Church, Monrovia, MD, 1995-99 Severn U.M. Church, Severn, MD. 200-2002- Wilmington Trust Bank-ATM Demonstrator.

He was a member of the Lions from 1970-1995; President of Darlington Recreation Council, Harford County Department of Parks, Darlington Elem. School PTA, Delegate of Harford County, PTSA, Director and President of Carroll County Unit American Cancer Society, Chaplain for Winfield Community Fire Dept. and Carroll County Fireman’s Association; Volunteer and active participant at St. John’s U.M. Church, Seaford, DE.; served on several commissions and committees and boards of the Baltimore Washington Conference during his 39 years of Ministry, served on Board of Directors and as secretary of the United Methodist Historical Society; served on Board of Directors and secretary for the Epworth Federal Credit Union.

Surviving in addition to his wife is son Timothy D. Price of Libertytown , MD , Daughter Loretta P. Ewell and husband Gary of Millsboro, DE., daughter Linda A. Price and Robert S. McEwen of Richmond , VA , and daughter Karen P. Koch and husband Jeffrey of Reston, VA.

Also survived by 3 grandchildren; Michael and Stephanie Ewell and Nathan Koch; Sister Ruth P. Brown of Manchester, MD, Sister Emmalie P. Bolte and husband Vernon of Reisterstown, MD and sister Georgianna P. Harvey and husband Donald of Hanover, PA.

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Friday from 5-8 PM. And on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 PM at Taylorsville U.M. Church , Taylorsville , MD.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday May 28, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Taylorsville U.M. Church , 4356 Ridge Road , Mt. Airy , MD , with the Rev. Chris Gobrecht and Rev. Clarence Roark officiating.

Private Interment.

Richard D. Rupert
80, of Mt. Pleasant, MD
1925 - 2005

Local horseman, Richard Dale “Dick” Rupert, 80, died at his home, Mt. Pleasant , Maryland on Saturday, December 3, 2005.

Born in Kittanning , PA. , June 30, 1925, he was a son of Kenneth E. and K. Blanche Rupert, both deceased.
He is survived by his wife, Utha Rigler Rupert and three children by a previous marriage, John Stephen Rupert and wife Gaye of Bartlette, IL, Diana Jayne Rupert of Port St. Lucie, FL., Richard Dale Rupert, Jr. and wife Kathleen, two grandchildren, Nathan and Jacqueline Rupert of Sandy, UT, one brother, Donald F. Rupert and wife Betty Ann of Erie, PA and one step-son, John P. Swomley and wife Ynita A. of Martinsburg, WV.
He will be remembered by very special friends, George Harne, Steve Spector, Ron Sowers, and Bob Robey.

Mr. Rupert was a Navy Veteran and served with the US Submarine Forces during WWII, receiving an honorable discharge in May of 1946. After his military service he attended Salem College , WV .

Mr. Rupert was a 32° Mason with over 50 years membership, belonging to the Columbia Lodge 058 AF&AM, Frederick , Md. He was also a member of The American Legion Post PA0325 #202397895, Cowansville , PA. , and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, S.J. , USA . Nashville , TN.

Dick was known as an outstanding horseman and a seasoned foxhunter. Throughout his life he hunted with some of the finest foxhunting establishments in the country and abroad and held membership in several local Hunts. He was also an accomplished and creative woodworker and enjoyed making items for family members and friends.

His memberships include several trail riding organizations: Central Maryland Saddle Club, Chestnut Ridge Horseman’s Riding Club, and the Trail Riders of Tomorrow and the Harley-Davidson Owners Group.

Dick loved the out of doors, his time spent with his favorite pet and companion, Gypsy, but his favorite time in life were those spent with his family. He truly loved his family and the many friends he acquired throughout his lifetime.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon-1:00 PM with a memorial service to follow. It will be held Thursday December 8. 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Road, Winfield, Md., with the Rev. Dennis Yocum of Calvary U.M. Church in Mt. Airy officiating. Frederick Columbia Lodge 058 AF & AM will have a memorial service before the Memorial Service Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home.

Inurnment will be private.

It is suggested that contributions be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216 , Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216

Richard Lee Johe, 78, of Eldersburg formerly of Catonsville, MD, died Sunday August 14, 2005 at home. He was the spouse of Angelina Margaret Maranto Johe. He was born May 2, 1927 in Hornell, NY the son of the late Lorenzo Frank and Ilah Lee Johe

He was Sr. Vice President for USF&G Insurance for 27 years and then Michigan Mutual for 14 years. Was appointed to the US Navel Academy in 1945. Mr. Johe was a Graduate of Alfred University. Also attended Duke, Syracuse, and Dartmouth Universities. He was a member of the US Actuarial Society. He was a member of the 1st class of Permanent Deacons for the Roman Catholic Church in the United States in 1971 and was assigned to Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Randallstown.

Mr. Johe was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of American Legion. He enjoyed playing Golf and reading Military Novels and was a Historian.

Surviving in addition to his wife are Daughter and son-in-law Kathleen A. and David A. Bartholow of Sykesville, MD Son: Gary L. Johe of Hanover, PA. Brother: Donald F. Lee of Metuchen, NJ

5 Grandchildren: Jennifer, Shannon, Mylinda, Chris and Tommy 1 great-granddaughter: Taylor.

A funeral Mass will be said Thursday August 18, 2005 11:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 9533 Liberty Rd. Randallstown, MD Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

The family will receive friends at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM

Robert Carroll Baker, 83, of Randallstown, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Gilchrist Hospice Center , Baltimore .

He was born March 18, 1922 in Baltimore , MD , the son of the late Oscar Fuhrman Baker and the late Mina Lee Baker (nee Chilcote).

He was a construction Superintendent with Whiting-Turner Contracting Co.

He was the husband of the late Virginia Marie Baker (nee Lages).

He was the father of David C. Baker, Diane B. Garro and Dale R. Baker.

Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Monday June 6, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Pastor Robert Day of St. James Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park , Sykesville , MD.

Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM where the Freedom Lodge #112 AF & AM will hold a memorial service on Sunday at 8 PM.

Robert Clifford Logue, 70 of Mt. Airy, MD, died Friday December 23, 2005 at Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy, MD

He was the spouse of Shirley Anne Burdette Logue. He was born April 2, 1935 in Carroll County MD. He was the son of late Wilford Logue and late Carrie Myrle Ogg Logue and Step-mother the late Ruby Gartrell Logue.

Mr. Logue was the founder of Bob’s Welding and Equipment in Taylorsville , MD. He was a member of Taylorsville United Methodist Church , Westminster Moose and the Westminster Elks Club. Past President of Carroll County Farm Bureau. Former Member of the Carroll County Agricultural Center Board. Mr. Logue was an avid Sports Fan, and enjoyed farming. He also served in the US Army Reserves.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are: Sons and Daughter-in-laws: David and Cassie Logue of New Windsor, Michael and Beth Logue of New Windsor.

Daughters and Son-in-laws: Shelly and Mike Laney of New Windsor and Sharon and Charlie Hahn of Libertytown. Brother: Larry Gartrell

Grandchildren: Hannah, Grant, Emmie and Brynn Laney, Lauren and Collin Logue. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 27, 2005 1:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield , MD.

Robert Earl Jennings, age 71, of Hurlock , MD , Formerly of Winfield, died Friday, August 26, 2005, at his home.

He was born August 26, 1934 in Nyack , New York the son of the late Robert Morland Jennings and the late Susan Morgan Jennings.

He was the husband of Ly Jennings for 39 years.

He was a carpenter; millwright. He was a member of Local Union #1548 for 50 years. He was a member since 1959 of the Prudence Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M., Mt. Airy , MD.

He was the father of Eugene Jennings of Bridgeville, Delaware, Randy Jennings of Pikesville, Dale Jennings of Winfield, Tami Littleton of Hurlock, MD, Janine (Thao) Woods of Atlanta, Georgia, Hung Nguyen of Gamber and the late Scott Jennings.

Brother of Betty Hartle of Winfield.

Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service Monday, August 29, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating.

Robert Earle Legore, 28 of Deland, FL, died June 25, 2005 in an automobile Accident on I-95 in FL.

Rob was a proud graduate of Palm Beach Gardens High School and Florida State University . He had a great Love for his two daughters and for the ocean and surfing. He also enjoyed gardening as he had a great respect for the preservation of nature. He was an active and serving member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Melbourne .

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Olivia and Genevieve of Tampa, His mother Linda Adkins of Deland and his father Robert Legore of Colchester, CT, his sister Aimee Talbot of Prosperity, SC and his grandmother, Elsie Legore of Westminster, MD

A Sunset memorial service was held Friday July 1st 2005 at 7:00 PM at Canova/Eau Gallie Beach in Melbourne , FL. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to a trust fund for Rob’s daughters and sent C/O Aimee Talbot, 791 Living Inn Rd. Prosperity , SC 29127

Robert John Lehr, 17 of Unionville, MD, died suddenly on Friday due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born November 9, 1987 in Farmville , VA.

He was the son of John R. Lehr of Kentucky and Belinda Doyle Burrier and spouse David Burrier of Unionville.

He attended Linganore High School as an Auto Body student in the schools Career and Technology Department. He worked at Advanced Auto Collision Repair in Frederick and enjoyed all cars in general.

Surviving in addition to his parents are Grandparents: William and Patricia Doyle of Eldersburg, Inona Lehr of Essex, Kenneth and Reba Burrier of Unionville Great- Grandparents James and Frances Doyle of Sykesville

Sisters: Rebecca Lee Lehr of Unionville, Rebecca Lynn Burrier of Unionville, Sister and Brother-in-law Cindy Smith and Brian Montgomery of Unionville.
