Samuel Edward Wroten, 88 of Ellicott City formerly of Brooklyn Park, MD, died Monday April 25, 2005 at Howard County General Hospital.
He was the spouse of Barbara Uzella ( Jackson ) Wroten. He was born September 2, 1916 in Baltimore , MD the son of the late Charles W. Wroten and the late Louise (Adelman) Wroten.
He worked as a Production Mechanic for American Can Company in Baltimore . He w as WWII Veteran of the US Army, Enjoyed Bowling and was a member of the 300 Club, an Amateur Photographer and Model Train Enthusiast
Surviving him in addition to his wife are Children and their spouses: Barbara J. and Dave Cox of Glen Burnie , Judith A. and Dave Pratt of Woodbine. Grandchildren: D. Matthew and Colleen Cox, Jr. of New Jersey , B. Christine and Rob Overstreet of Edgewood , David H. Pratt, Jr. of Woodbine and Brian M. Pratt of Frederick. 4 great-grandsons; Gage, Shaun, Koby and Daniel He is preceded in death by Sister and Brothers: Alice Bechtel, Roy, Melvin and Charles Wroten.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday April 29, 2005 11:00 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield , MD 21784 . with the Rev. Lisa Bandel-Sparks of Lisbon UMC officiating. Interment will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park .
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday 6 to 8 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM .

Stella Mae Alder (nee Parks), age 92, of Mt. Airy , Died Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Carroll Hospital Center , Westminster , MD.
She was born January 18, 1913 in Powell , VA the daughter of the late Ira Franklin Parks and the late Lavada Lane Parks.
She was a seamstress for the Mt. Airy sewing factory. She was general employee for a drugstore. She was a caregiver to her family.
She was the wife of the late Calvin James Alder.
She was the mother of Philip W. Alder and wife Mitzie and the late John C. Alder.
She was the sister of Frank and Ellis and Juanita Parks and half-sister of Mildred Mullins and Hazel Plantiko.
Predeceased by brothers; Clyde G., Roy and Edward Parks; and Sister Elizabeth Gibson
Also survived by 7 grandchildren; Keith W. Alder, Polly Luckabaugh and husband Larry, James C. Alder and wife Wanda, Ronald, Terry and Steve Alder, and Donna Humphries and Husband Karl; and great grandchildren; Crystal, Dwayne, and Brittany Luckabaugh and Brian and Stephanie Alder and numerous other great and great great grandchildren..
Funeral Service Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mt. Airy , Rt. 27 & Center Street extended, with the Bishop Charles Schuman officiating.
Interment Pine Grove cemetery , Mt. Airy

Stewart H. Welsh, age 68, of Woodbine, died Sunday May 15, 2005 at Carroll Hospital Center , Westminster , MD.
He was born December 6, 1936 in Baltimore , MD the son of the late Robert B. and Florence Ridgley Welsh.
He was the husband of Betty M. Welsh (nee Williams) his wife for 41 years.
He was a carpenter most of his life. He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing and his family. He served in the US Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are Kevin S. Welsh and long time friend David Dix of Woodbine, Keith A. Welsh of Woodbine, Kurt E. and daughter in law Kim Welsh of Woodbine, two granddaughters Brandi and Nicole Welsh of Woodbine, three nieces: Jalna, Blythe and Lori all of Westminster and several aunts and cousins.
Predeceased by brother the late Emmerson Welsh.
Graveside Service will be held Wednesday May 18, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Pleasant Ridge cemetery , Bethel & Woodbine Road, Woodbine, MD with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating.

She retired as a secretary for the Chessie System 40 years. She was the President of Railway Women Club. She sang in Sweet Adelines, she was a Sunday School Teacher, she was a Choir Director. She was a member of Elders Baptist Church in Eldersburg.
She was the mother of Paul D. Moore and Wife Christine N. Moore of Finksburg, and David A. Moore and wife Sharon K. Moore of Sykesville , MD.
She was the sister of Ira Browning of Ft. Meyers , Florida and Ivan Browning of Cincinnati , Ohio and Virginia Taylor of South Carolina .
She was the grandmother of Allison, Ashley, Heather and the late Ryan.
Great grandmother of Austin, Logan and Elizabeth.
