She was the daughter of the late Charles Oliver Welsh and the late Lucy Virginia Welsh (nee Owings).

She was born June 16, 1910 in Mt. Airy , MD.

She was a Department secretary for the Baltimore Gas & Electric Company for 11 years, she attended Strayer Business College . She was a former member of Wards Chapel U.M. Church and then Mt. Olive U.M. Church in Mt. Airy . She was a housewife and devoted mother. She enjoyed Traveling.

She was the wife of the late James Burgess Condon who died on January 24, 2001.

She was the mother of Burgess James Condon of Ellicott City Md.

Grandmother of Kelley M. McIver and Husband Edward of Westminster

Great grandmother of Ashley and Irelyn and Quinn McIver of Westminster .

Sister of the late LeRoy Welsh, late Oliver Welsh, late Virgie Barnes and the late Mamie Foster.

Funeral Service will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road (Beside South Carroll High School) on Wednesday November 30, 2005 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will be in Taylorsville U.M. Church cemetery .

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

Walter A. Schemm, Sr. “ALEX”, age 56, of Randallstown , Died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

He was born February 21, 1949 in Baltimore , MD The son of the late Ralph Nelson Schemm Sr., the late Anna Virginia Proctor Schemm.

Alex graduated from Woodlawn Senior High School . He was employed with the US Postal Service as a letter carrier for the Randallstown Branch for 23 years until disability in 1990. He was a Past Commander for the American Legion Post #122 in Owings Mills. He received an honorable discharge after serving in the US Army for four years and during that time; he served one year in Vietnam .

He was the husband of Mary Louise Schemm (nee Brady) of Randallstown .

Surviving in addition to his wife is son and daughter-in-law Walter A., Jr. and Julie Schemm of Taneytown, MD and son and daughter-in-law Mark Joseph and Susan Schemm of Catonsville , MD.

Grandfather of Justin and Austin and twin boys Jordan and Julian.

Dear brother of Ralph Schemm, Jr. of Louisiana and Sister Leslie Hedrich of Maryland .

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Gary Koontz officiating.

Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park , Sykesville , MD

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA in Winfield on Wed. 7-9 and Thursday 3-5 & 7-9 PM. American Legion Post #122 Owings Mills Memorial Service will be Thursday at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Walter “Roy” Day, Sr., 73 of Taylorsville, MD, died Wednesday April 20, 2005 at his home in Taylorsville.

He was the spouse of the late Betty Ann V. Pickett Day. He was born May 17, 1931 in Frederick County MD the son of the late William Earl Day and the late Pearlie M. Wright Day. He was a Mason and the owner of W. Roy Day Stone, Block and Brick since 1949. He was a member of the Westminster Moose, the Westminster VFW and the Littlestown Eagles. He enjoyed Woodworking, Gardening Camping and socializing with friends at his Shed.

Surviving are Son : Walter Roy Day, Jr. Of Winfield, Daughter and Son-in-law Debra D. and Joseph Dorsey of Taneytown Son and Daughter-in-law Mark A. and Shaun Day of Taylorsville Step-daughter and step-son-in-law Linda and Walter Warehime of Littlestown, PA Step-daughter Wanda Ketterman of Pennsylvania Brother Leo Augustus Day of New Market, Devoted friend and companion Darlene Shipley 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. Also preceded in death by brothers Leslie, Ray, Francis and Fred Day.

A Casual Gathering of Friends will be held on Sunday April 24, 2005 1PM at Mr. Day’s home 2336 Sams Creek Rd. Westminster, MD 21157.

Inurnment Private at Taylorsville UMC cemetery, Taylorsville, MD

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 PM until 9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carroll Hospice, 95 Carroll St. Westminster, MD 21157

William C. Chinault, age 87, of Overbrook Road , Towson , died Monday April 18, 2005 at Keswick Multi-Care in Baltimore , MD.

He was born May 15, 1917 in Baltimore , MD the son of the late William W. Chinault and the late Catherine McNamara Chinault.

He worked for Mass Transit as a Bus Driver. He was a member of St. Pias Church on York Road .

He was the husband of the late Helen May Chinault (nee Cherry).

He was the father of Catharine Cherry Meeks, Helen Frances Knight, Claire Lucille Floyd, Claudia Louise Ittenbach, Elizabeth Jean (Bobbie) Philipp and Gail Roberta Watts; dear brother of Earl and Walter Chinault; also survived by 20 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

Catholic Prayers will be held Saturday March 23, 2005 at 9:30 AM at St. Pias Catholic Church 6428 York Road, with Fr. Robert Traupman of St. Pias Church officiating.

Interment will be in Gardens of Faith cemetery

William E. Smith, age 71, of Sykesville, died Monday March 21, 2005 at his home.

He was born September 18, 1933 in Pittsburgh , PA the son of the late William T. Smith and the late Mary Ann Smith (nee Springfield ).

He was the loving husband of Johanna Bernadette Smith (nee Conko).

He was retired from the United States Air Force where he worked in communications.

Devoted father of son & daughter-in-law William E. & Heather Smith, Jr. of Millersville , MD , daughter & son-in-law Carol L. & Lee T. McKechnie of Woodbine, and daughter Patty A. Smith of Eldersburg. Loving grandfather of Elise and Mason McKechnie.

Also survived by brother Ralph Lee Smith of Florida .

He was a member of the Americna Legion, Train Collectors Association & Toy Train Operators Society.

Funeral Liturgy (Mass) will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2005 at 10:00 AM. at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784 with Fr. Patrick Tonry officiating.

Interment will be in Crownsville Veterans cemetery , Crownsville , MD

There will be no public visitation.

William F. “Bill” Mills, age 56, of Mt. Airy , died Friday February 25, 2005 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster , MD.

He was born February 6, 1949 in McCool , MD the son of Roy Clifton Mills of Silver Run and the late Violet Virginia Lease Mills.

He was a Plumber.

He was the husband of Barbara Anne Mills (nee Yost) for 31 years.

He was the father of Christopher Robin Mills of Westminster , Joshua Allen Mills of Eldersburg and Melissa Ann Mills Rodriguez of Texas.

Also survived by 1 brother, 6 sisters, 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by 2 brothers.

Funeral Service will be held Monday February 28, 2005 at 6:00 P.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating.

Private Interment.

He was the spouse of Shirley Yvonne Harrison Dubbert

He was born May 15, 1938 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Ethel Rill Dubbert and late William F. Dubbert, Sr.

Mr. Dubbert had worked for General Motors and Owned service stations in Lisbon and also Pine Orchard. And also worked for Turf Valley Golf course in several maintenance capacities. He is survived by Son: Sterling William Dubbert, Sr of Woodbine. Son: David Allen Dubbert of Woodbine. Sister: Angela Pond of Towson. Sister: Susan Buckworth of Westminster. Brother: Dennis Dubbert of Elkridge.

Grandchildren: Sterling William Dubbert, Jr. of Santa Clara, CA.

Funeral services will be held Monday February 28, 2005 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Lisa Bandel-Sparks of Lisbon UMC officiating.

Interment will be in Morgan Chapel cemetery, Woodbine, MD

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM

William Thomas Covington, Jr., 68 of Woodbine, MD, died Monday April 11, 2005 at Carroll Hospital Center.

He was the spouse of Helen Irene Welsh Covington of Woodbine.

He was born April 9, 1937 in Hopkinsville , KY the son of the late William Thomas Covington, Sr. and the late Ruby Gibbs Covington.

He worked 31 years for Sweetheart Cup as a Maintenance Man. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are Son and Daughter-in-law Gregory and Robin Covington of Sykesville, Daughter and Son-in-law Pam and Dean Zepp of New Windsor. Daughter and Son-in-law Deborah and Darrell Asbury of Tazewell, VA, Son and Daughter-in-law Rodney and Sally Covington of Sykesville, Sister Martha Covington of Hopkinsville, KY, Brother Herbert Covington of Hopkinsville, KY, 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren Preceded in death by Son Allen Lee Covington.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 14, 2005 11:00 am with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery Woodbine, MD

Wilmer Jack Fitzwater
72, of New Windsor, MD
1932 - 2005

Wilmer Jack Fitzwater, age 72, of New Windsor, died Sunday February 6, 2005 at his home.

He was born December 2, 1932 in Baltimore , MD the son of the late Wilmer George Fitzwater and the late Catherine A. Fitzwater (nee Butler ).

He was the husband of Lorraine A. Fitzwater (nee Shipe). Married 47 years.

He was raised in Lansdowne , MD and then lived in Randallstown till entering the Army and stationed in Germany from 1951-1953. He was a Machine Operator for Western Electric Co. in Baltimore for 22 years. He was very active in Seventh Day Adventist church for many years, loved Bible Studies with inmates at Laundry Facility at Springfield Hospital after retirement he painted and renovated homes and did repair work in the New Windsor area. He was a member of Reisterstown Seventh Day Adventist. He loved gardening.

Loving father of daughter Donna Fitzwater and Larry Devilbiss of New Windsor, daughter Doris and Ed Bowen of Westminster , daughter Carole and Marty Spielman of New Windsor and son Darrin Fitzwater of Finksburg.

Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Dear brother of Dawn Zepp of Westminster and Bruce Fitzwater of Westminster and the late Joan Cutsail.

Funeral Service will be Held Wednesday February 9, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Pastor Steve Wall and Elder Howard Bankes of Westminster Seventh Day Adventist officiating.

Interment Taylorsville U.M. Church cemetery , Taylorsville , MD.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church in Silver Spring , MD.

She was the wife of James I. Vette.

She was the mother of James A. Vette of Mt. Airy , Zoe Vette of Rehoboth Beach , and Pamela Lazas of Downingtown , PA. and Alan F. Vette of Hillsborough , N.C. also survived by 9 grandchildren. She was predeceased by Brother Harold F. Cashmore

Memorial Service will be held Saturday September 24, 2005 at St. Michaels R.C. Church ( Old Church ) at 11:00 A.M. in Poplar Springs with Fr. Michael Ruane officiating.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way Suite 908 , Eldersburg , MD 21784 and or Carroll Hospice, Inc. 95 Carroll Street , Westminster , MD 21157 .
