Sarah Gail Sines

Sarah Gail Sines, 71 of Hagerstown, died, Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

Born July 5, 1934 in Uniontown, PA, she was the daughter of the late, Andrew and Mildred (Feather) Cooley. Mrs. Sines was a homemaker. She was a member of the Gateway Ministries Church of God in Williamsport. She is survived by one son, Edward A.Sines of Martinsburg, two sisters, Doris Provencal of Baltimore and Gladys Nicola of Florida and two grandchildren.In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Sines and one sister, Shirley Demoucelle.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel on Friday,
January 6, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Victor C. Fowlkes, Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services

Robert (Bob) Eugene Miller

Robert "Bob" Eugene Miller, 77, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, January 8th, 2006 at Washington County Hospital.

Mr. Miller was born on July 6, 1928, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Elmer (Step Father) and Helen Harriet (Spickler) Hebb. He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in WW II. He worked in ammunitions at Letterkenny Army Depot where he retired. He is survived by his loving wife Catherine Regina "Jean" (Davis) Miller, whom he married on December 24, 1948, a Daughter Cindy J. Horn of Hagerstown, three sons Dennis E. Miller, Kenneth D. Miller, Randy G. Miller all of Hagerstown a brother Richard S. Miller of Williamsport, one grandaughter, Angela M. Higgins of Eagle River Alaska, three great grandchildren, Tyler J. Higgins, Madisyn G. Higgins and Hailey E. Higgins, all of Eagle River, Alaska. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a grandson Brian D. Miller.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 12th, 2006
at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD.
Chaplain Juliana Lesher will officiate burial with military honors
will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11th
from 7-9 PM at the funeral home

Daniel Frank Molnar

Daniel Frank Molnar, 63, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, January 16, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born August 24, 1942 in Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late George M. and Mercedes Hazel Mott Molnar. Mr. Molnar was a graduate of Weirton Madonna Catholic High School.He attended Fairmont State College. He had worked as a teacher, coach, official for many sports, the office manager for Ware Lumber in Belington, WV, coal miner for Mapco Mines in Oakland, MD, resturant manager for several local resturants in Hagerstown, and as a car salesman for Sharrett Inc. of Hagerstown. He is survived by his wife Carole Lee Kirk Molnar whom he married on January 16, 1965. He was blessed with three children, Geneva Mercedes Molnar (Ginnie) of Martinsburg, WV, Daniel Kirk Molnar of Hagerstownand Matthew Meade Molnar of Hagerstown; one brother, George M. Molnar of Weirton, WV and two nieces. In addition to his family, he is survived by two faithful companions Mimi and Angel, the dogs of his life. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Frank Wypasek.

Graveside services will be conducted at Rest Haven cemetery, Hagerstown
on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. with the pastor Gil Lockwood
officiating. Interment will follow.
Friends will be received at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel,
Hagerstown on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 from 6-9 P.M

Velma Nevara Miller

Velma Nevara Miller, 77, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born February 7, 1928 in Bainbridge, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late, James L. and Allie G. (Barbree) Donalson. Mrs. Miller had attended the Church of Christ, Leitersburg Pike.She was an employee of the former Town and Country Foodland, Hagerstown.She is survived by two sons, Robert R. Miller and Harry "Jim" Miller, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Mary Haltiwanger of TX;two grandchildren, Pamela J. Jenkins and Angela R. Carbaugh and five great grandchildren.In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Herbert Miller, one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown
on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 11:00 A.M.
with the Rev. Luz Maiuri officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 7-9 P.M.

Margaret Suzanne Sharman

Margaret Suzanne Sharman, 79, died Monday, January 30, 2006 in Salem.

Born, June 16, 1926 in Havre De Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late, Clarence E. and Margaret L. (Caples) Buell. She retired as a Accounts Payable Clerk for Martin Marietta Aluminum. She is survived by five children, Ellen Patton of Bel Air, MD, Karen Bermudez of Salem, VA, John R. Sharman, Jr. of Charlotte, NC Susan Gregory of Monroe, NC and Keith Sharman of Frederick, MD; one brother, James M. Buell of Finksburg, MD and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Sharman, Sr. and her daughter, Robin Townsend.

A memorial service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel,
1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, on Saturday, February 4, 2006
at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.

Mary L. DeMottez

Mary L. DeMottez, 92, of Hagerstown, died, Monday, January 30, 2006 at the Beverly Health Care Center, Hagerstown.

Born, May 10, 1913 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Mable (Shaffer) DeMottez. Miss DeMottez was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a Housekeeper at Washington County Hospital. She was a former member of The Girls Club of Hagerstown. She is survived by two sister Isabelle Marani of Delta, PA and Madeline DeMottez of Hagerstown. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, Joseph and Paul DeMottez. At her request her body will be cremated.

Graveside services will be conducted at Rest Haven cemetery on Wednesday,
February 1, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. George A. Limmer officiating.
Inurnment will follow.

Russell Edward Hammersla

Russell Edward Hammersla, 51, of Hagerstown, passed away, Friday, February 3, 2006 at Washington County Hospital.

Born, September 16, 1954 in Hagerstown, he was the son of Jack L. Hammersla, of Smithsburg and the late Connie J. (Kershner) Hammersla. Mr. Hammersla was Lutheran by faith. He was a painter by trade with over twenty years of service with James J. Smith and Sons of Greencastle. He was an avid Nascar and Dale Earnhart fan. In addition to his father he also is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 23 years, Tracey L. (Myers) Hammersla, one daughter, Kristi L. Hammersla and grandchildren, Victoria A. Hammersla and Kyle E. Hammersla of Doraville, Georgia, one sister, Brenda J. East and nieces, Roxanne, Cynthia and Jessica East of Hagerstown, Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law, Marlene and Ray Barger, Sr. of Hagerstown, Father-In-Law, Marvin D."Buck" Myers and wife Joyce of Brunswick, MD, Sister-In-Law and Brother-In-Law, Jackie and James Lyles of Williamsport, he also is survived by many friends and co-workers. In addition to his mother he also was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Hammersla.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown
on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 11:00 A.M.,
with the Rev. Raymond J. Barger, Jr., officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 7-9 P.M.

Juanita Moler (Avey) Johnson

Juanita Moler (Avey) Johnson, 86, of Hagerstown, died, Monday, February 6, 2006 at the Berlin Rehabilition Center, Berlin, MD.

Born, October 2, 1919 in Hedgesville, WV she was the daughter of the late, Paul and Edna (Moler) Avey.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hagerstown. She had attended Berkeley Springs High School. She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl L. Kokkinos of Bishopville, MD, two sisters, Helen Youngblood and Eileene Mason, both of Hagerstown, three brothers, Paul Avey, Jr. of Hagerstown, Leslie Avey of Great Cacapon and Lewis Avey of Martinsburg, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville A. Johnson, one son, Terry A. Johnson, one daughter, Kay Mason and two brothers, Rollen Avey and Delvan "Max" Avey.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown
on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 1:00 P.M.
with Pastor Robert Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 7-9 P.M.

Robert Dean Schnurr

Robert Dean Schnurr, 58, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, February 12th, 2006 at Washington County Hospital
He was born on November 19, 1947 in Hagerstown, Maryland and was the son of the late George Richard and Mary Virginia (Martin) Schnurr. He was a resident of the Potomac Center at 1390 Marshall St. Cottage one in Hagerstown. He is survived by one sister Joanne Tress Kropka of Concord, NC. and two brothers Richard D. Schnurr of Willliamsport, MD. and Randolph D. Schnurr of Indianapolis, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 16th,
at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown,
with Pastor Dennis Rhoe of Johnstown Church Of The Brethren officiating.
Mausoleum entombment will follow in Rest Haven cemetery Hagerstown.
The Family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Harry Coolidge House

Harry Coolidge House, 81 of Hagerstown, died, Monday, February 13, 2006 at Washington County Hospital.

Born, March 7, 1924 in Winchester, VA he was the son of the late, David A. and Pearl R. (Hott) House. Mr. House, was a 35 year veteran of the Hagerstown Police Department retiring in June of 1984.He was a US Navy veteran of WW II, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Christ Fellowship Assembly of God Church, Hagerstown, the Faternal Order of Police, Lodge No.88, Woodman of the World, Lodge No.1, Independent Junior Fire Company No.3, Imperium Neptuni Regis Society and the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. He is survived by two daughters, Linda M. Bagley of Maugansville and Bonita E. Taylor of Hagerstown; one son, Larry G. House of Westminster; four sisters, Dorothy McClung of Hagerstown, Erma Snyder of Hagerstown, Judy Moore of Big Pool and Tempe Swope of Hagerstown; one brother, Donald house of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flo E. "Babe" (Smoot) House; one sister, Thelma German and one brother, Leroy House.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown
on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 1:00 P.M.
with the Rev. Fred M. Harris officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven cemetery where military honors will be
accorded by the Maryland State Navy Honor Guard and the F.O.P. Color Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 7-9 P.M.
where a memorial service will be conducted by the
F.O.P. Lodge No. 88 at 8:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the
Faternal order of Police, Lodge No. 88, P.O.Box 61, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Gary Lee Rowe

Gary Lee Rowe, 59, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, February 23rd, 2006 at Washington County Hospital.

He was born on October 5, 1946, in Hagerstown, and was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Eva Monroe (Spidle) Rowe. He was a 1965 graduate of North Hagerstown High School He was employed as a Cab Driver at Miller's Transportation and previously as a driver for Personnel Transport Inc. with the Railroad. He was a model car collector and a remote control enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Evelyn McClanathan, sisters Darlene Suffecool of Clear Spring, and Vivian Suffecool of Hagerstown, a Brother Wilson Rowe of Clear Spring, step-daughters Nancy McCauley, Bonnie Massey and Thelma Allen all of Hagerstown, step-sons Jay McClanathan of Montana and Ted McClanathan of Hagerstown. He is also survived by a niece a nephew and 16 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son Kevin L. McClanathan Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27th, at 1:00 PM
in Rest Haven Funeral Chapel 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown,
with Pastor Raymond J. Barger Jr officiating.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
at the Funeral Home.
