Georgia Indiana McSherry

Georgia Indiana McSherry, 94, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at the Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville, Pa.

Born Feb. 16, 1912, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Barbara E. Minor Manious. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Emanuel McSherry. She was a nurse.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hagerstown. She is survived by four daughters, Barbara J. Dunn-Smith of Hagerstown, Dora E. White of Little River, S.C., K. Marlene Shafer of Hagerstown and
Virginia D. Hammond of Dalton, Neb.; one sister, Mary Rummel of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Debra Harbaugh. She was preceded in death by one half sister, Gertrude Funk; one granddaughter; and one grandson.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel in Hagerstown.
Pastor Tom Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church,
15 High St., Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Paul Edward Richardson

Paul Edward Richardson, Jr, 62, of Falling Waters, died Thursday, March 9th, 2006 at Avalon Manor Health Care Center in Hagerstown.

He was born on December 18, 1943, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Paul Edward and Margaret Ellen (Eyler) Richardson. He was Catholic. He graduated from St Maria Gorretti High School in 1962
He retired from Mack Truck in 1993. Mr. Richardson was a member of the Elks Lodge #378 Hagerstown, Eagles Club, Inc in Waynesboro, Sons Of The American Legion Post #211 in Funkstown, Owls Club, Inc. in Waynesboro and Improved Order Of Red Men Council Lodge 84 in Williamsport. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Pamela Richardson and an Aunt Lucille Pheabus of Frederick.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 1:00 PM, March 13th at
Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown.
Rev. Robert Morey will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home

Thelma Virginia Reynolds

Thelma Virginia Reynolds, 92, of Bridgewater, formerly of Hagerstown, died, Thursday, March 9, 2006 at The Bridgewater Nursing Home.

Born on September 13, 1913 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late, Adolph and Grace Lee(Adams) Grooms. Mrs. Reynolds was a Beautician and owned and operated Thelma's Beauty Salon in Hagerstown. She was a member of Washington Square United Methodist Church, Hagerstown; Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 89, Hagerstown; Funkstown American Legion, Post 211 Ladies Auxiliary; The Business and Professional Womens Organization and Soroptimist Club. She is survived by one daughter, Beverley A. Lambert of Bridgewater; one sister, Ann Corrine Yeakle of Hagerstown; two grandsons and one great grandson.She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Gernard C. Bloyer and her 2nd husband Clever Reynolds and two brothers, Calvin Grooms and Carroll Grooms.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown
on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 1:00 P.M.
with the Rev. Louis L. Emerick officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgewater Home Inc. 302 N.
Second St., Bridgewater, VA 22812

Carl Welty Kell

Carl Welty "Ike" Kell, 82, of Funkstown, passed away, Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

He was born in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania on April 1, 1923, the son of the late John A. and Elta R. (Hollinger) Kell. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Funkstown. He was a 1941 graduate of Greencastle High School. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He retired after 42 years as an Engineer with the Western Maryland Railway. Mr. Kell was a member of the Alsatia Club, Western Maryland Old Timers Club, Elks Lodge #378 Hagerstown, a Charter Member of the Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319 in Greencastle PA & a member of the Dixon Troxell Post 211 in Funkstown. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Luciana Marie (Anfusio) Kell. Surviving are one son, Kim S. Kell of Hagerstown, one daughter, Carla M. (Kell) Newton of Turner Maine, a sister Priscilla R. Horst of Winter Park, FL., a brother Wayne H. Kell of Chambersburg, PA. and 2 grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary G. King and three brothers James W., John A. and Jesse Kell.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, March 17, 2006 at 1:00 P.M.
at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown,
with Rev. Darrell L. Layman officiating.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven cemetery Hagerstown.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, March 16th
from 7-9 P.M., where a memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 pm,
by VFW Post 6319 of Greencastle, PA.

Elva Marguriete Martin

Elva Marguriete Martin, 87, of Hagerstown, passed away, Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Washington County Hospital.

Born on March 4, 1919 in Big Pool, Maryland she was the daughter of the late, William Henry and Margaret Newton Bowers King. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Grace Calvary Brethren Church, Hagerstown.
She had worked for the Hagerstown Shoe Company and retired from the Hagerstown Ribbon Company as a machine operator. Her favorite love was being with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews during their growing years. In early years she played guitar and sang on local radio. She was an avid sports fan who followed her son's athletic careers as well as being an avid Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles fan.
She is survived by two sons, J. Edward Martin VMD of Harrisburg, PA and Fredric H. Martin of Conyers, GA; one sister, Dorothea D. Staley Hawbaker of Hagerstown; two brothers, Glenn M. King of Clear Spring
and Arthur T. King of Miami, FL; one granddaughter, Kristene R. Straton of Conyers, three grandsons, Kevin R. Martin of Harrisburg, Scott F. Martin of Huntsville, AL, and Andrew Straton of Conyers; two great granddaughters, Allison Straton and Karissa Ann Martin. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harold Daniel Martin, five sisters, Daisey M. Laforce, Mary M. Dundus, Anna E. Socks, Leila M. King, and Gloria H. King, seven brothers, George F. King, Daniel A. King, William L. King, LeRoy H. King, Peter V. King, John E. King and Charles A. King.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 15, 2006
from 12 noon until 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel,
1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Funeral services will follow at the funeral chapel,
on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Charles Mackey officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Funeral cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the
Hospice of Washington County, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave.,
Western Maryland Center, 3rd Floor, Hagerstown, MD 21742

June Rebecca Howell Artz

June Rebecca Howell Artz, 80, of Williamsport, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Homewood at Williamsport.

Born August 1, 1925, in Downsville, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Beulah Howell. Her husband, Joseph C. "Joeboy" Artz Jr., died January 2, 1972. She was a 1943 graduate of Williamsport High School.
She had worked as a night shift nurse at Homewood at Williamsport. She is survived by one daughter, Connie J. Young of Hagerstown, two sons, Terry L. Artz and Buck Artz, both of Williamsport; one sister, Phyllis Jacoby of Allentown, PA; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at
Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Pastor Reginald Rice will officiate.
Arrangements are by Rest Haven Funeral Chapel in Hagerstown

Robert Lee Winters Sr.

Robert Lee Winters Sr., 78, of Hagerstown, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at Avalon Manor Health Care Center.

Born Jan. 12, 1928, in Cresaptown, Md., he was the son of the late James Albert and Myrtle Long Hite Winters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn H. Winters, in 2004. He worked as a drill operator at Mack Trucks for 26 years, retiring in 1988. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42. He is survived by one son, Robert L. Winters Jr. of Hagerstown; one grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jessie Laser; and brothers, Clarence, Herb, Irvin, George and Glenn Winters.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown.
The Rev. John D. Cozzoli will officiate. Burial will follow with military honors in
Rest Haven cemetery, Hagerstown.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home
one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to

Martin I. Jack Harbaugh

Martin I. "Jack" Harbaugh, 85, of New Castle, Delaware., passed away March 20, 2006.

Jack was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Hagerstown, Md. Jack worked as a supervisor at Boeing. He later worked at Delaware Park as a gatekeeper and enjoyed the horseracing there. Jack was a loving, caring person who was always willing to give a helping hand. He spent a great deal of time with his grandson, and later his great-grandson, who was named after him. Jack will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Alice; his daughter, Sherry Vito; his grandson, Derek Vito and his wife, Julie; his great-grandson, Jack; and his sister, Betty Lou Glenn.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 25, 2006, from noon to 2 p.m.
at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE
19702, followed by a service in celebration of Jack's life at 2 p.m.
A visitation also will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2006,
at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD
21742, from 4 to 7 p.m.
A service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 27,
at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.

Harry Eugene Malott

Harry Eugene Malott, 60, of Hagerstown, Maryland died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at his home.

Born Sept. 22, 1945, in Downsville, he was the son of Clarence E. Malott and Gladys Harbaugh Jenkins.
He was a roofer with Siebert Enterprises. He is survived by one daughter, Nicole Lynne Malott of Hagerstown; three sisters, Betty J. Nokes of Hagerstown, and Mildred E. Wilson and Barbara A. Middleton, both of Mount Airy, Md.; two brothers, Gene E. Malott of Spotsylvania, Va. and Clarence Malott of Hagerstown; nieces; and nephews.

Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel,
Hagerstown. The Rev. Loyal Vanderveer will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of
Washington County, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Agnes Irene Rudisill

Agnes Irene "Aggie" Rudisill, 78, of Midway and formerly of Hagerstown died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Tallahassee (Fla.) Memorial Hospital.

Born April 27, 1927, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Viola Stotelmeyer Kauffman. She retired, after 42 years of serve, as a seamstress from the London Fog factory in Boonsboro.
She was a Methodist. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul L. Rudisill Sr.; one daughter, Joyce McElroy of Quincy, Fla.; one son, Paul L. Rudisill Jr. of Keller, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel
in Hagerstown. The Rev. Owen Womack will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to
