She was of the Catholic Faith.

She was a member of ILG Garment Worker’s Association in New York.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 1:00 pm on Sunday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Randy Reid and Chaplain Josephine Benton officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Williamsport, MD.

He was a truck driver and most recently employed by Food Lion in Greencastle, PA and was previously drove for various companies in Washington County.

He previously attended Calvary Temple Williamsport, MD.

Son: Christopher J. Myers of Hagerstown, MD

He was predeceased by his daughter Heather R. Miller.

There will be a private burial where he will be laid to rest beside his daughter.

Falling Waters, WV - Curtiss Lee Taylor, Sr., 59, of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center Winchester, VA.

Born, July 4, 1953 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Charles Lester, Sr. and Ruth R. Rickard Taylor.

He was a 1971 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD.

He was employed by Maryland Correctional Training Center as a Correctional Officer until retiring in 1999. He was currently employed for Allied Waste in Hagerstown, MD.

He was a regular at Bingo at the Clear Spring Fire Co. and going to the shooting matches at the Western Maryland Sportsman’s Club and Potomac Fish & Game Club.

He was predeceased by a brother Charles L. Taylor, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service on Friday from 1:00-2:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Hagerstown, MD - Helen Rebecca “Muzzie” Baker Miller, 97 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.

Born, May 3, 1915 in Downsville, MD to the late Frank Tilghman and Mazie Pearl Cunningham Dick.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Russell Baker in 1981 and her second husband, Deloyn Roy Miller in 2005.

She and her husband Walter R. Baker were the founders and owners of Baker Insurance Agency, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD where she worked until her retirement.

She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God Hagerstown, MD and also a member of the Senior Citizens Group at the church.

Survivors Include:

Daughter: Janice A. Lowry Hamilton and her husband George of Hagerstown, MD

Daughter In Law: Barbara A. Baker of Williamsport, MD

Sister: M. Naomi Long of Hagerstown, MD

Born, October 15, 1925 in Pennfield, PA to the late Daniel Potter and Maudeline Oakman Peoples.

He was a graduate of Clearfield High School Clearfield, PA.

He was employed with Maryland Correctional Institute Hagerstown, MD as a Supervisor until retiring in 1987.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II and received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and Victory Medal.

He was of the Protestant Faith.

He was a member of W.D. Byron Post #1936 VFW of Hagerstown, MD.

Frank Walter Bell
8/24/1926 - 10/31/2012

Frank Walter Bell, 86, of Falling Waters, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home in Boonsboro, Md.

Born Aug. 24, 1926, in Mapleville, Md., he was the son of the late Rex Laverne and Elsie Mae Humphry Bell.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Raetta Stuller Bell, in 1995.

He was a 1945 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

He was employed by Callas Contractors in Hagerstown, Md., as a superintendent until his retirement.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He received the American Defense Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal, and was a carbine expert.

He was a member for 40-plus years of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Clear Spring, Md., where he taught Sunday school and was on the church council.

He was a member of National Post Chapter of the American Legion, life member of National Rifle Association, and member of Associated Builders & Contractors Cumberland Valley Chapter.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter, coin and stamp collector, and wood butcher.

He is survived by his wife, Constance G. Bailey Bell, married for 14 years, of Falling Waters; daughter, Debra S. Elliott of Bedford, Pa., daughter, Saundra L. Pryor of Waynesboro, Pa.; son, John H. Bell of Falling Waters, son, Frank W. Bell Jr. of Falling Waters; sister, Rebecca Stuller of Falling Waters; brother, Robert R. Bell of Boonsboro, Md.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Jean Bell and Theresa A. Torsky; and one brother, Harry L. Bell.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md. The funeral home will be open Saturday after 1 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, with Pastor Elaine Swinehart officiating. Military graveside services will be provided by AMVETS Post 10 and Marine Corps League of Hagerstown. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Clear Spring.

Dorothy Jane Hilliard

Williamsport, MD - Dorothy Jane (Hilliard) Brown, 73, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at her home under the care of Hospice of Washington County.

Born, June 30, 1939 in Martinsburg, WV to the late Herman and Esther Turner Hilliard.

She was a 1957 graduate of Martinsburg High School Martinsburg, WV. She was also a 1958 graduate of West Virginia College of Beauty Culture.

She was the owner/operator of Jane’s Beauty Salon in Williamsport, MD for 45 years.

She was a member for 47 years of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church Williamsport, MD and served as a Deacon.

She was also a member of Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocahontas Williamsport, MD.

Survivors Include:

Husband: James “Art” Brown, Jr. married for 50 years of Williamsport, MD

Daughter: Julia Taylor and her husband David of Stafford, VA

Son: Jason Brown and his girlfriend Lesley Johnson of Unger, WV

Son: Jerred Brown of Williamsport, MD

Grandchildren: Christopher, Danielle, Angelica, Joshua, Kody, Tiffany, Jack, Gabriella, and Olivia
