Born Jan. 14, 1949, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Grayson Lyon and Violet Glendora Haupt Hutzell. He was a 1967 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He was employed by Bidle Farms in Middletown, Md. He was a Protestant. He is survived by two sisters, Clara Hollar and Debra J. Moore, both of Sharpsburg. SHARPSBURG - Maurice Sylvester "Peck" Sigler, 90, of Sharpsburg, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at his home. Born April 19, 1918, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late John Henry and Mary Lucinda Lynn Sigler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Louise Grimes Sigler, in 1993. He was employed by White Oak Naval Ordinance Laboratory in Silver Spring, Md., retiring in 1974. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Pleasantville Church of God. He was a member of Potomac American Legion Post 202 of Williamsport. He is survived by one daughter, Margaret R. Digirolamo of Laurel, Md.; two sons, James M. Sigler of Reno, Nev., and Thomas H. Sigler of Sharpsburg; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. The Rev. Sherry Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, with military graveside services by AMVETS Post 10 and the Marine Corps League of Hagerstown. WILLIAMSPORT - SueAnn Sullivan, 79, of Williamsport, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital. Born May 31, 1929, in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter Theodore and Ruth Elizabeth Constable Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Sullivan, in 1968. She was a graduate of Brush Valley (Pa.) School, attended Indiana (Pa.) University and was a graduate of Clarion State Teachers College. She was employed at Johns Hopkins University Research Center in Hagerstown as a research assistant, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamsport. She served on the board of the Williamsport Library, was a member of Federal C&O Canal Commission, served on the Williamsport C&O Canal Association, and was a member of the Washington County Historical Society and the Singer Society of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, where she served as a docent. She is survived by her companion, Robert W. Cline of Williamsport; one daughter, Sandra S. Graff of Boonsboro; six sons, David J. Sullivan of Roanoke, Va., Donald L. Sullivan of North East, Md., Patrick J. Sullivan of Milford, Mass., Paul T. Sullivan of Reading, Pa., Richard T. Sullivan of Hagerstown and Stuart P. Sullivan of Downingtown, Pa.; two brothers, T. Richard Cunningham of Roanoke and William C. Cunningham of Homer City, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamsport. The Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport. Born Sept. 26, 1941, in Washington, D.C., to the late Oliver H. and Ethel Schreiber Lettmann. She was a 1959 graduate of Bladensburg High School, Bladensburg, Md. She was employed by Rockville Circuit Court, Rockville, Md., until retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Lutheran church in Rockville. She was a past member of Red Feather Council 59 Degree of Pocohontas, Williamsport, Md. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Survivors include her husband, James P. Seabolt, married April 3, 1985, of Falling Waters; son, Carl W. Ford of Florida; son, Mark L. Ford of Rockville; sister, Carol Kaye of Holly Hills, Fla.; granddaughter, Heather Lee Ford of Olney, Md.; grandson, Christopher Mark Ford of Rockville; grandson, Jacob Axl Joseph Ford of Rockville; and granddaughter, Cassandra Nichole Ford of Rockville. CUMBERLAND, Md. - Dale Eugene Roberts, 59, of 41 Frederick St., Apt. 2, Cumberland, Md., died Friday, March 13, 2009, at his home. Born Feb. 7, 1950, in Hagerstown, Md., to the late Alden Jeremiah Roberts and Katherine Louise "Kitty" Kerns Roberts Miller. He was of the Christian faith. Dale's professional and technical interest in the game of pool was a chance for travel and success in tournaments all over the U.S. His expertise in appraisal of antique furniture and collectibles offered gainful employment for years in a highly competitive market. His love of animals and ability for caring and uncanny sense of human nature, along with an abiding sense of God's grace, were other attributes. Not without a finely honed sense of humor, Dale preferred to see the ups and downs of life as evidence of higher conditions of the ever-searching human spirit. His friends and family will recall a generous, kindly, shy individual personally willing to listen and to defend others' opinions or differences. He will be remembered and missed. Survivors include sister, Donna Steiner of Hagerstown; sister, Anna Holland of Hagerstown; sister, Sandy Duffey of Hagerstown; sister, Linda Kline of Boonsboro, Md.; brother, William Roberts of Hagerstown; and seven nieces and nephews. BOONSBORO - Bernard Harlan "Bones" Renner, 59, of Boonsboro, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Bones was born Jan. 8, 1950, in Hagerstown, to Pauline Louise Spickler Renner of Boonsboro and the late Harlan Eugene Renner. Bones was a graduate of Boonsboro High School Class of 1968. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Bones was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Boonsboro. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Maryland Chapter 14. Besides his mother, Bones is survived by two daughters, Leanna Skaggs and Heather Bisker, both of Bradford, Pa.; a sister, Sharon Wade and her husband, Ed, of Middletown, Md.; two nieces, Renn Barnhart and her husband, Mathew, of Sharpsburg and Terra Semler and her husband, Preston Jr., of Halfway; nephew, Caleb Wade of Middletown; great-niece, Alaina Semler of Halfway; and a great-nephew, Caleb M. Wade of Hagerstown. Bones was preceded in death by a brother, Larry E. Renner. Born, October 16, 1928 in Baltimore, MD to the late Vernon Alfred and Ethel Clara Gosnell Hunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. "Ed" Spurrier on January 19, 2006.

She was a graduate of Western High School of Baltimore, MD class of 1946.

She was employed as a division secretary with United Way of Washington County until her retirement.

Kass was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She was a member of St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church Williamsport, MD.

She was a tresurer with the Western Maryland Chapter American Parkison's Disease Association; a volunteer at St. Mary's School, Hagerstown; former Den Mother Cub Scout, Cumberland, MD; Potomac Post #202 American Legion Auxillary Williamsport, MD.

Born, June 8, 1932 in South Londonderry Township, Lebanon County, PA the son of the late Warren Leon and Carrie Edna Gerberich McClure.

He co-owned and operated the Busy Broom Cleaning Service a commercial building cleaning service for over 50 years retiring in 1998.

He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

He loved painting in oils and acrylics, especially scenery and portraits.

He is of the Christian Faith.

He was a member of the Patsy Cline Fan Club of Winchester, VA; Amvets Post #10, Hagerstown and Funkstown American Legion.

Born Feb. 21, 1941, in Honolulu, he was the son of the late Percy and Nellie Wilson. He retired as a locksmith with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Fleet Marines, having served in Vietnam. He was a Christian. He was a member of Antietam Post 236 American Legion, Sharpsburg, and Sharpsburg Lions Club. Born March 13, 1929, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late John Edward and Lula Ida Hershey Jones. His wife, Ruth Elizabeth “Libby” Boyles Jones, died in 1993. He was employed by GM Parts Division in Martinsburg, W.Va., until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport. He was a member of Local UAW of Martinsburg. He is survived by one daughter, Laura M. Mary Ann Younkins, 62, of 17823 Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at her home. Born Aug. 6, 1946, in Hagerstown to the late George Luther and Wanda June Rohrer Waters. She was a 1964 graduate of Boonsboro High School. She was employed by Weiss Brothers Paper of Hagerstown for 44 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Sharpsburg, Md. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi of Hagerstown. Survivors include her husband, Charles Eugene Younkins, married for 43 years, of Hagerstown; daughter, Heather A. Younkins of Martinsburg, W.Va.; daughter, Holli A. Rowland and her husband, Walter Rowland IV of Hagerstown; brother, Kent Baker and his wife, Betty, of Abingdon, Md.; granddaughter, Brittany Y. Marston of Hagerstown; grandson, Bruce E. Younkins of Martinsburg; and great-grandson, Victor L. Marston of Hagerstown. The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md., on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Thursday for the convenience of family and friends. FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Larry Powell Ervin, 71, of 10006 Williamsport Pike, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at his home. Born Feb. 23, 1937, in Bartow, W.Va., he was the son of the late Elbert Orndorff and Opal Elizabeth Hefner Ervin. He worked for Winebrenner Trucking in Hagerstown. He attended Harmony United Methodist Church in Marlowe, W.Va. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce F. Ervin of Falling Waters; one son, Philip M. Ervin of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; and one sister, Sue West of Painesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Robin L. Ervin. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church, Falling Waters. The Rev. Terri Cofiell will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony cemetery, Falling Waters. Holly Frances Monaghan, 53, of Hagerstown, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at Washington County Hospital. Born Nov. 27, 1955, in Lybia, Tripoli, she was the daughter of Mary Jane Moore of Sykesville, Md., and the late William Charles Lindblad. She was a graduate of Robert E. Peary High School in Rockville, Md. She received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland and a master's degree from Hood College in Frederick, Md. She worked as a teacher for the Washington County Board of Education. She attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Hagerstown. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Carly Hose of Clear Spring and Megan Monaghan of Hagerstown; three brothers, David Karr and Jeffrey Lindblad of Edgewood, Md., and Bruce Lindblad of Woodbine, Md.; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Clear Spring. The Rev. Steven L. McCarty will officiate. The family requests the omission of flowers. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mary A. Shawyer and Heather R. Shawyer, both of Hagerstown; one brother, Justin L. Ragland Jr. of Hagerstown; maternal grandparents, Whitney and Linda Mann of Rohrersville; and paternal grandmother, Barbara A. Ragland of Hagerstown. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Douglas A. Turner. Services will be private. Arrangements are by Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport.

Betts Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood M. Carbaugh Sr., in 1974. She was a homemaker. She was a Protestant. She is survived by six daughters, Patricia Willard and Evelyn Lipko, both of Hagerstown, Grace Kimble, Thelma Carbaugh and Mary Socks, all of Williamsport, and Donna Hock of Chambersburg, Pa.; four sons, Elwood Carbaugh Jr. of Hagerstown, Lewis Carbaugh of Falling Waters, W.Va., Jerry Carbaugh of Chambersburg and Terry Carbaugh of Williamsport; three sisters, Mary Little of Hagerstown, and Geraldine Jordan and Goldie Staley, both of Falling Waters; one brother, Henry Murray of Hagerstown; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Murray and Bessie Henson; and six brothers, Kenneth Murray, William Murray Sr., Lewis Murray Sr., James Murray, George Lesher and Perry Lesher. Born March 17, 1943, in Fairplay, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Russell and Evelyn Geraldine Moats Brechbill. Her husband, Carl Andrew Horchner, died in 1999. She attended South Hagerstown High School. She was a homemaker. She was a Christian. She is survived by her companion, Kenny Cook of Hagerstown; one daughter, Cheryl M. Horchner of Hagerstown; one son, Paul A. Horchner of Chambersburg, Pa.; five sisters, Betty J. Baird of Gerrardstown, W.Va., Shirley G. Purnell of Frederick, Md., Judy E. Lundquist of St. Augustine, Fla., Julie L. Poe of Clear Spring, and Debbie K. Long of Hagerstown; five brothers, Wayne R. Brechbill, James N. Brechbill and Robert G. Brechbill, all of Hagerstown, and Michael S. Brechbill and John J. Brechbill, both of Hedgesville, W.Va.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn C. Brechbill and Gregory L. Brechbill. Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport. The Rev. Ernest Witmer will officiate. Born, April 29, 1924 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Isaiah and Thelma Helena Crabill Myers.

He was employed as a Salesman with Superior Dairy for 26 years and then with O.P. Bohman Inc. of Hagerstown, MD.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII Company D 508th Parachute Infantry serving in the European and Africa Theater. He received the Purple Heart, Croix de Guerre Belgian Fourragere and Netherland Order of Wilhelmia.

He was of the Protestant Faith.

He was a member of Webster E. Harrison Post #26 American Legion Hancock, MD.
