Mrs. June Everman McCreery
Mrs. June Everman McCreery, 88, of Frederick, died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Washington
Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. She was the wife of the late Charles Edwin McCreery, who
preceded her in death in September 1992.
Born on October 1, 1919, in Flemingsburg, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Arthur Allen and
Sara Margaret Sturgil Everman. For undergraduate studies, June attended Huntington College in
Indiana; and attained her Master's degree from Hood College, Frederick.
June taught school for 30 years in Mount Airy with the Carroll County Public Schools, and was a
devoted and active member of Damascus United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Terry Caveney of Williamsburg, Va., Myrna McCreery of Apache
Junction, Ariz., and Maralee Jill McCreery of Frederick; six grandchildren, Fawn Caveney of Boise,
Idaho, Heather Domangue of Colorado Springs, Colo., Robin Caveney of Silver Spring, and Forest
Caveney of Ann Arbor, Mich., Brendan Bowie of Apache Junction, Ariz., Kaitlyn Skye and Jesse Daye
Delph, both of Frederick; as well as four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Wynona Ridgeway of St.
Joe, Mich., and Eileen Dwyer of Greenfield, Ohio.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
The Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, Damascus is handling the arrangements. There will not be
calling at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at her church,
Damascus United Methodist Church, Damascus. The family will receive friends at the church
beginning at 2 p.m. until time of services.
Interment will follow services in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, Damascus United Methodist
Church, 9700 New Church St., Damascus, MD 20872.

Janet D. Mielke
MIELKE JANET DANIELS MIELKE On Sunday evening, April 5,
2009, JANET MIELKE (nee Daniels), 96 of Monrovia, MD, formerly
of Sunrise, FL. Beloved wife of the late Russell C. Mielke; loving
mother of David R. Mielke of Fairfax, VA and J.C. Mielke of
Monrovia. Also survived by two grandchildren, five great grandchildren
and a niece. Friends may call at the MOLESWORTH WILLIAMS
FUNERAL HOME, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD on
Thursday, April 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be at
the funeral hone on Friday, April 10 at 10 a.m. Interment will
follow in Ft. Lincoln cemetery, Brentwood, MD.

Sandra A. Parks
Mrs. Sandra A. Parks, 56, of Frederick, MD died August 19, 2012 in Mt. Airy,
MD.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday August 22, 2012 at 6 p.m. at
Molesworth- Williams P.A. Funeral Home 26401 Ridge Road Damascus,
Maryland.

Bobby Ellis Seal
Mr. Bobby Ellis Seal, 60, formerly of Laytonsville, MD,
passed away suddenly on Wednesday August 15, 2012, at
his Hagerstown, MD, home surrounded by his family. Born
in Olney, MD, February 11, 1952, he was the son of Lucille
(Russell) Seal of Frederick, MD, and the late Orbin Seal.
Bobby worked many years for Jefferson & Buchemier Inc. and Dennis Fling
Excavating, both of Rockville, MD. For the past 20 years Bobby was a truck
driver for the International Gem & Jewelry Shows Inc. of Rockville, MD,
driving coast to coast.
The love for his family was unconditional. He will be remembered as a
devoted, hardworking husband, father and grandfather. He most certainly
will be remembered as a man with the biggest heart, always there to lend a
hand and never turned a soul away.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife Delores, of Hagerstown, MD; two
daughters Marie Reed and husband Chuck, of Hagerstown, MD, and Bobbie
A. Seal, of Hagerstown, MD; son, Michael C. Seal and wife Danielle, of
Damascus, MD; and seven grandchildren, Christopher, Kylee, Cherokee,
Matthew, Lexi, Sierra and Cayden. He is also survived by eight brothers;
four sisters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his
father, Bobby was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Ted.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 6 to 9 p.m. at Molesworth Funeral Home, Damascus, MD. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday August 22, 2012, at 11 a.m., also at
Molesworth Funeral Home, Damascus, MD.
Interment will be in the Seal's Family cemetery, Etchison, MD.Celebration of
Life will immediately follow at the Damascus Fire Department Activities
Center, 10211 Lewis Drive, Damascus, MD.

Barbara Lorraine Wiltshire
Mrs. Barbara Lorraine (Burrows) Wiltshire, 73, born February 18, 1939, in
Baltimore, Maryland, went home to be with Jesus on August 14, 2012 in
Conway, SC. She was the daughter of the late James T. and Lora L.
(Johnson) Burrows. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth W.
Wiltshire, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Wiltshire of Conway, SC;
daughter, Cindy Trawick and her husband, Rick, of Monrovia, MD; son, Rob
Wiltshire and his wife, Kelly, of Conway, SC; and eight grandchildren. She
was devoted to her family and especially loved cooking for them and knitting
slippers and blankets.
The family will receive friends at Molesworth-Williams, P.A., Funeral Home,
26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD, 20872 on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from
3-5 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012,
at 11 a.m. The Rev. Gary Hicks will officiate.

Elsie Butt Allnutt
Mrs. Elsie Butt Allnutt, 99 of Braddock Heights, Maryland,
formally of Barnesville, Maryland, went to be with The Lord
on Thursday January 10, 2013 at Frederick Memorial
Hospital. Born May 25, 1913 in Great Falls, Virginia the eldest
of 13 siblings born to the late Stoddard and Martha Alfred.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Molitor and husband Jerry of
Buffalo, New York, Elnora Caudell and husband Bill of Braddock Heights,
Maryland with whom she resided: one stepson, Lee Butt of Braddock Heights
and one stepdaughter Henrietta Bradley and husband Don of Lottsburg
Virginia, 21 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 25 great- great
grandchildren. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Michelle Abell of
Middletown, Maryland who was also a loving caregiver.
She is also survived by four brothers, Cecil Alfred, Charlie Alfred, Kenley
Alfred and Lawrence Alfred all of Virginia and many nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents and husbands, James Southerland, Erven Butt and
Edward Allnutt, she was preceded in death by two children, Jimmy
Southerland and Anna Anderson, one stepdaughter Daisy Jenkins, siblings
Mary Scott, Lester Alfred, Newman Alfred, Roy Alfred, Floyd Alfred, Walter
Alfred, Leonard Alfred and Norman Alfred.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, at Molesworth-Williams
Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road Damascus, Maryland from 3-5 and 7-9
p.m. A celebration of her life, officiated by Pastor Randy Gilliam will be held
at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14 at Barnesville Baptist Church, 17917
Barnesville Road, Barnesville, Maryland.

Theodore O’Leary Chick
Theodore (Ted) O'Leary Chick, 69, of Damascus, MD, died suddenly at his
home early Saturday morning, January 12, 2013.Ted was born to the late
Raymond Charles and Anna Mae Clark Chick on April 5, 1943, in
Washington, DC.
He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1962. He married Mary
Frances Hayhoe Chick in 1966 and lived together with their 5 children in
Damascus, MD, for over 40 years. Ted was a signalman in the US Navy, a
Montgomery County police officer, owner of Lu and Joe's Tavern in Mt. Airy,
Long and Foster realtor, and a dedicated driver of bus #546 for Frederick
County Schools in Maryland. Ted loved playing golf and riding his Harley,
and he was an avid Redskins' fan.
Above all, he was a loving grandfather of 9.Ted is survived by Mary Frances
Chick, his wife of 46 years; his 5 children and their spouses, Paul and
Theresa Rosner, Mark and Susan Farrelly, James and Kathleen Taylor, Sean
Chick, and Patrick Chick. He is also extremely missed by his 9 grandchildren:
Claudia, Brady, Kaileyne, James Edward, Sydney, Colby, Alice, Quinn, and
Catherine who will always remember their much anticipated vacations with
Grandpa in Ocean City, especially the fun-filled fishing trips on the bay. He is
also survived by his sister, Joan (Bootsie) Roberson, and he was preceded in
death by his two brothers, Raymond and Vincent Chick.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, from 4-6 PM at
Molesworth- Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD.In
lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Damascus
Volunteer Fire Department at 26334 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD
20872.

Betty R. Lanich
Mrs. Betty R. Lanich, 76, of Mount Airy, Maryland passed
from this life on Saturday, January 5, 2013, so she could
run into the loving arms of her Lord. Born May 20, 1936, in
Clearfield, Pennsylvania, she was a faithful member of
Howard Chapel Ridgeville United Methodist Church. She had
an enormous faith along with a kind and generous heart;
she showed the love of God to all of those who knew and loved her.
Betty spent her working years as a Registered Nurse caring for others. After
their retirement, Betty and "Bud" would spend many happy hours together
in the Pennsylvania Woodland at their travel trailer, with family and friends.
Surviving is her high school sweetheart and devoted husband of 51 years
Walter "Bud" Lanich, and their three children: Phyllis Lanich, Douglas Lanich,
and April Caufield. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren: Robert Lanich, Ashley
Duvall, Desirea Lanich, and three beautiful great grandchildren: Mattias
Bishop, Khaliyah Lanich and Airabella Duvall. She is also survived by her two
siblings: Harry Rogers and Caroline Graham. She will be missed by her
family members and friends.
The family will receive friends 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, January 10, at
Howard Chapel Ridgeville United Methodist Church, 1970 Long Corner Road,
Mount Airy, Md 21771, where funeral services will be held Friday, January 11
at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Franklin D. Bishop will officiate.
Inurnment will be private.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial
contributions to the American Heart Association , Mid-Atlantic Affiliate, 4217
Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. Please note on your donation in

Bette Jane Marshall
On Thursday, January 3, 2013, BETTE JANE MARSHALL, of
Laytonsville, MD, holy and devout servant of God, returned
unto His Kingdom and eternal peace at the age of 89
following a fall on December 13, 2012. She was born
Elizabeth Jane Schreiner, on All Saints Day, November 1,
1923, in Firesteel, South Dakota to Peter Vincent and Mary Agnes "Marie"
Heneberry Ellis Schreiner.
She survived her siblings: Pauline, Francis, Patricia, Joseph and Peter; as
well as her half-siblings: Margaret and Chalmers Ellis. She married Earl Leon
Marshall in Newport News, VA, on November 13, 1945. Shortly thereafter,
they moved to the Washington, DC, area and together raised fifteen
children. She lived on her cherished 40-acre farm in Laytonsville, MD, from
1955 to present. Bette was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57
years, Earl, on June 11, 2003, and her sweet second eldest daughter,
Michelle Diane Marshall Baluch, on February 13, 2010.
She was a founding member of St. Paul's Catholic Parish in Damascus, MD,
and remained a member throughout her lifetime. She was a daily
communicant, a member of Catholic Daughters and also attended services
and rosaries at St. John Neumann in Goshen, MD. Following the Roe v. Wade
Supreme Court Ruling, she became very active through the Catholic Church
as a supporter of the Right to Life movement. In was her latter years she
travelled with daughter, Andrea, to Rome and was in audience with the Pope
John Paul II; pilgrimaged to Our Lady of Medugorje (also called Queen of
Peace) in Croatia; and, in 2005 sent Christmas cards to her family from
Bethlehem. Her final trip was to Mexico City with her daughter, Michelle, on
the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe in December, 2007.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Bette was an active citizen
and an entrepreneur. In the late 1970's she changed her legal name from
Elizabeth to Bette and ran for Maryland State legislature as an Independent.
Together with Earl, they owned and operated Yesteryear Farms Antique
Village on their farmette in Laytonsville, MD from 1965 to 1999. In 1974,
she was a founding member of the Antique Dealers Association of Maryland.
Family gatherings, particularly at "The Farm", fed her soul with great joy.
Bette is dearly beloved, cherished and will be celebrated and sadly mourned
by a large and loving family of 14 children, 34 grandchildren and 11 great
grandchildren.

(Dorothy) Marshall, Hardy, VA; Denise (Bruce) Brizendine, Silver Spring,
MD; Deneen (Gary) Martin, Gaithersburg, MD; Kevin (Christine) Marshall,
Westminster, MD; Noel Marshall (Bob Warner), Church Hill, TN; Brian
(Nancy) Marshall, Gaithersburg, MD; Terrence (Cristina) Marshall, Highland,
MD; Andrea Marshall-Chite (Fred Chite), Damascus, MD; Kelly Kelley,
Laytonsville, MD; Erin "Butch" (Carol) Marshall, Laytonsville, MD; Renee
(Mark) Csintyan, Madisonville, LA; Monique (Shelly) Fenlon, Dayton, MD;
Timothy (Kelly) Marshall, Olney, MD.
She also had many, many others that loved her as their honorary "Mom" -
perhaps you're one of them. All Are Welcome. A visitation will be held at St.
Paul's Catholic Church, 9240 Damascus Rd., Damascus, MD, on Monday,
January 7, 2013, 6 to 9 PM; Tuesday, January 8, 10-11 AM. A mass of
Christian burial will then be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's, followed by
internment at St. Rose of Lima Catholic cemetery, 11701 Clopper Rd.,
Gaithersburg, MD.
A celebration of Bette's life will be held at the American Legion Hall, 10201
Lewis Drive, Damascus, MD at 2:00 PM. The Marshall family requests that
expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to St.
Paul's Catholic Church. Arrangements by Molesworth - Williams, P.A.,
Funeral Home, Damascus, MD.
